You can’t solve the problem if you do not address it. Some of us have been fighting our whole lives for approval that we will never receive. Some of us need to stop emulating and imitating the lives of others and live in our own form of greatness. Everyone is not meant to be everywhere, have everything and do just about anything that everyone else does. I had to learn that certain things were meant for me and that other things were not in my favor. I have changed myself many times so that I would seem more fitting for my current (at that time) situation, only to figure that in losing myself(the entity that transcends value) to gain fickle approval from those whom had no good intentions for me(making my efforts valueless). My life started to have more meaning when I realized the difference in what was real and what simply looked really nice. I have hurt myself and others in the process of coming to this realization. I also realize that I must repent of my infantile mind state and help others to see the good within themselves and bring their inner light into fruition. Accepting myself. I have my first session of EFT last night (boy that was powerful) following on from a weekend of submerging myself into extreme heat and cold, it's safe to say I'm shifting. So much is coming to the surface for me! I'm finding that the last few days have forced me to look at areas that I have been running from for years, running from my darkness, my pain. I abandoned my pain and therefore that means I abandoned myself... I abandon the girl inside who didn't receive what she needed growing up just like the people who raised her. I've treated myself like others had treated me and in turn have caused even more of my own suffering. I abandoned myself. I ignored my cries, my yearning, my desire for connection. No more can i run. Nor want to. I'm finding the fragmented pieces of self I've discarded and welcoming them home to my vessel. I'm turning in. Self indulgent sulk alert. So I was supposed to be running the 1/2 Marathon at the beginning of Dec, followed by the full in Jan. This is the first time I’ve actually felt my training has been going ok. Last week I got a strange pain in my ankle I put down to a minor strain. I rested a week & went back out today having to stop after a paltry 3km. 2 MRI’s later & it would seem the total destruction of my knee is what’s causing the pain in my ankle. My ankle is pretty ok in the grand scheme of things.. I have a flipped medial meniscus, a torn lateral meniscus, a bit of something floating about.
