Rescuing him. Putting himself between wwx and any danger (madam yu/wen soldiers)#And even the staged fight. It's yk. Staged #jc wanted to protect wwx at any cost. But wwx wasn't willing to compromise. But jc did #The fight was wwx's idea. Because jc is an enabler (just like jfm and jyl)#jc is ready to bend for his loved ones sake #The point is. Every action jc takes. Is in the name of his loves ones' safety. And surprise. wwx is one of the people jc really cares about #Even after wwx' return. Aside a broken cup. jc isn't doing much to stop wwx or anything. We know that jl was able to free wwx from Zidian #only because jc - Zidian's primary master- wanted it!#And jc fling himself into danger countless times to save wwx even though wwx can't sit still with him for a hot minute #What I wanted to say it's that the jc is presented to us - the mean ungrateful man- is very different from the real jc -#the indulgent uncle who rolls his eyes at his nephew antics. the brother who buries the hatchet for his sister's happiness.#the uncle who kinda wants to help wn to get up from the floor because he was an ass to jc but he helped jl and that's what matters to jc #the sect leader who let two women speak freely their mind in a patriarchy society #People better than me have already said this. shit I can't remember my point lmao #Like. jc is presented as an antagonist but what this man wanted was an apology and an explanation #This post is a mix of a rant I wrote last year (ha) after seeing a bad take. #p4 #persona 4 #p4g #hanamura yosuke #yosuke hanamura #anyone that says yosuke is nothing but mean and awful to Kanji should meet me in the parking lot #we're not going to throw hands im just going to show you my 100 slide powerpoint presentation on their complex dynamic #for me one of the most appealing things about yosuke is how human and realistic he's been written #he is simultaneously capable of immense empathy and care towards his friends while at the same time struggle with his own identity #combined with a difficultly in self expression that results in him making tactless and hurtful remarks at times #thats not to say it makes those remarks ok - far from it!#but i think reducing yosuke to just those remarks makes him a rather empty caricature #which is such a shame especially considering that his entire personal narrative arc has been about confronting himself so he can be better #but anyway yes he cares about his friends he cares about their well being so much #he didnt have any obligation or a responsibility to look out for his juniors but he did so anyway without anyone asking #and it's so!!! because kanji does not look like he needs babying at all. hes taller than both yosuke and yu and he looks way older too #kanji has taken care of biker gangs by himself and is known to be intimidating #not that any of that fazes yosuke? kanji is his friend now hes one of them and therefore yosuke immediately wants to look out for him #god hanamura yosuke you so!!!#AAAAAAAAH #he's good with his queue

Evil HERO Neos Lord

When I talked about the recent Yubel card, I mentioned it being a love letter to GX. This card is similar to that; it's just the evil version. (Also more potentially spoilery, if I'm being honest). For those unaware, this card features Neos sporting The Supreme King's outfit to awesome effect. So many little details from his outfit were transferred over here that it's wild; the purple gem on his chest and the two red triangles pointing towards it look like the clasp for his cloak, the gold detail on his torso matches up with the way his coat is buttoned (which the black markings on his thighs/crotch are meant to mimic) and even the non-mask part of his helmet making an appearance as more of a neck guard. The SK's mask meshes so well with how Neos' face normally looks, right down to the diamond shaped gem on both their foreheads. Again, like Yubel and Flame Wingman, I'm genuinely surprised this combo didn't come up earlier. The similarities in design are just so remarkable that they mesh together perfectly. Evil Neos does get to take it up a notch beyond the SK by transforming his cape into a flared wing look with the inclusion of wing-like structures sprouting from behind his shoulders. I'll be honest... I think this is my favorite version of Neos now. No it's not just the red/black/white/gold color scheme but... That does help a lot. Also, normally the extremely detailed, American comic book style muscles bother me on Neos cards but here? They don't really register to me at all, because I think the black coloration helps hide them.

Yuma and Astral in episode 6

#this is one of the scenes that had me screaming #I remember watching it for the first time and thinking “Oh. He cares about Astral actually”#I was already in love with their relationship and this moment cemented my feelings for them #The way Yuma is looking at Astral with a relief expression #and then his smile after he understands that Astral is okay #Yuma acts like he doesn't care about Astral but actually he was worried about him #meanwhile Astral is unfazed although he became an egg and nearly died #he immediately returns his attention on the duel #(even if he never stopped to pay attention to the duel while he was in the egg)#I love how you can see clearly Astral's silhouette returning to his usual pose after regarding his strength #and I also love how gentle Yuma's voice is when he asks Astral if he is okay #This scene always gives me warm and fuzzy feelings of comfort and nostalgia #and of course also a lot of emotions about this two but when this doesn't happen?#Yuma and Astral always warm my heart #astral zexal #astral yugioh #yuma tsukumo #zexal #yugioh zexal #ygo zexal #yu gi oh zexal
