This was an WIP comic from last year, and i finally got it done now.

I was confused on what game they would play on the last panel. One idea was DnD, but i don't understand how the game works, so i settled with UNO.

so i had an idea for an upply fic where they do an RPG to pass the time down in the caves. here’s a snippet!

plundar had kept a tally of every significant sleep cycle. he would draw a line on the wall for every period slept away, and in this way, their estimated first year anniversary of being trapped in the abyss did not go unnoticed. 

“well, it seems we have a very special quest ahead of us!” fungus proclaimed proudly, adjusting the enormous brim of his hat. “you say that every time,” korgran pointed out plainly, folding his arms. “and it’s always true!” fungus winked dramatically at him, earning a small smile from the brute. 

“but this one is a special special quest. because today is a very special day!” 

plundar grimaced. “don’t remind me.” he muttered. 

“korgran fails to see how today is worth celebration.” korgran added skeptically. fungus sighed. “yes, i realize the circumstances are horrific. but there is a bright side,” and he learned forward for effect, “at least i’m trapped in this horrid place with my two favorite people.” 

adam trilled grumpily from where he clung sprawled in his hammock of web. 

“yes, and my favorite spider too, of course.” he added with a grin. plundar sighed softly, tossing a glance in adam’s direction. “why don’t you come over here and act like you like us or something, huh?” he joked, to which adam remained silent. 

“oh well, guess you will just miss out on the special quest.” korgran chimed in helpfully. that got adam’s attention. within moments he was crawling from his web and skittering down to plundar’s side. 

“just make sure he doesn’t eat anymore pieces,” fungus said under his breath, which everyone heard perfectly well. “c’mon, that was one time - give him a break.” plundar pointed out, stroking adam’s fuzzy abdomen. 

“that was ten hours of my life thrown down the drain, but the past is the past, i suppose.” fungus corrected begrudgingly, tapping his crinkled papers on the stone pad.

Ninjago Space AU - Part 01

Because I've been thinking about this all week, and since I really haven't gotten the chance talk about week because work has driven me to the point of hiring an attorney for attempted bribery, I'm going to vent some headcannons from an AU that I've been thinking about for ages!

The whole thing kicks off because Dr. Borg got the bright idea after Project: Arcturus (where the dark Nindroids built a rocket to go into space).

It took him years (especially because he was constantly being either attacked, kidnapped or dealing with a constantly changing government) but he eventually managed to build a full-scale prototype to launch!

He tried getting clearance to launch his craft from everyone, but in the end, he just ended up launching it on his own because of how dysfunctional Ninjago is at this point!

He did eventually get a ton of help from other nation-states, like Shintaro for raw materials and Metalonia for technical supplies and industrial equipment.

The launch of his prototype test vehicle caught everyone off-guard, and very, very nearly started another world war! (Although to be fair, he had sent everyone single government he knew of a memo about it).

Queen Vania managed to defuse the situation by pointing to the memo and announcing that anyone who tried to start a war would have to deal with her. (No one knows how deep or far her tunnels go, and having the ninja on her side also gives everyone pause over their big red war buttons).

The flight is a success, and his pilots (Pixal, Kai and Jay), even manage to get the ship's FTL drive to kick on and make it to the moon's orbit! (They had to because of a homing nuke that was launched at them by the Ninjago military).

They do make it back safely, but neither Pixal nor Vania are having any of the Ninjago Military's BS, and threatens a coup if they don't back down!

They eventually do, and through a TON of political negotiations, Dareth of all people, get's named as the joint fleet Admiral for Ninjago's (as in the planet's) new space navy!

Dareth was only chosen because he was the only ally of the ninja who didn't have any obvious political agenda. The Upply were also appointed as a part of his board of high command.
