I feel like I’ve never seen a movie ending that stuck with me like the end of cabaret did. Without really showing any graphic violence or imagery of war it still perfectly captures the horrifying reality of genocide. You see how art, music, culture, the very basis of humans expressing themselves and how so much of that is being destroyed. And how that is actively happening right in front of you.
