5: how do you choose your characters’ names?

Usually I have lists of names that are appropriate for the theme (magical, historical), and I pick a name I think suits the character I’m going for. If it’s a baby born in-game, I try to think what the parents would name the child based on their personalities.

6: how long have you been working on your story for?

Depends which one!! HP started in August 2017 (and is nearly over, thank goodness…), Disney started in August 2017, Decades started in 2020 (terrifying that it’s already been that long).

10: is your story fully planned or are you still working things out? is there a definitive end?

I follow any challenge rules, and work around them. Some things I have planned, but mostly I just work things out as I go, based on how the sims interact, what wishes they get, etc.

12: do you actually play the game or do you just use it as a storytelling medium?

Definitely play the game. For very important scenes I might pose them, take things a few different ways, but mostly I’m just having fun and writing in response to what happens in game ☺️

17: what about the process do you hate?

Editing photos and queuing! I just don’t have time at the moment, and I always feel bad for disappearing.

i received a niceask recently...i keeping it in my box bcuz i like it. in other news i have 3 episodes of seinfeld and 3 episodes of hidamari sketcu on my phone tht i got for the drive up to my bf house but i only watched (didnt even finish!) 1 episode of seinfeld. i wannaget to writinglyrics and doing thatmusic theory course online and making songs blehhh im too tired/lazy lol.

I think I’m going to go on semi-hiatus for a while my loves,,, I’m just so swamped with everything and my grades are crap so I need to just... take a step back. I’ll still be posting abt my wip but expect super long intervals in between and my not being so active. I think nice!asks are going on a break too.

Getting my life back to normal! I'm looking forward to being able to go back to work and for my brain to heal itself so I can live normally again!

How do you distract yourself from feeling alone?

Oh, I’m no good at this whatsoever. I don’t know what your circumstance is, anon, so I can’t speak for you or say that what I do is going to be good advice at all.

But I’m blessed enough to be able to remind myself that I’m not. I talk with friends on Twitter, I look at how kind people have been to me here on Tumblr and on AO3, I look at old comments or inbox asks that I’ve kept around just because they give me the warm fuzzies. I actually have a folder called “niceasks” that’s .jpg shots of the kind things people have said to me. I want to keep them forever and ever.

I also have the built-in advantage of having a husband, and he’s my everything & my rock and is always there when I need him.

Hi, i really love your work! I'm sorry to hear that you've been having a hard time writing--but that's ok! Sometimes a short break helps (or at least it helps me when i'm too overwhelmed with ideas, and just life). But still, all the best of luck and i'm sure your next updates will be great, whenever they may be ^_^

Oh thank you, so very much! I’m just experiencing a bit of writer’s block, but the best way to get over it is to probably push through it I guess. I’m definitely going to be taking at least a little bit of a break though, to get some of my shit together so I can write these fics to the best of my ability. I’ve got lots of ideas floating around in my head, concerning new fics (KenHina and BokuHina and BoKuroHina) and some I haven’t yet finished (OiHina and QC and KuroHina), so I’m gonna play around with those for a little bit and see where they take me.

Thank you for your patience and for this little boost! I think it might be what I need to push me back into the writing mood! <3
