이 글을 읽는다면, 아마도 나를 꼰대라고 생각할지도 모르겠다. 미디어에서는 앞으로의 기술적인 발전에 대한 자랑을 늘어놓고 있다. 4차 산업 혁명과 5G의 시대. 옛날과 다르게 -불행하게도- 모든 것이 빨리 변해간다. 빠르게 발전한다고 하지 않은 이유가 있다. 이 모든 혜택을 누리게 될 우리의 어리고 위대한 차세대들은, 모든 곳이 인터넷으로 연결되고 원하는 정보는 언제든 검색을 할 수 있고 운전을 하지 않아도 원하는 곳으로 이동이 가능하고 전 세계의 누구와도 자유롭게 소통한다. 이 모든 것이 스마트폰 하나면 가능하다. 애플에서 스마트폰이 공개 된지 10년이 지난 지금, 스마트폰의 보급률은 80%라고 한다. 디지털인지, 돼지털인지 모르시는 나의 윗윗 세대를 제외하면 모든 사람이 쓴다고 보면 된다. 사실 '윗'자를 하나 빼야 하는 것 아닌가를 고심했지만, 그냥 왠지, 그러지 않기로 했다. 인터넷으로 연결되어 있고 멀티태스크가 가능하고 SNS로 집단적인 사고를 하는 21세기의 청소년들은, 자신의 기기를 이용해 새로운 수천 가지의 데이터를 업로드하고 다운로드하며 서핑하고 채팅하고 포스팅한다. 하지만 그들은 기억력이 짧고 계산능력이 거의 없으며 종합적인 사고를 하지 못하고 네티즌십이 부족하다. 복잡한 글을 분석하는 법을 배우지 못했고 정치적인 이야기를 하지 못하며 역사를 이해하지 못하고 과거에 대한 책임을 인지한 적도 없다. 책을 읽고 자기의 생각을 말하거나 스스로 고립되어 주위 사람들과 대화하는 것을 힘들어 한다. 단순한 맞춤법이나 띄어쓰기를 할 줄 모르고 잘못 쓰고 있다는 사실 조차도 모른다. 글을 읽을 줄 알지만 쓸 줄을 모른다. 이른바, 디지털 치매다. 그런데 관연, 그럴까. 정말 기술이 발전하면 그로 인한 기술 의존으로 인해 인터넷 SNS 게임 중독이 발생하고, 운동 부족과 인��ᅡᆫ관계와 건강 문제가 악화되고, 업무 학업 능률이 저하되고, 현실과 가상의 분별력이 떨어지고, 불안증세로 인해 정신이 피폐해질까. 그렇다고 해도 산업혁명 이전의 사고로 오늘을 판단하면 안 된다. 아직 일어나지 않은 일이 두려워 모든 스마트 기기를 다 때려 부술 수는 없지 않은가. 디지털 혁명이 일어나 기존의 질서를 무너뜨리고 초연결시대가 된 지금, 세상의 진리는 왜 무조건 복잡해야 하는가. 왜 메시지는 항상 심오해야 하는가. 글이 아니라 영상과 그림으로 이해하면 안 되는가. 꼰대들의 눈에는 세상이 망할 것처럼 보이겠지만 언제나 어느 시대나 요즘 것들은 망할 것들이었다. 물론 과한 것을 지적하는 것은 맞다. 그러나 디지털 중독 이전엔 이미 영상 중독이 있었고 그전엔 만화 중독, 그전엔 책 중독이 있었다. 이 글을 읽는다면, 아마도 나를 꼰대라고 생각할지도 모르겠다. 그러나 잘 생각해 보자. 지금의 꼰대들도 예전엔, 그 망할 놈의 신세대였더랬다. #꼰대 #KKONDAE #a_slang_word_for_an_old_man_who_has_an_aggressive_attitude #an_old_Fossil #I_am_not_an_Oldie #The_Fourth_Industrial_Revolution #5G #Next_Generation #Rising_Generation #New_Age #Xer #Trendy #Trendyism #Digitai_Dementia #Internet_SNS_GAME_Addiction #Doggone #Intergenerational_Conflict ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ #iPhoneX #hefe_filter #film #filmcamera #filmphoto #filmphotography #vintagecamera #manualcamera #classiccamera ... #yoonil76 #BrainSTorm #photoessay https://www.instagram.com/p/BxBPfR_DsLw/?igshid=1230uraae9ktc
