need ross family lore. i’ve been tweaking out about this since i started watching the show. they make little off-hand comments about mike’s parents that they NEVER ELABORATE on.

I honestly really dislike the framing Maria Ross subplot. Like there are way too many military characters as is, she should not have gotten this much story attention because she was not a strong clear character before it, and it just makes everything more convoluted. Character-wise, obviously Mustang is a good guy who wouldn't be written as killing someone due to mistaken identity. And there's so many moving pieces by now that come together in this little arc already.
Actually, while I'm taking some time to complain: while I haven't actually seen 03, I think giving the Tuckers more than literally one chapter has to be an improvement.

Nothing fucks me up more than a story where two deeply fucked up people find acceptance and understanding for the first time in eachother because they are both mirrors to eachothers corruption and one of them goes. It's okay, you're not a monster. to me.

Summary:
Ed thought calls on his (slightly dubious) skills as a child-minder would be limited to his job nannying Elicia. That assumption is proved false when a new opportunity to further his uni research gives him two unexpected new friends. Of course, because Ed's luck is the way it is, that's not the only unexpected surprise that is flung his way, but it is the nicest one by a very wide margin.
