By some miracle, you didn't end up getting sick, although it took most people in town a full week to recover from the flu. The infirmary was packed every day and Nick regularly expressed his endless gratitude that you chose to work for him. Maria and Tommy isolated as best they could in their home out of fear their daughter would get sick. When the townspeople slowly began to recover, they were itching to do something, so they decided to host a dinner.
One thing you hadn't done in ages was bake. You used to do it often, something you found rather soothing and rewarding long before the world went to shit, so you decided to make something to bring to dinner. After exploring your pantry, you discovered you had the right ingredients to make a simple pie crust, so you got to work mixing and rolling out the dough, getting so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even hear Joel walk through the front door.
When he heard you working away in the kitchen, he walked softly towards the entryway and leaned against the frame to admire you. He crossed his arms and smiled to himself when he saw the bits of flour smeared across your cheeks and your hair a little disheveled, your appearance not a concern to you as you worked.
It was the sweetest thing he had seen in a long time. He almost felt bad when you suddenly sensed his presence and looked up, disrupting your flow.
"Don't mind me," he said with a smirk before strolling over to the table to sit. "Whatcha up to?"
"Making a pie," you told him as you pinched some flour between your fingers and scattered it over the counter. You picked up the sticky ball of dough and sprinkled that with a bit of flour, as well, before grabbing the rolling pin. "Thought it would be nice to bring something with us tonight."
Joel nodded and picked up an apple from the bowl on the table. "That's nice of you," he said before taking a bite, "I'm sure they don't expect us to bring anythin'. They're just bored outta their minds and lookin' for someone to play with their kid for a while."
"Hey! I need those!" you scolded when you heard the crunch. He paused his chewing and looked down at the apple in his hand before stretching his arm out to you with a grin.
"Here you go," he said, mouth full. You laughed and shook your head before focusing on the dough once again.
"Keep it," you said, "I'll still have enough."
He leaned back in his chair and watched you diligently roll the dough out until you achieved the level of thickness you desired and then laid it gently in a buttered pie pan.
"Can you help me peel?" you asked when you came over to grab the bowl from the table, and he couldn't resist reaching out to dust away the flour from your cheek. You looked at him in surprise and he gave you a small smile.
"'Course I'll help," he said, standing up to grab two knives from the drawer. After giving yourself a moment to recover from his unexpected touch, you joined him at the counter, placing the bowl between you both as you began to peel in a comfortable silence. It had been almost two weeks since you saw Ben outside the tailor, and although you always looked for him whenever you walked to and from work, you never crossed paths with him again. You had been hoping to corner him to try to get more information before confronting Joel, but you had no such luck. So, with a deep breath, you cleared your throat and focused on your apple before speaking.
"Joel?"
"Hm?" he replied, his brows pinching together as he carefully worked his knife around the apple in the palm of his hand.
"Can I ask you a question?" you asked as your pulse began to thrum faster in your throat.
"Sure," he said, still laser focused on his task.
"Who are the Fireflies?"
His hand slipped and he dropped the apple and knife, pulling the pad of his thumb into his mouth with a hiss. You gasped when you saw a few drops of dark red blood on the cutting board and put your knife down before grabbing a somewhat clean towel and handing it to him.
"Is it bad?" you asked, taking a step forward to try and see his injury before he wrapped it in the towel. He shook his head.
"Nah, I'll live," he said, studying the cut for a second before applying pressure again.
Still, you rushed to the linen closet to grab the first aid kit and brought it downstairs. "Rinse it under the water," you instructed him before opening the bag and rifling around. He did as he was told and watched you pluck out a bandage and a small bottle of antiseptic. "Show me," you said, and he held his hand out to you so you could examine the cut. He studied you up close while your attention was focused on his thumb, taking in every feature on your perfect face and inhaling your familiar, comforting scent while you bandaged him up. If this was what it took to get you close to him, then he was ready to injure himself every damn day.
"You're good at that," he murmured, flexing his thumb when you were all done. "Learnin' a lot from Nick?"
You packed up the first aid kit, avoiding his heated gaze. "Yeah, I guess so," you said, turning back to your apples. Ever since Joel caught the flu and you helped nurse him back to health, it felt like there was a shift in the air between you. He was more brazen with his touch, like when he wiped the flour from your cheek, and while you never asked him not to touch you, your feelings for him were complicated. Until you could figure it out, you had been trying your best to not allow yourself to get caught in his orbit.
It was proving to be more difficult than you expected.
"Why don't you go sit down, I can finish these up," you said, your eyes cast down on the apples. You felt him regard you silently for a moment before he pushed off the counter and went back to his spot at the kitchen table. It was obvious what he was doing. It was the exact opposite of what you were doing. He was trying to create a charged moment, and you were trying to avoid them.
"You didn't answer my question," you said, and his energy immediately shifted.
"Where'd you hear 'bout the Fireflies? From Ellie?" he asked, trying to keep his voice steady. You looked up at him, confused.
"Ellie? No," you replied, shaking your head. "I ran into Ben a few days after our visit. He thought you had already told me about them and seemed a little skittish when I didn't know who they were."
You watched him closely, refusing to look away as he tried to mask his anger, but you could still see it. His jaw tensed and his uninjured hand clenched into a fist in his lap while you waited for an answer.
"So?" you prodded, cocking your head to the side. His nostrils flared for a second before he took a deep breath and turned his head away.
"The Fireflies were the group the three of you had joined before comin' to Jackson," he began. You tried to focus on peeling your apples but you were working incredibly slow, not wanting to miss a single word. "You were with 'em for a couple years. They had a decent setup, kept you all safe. Better than the QZ."
"Okay," you said slowly, picking up another apple. "So it was a community like this one?"
He huffed and shook his head, "Not exactly. More like an army. They're a revolutionary group. They rose up against the military and took over QZs with the promise of givin' control back to the people, but..." he trailed off and scratched his beard. "Wasn't all that simple. They killed alotta people in the process, and in the end, civilians still suffered. Didn't end up matterin' who was in control when both sides were just as violent."
"Oh," you said softly, setting your knife down, "so I joined because of what happened to my family? Because the military killed them? And then I ended up killing innocent people, anyway?"
Joel shrugged and stood up. "Like I said, we all made decisions the best we could with what we knew at the time. You didn't know any better. Nobody did."
"Did you join them, too?" you asked.
"No," he said, pressing both palms flat against the counter as he looked at you.
"So why did Ben seem to think telling me about the Fireflies would cause a problem with us?"
His mouth pressed into a thin line and you saw the suppressed rage flicker across his eyes again. "Fireflies ain't exactly well received by most people," he said, "lotta people here had family that was hurt or killed. Innocent bystanders caught in the middle of a war they didn't start."
You swallowed nervously, apples long forgotten as you braced yourself for your next question. "Did the Fireflies hurt someone you loved?"
Joel's gaze dropped to his hands and he clenched his jaw. He wanted to tell you. He should have just fucking spit it out and told you everything, but at the last second, he chickened out.
"No."
And you may not have known him as well as you did before the accident, but you knew him well enough now to be able to tell when he was lying. You tried to hide your disappointment by picking your knife back up and getting to work.
"Are there others?" you asked him, and he lifted his head up, "other former Fireflies who live here?"
"Aside from you three? Just Tommy."
Your jaw dropped in surprise and your eyes snapped up to him once again. "Tommy?"
"Mhmm, just for a little while. You didn't know each other before Jackson," he said, anticipating your next question. "Fireflies are a big group. Spread out all over the country."
"Oh," you said softly, looking back down at your half peeled apples which were slowly becoming brown on the edges. You began peeling again, faster now, as you thought about everything he just said while he watched you carefully from the other side of the counter. You weren't sure what else to say. It felt like he was telling you the truth, but you still had a hunch he was leaving something out.

"Y'know, it's a miracle I didn't eat half that damn pie before we got here," Joel said teasingly as you walked up the porch steps to Tommy and Maria's house. "Whole house smells like Christmas now. Drove me crazy all afternoon."
You smiled and smoothed down the blue blouse you found tucked away in your closet. It wasn't a top you could envision yourself working in, it looked a bit too nice for that, so you thought dinner would be a perfect time to wear it, combined with a dark pair of jeans that were relatively clean and only slightly frayed on the bottom. At the time, you thought it was cute when Joel came downstairs with his hair slicked back and his flannel tucked into his jeans for once, but when you walked into Tommy and Maria's and found the house to be filled with four married couples from around town, you suddenly felt uncomfortable.
"I didn't realize anyone else would be here," you murmured quietly next to Joel as you slid off your coats.
"He mentioned they may invite a few others but I didn't think this many," he told you, taking your coat and hanging it up before looking around. They had two tables covered in linen pushed together in their dining room which was alight with candles and sprigs of pine and holly spread around the middle, giving the room with a warm and romantic atmosphere. You swallowed nervously and all of the sudden, the evening felt too much like a date.
"Hey, you two!" Tommy's voice rang out from the kitchen, startling you out of your reverie. "Glad you could make it," he said, tugging Joel into a hug before giving you a chaste peck on the cheek.
"Um, here," you said, holding out the pie, "didn't want to come empty handed," you explained with a little smile. Tommy's eyes lit up when he took the pan from you and gave the pie a quick sniff.
"Damn, smells good, Sugar," he told you, his cheeks already rosy from the liquor he had been working on before you arrived. He shot Joel a playful look as he headed into the kitchen, handing Maria the dessert. "Your girl can bake, Joel. Lucky man."
The tips of your ears went hot and you looked away uncomfortably before Joel could catch your eye.
"I'll get us a couple drinks," Joel said, ignoring Tommy's comment, much to your relief. "What'dya want?"
You glanced around the room and what the other women were drinking before shrugging and suggesting wine. He followed Tommy over to the living room where they kept their liquor locked up and away from their toddler, who was gleefully playing with another woman you didn't recognize. Popping your head into the kitchen, you spotted Maria all by herself working on dinner.
"Maria," you said with a smile, and she turned around with a sigh of relief.
"Hey, I'm dying here, can you help me?"
"Of course," you said, rolling up your sleeves. "What do you need?"
She put you to work right away, chopping up vegetables and dumping them into boiling water before helping her thicken a sauce she was making for some pasta. You were just about to taste test the product when Joel and Tommy joined you in the kitchen with the drink that he promised.
"Smells so fuckin' good in here," Tommy said loudly before taking a generous sip of whiskey and giving Maria a quick peck on the lips. Joel put your wine glass near you on the counter and you shot him a thankful smile before bringing a spoon up to your lips to taste the sauce. You winced and scrunched up your nose and Joel chuckled.
"It's missing something," you explained, putting the spoon back down as you examined the spices available to you while Maria was instructing Tommy on doling out the appetizers.
"Lemme try," he said, rounding the corner to stand next to you. You handed him the spoon and he held up his whiskey. "Hands are full," he told you teasingly, and you rolled your eyes with a grin before dipping the spoon back into the sauce and lifting it to his mouth. He leaned in and wrapped his lips around the spoon, closing his eyes and making a soft noise at the taste. Your knees suddenly felt weak and your face felt hot as you struggled to compose yourself before he caught you.
He opened his eyes slowly and ran his tongue over his upper lip to capture the remnants of the sauce and you had to resist the urge to swipe your thumb over his mustache to gather the rest. It made your breath hitch in your throat and you forced yourself to look away, mentally cursing your body's reaction to him.
"Lemon," he said huskily, then took a sip from his glass while still staring down at you. Your eyes drifted up to his and you saw that look again. The one that made you feel too many things at once: nervousness, excitement, pressure, confusion. So you took a deep breath and squeezed past him, having no choice but to brush up against his chest.
"You're right. It needs lemon," you said, finding one in the mess on Maria's counter and slicing it in half before squeezing it generously over the sauce. Joel leaned against the counter, one arm caging you in from behind as you worked. You tried to ignore how close he was but you could feel his breath on your skin and it was causing your pulse to race. Fortunately, Maria came to your rescue.
"How's it going?" she asked, and Joel pushed off the counter, stepping back to give you both some room.
"Good, I think the sauce is done," you told her, and after she gave it a little taste, her eyes lit up.
"So good!" she said, clearly pleased. You felt your cheeks heat up before gesturing towards Joel.
"Thank Joel. He thought of the lemon."
Maria shot Joel a smile and thanked him as he tipped his glass in her direction before taking another sip. "Happy to help, ladies," he said.
"Go enjoy the party, I got it from here," Maria told you, shooing you away.
"Are you sure? I really don't mind-"
"Yes, I'm sure! I'm just going to plate everything and we're good to go. Help yourself to some appetizers before they're all gone," she said, turning her back on you as she started pulling down serving platters.
You picked up your wine and took a sip, hoping to quell some of your nerves as you let Joel lead you into the living room where the party was in full swing. Tommy had his daughter balancing on his shoulders as he talked to a couple men, their wives at the other end of the room in the middle of a lively conversation. You chewed your lip, glancing back and forth before you took another sip and looked up at Joel.
"Guess I'll go see what's got them all worked up," you told him, nodding your head in the direction of the other women.
"You sure?" he asked with a frown. "Don't want you feelin' uncomfortable. We can stick together if y'want."
You shook your head and stepped away. "I'm fine," you told him before forcing yourself to join the other women. As you approached, you gave the women a friendly wave to catch their attention and they beckoned you towards them with open arms. They all seemed to be around your age range, give or take, and very friendly as they took the time to re-introduce themselves to you. You politely listened to them talk about their kids or jobs while you sipped your wine and nodded along. When three of the women became engrossed in a story about their children and school, you felt yourself begin to zone out. The girl standing next to you, Hannah, caught your eye and smiled.
"Do you have any kids?" you asked her, and she shook her head.
"Not yet. I don't think we're ready, you know?" she said, glancing over your shoulder at her husband. "But one day I think we will. How about you and Joel? What are your plans?" she asked, then her eyes went wide with embarrassment. "I'm so sorry. That was a dumb question, you probably don't... ah, I'm such an idiot," she said, and you laughed.
"No, you're not, it's fine," you assured her as her cheeks began to flush.
"I guess I just keep forgetting about your accident. That was so rude of me," she said, "I see you guys together all the time and it seems so normal."
You glanced over your shoulder at Joel, watching for a moment as he laughed heartily at something one of the other men said. "Yeah," you told her, turning back around, "I can see why you'd think that."
Her gaze drifted between you and Joel for a moment before she lowered her voice and took a step further away from the other women. "So you still don't remember anything, huh?"
You shook your head sadly. "Nothing. At this point, I'm not expecting anything to come back. I'm just trying to start over."
She nodded solemnly and took a sip from her wine. "How's it going with you two?" she asked, tilting her chin in Joel's direction. You sighed and rubbed your eyes. Same old questions, different person.
"Okay, I guess. He's been incredibly patient," you said, "but I think he is still holding out hope that my memory might come back and we'll just pick up right where we left off."
Hannah gave you a sympathetic look right as Maria approached with a big smile stretched across her face. "Dinner is served!" she announced to the room before bending down and stretching her arms out for her daughter.
Everyone began to scatter as couples rejoined and headed towards the dimly lit dining room. Joel appeared by your side, his hand hovering over your lower back as you waited for the other couples to take their seats.
"Havin' a good time?" he murmured, and you gave him a tight smile before nodding. Joel pulled out one of the two remaining chairs for you and you whispered your thanks when you sat down, then he pushed it back in before taking his own seat. He relaxed and stretched his arm across the back of your chair while he listened with amusement to Tommy drunkenly telling a story that had carried over from the living room.
"The table is beautiful, Maria," you told her, leaning away from Joel a bit. "It's so cozy and warm, you really outdid yourself."
She smiled as she bounced her little girl on her knee. "Thanks. We were just itching to do something, you know? We got a little cabin fever, I think."
You felt Joel's thumb brush lightly against your spine, making you shiver. But when you glanced over at him, he was still caught up in listening to Tommy and you wondered if those little gestures were intentional or if it was muscle memory.
Once everyone began to eat, Joel dropped his arm from your chair and you found yourself missing the warmth that radiated from him, confusing yourself even more. Sometimes you just wanted to hit your head against the wall and rattle your memories loose so you could stop feeling so conflicted. If you were this confused, you couldn't imagine what Joel was feeling. Although, at that moment, he seemed to be perfectly content as he stood up with Tommy to get another drink.
"Y'want any more?" Joel asked, nodding to your glass but you shook your head.
"Maybe later," you said, and when he caught your eye he gave you a quick wink before following Tommy back into the living room.
"So, how's it going at the infirmary? Still like it?" Maria asked, drawing your attention back to her.
"Yeah, I do, actually. That was a good idea, I've been meaning to thank you," you said, wiping the corners of your mouth with a napkin. "It feels good to stay busy and I'm learning a lot."
"Well, Nick always speaks so highly of you. Especially after that nasty flu worked its way through town. He said you were a godsend," Maria told you while simultaneously handing her daughter a steamed carrot.
"She was. Worked her tail off all week then had to deal with me when she got home," Joel said as he sat back down with a soft grunt. You smiled at him, grateful for the compliment.
"If he's anything like his brother when he's sick then I'm sure you've earned sainthood status," Maria said to you, making everyone laugh.
"Hey, what're you sayin' 'bout me down there?" Tommy slurred with a grin from the other end of the table. You were fairly certain Maria answered him with some sharp remark which made the table laugh again, but you couldn't exactly remember because Joel dropped his hand to rest on your knee and you suddenly couldn't think straight. Your skin felt hot under his touch, even through your jeans, and you could have sworn the whole room could hear how loudly your heart was pounding in your chest, so you anxiously grabbed your wine glass and finished the rest in one gulp, hoping it would steady your nerves.
You could have asked him to move his hand. You could have made an excuse, gotten up and used the bathroom, but you didn't. You remained perfectly still, allowing his hand to rest on your leg as you tried to focus on the conversation at the table. Because although your mind was saying one thing, your body was always reacting differently.
If you had known what would have ended up happening that night, you would have done something in that moment. Maybe if you had, it would have changed everything.
Instead, you sat there and didn't say a word. You just politely listened to everyone talk with Joel's hand still on your leg while your body and mind waged a war nobody could see.
When Maria stood to hand off her daughter to Tommy and clear the table, you joined her, finally ending Joel's grip on you. The other women stood while the men attempted to help but got shooed into the living room. When all the ladies were alone in the kitchen, Maria pulled out a jar of apple flavored moonshine that she told you all quietly she was hiding from Tommy because it was her favorite before passing it around for everyone to have a taste.
It was strong. Each of you had to stifle your coughs into your hands, which erupted into giggles and eventually caught the attention of the men, so you all did your best to distract them after they curiously poked their heads into the kitchen so Maria could hide the jar once again.
In retrospect, the alcohol didn't do you any favors. Your head was swimming a little by the time dessert was served and you found yourself inadvertently leaning into Joel's shoulder as everyone complimented your pie and he watched you adoringly while you waved off the praise.
The food was amazing, but combined with the drinks, you found your eyelids growing heavy as the party moved back into the living room and Maria took her daughter to bed.
"I think I'm going to get some air," you told Joel while everyone else got comfortable.
"You alright?" he asked, examining your face closely. You nodded.
"Just getting tired," you explained as you took a step towards the door, but he immediately put his glass down.
"Why didn't you say so? We can go home."
"No, it's okay-"
"You've been workin' so hard lately. You need your rest. Go get your things and I'll tell Tommy we're headin' out," he said, refusing to hear another word. And as much as you didn't want to tear him away from the party, you had to agree with him. The past couple weeks were physically draining and it definitely seemed like the exhaustion was catching up with you.
Once Joel announced your departure and everybody bid you good night, you each grabbed your coats and slid on your boots before heading outside. The brisk night air was a shock to the system and it helped wake you up a bit on the walk home. Joel wrapped his arm around your waist as you walked, holding you close to him, enveloping you with his warmth and when you inevitably reflected on that night, you would remember that moment as one on a long list of ways you were sending him mixed signals because you didn't pull away. Because as confused as you were about your feelings for him, you couldn't deny the attraction you harbored. And maybe it was partially your fault for not being stronger because you knew, you fucking knew Joel's feelings for you were far deeper than yours that night, and yet you still didn't step away.
When you arrived home and Joel fumbled clumsily with the door, you giggled, making him grin and his eyes light up at the sound before finally shoving the door open and flicking on a light. You shrugged off your coat and kicked off your boots with a sigh, the faint smell of apple pie still lingering in the air. You were happy to be in the comfort of your own home and eager to throw on your pajamas, but Joel led you into the kitchen first and poured you some water. You couldn't help but smile at how reminiscent it was from when he was sick and you did the same thing for him, so you took it and made sure to drink the whole thing while he watched with a pleased expression on his face.
"Did I tell you how beautiful you looked tonight?"
The glass was still pressed against your mouth, the last drops of water just swallowed, and you froze. Slowly, you lowered the glass to the counter and shook your head, unable to look away from his heated stare.
"Well, you did. Lit up the whole place. Prettier than all the other women," he said, fighting to remain still and not pull you into his arms. But he was losing that battle.
"Thank you," you said softly, forcing yourself to look away. It didn't deter him.
"I mean it. Couldn't stop thinkin' 'bout you. Talkin' 'bout you," he said, watching your face heat up as he blinked slowly. "Lookin' at you," he added after a quiet moment, and you laughed softly while you crossed your arms protectively over your chest.
"Joel..." you began, not even sure what you planned to say so you opted for staring blankly out the window just so you wouldn't have to look him in the eye.
"What, baby?" he murmured, taking a bold step forward and pinching your chin with his fingers. You dragged your gaze back up to him just to find his dark brown eyes all wide and filled with hope and tenderness as he stared down at you, his gaze flicking from your eyes to your lips, clearly displaying his intention but you still didn't step away. Your body wouldn't let you move.
"We're both drunk," you told him, trying to remain rational. Trying to stay clear-headed.
"Not that drunk," he quickly countered, his eyes still roaming your face, his fingers still pressing into your chin and you could feel your heart flutter wildly. Why on earth couldn't your mind catch up with your body?
You sighed, partially from the exhaustion, partially from the inability to properly express yourself but he took it to mean something else. He heard your sigh and thought you were finally giving in. That you were finally going to let him kiss you. Because why else wouldn't you have pulled away?
He leaned forward, his eyes slid shut, and although you should have known it was coming, it still surprised you. Your eyes stayed open wide as he inched towards you and finally at the very last second, you tilted your face to the side, causing him to press his lips against your cheek instead.
You felt his reaction before you could see it. His lips immediately tensed against your skin and his breathing stalled. Then his hand dropped from your chin and he leaned back, eyes no longer warm and inviting.
You tightly pressed your lips together in shame. "Joel, I'm sorry-"
"Don't be," he said quickly, cutting you off and backing away.
The hurt was evident across his face, although he tried to hide it by averting his gaze.
"I just don't think I'm there yet," you said after a long, tense moment. "I'm trying-"
"Yeah, I know," he replied harshly, turning on his heel and marching out of the kitchen. "I know you're tryin' to force yourself to love me. It's gotta be real hard, I get it," he spat, his voice so cold it made you shudder as he shoved his boots back on.
You choked back a sob as you watched him grab his coat.
"Where are you going?"
"Don't know," was all he said before flinging the door open and storming out, leaving you all alone in the entryway with tears slowly streaking down your cheeks.
Tumblr media
What an absolute fucking idiot he was.
What was he thinking? That you would magically find him attractive again? Love him again? That he was worthy of your time and care and attention? After everything he did?
You didn't know, of course, but what else could it be, other than fate? Or karma? Or whatever it was, coming back and erasing all your memories of him to set things right? Because did he ever really deserve you in the first place?
No, definitely not. Not after everything he did.
His legs carried him blindly to the Tipsy Bison. It was a quiet night, and maybe had he been in the right frame of mind, he would have been surprised. Most of the town was cooped up the past couple weeks, under normal circumstances he would have thought it would be busier, but at that moment in time, he didn't care. He only cared about one thing: he needed to forget.
He motioned for Seth and he nodded in acknowledgment before pouring him his usual whiskey and setting it down. Joel snatched it up and immediately downed it with a wince before pushing the empty glass towards Seth.
"Another, please," he muttered before burying his face in his hands with a groan. Seth eyed him suspiciously before pouring his second drink and setting it back down on the bar.
Joel let the glass sit there a few minutes while he stewed in his anger. He wanted to blame you, but he couldn't. Not really. He knew it wasn't your fault but, fuck, he just wanted you back. He was so goddamn lonely that it made his chest hurt. He rubbed it absentmindedly before picking up his glass and forcing himself to take a slow sip. He had already drank too much at Tommy's and if he didn't want to wake up with a massive hangover, he had to slow down.
"Hey, cowboy," a familiar, flirty voice suddenly said from beside him. He tilted his head to the side and had to fight the urge to roll his eyes.
"Angie."
She smirked and pulled up a tall barstool, scooting her way up with a little grunt that made his stomach clench as he watched her maneuver in her tight jeans.
"What's got you so blue?" she purred as she took a sip from her drink and crossed her legs, her foot coming dangerously close to touching his calf.
"Who said I was blue?" he asked gruffly before taking another swig of whiskey.
She laughed softly and tossed her hair over her shoulder. "Kind of hard to miss," she said, resting her chin in her palm as she looked at him expectantly.
His eyebrows furrowed at her but she noticed the way the corner of his mouth twitched and she bit her lip playfully.
"C'mon, what's the matter? You can tell me, baby," she cooed, and he squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head.
"Don't call me that."
Angie pouted and leaned closer, her breath tickling his ear when she whispered, "Oh, that's right. How could I forget? You prefer daddy."
"Knock it off," he growled, turning away from her and ignoring the stirring below his waist, but it wouldn't be that easy. It never was.
She rested her delicate hand on his forearm and his muscles twitched, but he didn't move. As much as he hated to admit it, he missed being touched. And in that moment, any touch would do. She smiled and slid her hand up his arm slowly, and he let her, his eyes fixed somewhere in the opposite direction as he tried with all his might to ignore it, to fight it, to stand up and fucking leave, but he couldn't do it.
"So tense," she murmured in his ear, and his eyes fluttered shut. "I can help with that, y'know." Her hand dropped from his shoulder to his lap and had Joel's eyes been open, he would have seen Seth's eyes widen in surprise before looking away. "We're real good at it, remember?" she continued, her fingers inching towards the seam of his jeans. But before she could reach between his legs, his hand grabbed her wrist.
"Stop it," he said weakly, forcing his eyes open to glare at her, but she just smiled sweetly at him and pulled her hand back.
"I need to use the restroom," she said, her voice sultry. "You remember where the ladies' room is, right?" she asked with a wink before sliding off the stool and swinging her hips as she strolled down the hall towards the bathroom. He groaned and rubbed his face roughly.
He wasn't sure how it happened. He wanted to blame the whiskey, he wanted to blame you, but at the end of the day it was all on him when he found himself shoving open the door to the women's room and crowding Angie against the sink, his mouth crashing down on hers hungrily.
It was only one tiny minute of weakness. When he realized his mistake, when he remembered her lips weren't anything compared to yours, when her noises were not the noises he wanted to hear, her touch not the touch he craved, he immediately stopped kissing her, pulling back and cursing under his breath.
Angie looked at him, her eyes dark and her cheeks flushed, then took a step forward but he held up his hand.
"No," he said a bit too loudly, the whiskey making his head swim as he stumbled backwards towards the door. She rolled her eyes and grinned.
"C'mon, Joel. When are you going to realize she's not coming back? You need to move on," Angie said sweetly. Too sweetly. "You deserve to be happy," she added, and he frowned when the enormity of what he had done dawned on him through his drunken haze.
"Stay away from me," he warned her, reaching for the door and yanking it open.
"Fine. But just remember: you followed me in here!" she shouted after him as he disappeared down the hall. He snatched his coat from his barstool and jogged towards the exit.
He had to get home.

The carpet should have been worn to the floorboards by the time Joel finally came back. You had been pacing around the living room, chewing on your fingernails nervously as you replayed the entire evening in your head. The guilt was fucking suffocating you. You couldn't help but feel like you were partially to blame, but you would have broken his heart if you let him kiss you without fully understanding how you felt first, and he didn't deserve that. Maybe once he cooled down, he would understand.
When you heard his slow, heavy footsteps walking up the porch stairs, your heart leapt into your throat. The door creaked open slowly, as if he expected you to be asleep and he was trying to be quiet, but when he closed the door and saw you standing in the middle of the living room, your arms wrapped around yourself, his face contorted into a grimace.
"You're still up," he said, voice a little raspy as he hung up his coat.
"Joel, I'm so sorry," you began, "I'm just so confused. I'm still trying to work out my feelings but I don't want to rush into something and risk hurting you."
He swallowed and hung his head in shame, unable to look at you.
"Please don't apologize," he whispered, but you kept going.
"Of course I'm going to apologize. I sent you mixed signals and I ended up hurting you anyway."
"I did somethin'," he blurted out, and you froze mid-sentence, waiting for him to elaborate. Silence filled the room, your eyes drifted around aimlessly before you sunk down onto the edge of the couch and tucked your hands under your thighs.
"What did you do?" you asked, your voice wavering when you realized he still hadn't looked you in the eye.
He took a steadying breath and propped his hands on his hips, his face still angled shamefully towards the floor. "I kissed someone else."
His words hung heavy in the air, your deep, ragged breaths the only sound filling the room as your tired mind tried to make sense of what he just said.
"What?" you finally asked, voice deathly quiet. He forced himself to look at you now, his dark eyes brimming with tears.
"It was a mistake-" he began, voice thick with emotion, tongue heavy and clumsy between his teeth, but you stopped him.
"Just now?" you asked incredulously, your stomach turning sour. Fighting the nausea back down with a harsh swallow, you spoke again. "You tried to kiss me, I shot you down and you just... went out and found someone else?"
"That's not what I left to do, it just happened-"
"Who?" you asked, your gaze stony as you continued to stare at him, anguish and regret flickering across his face.
"Does it matter?" he tried weakly, softly, but it just pissed you off even more.
"Yes," you hissed, slowly standing back up on now shaky legs. "Who, Joel?"
His throat bobbed and he shifted his weight and when he mumbled Angie's name, you saw red.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" you whispered, quickly closing the gap between you and shoving him hard against the chest, causing him to stumble back in shock. When he looked you in the eyes, all glassy and cold and distraught, his blood felt like ice in his veins.
He was losing you.
"Please, lemme just explain-"
"What could you possibly have to say?!" you exclaimed, your body growing hot with rage. Hands shaking so badly you had to cross your arms to hide the tremor. "I was taking too long to fuck you so you went out and found a sure thing?"
"I didn't fuck her, but I could've!" he yelled back, an angry vein popping out of his neck at his sudden outburst. Your eyes went wide and you took a step back in surprise. He didn't know why he was yelling. He knew it wouldn't help, but he just snapped. "I never once pressured you to sleep with me! I gave you your space an-and respected your boundaries," he was flailing now, his thoughts scattered as he desperately tried to make sense. "But I'm a human fuckin' being and I got drunk and I was lonely and I made a fuckin' mistake! And I'm sorry, alright?!"
You scoffed and rolled your eyes. "You're lonely," you repeated, the words like poison on your tongue, and he frowned. "What about me? I'm lonely, too! You know what the first question is out of everyone's mouth ever since my accident?" you asked, glaring up at him, anger rolling off both your bodies. "They ask me how you're doing. You! Like this was some tragedy that only happened to you! But I lost fucking everything in the blink of an eye!" Tears began to burn the backs of your eyes now but you pushed on. "My world literally turned upside down in an instant and everyone just kept waiting for me to get with the program, including you!"
"That's not true," he said, shaking his head angrily, "I never pressured you to do anythin'!"
"It's the way you look at me!" you cried, wiping the tears from your cheeks. "You don't even realize you're doing it but you keep looking at me, expecting to find the woman you fell in love with but she's gone, Joel!"
You both fell silent, staring at one another, shoulders heaving as you each sat with the weight of your words.
"I don't care," he finally said, lowering his voice. "I still love you. I told you that first day. What we got is rare and special and I'm not givin' up on us."
"Then how could you go kiss someone else the first time there's a bump in the road?" you asked, tone hurt and dejected, then you turned and headed up the stairs.
"I told you, it was a mistake," he pleaded, following you. "I'm so sorry... wait, what're you doin'?" he asked when he realized he had followed you into your room. You were snatching clothes from the drawers and tossing them onto your bed, and that's when he really began to panic.
"I can't stay here," you said, disappearing into the bathroom. His vision narrowed and his legs became weak as fear flooded his veins.
"No," he whispered, but you didn't hear him. You were busy gathering a few toiletries from the bathroom and tossing them on the bed along with your clothes, but when you walked past him to get a bag, he grabbed your arm.
"Don't do this," he begged. You yanked your arm out of his grip and stepped back, glaring at him and he realized in that moment he would rather have you there screaming at him for the rest of the night than not have you there at all, so he kept talking. He kept pushing.
"Y'know, for someone who says she doesn't have feelin's for me, you sure seem to be pretty pissed off," he glowered, and your eyes widened. That's it, he thought, let me have it. "If you don't want me, if you don't give a shit 'bout me, then what the hell does it matter if someone else does?"
You gasped, his words like a punch to the gut. Like a blade to your heart. Without thinking, your arm swung back and your palm cracked loudly against his cheek, stunning you both into silence.
He wanted to rub the spot, to help soothe the pain with the tips of his fingers, but he resisted. Instead, he let his cheek redden so you were forced to see what you did.
"You think I don't give a shit about you?" you seethed once you found your voice, palm stinging at your side, eyes flickering between his eyes and his cheek.
"Sure seems that way," he countered, and your jaw clenched angrily as the next round of tears began to well up.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" you yelled, your hands balling into fists at your sides. "How dare you. You made me give a shit about you, you asshole!"
You shoved past him and headed down the hall to the spare room in search of a duffel bag, but Joel was hot on your trail. If he let you leave, he would never get you back.
"The hell does that even mean?"
You whipped around, making him stumble backwards, your eyes wild and bloodshot. "You told me you would make me fall in love with you again! This whole time we've been getting to know each other, building up our relationship and you think after all that, after everything we've shared, that I don't give a shit about you?"
"Well-" he began, but you cut him off.
"I took care of you when you were sick. I sat next to your bed for a full week, waiting for you to fall asleep, making sure you had everything you needed," you said, your voice growing quiet as hot tears spilled down your cheeks. "You told me about your daughter. I told you about my brother," you whimpered, your voice cracking on the last word. Joel's face fell when he finally realized how broken you were, the full weight of his actions realized. "How could you say that to me?" you sobbed, burying your face in your hands, your cheeks hot and wet in your palms. Your head ached. Your heart ached. You needed this to end.
"Oh, god, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it," he told you, stepping forward and pulling you into his arms. You only let yourself melt against his broad chest for a moment before you sniffled and pushed him away. Turning around, you snatched the bag from the ground and stormed past him.
"Tell me how to fix it," he pleaded as he followed you back into your room.
"You can't."
His head was pounding, throat scratchy and dry as he watched you pack from the doorway, his chest tightening with each article of clothing that passed through your hands.
"Please. Stay. I-I-I won't even talk to you if that's what you want, just please stay."
You paused, your eyes squeezing shut as you silently cried over your bag. "You want me to stay, Joel?" you asked, voice trembling, and even though weren't looking, he nodded.
"I'll do anythin'," he said earnestly, and you opened your eyes. Reaching for your journal, you flipped it open to a well worn page and tossed it on the bed. He frowned at it, confused, but stepped forward and picked it up.
"Then tell me what you lied about."
His eyes scanned the page, reading the four words over and over. Joel lied to me. No context, but he didn't need any. He knew.
You could see the conflict in his face as he tried to figure out a way around it.
"The truth. Or I'm gone," you said firmly, and when his eyes flicked up to yours, you saw fear.
He slowly turned around, the journal held delicately in his massive hands, as he sat down onto the edge of your mattress.
"Okay."
The shock made your tears slow to a stop.
"Okay?"
"Yeah, okay," he repeated, his tone somber as he stared down at your journal in his lap. "What's the difference now, anyway? You already hate me."
I don't hate you, you thought, but you remained silent.
"If I tell you, you promise not to leave?" he clarified, and you thought about it for a moment. What if it was something really bad? But you knew you wouldn't get the truth out of him any other way, so you nodded. You figured if you still left and ended up becoming a liar, then at least you would be even.
"I told you 'bout the Fireflies," he began, and you got the feeling the story was going to be long so you sat down on the bed.
"Yes."
"You, Ben 'n Lisa were all part of a group out in Salt Lake City," he said, his gaze pinned on the journal. "In a hospital. Doin' research."
"Research? I don't know anything about-"
"You weren't doin' the research. The three of you were just guards. Patrolmen. There were doctors there, and they were lookin' for a cure," he continued, then took a deep breath before lifting his chin and staring at a fixed point on your wall.
"Did they find one?" you asked, remembering that first day when Joel told you about the outbreak. You had asked him at the time if there was cure and he said no. That couldn't be the lie, could it?
"Well, they were close," he said, his brow pinching together. "This next part is somethin' that's gotta stay in this house, y'hear me?" he asked, finally turning to look at you. "Y'gotta promise me that no matter what you end up thinkin' of me, you can't tell anyone 'bout this part."
You didn't want to make that promise. Why would you, after everything he had put you through? But, still, you found yourself nodding slowly, then his next sentence knocked all the air from your lungs.
"Ellie's immune."
Your lips slowly parted as the shock coursed through you, your eyes slowly drifting down to the comforter. Your mind was blank except for Ellie's immune, Ellie's immune playing on a constant loop.
"It's why you didn't write anythin' else, I reckon," he explained, holding up your journal. "Didn't want anyone to find it."
You slowly began to put the pieces together. A research hospital. Ellie's immunity. They were close to a cure.
"The Fireflies thought they could use Ellie to create a vaccine," he said after a long pause. "And I took her to 'em. Took her right into the lion's den," he said with a dry chuckle. "Didn't realize til after they took her that they would've had to... kill her to get what they needed."
Your eyes darted up to meet his again as you listened, entranced.
"Nobody knows, okay?" he said, his voice wavering a bit. "Only Tommy. No one else can know. Her life depends on it, d'you understand?"
You nodded, still unable to find your voice, so he continued.
"When I realized what they were doin', that they would have to kill her, I just..." he trailed off and scratched his chin, looking away, eyes distant. "I lost it. It's the only way to describe it."
"W-what do you mean?" you asked, your voice barely a whisper.
"I killed alotta people," he said, voice cold and detatched, "alotta fuckin' people. Whoever got in my way, I just... didn't think twice. 'Til you."
You inhaled sharply, almost forgetting you were somewhere in that hospital.
"Me?" you squeaked.
"You didn't see my face," he said, his voice beginning to shake. "None of you did. The three of you were together. You surrendered. Had you face down on the ground with your hands behind your head. Told me you were plannin' on ditchin' the Fireflies anyway. That you wouldn't come after me." His hand trembled in his lap and he made a fist.
"You weren't the first ones to say that to me, but you were the first ones I let live."
You pressed your palms into your face, trying to quell the ache behind your eyes as you rocked gently back and forth on the bed, heart thundering in your chest, blooding pumping too fast. The exhaustion was too much. You could hardly make sense of what he was saying.
"You almost killed me," you said, more of a statement than a question, your voice muffled through your hands.
"Yeah." He watched you carefully, trying to read you, desperately searching for some small glimmer of hope underneath all your rage and confusion.
"Then what?" you forced yourself to ask, pinching the bridge of your nose.
He ticked his jaw to the side and looked away.
"Then... Ellie 'n me came here. Started over. Tried to forget," he sniffed, pulling at a loose string on his shirt. "Then the three of you showed up couple months later. Scared the fuckin' shit outta me, but none of you seemed to recognize me."
"Because we never saw you," you said, and he nodded.
"I didn't speak to you for over a month. I was so scared you'd recognize my voice or somethin', but I just couldn't stay away from you," he said, his eyes softening now. "Then that night at the bar happened. When you came up to me and-"
"Yeah, I remember what you told me," you replied, not eager to relive that story at the moment.
"Then the rest is history. We started messin' around. You didn't know who I was for a few months, then I finally told you."
"After you were already fucking me," you said coldly, and he winced.
"After I fell in love with you."
You sat back and rubbed your eyes. You had so many questions. What was your reaction when you first learned who he was? If you stuck around, you must have seen something in Joel that made you feel safe. Why did he spare you? Was it only because you couldn't identify him? And how much did Ellie know?
"Please say somethin'," he begged after a few tense, quiet minutes.
"What do you want me to say?" you asked him, your shoulders sagging forward, limbs too heavy. "You want me to forgive you? You want me to say I understand?" He shook his head but you kept talking.
"You spared my life just to break my heart."
He turned away from you as his face crumpled. "I'm gonna fix it," he said, his throat tight and voice thick as he fought off the tears that were threatening to spill down his face. "I'm gonna make it right, if you just-"
"Can you go, please?" you asked quietly, "I have nothing else to say and I'm fucking tired."
He looked over at you but you refused to look up, your puffy eyes fixed blankly on the floor. His gaze drifted to the bag and clothes littering your bed and he asked, "Are you stayin'?"
You didn't answer. You just slowly stood up and flung your comforter back, some of your clothes falling into a heap on the floor but you didn't care as you crawled into bed and turned your back to him.
Begrudgingly, he stood. His eyes flicked around your room nervously, his fingers fidgeting at his sides while he chewed on the inside of his cheek, struggling to come up with the right words to say.
"Go!" you sobbed from underneath your blankets, hiding from him the tears that were soaking your sheets.
So, he left. Not because he wanted to, but because he caused you enough agony for one night, and as much as he wanted to stay and beg on his knees for forgiveness, it would be the selfish thing to do. Instead, he went to his bed and stared at the ceiling, barely sleeping the entire night because his body jerked awake at every little creak the old house made, wondering when he woke up, if you would be gone for good.

8:48pm
“Matt, stop walking around, you’re bumping into shit!” Nick yelled at his brother, headphones on his head playing music.
Chris let out a frustrated groan into the tape he had over his mouth, Matt mixing cake mix while getting some on the table.
“You aren’t talking to me, how the fuck am i supposed to do this!?” Matt yells, his hands being thrown up in the air.
Nick starts dancing to music playing on his headphones, Chris trying to get his attention as he does a spin.
“What!?” Nick yells as he sees Chris pointing at Matt. Nick looks and sees Matt spilt have of the batter on the table.
“Matt, what the fuck are you doing!?” Nick yells, Chris sighing and shaking his head.
Matt immediately drops the spoon and slams his hands down onto the table, him letting out an anxiety breath as his hands barely miss the batter he spilled.
Suddenly he feels a soft slap on the back of his thighs.
“What the fuck are you guys doing!?” Matt yells, already stressed out enough.
“Dada! Dada!” A small voice calls out, Matt recognizes the voice of his 1 year old daughter.
A smile gets brought to Matt’s face as he reaches around his head to take the blindfold off, setting it on the table before leaning down and picking Ella up.
“Hey, baby..” He whispers as her arms go around his neck.
Nick sighs and takes off his headphones before Chris takes off the tape on his mouth letting out a small ow.
Nick goes to turn off the camera, “Matt-” Chris starts but gets cut off by Matt.
“We can finish the video later, right? Excuse me, i need to put my daughter to bed.” Matt says, slight frustration still hinted in his voice.
Nick shrugs and Chris nods.
“Alright, sweet girl.” Matt whispers as he starts to walk towards his room that he still had at his brothers house, since Y/n was out of town he brought Ella with him to stay with him at his brothers.
Matt walks in the room, closing the door behind him.
He knew he’d have to get her tired first, Y/n was always good at this part but he’d have to manage.
He sits down on the bed with her, him up against the head board as Ella rests on his chest, her facing the tv.
“Shit..” He mutters to himself as he realized he forgot to grab a bottle.
As he goes to get up the door opens, revealing Chris and Nick, Nick was holding a warmed up bottle of milk as Chris was holding Ella’s dinosaur plushy.
Matt lets out a sigh of relief, sitting back down comfortably and smiling at his brothers as they walk over.
“Here, Ellie.” Chris says as Ella takes the dinosaur plush with him, Ella kicks her feet and lets out a laugh as she holds her Dinosaur plush up to show Matt.
“I see it, baby! How cool!” He laughs, kissing her forehead as she plays with it.
Nick then hands Matt the bottle of milk.
“Thank you guys..” He says, taking the bottle. Matt clears his throat, “Sorry that i got so frustrated, it’s just been hard with Y/n being gone for almost 2 weeks already.” Matt apologizes.
“You don’t have to apologize, we get it, bro.” Chris comforts.
“Yeah, you’re good, Matt. We can finish the video later.” Nick smiles.
Matt nods before his brothers leave the room, shutting the door behind them.
Ella then grabs the bottle from Matt, dropping her dinosaur plush on the bed so she can hold the bottle on her own.
Matt leans over to grab the remote to his tv off his nightstand, turning it on and clicking through kids channels.
“Whatcha wanna watch, sweetheart?” Matt says, holding her with one hand.
As expected Ella doesn’t say anything, continuing to drink her milk.
Matt shrugs, “Spongebob it is.” Before he puts the remote back on his nightstand.
—————————
9:03
After about 15 minutes, Estrella gave her bottle to Matt before turning around in his grip and resting her head into the crook of his neck, starting to close her eyes and fall asleep.
As about 5 more minutes pass Matt hears soft snores coming from Ella, that’s his cue to go put her in the small crib that he put in this room, knowing that Estrella and him would probably spend the night there.
As Matt goes to put her in, Ella jumps up from her sleep, she lets out a whine, not letting go of Matt as she almost starts to cry.
“Ella, come on, baby.” Matt says, but she lets out one cry, Matt knowing that if she started she wouldn’t stop.
Matt sighs, picking her back up fully and bringing her back to his bed. “Okay, one night, don’t tell mommy.” He says, climbing in bed with her and laying her down, putting pillows on the other side of her as he lays down on his side.
Ella lets out a huff before rolling over onto her belly, sticking her tongue in her mouth.
Matts hand goes to her back, watching as his daughter falls asleep.
He rubs her back at a slow soothing pace. Her letting out quiet hums of content.
Matt eventually fell asleep too, let’s just say that video did not get done tonight.

—- a tour
Luke Castellan x Persephone!genderneutral!reader
warning - persassy, mention about danger in the forest, mentions of couples making out in the forest, percy : 🧍🏼, soft Luke
plot -
Luke gives a tour to Percy and they come across a certain someone.
or
The child or Persephone babysits her younger half sibling when two boys see her.
”and that’s the entrance to the forest, i’d advise you to stay away from it though. it gets pretty dangerous at night and in the day time couples just go there to hang out.” Luke said mumbling that last bit.
Percy shot him a look of confusion and disgust, and Luke responded by just saying ‘yeah i know.’
The two boys then come to the strawberry farm where they see you playing with your eight year old half sibling.
At the sight of you, Luke’s eyes softened and his lips curled into a slight smile.
Meanwhile, you were using your powers to make a small flower for the younger girl, your half sibling smiled a toothy smile and fidgeted with the flower you’d given her.
Feeling the boys’ presence, you turn around to see the two and smile at them and wave.
Luke’s hand uncurled slightly giving you a small wave and Percy just stood there confused.
“who’s that?” Percy asked the older boy. Luke quickly snapped out of his trance to hum in confusion. “i mean who are they?”
“[ name ] [ last name ],” Luke said snapping his gaze over to you again watching you weave together flowers to make a crown for the girl.
“so you and them, huh?”
“what do you mean?” he said looking now back at Percy
“i mean you and them, forest?” Percy looked at him in genuine curiosity
“what? gods no!” he said a little too quickly, his face was flustered as he thought of you and him dating.
“i mean, they’re pretty. and everything just gets better when they’re around. and everything just blooms in a flourishing way.” he muttered to the younger boy his mind still fixated on you.
“mhm.” Percy hummed and before he could say anything, a certain child of Persephone showed up.
“whatcha guys talking about?” They both looked up to see you holding the hand of an eight year old girl.
“gods [ nick name ], don’t scare us like that.” Luke muttered teasingly and you fake laughed before a smile tugged at your lips.
Luke was right, Percy could see that everything just got brighter around you. You gave off a welcoming and kind aura and it made it 10x better with your kind smile. the flowers the wilted from dehydration looked crisp and clean around you.
you smiled at Luke but only glanced at Percy for a split moment with a confused glint in your eyes.
the eight year old girl tugged at your sleeve to go to the Persephone Cabin.
as soon as you left, the crisp and clean flowers now wilted again and looked sad. Percy remembered that your mother was Persephone, goddess of the Spring but also the Underworld as in death.
Luke watched you run back to the Persephone Cabin hand and hand with the eight year old girl.
“uh huh sure you don’t like her.” Percy said with sarcasm and sass mixing in his voice
“oh shut it.” Luke said with a flustered face.

Bathroom
Pairing: Dom!Agressive!chris x Reader
Summary: You were teasing Chris all day, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to do nothing because you were in public. You did not expected he would just not give a fuck about that.
Warning: Aggressive, smutt, public, cursing, pet name, unprotected sex, chocking, cockwarming.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“She said, "Forget all the slow dancing
Baby, we could take it to the bathroom
You know you ain't even gotta ask me
Baby, we could take it to the bathroom — Montell Fish"
You were teasing Chris Sturniolo the whole day. Even if you ain’t dating, you are still something. Maybe friends with benefits, that cannot hookup with anybody else.
You were sitting at the table with your best friends, the Sturniolo’s, dining at a famous restaurant in LA. Chris by your side and Nick and Matt in front of you. You were wearing a black tight top and a long skirt, what they didn’t know it was that you had no panties underneath it.
Yesterday, you got jealous of chris and his friend, and he said it was your imagination, so you decide to tease him.
Your hand, underneath the table, went slowly close to chris’s crotch. First in his thigh, he looked at you trying to hide his wide eyes. Then, you real slow moved to his dick, touching him on top of his baggy jeans.
His cock was already getting hard just by your touch. Chris always teases you, it’s nice to be teaser once in a while.
You lean over, slightly touching his ear with your mouth.
“Guess what? I have no panties on right now.” You whisper into his ear, his body shivering underneath your hand.
“Don’t fuck with me.” He says roughly, his angry gaze was just incredible to you.
You smiled innocently, as you didn’t just made him hard in front of his brothers. You take your hand off, leaving it on your lap.
His hands come to meet your waist, playing with the hem of your skirt, but before he could put his fingers inside of your clothes, you take his hand off, nodding a no.
“Y/n” His voice was raspy and low, chills running down your spine. You grab his hand and squeeze it, looking at him with puppy eyes.
“What? what did I do?” You were acting innocent, knowing damn well what you caused him.
“Don’t pull this out now.” His voice was rough, but you weren’t afraid, he couldn’t do anything in public.
“Uhm…” You ignore him, facing Matt and Nick, who were focused on their phones. “Imma go to the bathroom, excuse me”
You stand up and start leaving the bench you were sitting with Chris, but when you pass him, you “accidentally” fall and sits in his lap for a second. Even if it was for only a second, you can feel every inch of his hard dick.
He groans, but only you notice. You walk your way into the bathroom, locking the door, at least you think you did.
Meanwhile in the table, Nick locks his phone and grabs the menu. “Whatcha wanna eat?” He’s too focused on the options to notice his brother’s suffering face.
Chris was trying to focus on another thing other than you, or the fact that you are without any underwear. It was torture, he couldn’t take it anymore.
“I gotta piss real bad” Chris says, getting up and leaving the table. Matt and Nick look at eachother, shrugging.
As Chris walks to the bathrooms, he sees two door, the girls room and the boys. Normally, he would go to the man’s room, but he takes a turn and opens the woman’s bathroom just enough to get him through.
“Occupied!” You scream, checking yourself in the mirror, but Chris doesn’t care. He gets in and closes the door, locking it.
“You should lock the door when you’re using.” He says in a low tone, the room echoing his voice back to you.
“I- I thought i did.” You are now confused, why is he here? “What are you doing?” You ask, Chris taking short steps.
“You didn’t really think you could do that and get out free, did ya?” He’s inches away from you, tingles running down your body. “That’s fucking stupid.”
Chris chuckles, his hand go to your neck, pushing you to meet his mouth. When his tongue meet your lips, trying to get in, you deny. Chris’s hand tighten around your neck, making you gasp, giving him the perfect timing for his tongue meet yours.
His hands was tight around your waist, while the other was still holding your neck, gently caressing your jaw.
Chris might be rough now, but after he’s done with this, we will be acting like a prince, he always does. He can’t keep the tough guy mask for too long.
His kisses go down your neck, leaving hickeys and small bites. The heat between your legs growing, you squeezing your tights together.
“Turn around” Chris groans, putting both of his hands on your hip. You try to deny, but the look he just gave you was enough to make you give up. His eyes were dark, his pupils dialed.
You turn around, facing yourself in the mirror, your lipstick was smudged. You grap onto the edge of the sink.
Chris’s smirk while he takes your skirt off, dropping it to your feet, was just maddening.
“Already wet for me, huh? Such a needy slut.” Chris’s voice was low, shivers running down your spine. “Do you want me to go slow?”
You nod a yes. Even if you and Chris had sex a couple of times, you are still not used to his size, and it always hurts in the beginning.
“You’ll have to beg” Chris responded, his hand was still in your hips, not moving an inch.
You stay quiet, yes, you really wanted him to go slow, but your pride was bigger. So you nod a shy no, already fearing.
“Hm, your choice, baby.” He chuckles, unbuckling his pants.
He stands still yet, so you thought he wouldn’t do anything. But when you least expect, he thrusts into you, giving every inch.
You let a loud moan come out of your mouth, which makes him put his hand over your mouth. Chris leans over, his lips slightly touching your ear.
“Be loud or be more time and I will stop.”
Your proud side told you to moan, just to tease him and make him mad. But your needy side told you to be quiet, and you listened.
You nod, pressing your lips together and looking down, noticing the bulge in your belly.
“Good.” He whispers and chuckle, then start thrusting into you, his hips going roughly in and out.
“Fuck, you’re tight” Chris whimpers, while you eyes roll back, you were biting your hand, trying not to make a sound, but soft and low moans were still leaving it.
He was not being delicated, his thrusts were rough and harsh, painful but incredible. You have never seen him like this, this is a new side of chris.
Your hands were grabbing the sink, while you felt his tip hit your cervix every time he pushed all of his dick into you.
You felt the knot forming in your stomach, bigger and bigger until you couldn’t take it anymore.
“Chris, mhm” You whisper, moaning quietly. “I’m gonna, fuck…”
You feel your cum leaving your body, making a mess all over his dick. A moan left your mouth louder than it should be, but Chris didn’t seem to mind, he kept thrusting into you through your orgasm.
“Do you want me to stop, huh?” You wanted to say yes, the overstimulation was making your knees weaker, you felt like you could fall at any time. So you nod, feeling another orgasm form as he pouts into you harder and harder.
“Say it, I wanna hear you.” Again, your pride was too big for you to say it, so you kept you mouth shut. “So stubborn, baby.”
The knot start to form again when he takes his hand and massages your weak spot, your body trembling as you feel your warm liquid leak again, you body squeezing his dick.
“Mhm, fuck!” You moan, being muffles this time by your own hand. Chris whimpers, his thrust were now getting slower and sloppier.
“Third time is the charm, c’mon baby.” He says in a low and raspy tone, his hands travel up your neck.
He starts squeezing your neck a little, then he leans you up, your back touching his belly.
Chris’s whimpers in your ear made you weak, your body trembles again, as you hit your orgasm for the third time.
Chris wasn’t far behind, and after a couple of times, the fill you up with his cum.
He lets you go, falling and leaning over your back. His breathing accelerated as he caresses your waist.
His dick was still inside you. “Gotta keep my cum inside of you, yeah?”
After a few seconds, he takes off his dick and grab papers to clean y’all up. Chris puts his pants back and help you putting your skirt up.
“Are you okay, baby? Was I too rough?” He asks, his voice worried. And there he is again, the soft and cute Chris.
You nod a yes, not having the strength to speak.
“Can you say something? Shit, did I hurt you?” Now he was really worried, his hands rubbing gently your back.
You lean back up and smile, cleaning the few tears that rolled down your cheek.
“I’m fine, Chris.” You say and give his a quick kiss in the cheek. Your legs were weak and your body trembled, but you were absolutely incredible.
“Ok.” He smiles, but still worried. “Imma go back, you coming?”
“In a sec.” Chris comes out of the bathroom, and you fix your looks, so they won’t realize.
Chris gets to the table and sits up, Nick and Matt already eating.
They look at his brother, brows furrowed.
“Where the fuck were you?” Nick asks, mad.
“The guy in the bathroom took so fucking long.” Chris rolls his eyes, lying straight to their face.
“And where is Y/n?” Matt asks, eating a bite of his burger. Chris shrugged, reading the menu.
After a few seconds, you show up, limping over to the table. Everybody looks worried at you, you sit down and then realizes them staring at you.
“Are you okay? What happened??” Nick asks, worried.
“I-I fell on the way here.” You lie, your cheeks turning red.
They continue eating their burgers, but you feel Chris’s hand caressing your tight, you look at him.
His ocean blue eyes were looking at you, Chris was apologizing only with his eyes, and you smile back, putting you hand over his.

hi there ! i love your blog and your writing ! if i may, can i request something from the yandere spiderverse series ? maybe miguel orders someone like pavitr to watch you as he is out on a mission or something like that ?
Watching Over You (Yandere Spiderverse x reader)
Tumblr media
Not super Pavitr focused, I got kinda carried away. So sorry if this wasn't what you wanted. Hope you enjoy.
"Y'know you're not obligated to stay here or anything just because Miguel said so."
"I know! Don't worry, I like being with you."
"Suit yourself."
It's been about an hour since Pavitr came to supposedly "check up on you." You knew it was Miguel's idea for Pavitr to watch you while he went on a mission, but you really just expected him to stay for a few minutes and then leave, go hang out with Hobie or something. Instead, he's inspecting every nick and cranny of your room, asking you tons of questions about everything he finds, and currently reclining on your bed while reading a comic book.
While he's usually pretty talkative, Pavitr's pretty engrossed into his comic, allowing you to get some work done. Miguel's been hounding you to look at some footage and identify and prospective anomaly. Because of your friends, namely Hobie, taking up your time, you haven't been able to really work until now.
"Hey, whatcha working on?" You jumped at Pavitr's sudden appearance behind you. He was gazing over at your main screen, eyes locked onto the footage of the blurry anomaly.
"Just trying to identify this anomaly but the footage Miguel sent me is super fuzzy." Your words are mixed with the sounds of you typing as you leaned in closer towards the screen like it would suddenly become clearer if you were closer. You faintly hear Pavitr hum, slowly moving towards the screen as well.
Pavitr give you a small pat on the back. You turn to look at him, almost being blinded by his sunny smile. "Well, you've been working too long, come take a break." Your back straightened while you eye Pavitr with a furrowed brow, shaking your head.
"I haven't been able to work in a while." You look back at your screen, missing as the smile on Pavitr's face drops. "I have to get this done or Miguel-"
"Don't worry about Miguel." He interrupts with a shake of his head, his hair falling in front of his face slightly. "He won't do anything, you know that." He states the obvious. You know he won't do anything, but it doesn't mean he doesn't scare you. Pavitr grips the back of your chair and spins you around, so your back is facing your screens. "Come on, up!" He gives you a small push, finally you're out of your chair. Pavitr links an arm with yours, leading you out of the room.
"Aye, we're you two going?" It's Hobie, of course.
"We're getting lunch!" Pavitr beams, Hobie nodding along. He moves to the side opposite of Pavitr, motioning for you two to continue moving, which Pavitr does happily. You groan as Pavitr continues to lead you through the hallways of HQ.
"I guess we're getting lunch." you mumble to yourself.
---
"Hey, stop touching my food." Pavitr yells at Hobie, slapping his hand away.
"You mean our food." He says, shoving fries into his mouth, Pavitr pushing his face away playfully.
Hobie takes quick glance at you, "You've barely touched your food." Pavitr looks with a raised brow.
"Do you not like it? I can get you something else?" You shake your head, messing with the fries on your plate.
"Nah, I'm good, just tired."
Hobie rolls his eyes, sneering with a slight shake of his head, "It's all that work Miguel's shoving on you." Pavitr nods, looking at you with concern.
"Yeah, Hobie's right. When was the last time you slept, have you been eating good? You do look kinda sick, right Hobie? Don't they look sick? Y'know, I think we should have a talk with Mig-"
"Oh, look! Gwen's here!" You interrupt Pavitr from his worried ramblings, getting Gwen's attention. She waves at you, Pavitr's mood instantly changing as he waves back at her.
"Hey, why wasn't I invited?" She sits down at an empty chair next to you, smiling as she takes some of your fries. You move your tray over to her, which she happily takes.
"When'd you get back?" Hobie asks, ignoring her original question. He's referring to the mission her and Miles were on together. She simply shrugs, swallowing the bits of food in her mouth.
"Just got back." She answers. "Wasn't anything big." She subtly brags. You nod along with her words, in your own world. The conversation becomes fuzzy in you dissociation before Gwen snaps in your face, breaking you out of your stupor.
"Hey, what's got your head in the clouds?" You open your mouth to answer, Pavitr beating you to it.
"Miguel's been giving them way too much work, they've barely gotten a break." Pavitr answers, his tone serious. At the mention of Miguel Hobie groans, throwing his head back in annoyance. Gwen chuckles at him, crossing her arms as she slouches back in her chair.
"That's classic Miguel for ya." She utters. You turn your head towards her.
"Look guys, it's fine, it's not even that much work anyway." You attempt to reason, maybe because Miguel is your father figure, maybe because you don't want to admit your overworked and tired. Either way, the three give you a questioning look, causing you to look away in embarrassment.
The three looks at you for a few more seconds before turning their heads in sync to the side. Must be the Spidey thing, you assume. You turn with them, spotting Miles coming towards you. You groan, laying your head on the table as Gwen waves at him.
Miles moves a chair over to your table, sitting down with a smile. Gwen moves to share her, well, your food, with him. You feel a tap on your head, lazily moving your head up. You see the group staring at you, all watching as you sit up slowly.
"Sorry." You mumble, rubbing your forehead. Miles eyes dart in between you and Gwen.
"Are you good (Y/N)?" You nod your head silently, not exactly the answer Miles wanted. He looks like he wants to say more, before Gwen speaks up.
"We should go back to your room, maybe you'll feel better there." Pavitr nods enthusiastically, Hobie shrugging.
Before you can answer, you swept up by Hobie, how links his arm with yours. You try to protest, but your voice is drowned out by Miles and Pavitr.
Hobie looks at you, ruffling your hair with a teasing smile. "Stop complaining, it's not all that bad. It's our job to watch over you."
You huff, looking away, "I can watch after myself." He snorts, nearly laughing at your response.
"Sure you can."

Halloween. One of the most fun times for kids and one hellacious time for parents having to deal with their kids hyped up on candy. This is the first Halloween that Y/N will be able to remember and she will be able to walk up to the doors and grab candy on her own. Now she just needed the perfect costume and who better to ask than her RIO grandpa and grandma especially if she wanted it to be a surprise for parents.
Everyone at school was discussing on what they were going to be but Little Y/N had no idea what she was gonna be. Halloween was super close, like Thursday and today was Tuesday. Nothing what the other students were going as interested her. What she really wanted to do was go as her fathers but she didn't know where to start until she got this brilliant idea of asking someone that knew how to be an aviator and dress like one. She wanted it to be a surprise to everyone. It was the end of the school day and Bradley and Jake had asked Carole and Goose to pick up their little girl due to them having to some work on paperwork and have a late night training. Goose and Carole were in the pickup line at her school, when it came to her turn Carole got out and helped her into her car seat. "Hey, Chick! Have a good day?" Goose asked and she nodded and this made the grandparents frown.
"You ok, Honey?" Carole asked looking back at her while Goose drove.
"Everyone has a costume but me." She said and that caused them to both frown again.
"Do you know what you want to go as?" Goose asked he knew that Bradley and Jake had been asking her but they weren't getting anywhere.
"Yea." She said in a quiet voice and they made them smile.
"Well, what is it, Chick?" Goose asked
"I wanna go like Daddy and Papa." She said and looked up with bright eyes and a smile and that made them smile.
"Do you want help?" Carole asked as she turned around back to the front.
"Uh huh. I want it to be a secret." Y/N said and amazement and they both chuckled as Goose pulled up at their house. Goose and Carole got out and Goose got Y/N out "I wanna be like them when I grow up!" She said excitedly and he smiled she really did love her daddies. They walked into the house where Carole was already getting out her sewing material and Goose looked at her.
"Whatcha doing there?" Goose asked
"Well, I have decided to make her costume instead of buying it. Lord knows I've seen enough of them and know the material." She said with a chuckle as Goose put Y/N down. "Ok, Honey. Come here and let me measure you." Carole said and Y/N happily skipped over to her and she began measuring her. Once she got everything down she looked up to her husband. "I'm going to do the craft store and to get the material. You're good with her?" She asked and Goose laughed and picked her up and spun her around pulling a squeal out of her.
"Of course I got Chick." Goose said as he stopped spinning her and looked at his wife. Carole smiled and off to the store she went. "Well, Chick how about we get you started on your homework and supper?" He asked and she looked up at him.
"Ok!" She said and so they began their activities, while Goose cooked he helped her with her homework. An hour later, 4:30 PM, Carole was coming back in with bags which Goose quickly took and helped her with.
"Dinner is reader and homework is done." Goose said and Y/N nodded and went to hugged her grandma.
"Awesome! We'll eat and then get started on this costume. I'll just need you to get The Daggers' squad patch." She said and they nodded and began plating and then eating.
"You got it, Dear." Goose said. After dinner plates and the kitchen was cleaned and everyone headed to the living room. A movie was put on and Carole got to work on putting Y/N's costume together. Every now and then she would call her over and make sure it was fitting right and then she would send her back over to Goose. She had most of it done but got a text from Jake at 8:00 PM.
Jake: Finally done. We'll be there to pick her up in 30 minutes.
She was about to reply when she heard snoring one loud and one so quiet that it may not be considered snoring. She looked up and smiled and quickly snapped a picture. She opened the text and attached the picture.
Carole: Take your time. We have it handled.
Carole quickly put away the almost finished costume and waited for the boys to arrive by tidying up the place. She heard The Bronco pull up and smiled she heard them open the door and they walked in she greeted them and led them to the living room. Goose had been awake but Y/N was fast asleep. He carefully stood up and gently handed her off to Bradley. Sensing that she was in one of her fathers' arms she snuggled closer into him and buried her head into his neck. "She wasn't too much trouble was she?" Jake asked and Carole shook her head.
"Not at all. She did tell us what she wanted to be for Halloween." She smirked knowing that she wasn't allowed to tell them and that surprised them.
"What is it?" Bradley asked
"We can't tell you." Goose said and they groaned "Hey, it's your guys' daughter's wishes." He added with sass and they huffed but respected her wishes. As they were walking out she handed Jake her backpack and then some to-go containers. As Goose and Y/N napped she had put some food into to-go containers since they probably hadn't eaten since lunch. They thanked her profusely and then they were on their way. Bradley carefully loaded her into her car seat and then they were on their way.
When they got home Bradley parked in the garage next to Jake's truck and he got Y/N out and headed inside letting Jake get everything else. Bradley changed her into her pajamas and tucked her into bed. He went downstairs and where he found Jake heating up the food for the both of them. "I swear they have some sort of magic when it comes to getting her asleep." Bradley said to Jake and he nodded.
"She didn't wake up when you put her to bed?" He asked and Bradley shook his head.
"Not even a peep when I changed her into her pajamas." Bradley said and Jake huffed.
"We need to find out their secrets." He said and Bradley laughed taking a bite of food. When they finished they cleared the dishes and watched some TV cuddled into each other and then headed to bed.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The next day when Goose went to work he stopped by Maverick's office and Ice was there. He walked in without knocking luckily they weren't doing anything was meant for the bedroom. "Hey, Goose! What's up?" Maverick asked coming over to hug his RIO and best friend and Ice doing the same thing.
"You can't tell Bradley and Jake this, well any of The Daggers really." Goose said looking at them and they were looking at him with an unreadable expression. "Anyways, Chick wants to be like her daddies aka Naval Aviator. Carole wants me to get The Daggers' squad patch. I know we have some lying around here." Goose said and they smiled.
"She is going to be so adorable!" Maverick said walking over to his desk and opening the desk drawer. He pulled out a patch and handed it to him. That was the last piece Carole needed for the costume.
"Do I even want to know how or why you have so many?" Ice asked and Maverick looked up at him.
"No." He said and Ice nodded.
"Noted." He said
--------------------------------------------------------------
Thursday rolled around and Y/N was excited. So excited that it made her parent's smile at how happy she was since she had been so down leading up to Halloween. "Sweets, are you gonna tell us what you're gonna be?" Jake asked as he and Bradley picked her up from school and she looked up and smirked, Jake's smirk.
"Nu-uh." She said and Bradley chuckled.
"Fine." Jake said "Bob, Judy, and Mason are going to be over to go trick-or-treating with us and then the rest of The Daggers will be over for a get together." Jake said more so to Bradley.
"Mason is gonna be there?" Y/N asked with doe eyes, Jake and Bradley smiled she really did love that boy and they just knew they would end up together when they got older.
"That's right, Honey." Bradley said and she squealed. "I hear he is going to be going as a cowboy." He added.
"He's going to be an awesome one." Jake said as he pulled up into their garage and parked and turned off the truck. As they were getting out of the truck Carole and Goose rolled up behind them. Once Jake got her out of her car seat she was running to Carole and then tugging her inside not giving her a chance to say hello to the boys.
"Hey boys." Goose said
"Hey, Dad." Bradley said as the same time as Jake said "Hey, Goose." and they hugged each other and walked inside. When they got in neither Carole nor Y/N were in sight but they heard giggling. While they got ready Ice, Maverick, and Slider showed up then it was Bob, Judy, and Mason. Closer to the time to start walking around and handing out candy the rest of The Daggers showed up. Neither Carole nor Y/N had made an apperance.
"Where is Carole and Sunshine?" Ice asked taking a sip of his drink that he had gotten.
"Y/N dragged her in here and they haven't been seen since. They're upstairs from the sound of chuckling." Bradley said and just about that time Carole came downstairs.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to present you the newest Dagger member. Lieutenant Y/N 'Chick' Bradshaw-Seresin." She said proudly as Y/N came down the stairs decked out in her handcrafted flight suit and combat boots and she was smiling proudly. Her hair was French braided and then pulled into a bun. She even had the signature black t-shirt on. She had the all the patches and they were in the right places and she even had a patch that had 'Y/N Bradshaw-Sersin' and underneath it 'Chick'. Chick had become her unofficial callsign since everyone loved it and yes even Jake.
"Sweets, you look amazing!" Jake said coming to pick her up and she smiled.
"I wanted to be like you and Daddy." She said and everyone teared up.
"You're missing one thing, Chick." Goose said and pulled out a pair of aviators that would fit her. He walked over and put them on her. "There. Now you're ready." He said and she smiled a beaming smile. Jake put her down and pictures were taken and then she spotted Mason and they hugged each other and everyone got pictures of them together.
It was getting dusk out and so everyone headed outside and sat around in the driveway. The weeks leading up to Halloween Jake and Bradley had decorated everything since it was one of their favorite holidays. "Ok, Sweets. Who do you want to take you around?" Jake asked. she stood there and popped that hip out.
"Both of you." She said and they laughed and nodded they had yet to change so they actually matched her and she loved it. So the three of them and Bob and Mason headed out to get some candy. The fathers' watched their kids be fearless and go up together to houses. Once they had gotten to all the houses it was time to go home. Both kids were a head of them and talking excitedly with each other and were close together. Many people commented on their outfits and they awed over them. When they got home Goose smiled.
"How was it?" He asked them.
"It was so fun!" Y/N said bounding over to him and showed him all the candy she had gotten.
"That's so cool!" He said and she nodded. Once it was nearing the end of the night and no more kids were coming by they headed inside and out into the back where a bonfire was lit and chair were pulled around it. The adults talked and watched their kids run around.
"Thank you, Mom for putting her costume together." Bradley said and she waved him off.
"It was nothing and I know how to make it due to seeing it all of my life married to your dad." She said and nudged Goose with a smile.
"You did amazing. All the detail is amazing." Nat said and everyone nodded in agreement. Just then both kids ran to their parents Mason went to Judy and snuggled into her and Y/N went to Bradley and snuggled into him. Both of them were out like a light in the matter of minutes, since it was 10 PM at night and the sugar rush had ran out.
"Well, it looks like we better get going." Bob said and Judy nodded. They bid them a goodnight and Bradley helped them out. When Bradley came back Maverick was tending to the fire.
"I'm gonna put her to bed." Jake said and kissed the side of her head and Bradley did the same. Jake took off her shoes and changed her out of her costume and into her pajamas and hung the costume up he smiled while doing so. "She's going to make one hell of an aviator." He said to himself and then kissed her one more time and left her room and went down to their guests.
Everyone started to trickle out when 11 PM hit and before Bradley and Jake knew it they were by themselves. They stood in the kitchen and looking at the candy bag on the counter. "She wouldn't know if a few pieces were missing would she?" Jake asked and looked at Bradley.
"Jake. She's the daughter of two Naval Aviators. She's gonna notice." Bradley said
"But she's 6." He said already digging through the candy.
"Yes but also very observant." Bradley said wanting some too. "Fine but only a few." He said and Jake nodded.
"That sounds like a plan. We take what she doesn't like." Jake said and they agreed on that and dumped the candy into a bowl that Bradley was fished out while they were talking. True to their word they ate what she wouldn't like and left the rest. Although they did feel guilty for taking candy from their kid but they would deal with that later.

Hi! ❤️
How do you think the companions romanced or not (and Maxson) will react if you give them a portrait of themselves that you drew?) maybe Sole is artist or smth like that)
OOoooo good Idea!
(Im not the best with *all* the characters, but im tryin here!)
Because I mainly Write for like just deacon and a few others, also I did it in my usual format so I hope that's good enough!
(Also I did both romanced and non-romanced because HEHEHEHEHEH also non romanced is assumed Sole reached Idolized with them.)
Cait:
(I don't know that much about Cait, so I'm trying my best [: )
Non-romanced:
Would probably be irritated, but also flattered
"What're ye given me that for?"
Secretly thinks thats pretty nice but she's not telling Sole that.
Romanced:
Would be a bit more appreciative of it openly, but still act tough about it.
"Its alroight, eyh guess-"
Would probably fold it up and secretly keep it stashed in her corset or something.
But if anyone asks she never had it.
She sneakily gives Sole a quick smooch on the cheek.
Maccready:
(Idk that much about him but Ik he's a dork)
Non-Romanced:
"Oh that's pretty cool-"
Probably hasn't had a friend draw him before.
Probably pretty impressed because I think he likes to doodle too.
Romanced:
Probably would ask for more drawings after he sees that.
Like a drawing of him and Duncan
Keeps that drawing in his pocket, happily.
Smiles like an idiot, then gives Sole a little kiss.
Danse:
Non-Romanced:
"What is the purpose of this, soldier?"
Genuinely confused on why they drew him, Is it because they're just practicing their drawing? Is it a symbol of affection?
He would be critiquing the details and where Sole can improve, even if they didn't ask him to.
But thats just him showing he's interested in Sole's improvement.
Romanced:
"Oh, Thank you. This is a rather detailed depiction of my likeness."
He would be more invested in Sole's improvement if romanced, 100%.
Keeps that drawing in a nice safe place, he doesn't want it to get lost.
When he realizes it's actually like.. a sign of affection, he's got a big ass smile on his face.
Deacon:
Non-Romanced:
"Guessing you like my face then, huh? Don't get too attached it though!"
Actually very flattered that he's being drawn and not just on wanted posters because he goofed off too much.
Pretends to throw it away, but actually sticks it in his pocket.
Romanced:
"Damn, you must realllyy love my face then, huh?"
Trying so hard to not giggle like an idiot at that moment.
Smiling like a dork, big goofy grin.
Maybe blushing a little bit, but definitely trying to hide it.
Hancock:
Non-Romanced:
"Suprised you got my ugly mug is so much detail heh-"
Taking a nice good look at it, definitely putting it on the wall later.
Where everyone can see it, like a public buletin board.
Romanced:
Sole's 100% getting a big ol' kiss from him for this.
Still putting it on a public buletin board but will like publicly announce that theres a cool-ass drawing of him done by his partner on the bulletin.
"Thanks, Sunshine. Looks just like me-"
Piper
Non-Romanced:
"Thanks Blue! This looks great!"
Putting it on her wall next to her terminal.
Really appreciates it, she might even consider getting Sole to make illustrations for the Publick.
Romanced:
"Aww, Thanks Blue! I love it!"
Sole's getting a smooch on the cheek for this.
She's definitely showing it to Nick and her sister.
Nick Valentine:
Non-Romanced:
"Huh. Thanks kid, looks great."
Would probably get lost in his files and papers.
But he still appreciates that Sole took the time to draw him.
"Maybe you can take the time to make some wanted posters. The ones around here ain't the best".
Romanced:
He's putting it on the wall, immediately. Right over his desk.
"Thanks, Sweetheart, I love it."
Really happy Sole took the time to draw a beat up old Synth like him.
Longfellow:
Non-Romanced:
"Huh? Whatcha draw me for?"
Doesn't really think it's worth the effort for Sole to draw him.
But he's flattered. Probably keeps it on a table in his cabin somwhere.
Curie:
Non-Romanced:
"Oh thank you! Zis is very nice of you!"
Puts it in with her medical notes, folded up and paperclipped in the folder.
Big ol' smile.
Romanced:
About the same, But gives Sole a sweet little kiss on the cheek.
Codsworth:
Non-Romanced:
"Thank you Sir/Miss, I shall treasure this drawing always!"
Doesn't have a place to put it really, so he just kinda holds onto it for a while and maybe puts it with his cleaning supplies.
X6-88:
Non-Romanced:
"I do not understand why you would draw me, Sir/Ma'am."
Really doesn't get it.
Even if sole explains that it was a sign of affection and appreciation.
He really tries to understand why, but logically it doesn't make sense to him.
Romanced:
Still doesn't really get it, but he's trying his best.
"Thank you, Sir/Ma'am."
Keeps it in his pocket anyways.
Very tiny little smile.
Preston:
Non-Romanced:
"Thank you General, This is really nice of you-"
Keeps it in his coat pocket happily.
Big ol' smile on his face.
Blushing a bit that Sole took time and effort to draw him in such detail.
Romanced:
"Oh wow, Thanks babe!"
Sole is getting a smooch, right on the lips (:
Gage:
Non-Romanced:
"What the hell, boss. Why'd ya waste yer time on that?"
Throws it away, he's a raider, ain't got time for sappy touchy-feely shit.
"Tough shit boss, suck it up." when Sole gets mad at him for throwing it away.
Romanced:
Same kinda reaction, but he picks it up outta the trash later and sticks it in his pocket.
Ada:
Non-Romanced:
"Oh. Thank you. This is rather nice."
Doesn't have anywhere to keep it, so Sold holds onto it for her.
Maxson:
Non-Romanced:
"Well, Soldier. That does catch my likeness very well, doesn't it?"
Cocky bastard about it, but in a "Im your elder" way.
Thats getting put into his man diary (That he 100% has because I said so.)
Romanced:
"Well, that is very nice.. Thank you Soldier-"
Puts it into his pocket for later, with a smile on his face that goes away once he walks away from Sole, because it's serious time now.

She stood in the door of the bathroom, gripping the blanket against her naked body as she watched him rearrange his products. She couldn’t help but check him out, eyeing his broad shoulders with all the moles scattered on his body. When he dampened his face with water, he got startled seeing her standing there, her arms crossed and head against the doorframe. He turned around, squealing a bit as he clutched his chest.
Eden snickered to herself, collecting her robe off the hook which prompted him to quickly turn back around to give her some privacy. “Did I scare you?”
“Yes, I didn’t know you were awake yet.” He pouts, trying to keep his eyes on lathering up his shave soap while he blushes.
She was now in her fluffy, cozy robe, walking towards him before pressing her front to his back, wrapping her arms around his waist and hugging him. “That’s what I came to tell you.” She placed a kiss on the center of his back, reaching up on her toes to kiss the mole on his shoulder. “I’m awake.”
He grinned, looking at the top of her head that he could barely see behind him due to her height. He bends his knees a bit, Eden taking it upon herself to kiss his cheek.
“Good morning. Did you sleep okay?” Seokmin asks her, raising his eyebrow.
“Never better.” She pecks him on the lips. “Whatcha doing?”
She moves next to him, turning around and hoisting herself up on the counter. She purses her lips while admiring his body, her attention quickly switching to all his products laid out. She’s never seen him shave before. She can’t remember a time, if any, where she has felt anything other than his baby soft skin on his face. It was always something he did by himself in private.
“Shaving.” He runs his fingers along his jaw, studying himself in the mirror, taking the towel he laid out and wrapping it around his neck.
She blinks a couple of times before leaning closer to him, squinting her eyes. If she wasn’t so close to his face, she wouldn’t have noticed the tiniest hairs coming in.
Seokmin is quick to explain himself when seeing her confused face. “I know what you’re thinking. It’s just a peeve of mine.”
“It’s cute. This is why your skin is always so soft, huh?” She coos, rubbing her fingers through his hair to tease him. The tips of his ears grow red as he picks up the brush, swirling it around the soap some more. He is about to put the cream on his jaw until she stops him. “Can I?”
“You wanna do it?”
“Could be fun.” She takes the brush out of his hand and picks up some of the cream, spreading it across his skin. She tries to apply it elegantly, making sure it isn’t messy.
“You don’t have to be so gentle. I usually just go in.” He makes a quick swirling motion as Eden takes more, mirroring what he is doing. She laughs, feeling uncertain whether she’s being too rough.
She smacks her lips together and he flattens his so she can run the brush across his lips. She isn’t sure whether she’s using too much or too little, but by the time she thinks it’s evenly applied, he resembles Santa Claus.
“Ho ho ho. You’re so cute!” She forces her voice lower, the couple snorting together while Seokmin gets his razor out. He’s about to start shaving until his eyes turn to her.
“Why don’t you give it a try?” He holds out the razor to her and she takes it without a second thought.
She looks excited until she stops. “I’m not gonna cut you, right? I mean I’ve never nicked myself before so I won’t cut you, right?”
“No baby, you won’t cut me.” He points his finger. “I go down. Wash. Left across, wash, right, wash again, and if I have to I go up last.”
“That’s an elaborate shaving regimen.” She smirks, placing her hand on his shoulder while her dominant one drags the razor down his face. He rests his palms on her thighs, trying not to smile when seeing her so concentrated. Her vision must have defied her because she hears the sound of the prickly hairs being cut away and she knows that he had growth coming in. Seokmin turns on the faucet, taking the metal razor from her and rinsing it out under the water and handing it back to her.
She shakes out the excess water before going back over his skin. Her eyebrows frown as she  leans closer, watching as she glides away the cream. He can’t help but study her features, especially her tongue just poking out from
between her lips. “Keep looking at me like that and I might actually cut you.”
He rolls his eyes, unable to speak as he pushes out his jaw to give her easier access to his chin. When she’s done in that area, she starts on the other side of his face.
“Should I look forward to this in the future when we move in together?”
“Of course. I don’t think I could do it everyday but of course.” Her lips curve upwards, kissing him on the forehead.
“I don’t do it everyday.” He pauses once he sees she’s not phased. “Every other day... Okay, four days maximum. That’s all I can take.”
“I can work with that.” She finishes up on the first round, watching as he splashes water on his face to get rid of any leftover cream. He leaves his face wet as his eyes point to the tiny cup. She grabs his application brush again, gathering more cream and painting it on his face. “This is so fun.”
She starts going to the left now, having difficulty focusing with his fingers pressing into her thighs. “I wish shaving was this fun–“
Seokmin takes a sharp inhale quickly, pulling away from her. She widens her eyes, dropping his razor in the sink and turning his head towards her with her fingers, not paying any attention to the shaving cream getting on her.
“Did I get you? Shit.” She curses to herself, trying to find exactly where he got cut but finding no evidence of it. “Where did I get you? I’m sorry–“
His eyebrows relax, pecking her on the lips and getting some of his shaving cream on her face. She tries to blink away the tears that are pooling her eyes when she realizes he is just messing with her.
“You can be a real jerk, you know that?” Eden swipes the towel from around his neck, wiping her hands clean before throwing it at him.
“I’m sorry!” He apologizes, trying to kiss her some more and laughing when she pushes him away.
“Sure.” She rubs the back of her hand on her face, pushing herself forward off the counter and going to walk away.
He catches her waist, his eyes pleading and she almost falls for his golden retriever act. “I still have 2 more rounds to do.”
Eden tucks her lips into a pout, approaching him to put her hands on his shoulders and going up on her toes. She kisses his forehead which seems to be the only vacant spot without shaving cream covering him. “Then you’ll have no problem finishing it on your own.”
He’s almost convinced until she bursts his bubble. She clicks her tongue before strutting back into the bedroom. “You let me know when you’re sorry and ready to use the bathtub.”
“I am sorry!”
She settled on sorting all her clothes into her luggage, leaving an outfit set aside for when they got out of the bathtub. She left her necessary skincare products on the sink, packing the rest of what she didn’t need.
Half an hour passed before he finally finished shaving, sitting on the edge of the tub in his robe, dipping his hand under the faucet before he thought it was the perfect temperature. He really should have been packing too, but he wanted to delay going home as much as possible.
Eden made sure everything was where it belonged and didn’t leave anything out. When she zipped her pouch, she looked in the mirror to see him with a content smile on his face, checking her out. She pursed her lips, spinning around on her heel to face him. He cleared his throat to save himself before looking behind him and seeing how full the tub was.
She let out a heavy sigh before sitting on his thigh, wrapping her arms around his neck. She leaned in, whispering in his ear. “I saw that.” She pecked his earlobe, breaking away and kissing his forehead.
“I have no shame.” He hugs her tighter by the waist, resting his head against her chest. “This trip has been so amazing.”
She agrees with a hum, brushing her fingers through his hair. “I have a suggestion.”
“Tell me.”
She rubs her thumb back and forth on his cheek, kissing him on his brow bone. “Let’s try to come back here every year. To this exact house.”
He smirks before pulling away from her chest. He looks up at her with a smile, nodding before gently pressing his lips to hers. “I’d love that. O-obviously if you don’t have any schedules and it would always have to be after we celebrate carats birthd–”
A smile creeps onto her face, scrunching her nose before letting her giggle escape. “I know. Even if it’s not exactly on our birthdays, I would love nothing more than to come back here and celebrate each other around that time. Or any time for that matter.”
“Anywhere you want, anything you want.”
Seokmin’s eyes glimmer while looking at her, getting lost in her gaze. She breaks their eye contact by leaning over to see the tub filled with bubbles. “I think it’s ready.”
He wasted no time getting into the bathtub as Eden clipped her hair up before stepping into the water. She felt Seokmin’s hands on her hips as he helped her sit down. The gesture itself makes her body rise in temperature. She spreads the bubbles around evenly, making sure her body is covered before laying back against his chest.
He pushes his fingers gently into her shoulder, trying to get her to relax some more. Her eyebrows scrunch up together as he manages to ease the tension in her back and a moan sounds off from her body.
He would continue to massage her back but he’s afraid of what he would do if she kept moaning like that. Instead, he wraps his arms around her, bubbles dripping down his arm as he kisses her neck.
She grins, shutting her eyes as she runs her fingers across his wrist. “I am going to miss this tub.”
He chuckles next to her ear, feeling his warm breath blow against her skin. “Why don’t you find a place that has a bathtub?”
“Wouldn’t that require me living alone?”
Seokmin clicks his tongue, trying to think of some alternatives for her but finding none. Until an idea popped into his brain. It was illogical but he didn’t care one bit.
“When should we move in together?”
They’ve talked about it a few times but nothing came of it. He still lives with some of his members and Eden has been encouraged by the girls a few times to venture out on her own. It would be a big step for him and her both.
“Is that something you’d like to do in the near future?” She asked him, letting go of his hand and swirling circles around her kneecap. She watched the bubbles dissolve to keep her mind distracted from running a marathon.
He grabs her left hand, running his thumb over her ring. “There’s nothing I’ve dreamed about more.”
Eden uses her other hand to intertwine their fingers together, wiping the bubbles off his hand to see his ring more clearly. “What would we do if we’re away?”
“Well, I guess I can just keep my room and stay with Vernon and Chan when I want to. I’m sure the girls would always be happy to have you, your sister too. Then we can be together whenever our schedules allow us.”
She nods. “That sounds perfect.” She turns her head a bit to look back at him. She is immediately met with his smile and he leans in to kiss her.
“Wanna start looking in our free time?” He asks her, and Eden nods. It was as simple as that. There was no doubt they wanted to live together and they didn’t need to dwell on the possibility any longer.
Eden smiles like an idiot, letting her head fall back against him as she inspects their connected hands. The water soaks into the spaces where his hands are peeling.
“The prettiest hands.” She whispers to herself but he hears her clearly.
“Not so much.” Seokmin lets go of her hand, pulling his away so he can dip it back underwater. He has confided in her many times about his eczema. She’s saddened by how insecure he is about it but she still thinks he’s beautiful regardless.
Eden grabs his hand back, holding it close to her chest. “My favorite hands.”
“They just don’t look good.” He frowns, resting his chin on her shoulder. “I don’t like looking at them.”
She spreads his fingers out, pressing her lips all over his hand, adoring each spot that he finds to be unpretty. “It’s okay, Minee. They are perfectly imperfect.” She kisses the back of his hand one more time before using his arm as a pillow.
They spend the next few minutes in the same position, hearing the drip drops of the faucet and their combined breathing. He joins his hands together in her middle, swiping his thumbs against her stomach. He feels her tense a bit until she laughs.
“Ticklish?” He kisses a spot behind her ear as he giggles along with her.
Eden turns in his grasp, reaching her hand up to cup his cheek. She hovers her lips over his with a smile. He quickly pecks the tip of her nose, grabbing a handful of bubbles from behind her and spreading them over her back.
“You meant what you said about moving in, right?” Eden’s fingertips trace his bone structure on his shoulders.
“Always.”
She smiles, kissing him and feeling her stomach flutter as he drags a hand down her spine. Eden starts to imagine going to sleep and waking up next to him daily.
“You wanna know something else?” Seokmin speaks seductively next to her ear.
“Hmm?”
“Once we move in together, we’ll have tons of privacy.”
“Because we need lots of that.” She chuckles, leaving a kiss along his jaw.
“I think we deserve that at the very least.” His palm supports the back of her neck as he begins to nip at her lips. When he’s done enough teasing, he kisses her long and hard. “Don’t you wish we had more freedom like we’ve had these past few days?”
Tumblr media
The couple spent the rest of the morning packing their belongings, as well as picking up the house. They didn’t make too much of a mess, but they really just wanted to make housekeeping's job easier.
“Do we have everything?” Eden asked, blocking the sun with her hand.
“I think so. Wanna double check?”
They did one last sweep of the house, easing Eden’s mind. She always had a big fear of leaving something precious behind whenever they traveled.
Once the rental car was packed and loaded, Seokmin put the keys back into their box and walked back to the car where she was sitting in the passenger seat.
He laid his hand flat in the center, palm faced up. She smiled, grabbing his hand and squeezing as she looked out the window. He started to drive, watching how she waved goodbye to the house.
“Are you sad?” He shook their intertwined hands together, watching the road but also catching glances at her with every chance he got.
“A little. I don’t want this to end…”
“It’s okay baby. We’ll be back next year.” He brings their joined hands to his lips, pressing a kiss to the back of hers.
“I know, you’re right.” She looks over, her lips curving upwards.
“Wanna go for a walk on the beach before we have to go to the airport? We have a bit of time to spare.”
“Can we get a milkshake too?” Her eyes grew wide as she pushed out her bottom lip.
He smiles, unable to stop the snort he lets out. He never intends to ever tell her no, but he loves seeing the hopeful gleam in her eyes everytime. “Of course. Anything you want.”
They agree on one place they discovered on their first day in Busan, ordering two chocolate milkshakes to go. The beach was just a little walk from the cafe, so they parked their rental and started to stroll while sipping on their milkshakes.
“I don’t know how you drink cold stuff with the weather like this.” Seokmin held her hand as they walked in the sand, while he pulled his sleeve down to cover his bare hand from the cold drink.
“If it tastes good, then I don’t mind.” She smiled, squinting from how bright the sun was. She was mostly finished with hers, the two of them both snorting at the slurping sounds coming from her straw.
“I think you got it.”
“You never truly have it all.” Her smile fades and she looks up at him, hoping to mask the little sadness in her voice.
He notices the change in her body language immediately, giving her hand a squeeze that turns her skin white. “Look.”
“Hmm?” He lets go of her hand, crouching down to start drawing their initials in the sand.
Eden smiles and her heart flips in every direction. She uses his back for support, lowering herself down next to and leaning her head on his shoulder. She proceeds to draw hearts, big and small, around the letters. Whatever feeling she was feeling prior, it’s all gone now.
“We’ll be back.” He turns his head, placing a kiss on her temple. He flips the switch on his camera to take a picture of the scene before them. “I promise.”
She nods, flipping the hair blowing in her face behind her ear. “Okay.”
Tumblr media
“Hey,” Seokmin stroked the top of her head as the plane was about to land. She squinted one of her eyes open to see him looking down at her. She didn’t even remember falling asleep.
“Are we here?” She pulled her coat higher up to cover her shoulders.
“Yeah.” He reached around her, working to fasten her seatbelt. Then he started to stroke her cheek with his thumb to wake her up a bit more.
“I didn’t mean to fall asleep on you.” She stretched her arms, arching her back off the seat.
“Don’t worry. I know you need the rest.” He kissed her eyelid, searching for her hand under her coat.
They inevitably got stuck in traffic on the way home, filling the time they had left with small talk. They discussed what other things they would do the next time they visited Busan, restaurants and attractions. He told her about his schedules for the next few days, the girl feeling excited for him.
Eden held the door open for him, shutting it behind herself as he carried her luggage inside her dorm.
“We’re home!” She shouted as both of them changed out of their shoes. She grabbed his hand while he wheeled her suitcase into the main room.
They didn’t expect all of her members to be huddled up together on the couch, awaiting their arrival. He got shy, waving at the girls hesitantly.
“How was it?” Rosé was the first one to speak.
“It was so much fun.” Eden smiled, squeezing his hand and leaning against him.
“Let’s see it!” Lisa clapped her hands together, letting go of her legs that were to her chest.
Eden was confused, looking between the girls and her boyfriend. “See what?”
“About that…” He scratched the back of his neck, chuckling nervously.
Jennie raised her hand. “Seungkwan and I helped him pick out your ring.”
“You did?” Her jaw dropped, holding on tighter to his hand as she looked back and forth between them. “Did you?”
“I couldn’t remember your ring size, so I asked Jennie. I thought it’d be better the more help I had.”
Eden pouted, letting go of his hand and going on her toes to wrap her arms around his neck. “Minee…” She kissed his cheek before letting go, walking over to the couch and plopping down next to Jennie. She put her hand out, flexing her fingers as they all got a good look at the new ring on her finger.
“He really does have impeccable taste.” Jennie turned her head to smile at her. Eden’s face made her elaborate more. “He had three candidates and each one suited you so well. But this one, this one was made for you.”
Eden tried not to shed anymore tears, closing her eyes as she pursed her lips. She was so thankful to have her members and Seokmin. “Awe, I love you guys.”
“We love you too.” Jennie kissed the side of her head.
She looked back towards Seokmin, taking notice of him playing with the handle of her luggage awkwardly. She pushed herself off the couch. “Okay, enough ogling,” She reached for his free hand and dragged him back to her room.
Once he was in, she shut the door behind him and took her luggage from him. She stood it beside her bed, turning to pull him into her arms. He leaned down a bit to make it easier for her, clutching his wrist with one hand as they rested low around her waist.
“Thank you so much.” She murmured into his shoulder, squeezing him tighter.
“Of course. I love you.” He kissed her temple, rubbing his hand up and down her back.
“I love you more.” There was mischief in her tone, knowing just the right way to set him off.
“Oh no you don’t,” He lifted her by the hips, wrapping her legs around his waist as she squealed, holding on to him tightly. He sat them down on the edge of her bed, pressing his fingers into the fabric of her pants.
She pecked him on the lips, getting a good look at all his features. She smiled, looking into his eyes before his lips, then kissing him a bit longer. “You’ll make sure Vernon gets his present, right?”
“Yes, of course.” He nuzzled his face into her chest, hugging her and inhaling her perfume. “Did you have fun?”
“Fun is an understatement.” Eden brushed her fingers through his hair at the base of his neck, while she swept her thumb against his ear. “It was beautiful. We needed this.”
“Good, because we’re doing the entire thing over again next year.” He pressed a raspberry to her collarbone, making her squirm away from his lips.

Tumblr media
i took a deep breath as my arms were practically wrapped around myself. i stared at the star market sign and bit my lip, slowly stepping through the automatic doors.
i quickly made my way to the customer service counter, where i saw matt clocking out. he turned to me and his eyes immediately softened. "hey, y/n," he breathed, stepping towards me.
i smiled quickly and half-heartedly before taking his spot and clocking in.
"are you okay? you left real fast yesterday, and.. i don't know, chris said he tried to reach out and-"
"yeah, i fell asleep. i didn't feel good," i mumbled, biting my lip as i tried not to let any sadness show in my expression. i turned to matt and smiled softly. "sorry for leaving so sudden. i just felt.. unwell," i mumbled.
matt slowly nodded and smiled softly. "okay, if you insist... i just want to be able to be a friend to you, nick does too, and especially chris." he chuckled. all i could do was look at him, but it looked more like i was looking through him and spacing out. matt's smile fell as he sighed. "chris also mentioned that when you guys were sitting, he got a notification from-"
"damn, y/n is here again today?" maeve's voice rang as she set her bag down and practically shoved me to the side to clock in. "guess i gotta do everything around here today." she mumbled as she side-eyed me, and i bit my lip. i couldn't do this today.
"maeve, you can't talk to her like that, she's still learning." matt told her, softly but very clearly as he sighed and gathered his things. "y/n, if you need anything, or just somebody to talk to, please reach out, okay?" he asked, and looked at me for any form of response.
"right, yeah. thanks, matt." i breathed, and he smiled at my response before stepping towards the exit.
i turned to maeve and bit my lip as she scrolled through her phone and applied pink lip gloss against her lips. she was stunning, and i was a bit envious of her long, blonde hair. i closed my eyes and let out a sigh, looking at my phone. i was a bit surprised to see some messages from who i had been dreading to see all day, and who i had hoped would have left with matt.
from: chris⭐ hey y/n, hope your shift goes well
i shuttered as i looked up at maeve. what if she was actively texting him? i turned to look around the store the best i can, and i saw chris pushing some carts inside.
damn, he was really still here.
i let out a breath as i began to straighten up around my department, seeing as it was a slow day and maeve was no help.
-
i sat in the breakroom as i stared at the wall. no music played in my ears, and nobody else sat in the room with me. i simply stared at the wall for my break. i sat and thought about all of the glances i had passed to chris, and how many times i caught him looking back. i also watched him and maeve talk quite often, which would cause my heart to clench each and every time. it didn't make sense to me. why did he pretend to care so much about me when he clearly had maeve?
"hi chris!" maeve smiled brightly and leaned against the counter to be closer to him, who was just trying to walk by and pick up a box of items.
"hey, maeve," he breathed, and she practically squealed at him, causing me to turn my head the other day and practically wince.
"whatcha got planned tonight? did you wanna go out?" maeve asked, which resulted in some silence and a deep breath.
"i'm busy tonight." he mumbled.
my back was still turned as i went through another box.
"i'm taking my fifteen, maeve. i'll be back." i breathed before swinging around on my heel and shoving past them both.
and that was why i was sitting against this worn down couch, staring at the wall. it made no sense to me. none of it.
after about thirteen minutes passed, i sighed and stood up to begin collecting my things and getting ready to head back out.
the door swung open.
"y/n, hey can we talk?" chris breathed, and i turned to the sudden sound of the door opening. since it was silent in the room, it scared me a bit more than i would have liked to admit.
"my fifteen is up, sorry." i breathed and attempted to walk past him.
i felt a hand against my own, before i turned to chris and bit my lip. facing him was really hard. my eyes welled up almost immediately, and chris picked up on it very quickly. worry rushed through his expression.
"after we close. please?" chris asked, carefully letting my arm go. i slowly nodded before i pulled away. i stood for a few moments, looking at him, biting my lip and then walking back towards the exit.
"thank fuck. about time. what were you even doing in there anyway?" maeve spat, and i turned to her. this really was not the time for her to speak to me that way, and in fact, it never was the time. "i had to deal with literally four people when you were gone. all by myself. can you do something for once and clean the place up?"
i bit my lip as i stared at her. part of me wanted to confront her, call her out and tell her that she was no help and incredibly lazy. another part of me wanted to beat her ass right then and there, but the other part of me knew that if i started any work drama, i could potentially get fired and i should keep my mouth shut.
i took in a deep breath.
"i'll get on it," i replied, moving to grab a broom.
-
11:30pm. only thirty more minutes before i had to talk with chris in the parking lot. and only thirty more minutes that i had to deal with maeve any longer.
"y/n, these don't go here. god, do you do anything right?" she muttered as she pulled out a roll of receipt paper, and i stopped what i was doing. i carefully stood up and let out a soft sigh.
"sorry, maeve. nobody told me where those go." i responded under my breath.
maeve was sitting against the counter now, looking at herself in her phone camera and once again applying lip gloss to her lips.
i watched her for a few moments before going to grab a box. it ripped, and collapsed directly into my foot and caused a loud bang.
"ow, fuck," i breathed, biting my lip as i looked down at my foot, and then at the mess i had created. stupid box.
"y/n, are you kidding me? this just adds to the list of things we have to clean up. why are you so clumsy?" she asked.
i had enough.
"can you shut the fuck up?" i spat, causing her to cover her mouth in shock. i scoffed. "all you fucking do is sit there on your goddamn phone. i have done everything today, and you left me the other day. you haven't trained me yet you expect me to know everything around here. why are you such a fucking bitch?" i raised my voice, now visibly shaking with anger. my face was red, and i felt tears brimming my eyes. "i've worked like three shifts here and you treat me like this? name one thing you've done today." i questioned, and she visibly stuttered.
"absolutely nothing," a voice rang as i looked over and saw chris standing there. "she's done nothing but text me all day."
i cringed slightly. nice way to top it off.
"but chrissy-" maeve started, to which chris immediately stopped her.
"i told you to stop calling me that, it's annoying." he muttered before he stepped towards me and began picking some of the things up that i had dropped. my face scrunched a bit in confusion as i tried to piece together what he had said.
maeve seemed to hurt, but she put on a stupid face and quickly yet sloppily grabbed her things before she stomped away to clock out.
i took in a deep breath and sighed, looking over at chris who had now finished picking everything up. "thanks.. for doing that. you didn't have to." i mumbled, looking to the side.
chris didn't respond. he stood up and looked at me, smiling like a little kid. "that was fucking awesome, didn't know you had it in you to talk like that to someone, especially on the clock?"
i smiled shyly and looked down before rubbing my eyes and chuckling slightly. "she was just getting on my nerves..."
"she does for everyone, y/n. i promise. it's okay." he breathed, and i looked at him with a soft nod. "is your foot okay?" he asked, and i shrugged.
"it's fine, i guess. hurts, but i'll live."
"i'll walk you home." chris responded, very quickly, as i looked at him and smiled softly.
"whatever you say."
-
the air was kind of heavy, if i were being honest. it was hard to even think about everything that had happened in the last twenty-four hours.
"y/n?"
i turned to chris as he called my name, and bit my lip. it was time to finally talk about everything.
"can you tell me what's up? why you left so suddenly last night, why you haven't answered my texts, what's wrong?" he questioned, as i simply walked beside him and let out a deep sigh.
"i just..." i took in a deep breath. i stopped walking and turned to chris. "when i moved here, i thought i had nobody. some people would be excited for a fresh start, but i dreaded every moment here. i met you, matt and nick, and realized that things may not be so bad here. especially when i'm with you," i whispered the last part, looking down at my feet.
chris had stopped walking as well, looking at me and nodding softly as he listened closely.
"after we had hung out, i truly thought that maybe i saw you as something more, and when we sat together at your place, i kind of knew from there that i for sure had something more than just the friendly thought of you." i smiled softly, and he nodded, knowing where i was going. "i like you a lot chris, i did from the moment we walked together to mcdonalds and the feelings i had for you, i thought were mutual. but then you got that text on your phone from maeve, and-"
"y/n," he breathed, stepping towards me.
i bit my lip and looked up at him, and he immediately shook his head.
"no." he almost laughed out, and i tilted my head. nothing was funny to me right now. "i don't know how she got me number. genuinely. that's reason one as to why i don't like her. reason two, she's an asshole. and reason three," he smiled softly at me as he gently brushed a few loose strands of my hair behind my ear.
with a soft lean forward and a slight tilt of the head, chris had pressed his lips to mine. i closed my eyes and leaned into the kiss, smiling softly against him. he smiled as well before carefully pulling away and moving his hands to carefully grasp mine.
"i like you."
i smiled softly and looked up at him. as we stood on the sidewalk and stared at each other, i bit my lip and shyly looked down before wrapping my arms tightly around him. "i'm sorry.." i whispered, and chris chuckled.
he wrapped his arms around me and gently rubbed my back, carefully swaying us both. he rested his head on top of mine.
"don't be sorry. you had every right to be confused and frustrated." he gently pulled away and looked at me before he carefully took my hand in his.
our fingers intertwined, as we began walking again.
"let's get you home."

Changing Minds - Part 3
Tumblr media
Summary: Your long time work acquaintance Nick Fowler offers to take you to a fancy fundraiser as a way of cheering you up. He insists it's only as friends but when he sees you falling into the grasp of someone he knows is no good, he might change his mind on that.
Word Count: ~1800
Warnings: Implied violence and attempted murder. Please let me know if I missed any.
A/N: Reader is an older female (late 30's +). This is part of the Garbage Men AU. I'm not yet sure if this will be a full series or just a two part story.
Part 2 -- Part 4
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
You’re getting ready to take your lunch break but are stopped by a grumpy looking man carrying a manilla envelope.
“Are you Ms. Y/L/N?”
“I am,” you hesitate, trying not to look too long at his scars.
“I was told to deliver this to you, tell you it’s from a friend and that your safety depends on you reading it before you see Mr. Fowler again.” He holds out the envelope and, despite the confusion written all over your face, he doesn’t add any clarifying statements. The way his mustache twitches he clearly thinks you’re wasting his time by not taking it from him right away.
“Thank you, Mr….” your tone turns into a question as you take the envelope but he turns away without giving you any answers.
You sit back at your desk and open the envelope. Inside are all sorts of police reports, all violent crimes, and all involving Nick. You recognize the forms and the seals to know these are legitimate. You see his mugshots where he’s clearly been in a fight. You see photos of the people who lost those fights and shudder.
You’d seen Nick with some mild injuries, the occasional black eye, but you never figured him to be violent. He’d always seem too calm, cool and collected to hit someone. Yet the files in front of you begged to differ.
And you’re supposed to go out on a date with him tonight.
Tumblr media
As you're getting the manilla folder, Nick is cleaning himself up after another messy interrogation. He probably shouldn’t be doing this so soon before a date but Bucky’s been pushing for some intel and this was his best chance. It’s not like he was all that serious about the date, anyways. It was just fulfilling a promise to you and keeping that work relationship solid with the added bonus of keeping you away from Kent.
Curtis showed up at the Basement Studio with his cleaning equipment. Nick thought for a moment and asked, “Hey, Curtis, you got a minute?”
“Whatcha need?”
“I’m taking a lady out tonight. You got any special restaurants you take Teach?”
Curtis softens at the mention of his girl, “I’m not sure the restaurants we frequent would be up to your standards. We’re more into greasy spoon types of places.”
“Yeah, this girl is a bit classier than that.”
“How about Wilson’s new restaurant? Use your connections to get a table?”
“That could work,” Nick hums. “Give her a nice night at an exclusive place.”
“Hope it works out. It must be pretty serious if you’re asking me for advice.”
“Nah,” Nick dismisses with a wave of his hand. “Just promised to help cheer her up after some family shit happened. I need her happy so I can keep doing my job.”
“Does she know it’s just the one date? That it’s not feelings based?”
“Pretty sure.”
“You’re gonna wanna double check that,” Curtis chides. “I’d hate to have to send Teach after you.”
Nick chuckled a little, “I’ll make sure she knows before the date starts.”
Curtis nods, “good luck, then.”
Tumblr media
It’s time to clock out of work and go meet Nick but you find yourself hesitating. Stalling, you child yourself. You’ve known him long enough he at least deserved a chance to explain everything. If someone was trying to make you rethink your relationship with Nick, they were going to have put in more work.
Stepping outside you see Nick’s car and you start walking towards it. He gets out and moves to open the passenger door for you, a smile on his face.
“Hello, pretty Lady,” he greets. “I was starting to worry you wouldn’t be able to make it.” His smile drops when he sees hesitance written all over your face. “What’s wrong?”
You shake your head, “in the car, please.” As you sit he closes the door for you and paces to his own. When you’re both settled in you pull the manilla envelope out of your bag and hand it to him. “What is all of this, Nick?”
He opens the envelope and you see his face go from worried to ice cold anger. “How did you get these?”
“They were delivered to my desk this afternoon.”
“By whom?”
“Does it matter? Is your answer going to be different depending on who delivered them? I deserve an explanation regardless of their source.”
Nick takes a deep breath, eyes never leaving the reports in front of him. His brain kept trying to work out why someone would give you this. Well, reasons beyond souring your work relationship and hindering his own work as a result. He was so focused on the considerations and possibilities he didn’t hear you calling his name. It wasn’t until he heard your door slam shut that he snapped out of his reverie and realized he’d accidentally ignored you.
“Shit,” he mutters as he gets out of the car to follow you. “Y/N! Y/N, wait up, please!”
You pause your steps and turn to give him a stern look. “Oh, you’re finally willing to talk about this. How gracious of you.” He flinches at your tone and drops his face a little. “I’m going home, Nick. Good night.”
“Please,” he sighs. “I was caught off guard. I’ll give you all of the answers over dinner, I promise.” You hesitate so he adds, “at the very least I can promise you a free meal at a very exclusive but very good restaurant that just opened.” You raise an eyebrow. Encouraged, he continues, “and if I haven’t answered your questions to your satisfaction, you’ll never have to see me again.”
You nod, “okay. But this had better be a good explanation and some damn good food.”
Tumblr media
As Nick promised, the restaurant looks very nice and the smells from the kitchen are exquisite. The hostess takes you to one of the semi-private booths, blocked off with curtains. You’ve never been in such a high-class place and you feel a little under-dressed. Your eyes widen when you look at the prices on the menu.
“Nick, I can’t afford this place.”
“You’re here at my request,” he chuckles. “The least I can do is pay for your food and drink.” He looks into your eyes and sees your discomfort. “I mean that,” he pleads, his sky blue eyes softening. “Please don’t worry about the costs. I’ve got you covered.” You purse your lips but nod.
The waiter arrives for drink orders and you just ask for water. Nick gives you a look and you tell him you don’t know enough about wine to really know what to pick. He nods and orders water and a bottle of something with a way too long name.
As they leave you look back to the menu and confess, “I’m really not sure what half of these things are.”
“I’m pretty experienced with these kinds of things,” Nick assures. “If something sounds interesting let me know and I’ll see if I can remember what it is.”
You nod and start saying some of the names of dishes with Nick telling you some of the basics of ingredients and cooking methods for each. His knowledge of these things is quite impressive. When the waiter comes back with the drinks you order a Thai Pomelo Salad and Seared Tuna Niçoise. You hope it’s good. You’re upset with Nick but would hate to waste his money on food you don’t actually like.
As soon as the waiter leaves you sigh, sit up straight, and ask Nick, “so what do you have to say about those files?”
He nods, “I’m not gonna deny their legitimacy. I’ve done some bad things, had bad things done to me. It’s all part of my work.”
“I thought you were just a Private Investigator.”
“Yup,” Nick nods. “And it’s not all searching records and archives. It’s nice when that’s all I need to do for a job, but most jobs require talking to dangerous people. Sometimes it escalates.”
“Nick, I saw the photos of your victims,” you chide. “That’s not dangerous, that’s deadly.”
“That’s training,” he objects. His face is pained as he continues, “what the files don’t tell you is that I’m former CIA. And yes, I can provide proof of that. I had to learn a lot of combat, a lot of tactics, and a lot of…other things. I quit when I got figuratively backstabbed too many times by other agents looking to just climb the ladder. But you can’t just forget your training.” He pours himself a glass of the red wine and sips it before continuing. “Eddie hooked me up. He was a friend from college and he helped me find my steading here. Introduced me to the right people, warned me against the wrong people, and a lot more.”
You nod as you listen, expression softening as he talks about Eddie. “So all of those people that you hurt?”
“In every case they tried to hurt me first. Even if witnesses were paid to testify otherwise. I never strike first, I promise.” There’s an intensity in his face you’ve never seen before. His eyes almost seem to be changing shades of blue as a reflection of his emotions.
You bite your lower lip as you think. “Okay Nick,” you say after a bit. “I’ll trust you.”
The worry and hurt in his face fades to a soft smile of relief, “thank you. Now will you please tell me who gave you the files?”
Tumblr media
Nick gets back to his car after walking you to your door. You might not have known the identity of the man who gave you the folder but what you did know was enough for Nick. August Walker, known lackey in Kent’s conglomerate. He used to be higher in the rankings but got caught trying to kidnap some important person’s daughter. Cost him is rank and his looks.
Kent wants to turn you against him. Nick knows he’s been a thorn in Kent’s side for years but now you’re a risk. You’re a possible weak point in Nick’s armor and Kent’s not gonna stop until he breaks you, hurting Nick in the process.
Nick was supposed to make sure you knew that this was just a date as friends. That he was just keeping his promise, nothing more between you two. But during dinner he decided he needs to keep up the facade of interest. The closer he can keep you, the safer you’ll be. Especially after he gets you a bracelet with a tracker, just to be safe.

links to all my heartstopper fics!
hello! I am a fanfiction author! please enjoy links to all my 7 heartstopper (nelspring) fics so far. they’re all hyperlinked up at the fic title.
all of my heartstopper fics can be found here
memories painted in much brighter ink (4.1K, rated G, set in canon + light angst and healing)
“Nelson!”
Nick groans.
“I heard you got a boyfriend.”
“So?” Nick responds, and then he wishes he’d had the heart to make up a better comeback.
“I -” Harry fumbles. “I’m… happy for you. I think it’s, er, good.”
Harry Greene realizes how awful he's been to Charlie and Nick, and he apologizes to them after some deep thought and realization about what an cruel person he's been.
i like you inconveniently, you’re bringing out my dopamine (1.5K, rated G, set in canon)
“I think that’s because you have inner beauty,” Nick murmurs softly. “It’s not just your looks.”
Charlie really tries not to, but he blushes madly. “Dammit, Nick. That was so - ugh, so ridiculously smooth. Are you sure you don’t have this spell, too? ‘Cause I think I’m getting attached to you.”
“Well, maybe your magic’s rubbing off on me.”
Nellie yawns, clearly bored by the boys. They’re too busy flirting to pay any attention to her. The sheer nerve! She is the most important thing in any 一 no, in every 一 room!
can’t keep this beating heart at bay (2.0K, rated G, canon divergence)
Charlie laughs. “Sorry - you were telling me about teaching?”
“Yeah, I really like it so far! I’m a third-year, so I started getting some actual fieldwork to do recently.” Nick kicks a stone by the side of the road. “Your brother’s cute.”
“...Just my brother?” Charlie catches Nick’s gaze.
“You-” this is a disaster. “Listen-” This is a bisexual disaster, specifically. “I think you’re cute too.”
In which Nick is Olly's French tutor, Charlie has a crush on Nick, and Olly is so tired of watching these disaster gays try to flirt.
retriever? I hardly know her! (2.2K, rated G, dog walker AU)
'Oh god, oh god, he’s wearing rainbow shoes. Is he gay, or just extremely unaware that gay people exist?'
So there’s this boy. Man?
Boy? Fellow? Gent?
Cute Park Guy™ is either a professional dog-walker or someone with a large, bumbling group of pets. This is probably his day job; he plays tug-of-war with leashes and chew toys and, from time to time, Nick’s heartstrings.
In which Charlie is always at the dog park with a group of dogs, Nick is there with Nellie, and they both pine after each other softly from across the field.
it’s all an epiphany (0.7K, rated G, canon + light angst)
“Hey, weirdo,” Charlie whispers. “Whatcha doin’?”
“Oh! Hi. Sorry.” Nick rolls over between the comforters, hair on his legs grainy against them. “Dozed off for maybe two hours.” He smooths the longest curls back from Charlie’s temples and kisses there.
“Nghhh, Niiiick, go back to bed. That’s not enough time.” And, after a pause: “Are you feeling okay about David’s birthday coming up?” Charlie asks.
In which Nick despises his brother, even if they're only arguing in his head, and he falls even more in love with his boyfriend.
you make my dreams crumb true (1.8K, rated T, canon + wedding planning fluff)
“Hey, do I get to smash cake in your face at the wedding?” Charlie asks. He tries a slice of raspberry, closest to him. “Wow.”
“Depends, do I get to do it to you?”
Charlie gazes over Nick slowly. “Uh - yeah!” He’d misheard that at first. ‘You can do stuff to me after, too,’ he considers, except this is a public place.
In which Nick and Charlie try to pick a wedding cake flavour and flirt madly the whole time. Late-twenties Nick, unfortunately, still thinks bubblegum is tasty.
it’s an extremely rushed love story (baby, just say yes) (1K, rated G, fake engagement)
Dear god, this plan with Tao had spun wildly out of control. “You’re-” Tara sat down very slowly. “Engaged.”
Nick pulled her into a bear hug across the sofa. “And all because of you two!”
Darcy settled into the couch cushions as if they would fall apart if they hit the cotton too quickly. “Right.”
To get revenge on Tara, Darcy, and Tao for setting them up on a blind date they didn't agree to, Nick and Charlie pretend they're sickeningly in love and engaged.

Tumblr media
George had just met up with Nick in Orlando. But I couldn't let him off so easily for leaving me. I know I was being petty. I just love teasing them. And with George far away as well, that just made it all the easier.
Tumblr media
When I teased him before, there would be consequences. He would keep the punishments for when we met in real life. I wouldn't lie, I enjoyed the punishments every time.
But now, there are no consequences. I left the texts at that for now. Leaving him to wait in anticipation.
It was dinner time, so I strut into the kitchen. Waiting patiently for one of them to call me. They promised they would once they had all met up. While in the middle of mixing pancake batter, my phone started ringing.
💚 Clay 💚
Clay was calling me. With a giddy smile, I pick up. Turning on my cam for them.
"Hey, cuties!" I call out. Setting up my phone, so I could continue mixing the batter.
"Hey Y/n," the three of them call back.
"What are you wearing?" Nick sounds confused, making me stop mixing. Looking down at myself.
"I'm just wearing shorts and a crop top," I chuckle. "How does that confuse you? Do I not look cute?" I pout.
"You always look cute, Y/n/n," Clay says and I can hear the smile in his voice.
"Thank you, Clay," with a prideful smile I continue mixing.
"Whatcha making?" George asks.
"Pancakes, but let's stop talking about me," I stick out my tongue. "How was the meet-up? Tell me everything!"
"Well, first," George starts. "I got so lost in the airport," He chuckles, continuing his story, while I turn away from my phone for just a minute. Putting down the mixing bowl, I grab a ladle, placing it by the stove next to my phone.
"All you had to do was follow the signs, and you manage to get lost," Clay bullies George, I can picture him rolling his eyes. Though, I can't see it. My back is still facing my phone when I bend over. Shamelessly putting my ass on display for them, a tiny smirk playing on my lips. To my surprise, they stay silent as I grab the frying pan. Coming back up, I turned swiftly back to the stove. Wishing I knew what faces they were pulling right now.
"And then what?" I ask.
"Right, uhm, yes, then I got escorted by staff. They had heard that there would be a lot of commotion at the airport. So that was nice," George chuckles. "After getting my luggage, I found Nick. He had bought a stupid whiteboard-"
"Ha-ha-ha, at least I got something with your name written on it," Nick cuts him off. "But anyways, we then safely got to the car. Drove home, and I kid you not. These two were nervous as hell," he chuckles as the other two protest his claim. Making me giggle at the banter. Filling the heated pan with butter, waiting for it to melt.
"I think, I'll go ahead and believe Nick," I point my spatula at my phone, laughing cause I could already picture George looking offended. Clay probably too but I had no idea what he looked like.
"Clay was literally a bouncing ball in the house. He was nervous and excited," Nick continues. "George was nervous and very giddy."
"I'm not surprised," I smiled, pouring in the first amount of batter for the pancake. "I would be all of those, along with ... anxiety," I sing-song 'anxiety'. Chuckles coming from them.
"When you're finally here, we'll take care of you," Clay says reassuringly.
"God, I hope it's soon," George groans desperately. "Y/n, I need you here! I need you to keep me sane with these two."
"Excuse me!" Nick and Clay exclaim. Giggling, I put my first pancake on a plate. I listen to them fight it out as I put more batter in the pan. Then dressing up my pancake.
"I'm very impatiently waiting," I tell them, cutting into the 'fight'. "So impatiently, in fact, I may have packed a box or two already," I send them a grimace, before pouting. "I just wanna be there too," I whine softly.
"Soon," they promise me.
A week goes by. Sadly, still no visa for me. But in that week I got more than enough teasing in.
Y/n Hey Nick, you wanna see what I got? 👀 🧡 Nick 🧡 Of course, what did you get, darling Y/n 😈 I hope you're alone
Tumblr media
What do you think of my new thigh highs? 🧡 Nick 🧡 🤤 Look at you, darling So gorgeous Y/n put them on just for you 🧡 Nick 🧡 Aren't you just the sweetest 😏 If only I wasn't currently walking through IKEA with the others. Y/n Have I caused a little problem? 😏 🧡 Nick 🧡 Yes, but I'm wearing sweats So, I'm in luck But I hope you know how much trouble you'll be in when you're here. Y/n Is that a threat or a promise 🥵 🧡 Nick 🧡 You naughty minx You'll figure it out soon enough
I was seriously getting so impatient. We would call every night, but now I didn't get to see any of them on cam. They would always be in the same room when they called me.
One night they were even spam-calling me while I was ... busy.
💚 Clay 💚 is calling
ignores call.
💙 Georgie 💙 is calling
groans in frustration ignoring the call.
🧡 Nick 🧡 is calling
Sighing audibly, I swipe away from the porn. Answer the call.
"STOP CALLING ME!" I yell down at the speaker. It's followed by silence from them. The room just filled with my panting and the sound of my vibrator. Very much actively vibrating inside me.
"Is- is that-"
"Yes!" I cut Clay off. "I'll call back later, let me fucking fuck myself please!" I whine, so fucking desperate for an orgasm. Having been chasing that high for the past 5 minutes they've been calling me.
"Uh- yes," George answers hanging up the phone, or at least, I think he does. With a sigh of relief, I pull the porn back up. Hand slipping back to my vibrator. Slamming it inside me with the thursts the male makes in the video.
It takes just 5 more minutes before I finally reach my high. Dropping my phone next to my head. Panting heavily, I twitch as I take the toy out. A squeak leaves my lips when it accidentally rubs against my clit.
"Shit, that was hot," my eyes widen at the unexpected voice. A voice I immediately recognize as Nick's.
"Are you serious," I mutter breathlessly. "You know what, fuck you guys, no call tonight," reaching for my phone, I ignore their protests. Hanging up the phone.
I can't believe they stayed and listened to me masturbate. If I had realised that would have been so much hotter. I wouldn't have even needed the porn. They could have talked me through it. Tell me what to do. I would even willingly turn on my cam. Show them exactly what I was up to.
I doubt they would agree with that tho, all together that is.
Y/n So, did you enjoy hearing me, last night? 🙄 💚 Clay 💚 Baby, hear me out I may have stopped George from hanging up I just couldn't pass up such an opportunity 😏 Y/n So you let the other two hear it too Maybe if you called me privately 💚 Clay 💚 Maybe what? Y/n Maybe I would have answered Let you listen to me 👀 💚 Clay 💚 God those pretty noises you make They are still playing on repeat in my head Y/n Yeah? 😏 Liked it that much? 💚 Clay 💚 How could I not? You are so gorgeous in every way Y/n What about this?
Tumblr media
Am I gorgeous in this? 💚 Clay 💚 Is that new? Y/n It is 😊 It reminded me of you, so I bought it 💚 Clay 💚 It looks beautiful on you 🤤 Bring it Y/n I will 💚 Clay 💚 Good Cause I'm gonna fuck you in it 😈
In the next three weeks, I had multiple late-night calls with all three. Separately, sadly. I listened to their commands, masturbating to their wishes. Hearing them fap on the other side. It was honestly, so hot.
"Pull your shirt up," Nick would say. "Slowly, make them titties bounce."
Tumblr media
"Awh, are you wearing those just for me?" George's voice is surprisingly deep. "Spread those thighs for me, love."
Tumblr media
"Bounce that pretty ass for me, baby," Clay's voice sounds so raspy when says it. It sends delicious chills down my spine.
Tumblr media
Finally
Fucking finally, my visa arrives.
7 weeks after George left for America. It's finally here. It arrives early in the morning. 9 am to be precise. It's literally midnight for them. Do I care? No, not really.
Midnight their time, I'm spam-calling the group chat.
"Answer the fucking phone, idiots!" They end up not answering. Huffing in frustration. I end up posting it to Twitter before they even find out. Of course, I first called my parents about the news. Mom was able to leave her job early. Lucky her for having a good bond with her boss. Dad sadly couldn't get off, but he would definitely be there tomorrow.
y/u/n - 1m The idiots wouldn't wake up. So you guys are the first to know. I GOT MY VISA!
Not long after I posted the tweet, mom arrives. She's come with empty boxes upon empty boxes. Even though I wasn't taking everything with me. For the next few hours, we are running through the house. Gathering the most important stuff that I needed to take. Clothes for at least a few days go into my suitcase, along with other necessities.
Mom spoke so lovely about this entire situation. I was kinda surprised. When I first told her about this plan she was very hesitant. She was worried for me, which I understood. I would be moving thousands of miles away. To live with three boys that I met on the internet. She had spoken to them before but for all we knew, that could all be fake.
But when she had gotten more used to the idea. Noticed how much fun I had with these boys. She started getting to know them herself. She obviously knew George, but Nick and Clay were an entirely different story. She basically did an entire background check on them. How you might ask. Well, when she came over months ago, we were baking a cake for dad's birthday. While we were busy, they ended up calling. I was going to decline, but she told me to answer them. I couldn't even get a word in before she went ahead. Introducing herself and immediately asking questions. It overwhelmed them a bit, but they too understood the concern. They promised her they would take good care of me. Which that helped my mom calm down from her own worries.
"Have you booked a flight yet, then?" she asks me. We were currently in my bedroom. Throwing clothes, either on the bed or into a suitcase. Mom was folding them neatly, while I decided which went where.
"No, not yet," I tell her. Throwing a beautiful sundress into my suitcase.
"Hun, you should wear it on the day of the flight," she says, taking the dress out of the suitcase. "You'll make them swoon," she wiggles her eyebrows teasingly.
"Mom!" I gasp, giggling at her actions. "They are just friends," she hums like she doesn't believe me. Putting the dress back on a hanger. She stands up and hangs it on the closet door.
"I still think you should wear it."
"Alright, I'll wear it," I give in with a fake annoyed sigh. "But, yeah, I haven't booked a flight yet. I need them to be awake for that. They need to be able to pick me up."
"And they still haven't called back yet?" she asks.
"No, they are probably stil-" my sentence is cut short when my phone starts to ring. My mom is quicker than me. Grabbing my phone from the bed. She answers the call, putting it on speaker.
"Well, good morning Nick, did you have a nice sleep?" she asks kindly, having read his name on the contact. Though I can't help but giggle. Already imagining the confused look on Nick's face.
"Good afternoon, Mrs y/l/n," Nick answers, soon followed by the same greeting from the other two.
"Oh, you're all here, how wonderful," Mom talks with delight. "Did you hear the news yet?"
"Ah, no, we just woke up," Clay answers.
"What the news," George asks curiously.
"Oh, George dear, it's so good to hear your voice," I palm my face, which she notices. "Anyways, my daughter dearest has finally received her visa."
"Really!?" Clay's voice is filled with disbelief but excitement.
"Yes, I can't believe you guys ignored my calls," I pout, not that they could see.
"We're sorry," Nick apologizes sincerely. "Who else have you told?"
"Twitter," my mom answers quickly. Almost rubbing in the disappointment she has on my behalf. George audibly sucks in a breath. "But it's alright, as long as you promise to take good care of my angel."
"We promise! 100%," Clay promises wholeheartedly. "Cros my heart and hope to die."
"Good," she says sternly. "Now, I'll give you my daughter. You guys can go discuss a flight," she hands me my phone, standing up from the bed. "I'll be in the kitchen making us some tea, alright?"
"Thanks, mom," I smile, sending her a kiss as she leaves.
"Yeah, yeah," she says, closing my bedroom door behind her. Taking the phone off speaker, I put it against my ear.
"Surprise," I tell them. The line is instantly filled with chaotic screams. They are talking over each other. Here and there I can catch onto a few sentences.
"George, go look up flights," Nick.
"Her room is not ready!" Clay exclaims.
"8pm flight?" George.
"Guys, calm down," I giggle. The screams slowly coming to a stop. "Look, I'm not packed. Mom is a big help and my suitcases are almost ready. But I still have my entire setup to pack and organize for safe shipping-"
"Don't worry about your setup," Clay cuts me off. "We'll get you a new one here."
"I- Clay, that's going to cost me a fortune."
"Y/n, I said we. It's going to be fine. All you have to worry about is the flight. Anything else that does not hold important value to you. We can buy here."
"I-," I huff a sigh, contemplating as I look around my room. "I need to go through more of my stuff first. Can I call you guys back at like, dinner time, my time?"
"Of course, take your time. We'll be one call away at any time-"
"Beside midnight for some reason," I cut Nick off, fake annoyance lacing my voice.
"We said we were sorry!" George says making me giggle.
"I know, I'll talk to you guys later, okay?"
"Yes, good luck packing. If you have any questions on what you do or don't have to bring, just message us okay?"
"I will, see you soon," I grin before hanging up. A content sigh leaving my lips. It's finally happening.
