"O Madeleine” is for to my Great Aunt Madeleine Tasquin, who was a strong and courageous woman who will be missed by the younger members of her tribe. I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with her because she lives in Austria, but she came to Canada some and I went to Austria once and the time we had was inspiring, grounding and replete with an assortment of delicate biscuits and deliciously made cups of tea. May a little of her fierceness and lightness of spirit be sprinkled on us all.

I had a pleasant afternoon of stubbing my toes and making cable spaghetti in our garage on Feb 2nd to capture “O Madeleine” in the song’s current state just in time to upload a low-res video to year’s NPR Tiny Desk Contest Video-Song Collection before the 11:59pm EST deadline. Haha!!  Couldn’t decide which tune to send so I decided to sing the one freshest from the heart-oven, with help from Julie Jarowsezki et Louis Lafortune on les paroles (the lyrics) -- merci voux deux! Still in progress, wanting to add to the French recordings I just finished (and sent to my crew as my January Thing.)
