Ramadan Reminder

Eid Al Fitr is only 21 days away, and as a person who does not practice Islam, I would like to talk to other non-practitioners.

A reminder!!!!! If you see a person praying in public, DO NOT WALK IN FRONT OF THEM unless they have a solid object in front of their prayer mat. This can sever their connection to Allah.

Don’t ask people practicing Ramadan insensitive questions like are you hungry or are you thirsty. Their month of fasting is important to them and we should allow them the space and grace of their faith.

Also do not judge if you see a person eating or drinking during the day during Ramadan. They may be menstruating or pregnant or elderly or prepubescent or physically or mentally ill or maybe they did it on accident (which is considered a gift from Allah).

A thread:-2 Shahbaz, a student of SN College was speaking to his girl classmate (Hindu) hails from his village, when members of Hindu Jagaran Manch men caught them. They abused & dragged Shahbaz by his collar asking why you were talking to a Hindu girl? What is your business? They took him in the parking lot of a mega mart located across the street. After assaulting, filming him, they threatened him not to talk to her again. And allegedly forced the girl, her family to lodge a molestation case against him. The next day, Shahbaz lodged an FIR against unidentified HJM men for assaulting while he was talking to his classmate. Kotwali Police lodged the FIR but didn't act although preparators are well-known criminals who target inter-faith friends. Similarly, they also assaulted a Muslim man drinking cold drink with a friend at a popular shop of city on Jan 8. When video surfaced two weeks later, Muslims met with SP Vivek Singh demanding action. In reply, SP Khandwa assured to arrest HJM men invoking stringent sections. The urge to make Orion and Zach use these phrases bc they grew up in muslim households so theyre used to these phrases being said or saying them

They use them less in SC because they dont know how other Shadows would feel/react to it bc of how terrible/stereotypical muslims get potrayed in western media but sometimes on missions where there are only 2 of them, they would use it for shits and giggles

ive complained about this a teeeeny bit before it’s so embarrassing to see this new wave of haram police on social media w the sole intention of judging others and being misogynistic under the guise of religion or whatever. literally insane that u cannot wear a hijab and have an online (or social in general but let me not get into that) presence unless ur face is blocked out and preaching some religious shit (most of which is shaming ones hijabi siblings for not being “religious enough”). like it’s never truly about how covered up one is because they’re never satisfied. there was this little thing that went around once that was like posting TikTok’s/reels with music is a major sin. or that one that was like posting ur face as a hijabi & expression of the hijab through fashion is “just as bad as not wearing it at all”. CRAZXYZYYY like for One who the fuck asked you. two all that rhetoric does is push people away from the religion. or towards the belief that muslims must be perfect or theyre not muslim. and then suddenly it’s shocking when they abandon the religion. that they’ve been cast out from regardless. the Islamic community holds its people to this impossible impossible standard of perfection and then acts like it’s the western world that’s corrupted them when they try to express themselves in any way. your women are not being brainwashed by the western world, they’re utilizing the bare minimum right of expression that you convinced them doesn’t exist for centuries.
