Sooo, I tried to draw the Neon J. and 1010s from my Swap AU...but since this is the first time I have ever tried to draw them, I kinda struggled 😅 (specially with the 1010s 😟💦)

If you wonder who they swap with, well...in short, they swap with Yinu and Mama (I tried to come up with a better combination but nothin really worked out for me 😥). So yeah, they swap *places* and *personalities* too, but they don't change music genre so, yeah: 1010s are still a boy band under Neon J. management (they just loose the military aspect to it).

In this Au, the boys are more friendly than actually flirty (well...most of the time at least 😅), they are proud of their performance and are determined to show Zuke the brilliance of it (...though he doesn't even want to see it, like, at all 🤣).

Neon J. acts as a calmer version of himself who watches the show from afar...but the moment one of his sons is severely injured, he seems to lost his mind and steps up to the fight, forcefully initiating the *Protection Protocol* on his sons to harm the intruders.

I would like to write a one-shot detailing the origin story of this Neon J. and 1010s, so...are you guys interested in it??? 🤔🤔🤔

Some stuff I did for a swap au that my friend vaguely offhandedly mentioned as a what if but then I latched onto fairly hard immediately and started doing stuff for it. The basic concept thrown my way was simply a swap between Neon J and Tatiana.

What would a Genre Swap between DJ Subatomic Supernova and SAYU be like?

Introducing D33P S3A and SGR! The genre swaps between Sayu & DJ Subatomic Supernova!

Co designed and drawn By Mod R and Mod Nine We came up with a few things regarding them both! Read below because it gets a bit lengthy

SGR:

- Sayu is no longer a virtual mermaid but a runaway alien from a planet far out of the Milky Way, she crashed landed onto the outskirts of vinyl city in her escape pod where a group of teens found her during their annual stargazing trip. (the sayu crew!) they found a mysterious lump of brightly coloured pink and blue goo inside this mysterious pod and when Tila was the first to open the hatch the goo formed to resemble someone like her. (The hair, the baggy clothes etc) The only sounds she could make at the time were her own alien language and the word Pi. The crew later named her Pisces taking inspo from the constellation - The SGR crew run a radio station that focuses on space exploration and are a Nu Disco band named SGR. (Which means Soft Gamma ray but later was changed to Star Girl Radio) The crew end up housing Pisces and try and hide the fact they have a literal wanted alien with them. She soon turns into their mascot and the lead singer for their band. Tila taught her to sing and they both sing lead. Whilst Dodo / Sofa / Remi add their own respective styles to the music. So their music is a whole mix of flavours that culminate into one groovy intergalactic disco. They’re the charters of Cast Tech; They only found out Pisces could groove once she was messing with the turntables in their studio and her goo like hands got stuck on some records on the deck. Cue impromptu groove session - The SGR crew have a way more prominent roll and influence here; They help make Cast Tech into a hub for citizens that a bit more out of this world that they let on. If you get my drift. - Personality wise she’s more than she lets on; though bubbly and curious about this new found world around her she’s actually pretty smart and strategic. She’s helping SGR build new tech and devices and is low-key their mechanic at times. Being an alien has its advantages when it comes to tech. Although music is a new addition she isn’t familiar with. She’s a bit quirky, loud and kind of out there but she means well - Mod Nine

D33P S3A: - Personality wise he still follows the canon djss arrogance. In this version D33p S3a might be more ignorant than arrogant, caring about himself and his work more than being better. Ignoring a lot that doesnt benefit or impact himself directly. This would also explain why he is the last on the leaderboard and not caring about it. - He will boast about sea and it's creatures, calling bbj amoebas and plankton's on many instances. Instead of space manipulation, he is capable of manipulating water. The ability to change size still retains and is using it in the boss battle through the phases, just like djss. - His battle goes from the shore where you meet him up into deep deep waters. In each and every phase the background gets darker and harder to beat, up until the final phase where everything seems to be almost pitch dark, safe for some visuals to fight. D33p s3as jacket seems to be have some glowing details, putting him into the spotlight. (It also seems to be reversible and have webbed hands) - His occupation is marine biologist, a well known and respected one. He spent majority of his life learning about sea. His occupation as an artist was just a side hobby, that gotten out of hand and landed him in this position. He uses the status that came with it to fund his research - Mod R

Well Kliif's Vinyl City is more based around 'the classics', or rather, the idea of the good old days. The Tried and True, the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' ideas. DK West embodies this ideal more than EVE, and is thus this guy's right hand man.

His music is still much like what we see in the usual NSR games, but with a higher budget. I believe my idea was that he'd be able to host and run a district that's a mix of traditional Malaysian architecture style and modern amenities. Think a really stylized shopping center w/ places to live above the shopping.

He's still the arrogant sort of guy, only kept in line by Kliff's leadership. He also has a strict adherence to the ideal of 'green living', due to his unwillingness to relinquish the roots that he holds dear. Province life always appealed to him, and he was more than happy to go back when things in Vinyl city. (NOTE: I am not Malaysian, I'm Filipino, so while it's close, it's not 1:1 so if I get shit wrong, please tell me.)

MEANWHILE EVE works alongside Tatiana, as she does in the regular game. However, she's only doing so because she has a big vendetta against Kliff for rejecting her work in the past. Mostly for being far too modern for the tastes of the city. As such, she's delved deeper into the more experimental side of music, alongside her physical art.

Her mini games provide upgrades to the instruments that Foxtrot and Zulu use, but due to her bad history with Foxtrot, it's not given for free. They're only given out when they assist her in sneaking past security in the city, so she can put up her Pop Up art exhibits.

These are based on old notes I can find, so a lot of these ideas aren't fleshed out. Not like I want them to be. BUT It's fun to revisit!

Outfit swap for Poppy from Trolls and Mayday from No Straight Roads!

Being that they both have eccentric personalities that love music, as well has having a more reserved and chill partner, I thought it was a perfect idea to draw crossover art or them! Enjoy!

As a heads up, I'm not going off of any color coordination of where to put who. It's based off how I personally characterize the 1010s and what I thought was interesting to think about.

Eve - White Eve was the first artist enlisted and thus got first pickings to which 1010 she wanted to help her get set up. She chose White, viewing him as the best of the candidates to mold not unlike a blank canvas. (Though this isn't me saying he IS a blank canvas, more so that the other 1010's had stronger themes going on that could clash with all the ideas she wanted to try.)

The two end up gossiping a lot together. It helps that White has a direct line of information from the other 1010s of what odd things their own charters are doing.

Tatiana - Red Tatiana was the second artist enlisted not long after Eve. She was given the option to choose a helper, though chose not to pick herself. That's ok because Red practically volunteered, really wanting to see that fiery side. She may be much more orderly these days, along with her district, but Red swears he'll get that chaotic rebel out of her one day. He is determined.

Yinu - Blue Yinu's dad was the charter before her. The options he had were between, Blue, Green, and Yellow. Wasn't very fond of the idea of Green and Yellow essentially being explosives. He went with Blue who was already the one to be entertaining Yinu during the meeting.

Blue was passed down to Yinu after she took up the role of Natura's charter after her father's passing. The two are rarely seen without the other.

Sayu - Yellow While Green and Yellow both seemed fun during team Sayu's meeting, Yellow showed an active interest in Sayu but in particular, marine themes. Ended up info dumping about various legends surrounding mermaids and even wondered out loud if they had used some of those old legends as inspiration. They didn't, but they thought what he had to say was really cool though.

DJ Subatomic Supernova - Green DJSS didn't have a choice. Green was the last 1010 who hadn't been assigned to assist anyone. DJSS didn't even want Green or any 1010 to begin with, but it was heavily insisted that he have the assistance getting set up. Heavily insisted meaning forced by his new boss.

Green isn't too keen on DJSS either.

For July Break Bingo

Prompt: Roleswap AU

I'm such a sucker for swap!AUs and it took me a while to figure out what swap to make/draw. Maybe I'll revisit those but for now here's virtual merboys 1010 and real girl pop star Sayu.

Quick explanations:

I picture 1010 here basically being Vtubers. So they are real boys but they perform via virtual characters. Although I didn't draw him, Neon J is still their manager, I just don't know how I'd incorporate him into the fight. I admit I don't know how their fight would play out, especially the final phase. (I did joke with a friend about "some fish voltron" though, take that as you will.)

For Swap!Sayu, I some inspiration from Macross Frontier (I even based Sayu's pose on some official art of Ranka.) Basically her whole gimmick is that while she herself is real, her shows are mostly effects, including her stage costumes which can be switched around on the fly via Remi and Sofa. Tila provides off-stage backup vocals and Dodo does mo-cap for virtual background dancers.
