If any one is planning on writing a sea adventure, I'd highly suggest a tour of the Jamestown tall ship replicas. It's so great to be able to step aboard and feel the water moving under the deck. I'm more of a tactile writer, so it's important to me to be able to describe the sensation, smells, and sights of a location. I don't tend to read nonfiction, but I loved No Plot No Problem. It was such an inspiring read that really did help me with my writing.
