A mythological and Pop culture run down of Ammit and her associations. (Based on my experience with her)

Ammit: Crocodile headed goddess of death and the scales of justice / Truth

Associations: Associated with Entropy, Death, Spirit Work, Justice, Afterlife Rites, Protection, Vengeance.

Appearance: her usual depiction, her moon knight depiction and then she has a human form to me that resembles isis

Symbol: Scales of Justice/ Truth

Animal associations: Salt water crocodiles, Nile crocodiles, (crocodiles in general), Alligators, Lions, Hippos.

Colors: Gold,  Greens, Browns, Yellows and Oranges (Ties to Sekhmet)

Titles: Lady of the Duat, Bringer of Justice, Eater of Hearts/ Man

Insense:  Jasmine, Dragons Blood, Myrrh

Other offerings: Salt water, Sand meat and bread based foods- traditional, dark red wines or nonalcholic colored drinks (needs to be red or red is preferred), menstrual blood, obsidian stones, blood stones, moonstones

Herbs: Hibiscus, Rose, (anything associated with death and or protection)

Tarot Card: Judgment, The Star. 

Note: Ammit, like Sekhmet is balanced out with Anubis or Tarweret. 

Worked with at any period that is a transition: i.e. new moon into full moon ect.

(so like any period of the moon just starting to enter a new moon or full moon phase of thats confusing- riiiight when it's almost a new moon or full moon but not quite)

Note 2.0: I personally use her Funko pop for a figurine and she seems to absolutely love it

Update: October 2023: actual organ offerings such as beef or chicken hearts are acceptable, blood magic/ offerings are acceptable (only if you have an understanding of the pros and cons of such magic and it is a practice you are comfortable with)

there are exactly two times i’ve drunk alcohol 1) when i went to a club with my flatmates and they annoyed the fuck out of me and i had like two sips of some drink and then gave it to one of my flatmates and 2) friday at this show bc there were no nonalcholic drinks and so i got the bartender to recommend something and i was so anxious the whole time and the alcohol did not help at all and while these were less than ideal experiences (though friday ended up being a really really fun night) i’m so grateful that they were less than ideal bc it would’ve been so bad HAD i drunk alcohol and it’d actually like cured me of all my fears or whatever bc that would’ve been the slippery slope to alcoholism and that probably would’ve been bad .

i forgot about the alcohol for a moment i was just working with some clients recently on a mocktail project that involved a nonalcholic mojito LMAO but yes there is no alcohol present here

A good day!

SUMMARY

7 miles + .6 miles of strides (spring .05, walk .05, x 6)

1 mile walk : 8.6 total miles

Felt a little crummy last evening, so slept in. 

Breakfast: cold brew, oatmeal with soy milk and a square of dark chocolate. Soon I will eschew the chocolate in favor of just adding cacao nibs, which came in a giant 2 lb bag today.

Ate leftover vegan BROL burrito (Dr Greger’s prebiotic grain and lentil blend--M calls it bird food, and we have fun thinking of new ways to use it, like stuffing it with a spicy sauce in stuffed bell peppers).

Post-run Vega Sport Protein smoothie, just one scoop of the vanilla with half soy milk and half water. We bought maca powder that I’ll start adding occasionally.

Hot, hot bath! Felt great. Luckily body is responding well and not giving me any problems.

Typing now, legs stretched out, a Stella Artois 0.0% nonalcholic beer.

Dinner: tacos with leftover BROL, smashed pinto beans, onions and bell peppers.

Weight - 91.2 kilos. This morning it was 92.4. Is that from the run? The sun and sweating? Trending in the right way!  Especially since a few days ago, Monday, I weighed 94 kilos.

#traditions Eat and drink for New Years. Every year you have the opportunity to make up your mind. 14 hours ago I ate my New Year’s Eve dinner. Home cooked. This year I chose to eat a two egg omelette filled with Italian cheese and topped with American cheese. A side of cubed hash brown potatoes. And a half of an avocado. Along with a glass of water. It is a New Year’s eve traditional dish from many ethnicities. While I do enjoy a great glass of wine, beer or drink, this New Year’s I chose not to drink alcohol. And I have to say it feels wonderful walking into 2022 without having a drop of alcohol. It was a wonderful blessed evening. God bless the morning, it is 6:23 AM. The sun will rise in one hour.
