- mr colchester: he has a first name but he hates it so even his husband doesn't call him that. he's a kinda grumpy old man and he basically does the same support things ianto used to do (one time colchester was like "i dont know how you managed before i came along" and i was like well there was ianto. beforehe died.) but unlike s1 ianto he still does a lot of the action stuff. shooting aliens. running around the city. classic torchwood

- orr my favourite orr <3 ive already talked about them but their powers are very useful for undercover work. and also i think theyre immortal now?

- ng : some kind of prophet that camz to earyh to hide from her god and chose to hide in gwen's body. she realised she actually really likes life on earth and torchwood. like orr shes also in the process of finding out her own identity outside of what other people want her to be/do since she was the prophet for so long. shes a lot like gwen tho

- tyler : ex-journalist who is actually not very kind. he almost got recruited by torchwood but then he let an alien shoot a room full of people so that he wouldn't be killed and jack was like "ummm wtf" and didn't hire him. he kept hanging around the hub everytime weird shit happened to go tell torchwood all about it and eventually he gets recruited for real

- yvonne : the yvonne who used to be the leader of torchwood one but from the parallel universe thats in season 2 of doctor who you know the one. she crossed over years ago and took over torchwood by pushing jack off a building. very ambitious ad manipulative always making convoluted plans in her head

- norton : hes only in a couple episodes of season 6 but hes in alot of monthlies/other boxsets before that. hes actually an employee of 1950s torchwood who uses soem kind of time travel hologram to be in the present...... hes a little bitch hes so funny.

i can't be the only person who doesn't want a torchwood reboot as much as i want some form of continuation. because "reboot" generally tends to mean "disregard existing canon in favour of new material" and, well, torchwood still does exist in 2024 extended who, and they're still fucking shit up in cardiff and the rest of the world and i've grown kinda attached to this new team, but another torchwood offshoot that are vaguely connected to this one? yes please. a on-screen spinoff that's just a two episode story featuring this current team? i'll do anything. just don't destroy what already exists please

i just. i cant believe that they had andy start fucking literally THE single most boring for him to be having sex with in all of torchwood. like literally EVERY OTHER RECURRING CHARACTER would be more interesting. putting him with jack gives him a silly bisexual awakening. putting him with tosh or ianto or owen or esther would just be cute. with john hart or rex or norton would be really funny. with either colin or colchester would also be really funny but in a colchester price divorce arc way. putting him with ng orr or tyler would create extremely fascinating character arcs for everyone involved. having him and gwen fuck would be more opportunities for her to suck and be the selfish bitch queen of my heart. even him and rhys would be great because because they hate each other so it would be that gwen is absolutely making them do this so she can watch. so having him fuck yvonne in comparison to literally any single other recurring torchwood character is SO UNBELIEVABLY BORING.
