Trying to get back into straight Jagua gel... After working solely with Jagua mixed in with Henna, dealing with Jagua gel after all these years was kinda different lol. Anytime you change up the medium, you’ll have to also change up the application of said medium. 🤔 😅 ✅ 👍🏽 But with that said, I had fun finding my flow with Jagua gel again! I did this design partially using the Genipen from @jaguaink I also used their Jagua gel powder. This is phase Two of the two phase Henna Glam (not actual Henna but a waterproof body paint) design. I wanted the accents that I added to match the purple nails that I got from @thenailbar.cch. It was such a nice experience to have both of my hands done and nails done too. Don’t know when I’ll ever get to do it again but... I can’t tell you how many times I had to redo this design because I had to stop and do things like: 1. Go on a hike 2. Cook some food 3. Help the kiddos with something And not only that but I was doing this side with my non-dom hand! I was also rushing to get it done because someone always needed me for something that day 😆 But I just wanted to have one thing for me since it was Eid and all! I was determined 🤨 And it was all topped off with @thenailbar.cch purple nail set! First up for stain pics is our darling Hanna sporting a fully matured Jagua stain. This design was made using Jagua gel only. On it’s own, Jagua leaves behind a navy blue stain naturally using the juice from the Jagua fruit. It takes 24 to 48 hours for the stain to mature. 🌸 🌸 One of my favorite things about Jagua is that it’s like the opposite of disappearing ink! A lot of times when you first take of the dried gel, you’ll see a faint stain at first. But as each hour passes you’ll see it becoming dark and darker. And I love the cooler tone that it brings. We had so much fun with this shoot!
