"Soundcheck in five! where the fuck is Eddie?!"

Eddie Munson was everywhere. Because somewhere in this fucking venue, there had to be a spare set of earplugs. He kept asking around, everyone had their own noise-canceling headphones on, but someone told him about spare cheap foam plugs in the green room.

He burst in there, grabbed a handful, and was now running around leaving a trail of neon foam pieces behind, searching for something better. He inevitably runs face-first into Chrissy's clipboard. 

"Eddie!" She grabs his shoulder in a vice-tight grip, her manicured nails surely leaving a bruised indent in his skin. "We need you for sound check!"

"Well, I need ear protection for Steve, because he's being stupid!" he huffs back, and her glare softens. 

Her eyebrows crease together while she holds his vibrating form anchored to their plane of existence.

"Did you check the green room?"

"Yes!" He waves the fistful of earplugs, and it's a good thing they're best friends, because he'd get decked otherwise. 

"Try the security room, I'll check with roadies."

He nods, and they move in separate directions, each with their own quest.

"Do the sound check without Eddie, something came up but he'll be there asap," Eddie hears Chrissy's voice in his ear. Sometimes, he wishes they didn't have unfortunate homosexual crushes on their friends so that they could become the perfect unproblematic heterosexual power couple. But alas. Steve and Robin existed and were fucking hot. 

Eddie was about to interrupt the broad men clicking through camera footage when he heard someone yell:

"Sir! Mr. Munson!"

And he turned his head to see a green-haired guy waving at him. He wears the same walkie and ear equipment as the rest of the staff so he takes a step back to look at him inquisitively. The guy waves a pair of headphones in the air and Eddie perks up with hope. 

"Heard you were looking for some ear muffs. I carry them around in case of panic attacks," he says once they reach each other. Eddie hesitates. 

"Are you sure it's okay?"

The man shrugs. 

"Just give them back to me at some point. I'm CJ, the staff knows me." He pushes the earmuffs into his hands. 

"Okay, shit, thank you so much!" Eddie grins, squeezing his arm in thanks. "I'll make sure they get back to you!"

And then he's off to find Steve. 

Steve, the lovely dumbass who said he doesn't need earplugs, he'll just take his hearing aid off. 

But Eddie needs him to hear the 'I love you' he's going to say once he grows a pair.

Okay so in this post, you said this of Scar & Grian: Highway robbers. Specialize almost exclusively in armed robberies, but take commissions every now and there

I don't know if thats just the aUtism tm but i read this as "they specialize in armed robberies but sometimes take commissions where the robbery is NOT armed as a lil challenge" little to add to that, this was a very funny image this conjured in my brain. Ok but seriously, what did you mean by that? What else are they doing with their time? Are the commissions specifically NOT robberies? Like infiltration sneaky spy stuff?

by commissions i mostly meant contract killing, to be honest. Its not something Grian really does, but Scar has his bounty hunter sniper experience and Grian doesnt mind helping him with a hitman buisness for some extra money

a bit more in depth info about both of them below. Bonus Grian headshot as i already posted the bounty hunter Scar drawings... he has normal goggles and noise-cancelling earmuffs

Scars bounty hunting experience really is very handy to both of them; Grians main speciality (other than hobbyist illegal racing, i suppose) are robberies and all sorts of explosives-related buisness. His earthian upbringing made him a great thief, his first years in space made him great with explosives, but its Scar who really made him a great high-stakes highway robber. When Scar first joined him, Grian wasnt nowhere near Pearls bounty yet, being freshly out of earthian organized crime and trying to become someone in the new space world (a fun fact is, he was pretty popular in illegal racing circles. Its something he picked up really fast and likes to do). Scar on the other hand had years of experience fighting crime, but was pretty new and naive when it came to being a criminal himself; what doesnt help is that its a choice he made by himself and not a consequence of something bigger, like in Tangos case. He was just dissatisfied with centralized bounty hunting and the way everyone treated him, to a point where he decided to not only leave but also turn against them. While he isnt great at it first, he knows how hunting works and what to avoid, keeping himself and Grian safer. His knowledge is what saves Grian after his encounter with Martyn (Grian finds the tracking device Martyn put on his ship and destroys it; something Tango doesnt do when the same thing happens to him near the finale, which leads to everyone getting captured). Not to mention Scars extreme proficiency with riffles and bows is what makes these robberies truly possible in the first place; they are a great duo. Through Scar Grian also met Cub, who isnt a criminal himself, but doesnt mind helping Scar with whatever he needs, and is a tech guy to them in a way (before Cub, Grian only had Mumbo, who doesnt exactly... understand the criminal world. I really need to draw his ship at some point its so extra and fun. But this isnt about him)

At some point both of them went into specifically highway robberies. When i say highway i want you to imagine something like the astral gates from cowboy bebop; literal circular "gates" in space that allow to travel through space in a much shorter time. Grian and Scar usually attack their targets in strategic places between the guarded gates. Its worth mentioning that the reason theyre doing a fairly risky kind of robbery is that they need the money to pay back Doc; so much so that they actually try to rob a space train, which is the thing they needed Tangos help with

She's finally here !!!

Meet Mar Muñoz aka Pink-Spider, the spider from Earth-1410.

General info:

• She was bitten by a pink crab spider at 16, a few months after moving to NY with her mom.

• She's originally from Chile and lived most of her life there. She speaks (chilean)spanish and english.

• Apart from the general spider powers, she's also able to camouflage! (Because of the type of spider she was bitten by). She also made her webs to have a pink color.

• Her style of fighting is a bit messy/clumsy, often leaning more towards reckless fighting, but can be surprisingly a good strategist. One of her strengths is being very agile. She can also be very sneaky when she wants to.

• She was recruited by Hobie to join the society after meeting in a fight against an anomaly in her universe. Has mixed feelings about the society and canon events (I'll probably make another post where I go more in depth about this).

• The earmuffs were made to also be noise cancelling headphones, so she often has a playlist on when fighting. Also helps when she feels overwhelmed by external noise.

• Says it wasn't love at first sight (she doesn't believe in that) but absolutely had a huge crush on Hobie the moment she met him.

Makoto is someone who can't go to sleep if it isn't dead silent because of how distracting noise is, and Kyoko is someone who needs white noise so that she isn't kept awake by her own thoughts. They take turns every night accommodating each other; Makoto wears noise-cancelling earmuffs while Kyoko gets to leave the tv on one night, and the next night Kyoko wears headphones to listen to rain/wind sounds to let Makoto get unobstructed silence

| ofc! since I'm in a mood I'll be doing wally AND frank bc I haven't seen much x readers of him and frank is just...great to me I hope these are to your liking! |

- wally is one of the best people to be around if you end up being in a loud place and need to calm down. his solution is to cover your ears with his own hands and stare at you as if to distract you from the noise.

- if he's able to he'll try to keep you away from anywhere loud unless you're wearing headphones or earmuffs to cancel out some of the loud noise.

- if you start hyperventilating and shaking because of the loud noises he always tries to gently hold your hands , take you to a quiet place and gently hush you as he reassures you that everythings going to be okay.

- he avoids making loud noises himself since he's a tad sensitive as well but he doesn't want to startle you while you're over so he'll even ask about what loud sounds trigger you or even puts on a record in the living room to distract you while he either cooks or bakes.

- frank isn't the quickest thinker when it comes to you reacting to loud noises but his solution is to quickly distract you by talking about a interest of yours. (he does this because since he gets the same way you do it distracts him so hopefully it'll distract you)

- now if it only gets worse he does about the same thing wally dose which is cover your ears and make you focus on him instead of the world around you.

- now his solution is to just not go anywhere. yeah that seems almost aggressive but sometimes he can't stand social interact so he stays inside and bakes or sits and reads. so he just invites you over to join him!

- if you do decide to stay at his place instead of going to an event he'll sit down and ramble about some facts about butterflies and even ask if you wanna make some fruit cakes with him. he always gets excited and stims whenever you agree because its just more time to spend with his amazing partner.
