Just an art dump

It was last July when Papa got admitted at NTFH for a chest pain. Little did we know papa was about to leave us in less than 40 days.

On that fateful 06 August 2018, I saw how Papa took his last breath. Still clear in my head. We were put in the holding room at A&E. As papa got admitted before, we thought there is nothing to be alarm about.

We didn’t realise the seriousness of papa’s condition until we were told that the doctors tried to resuscitate papa. However, in between the resuscitation, papa’s heart stopped beating four times. Doctor then told us that papa needs to be put at ICU.

I naively thought papa would be better and that everything will be ok. Doctors in ICU then spoke to us. He updated us about papa’s condition and how severe papa’s condition is at that moment.

In ICU, Papa was in bed 27. Papa was unconscious. I know that papa was in great pain. We cried, we were all very helpless. We wished we could take away some of his pain.

That night, we slept in ICU’s waiting room at the hospital. We took turns to take care for papa. I still secretly hoped papa would wake up.

07 August 2018, Doctors told us papa’s condition is deteriorating.. I remember clearly as he spoke to us, “Please gather Mr Yusoff family members to see him”

There wasn’t any hope left but I kept believing papa would wake up. Papa’s condition worsen minute by minute. This - was one of the most difficult decision as a family we had to make.

To pull or not to pull? To pro-long papa’s death or to stop his suffering. I could not bear to hear all that and left that discussing room. I ran to papa’s bed and that is when I painfully had to believe, Papa’s soul is already with Allah.

Uncle recited Surah Ar Rahman for papa. He helped papa with his wudhu. “Innalillahiwainnailaihirojiun”.. Papa was no longer around with us. Doctors came in to pronounce papa’s death.

It has been 6 months now since papa left all of us. I still cry when I write or spoke about papa. It will never be the same without you, papa. I am still hurting but I am also comforted with the fact that you are with Allah SWT right now. May Allah have mercy on papa’s soul, forgive papa’s sins and grant papa Jannatul Firdaus.

I missed you papa.

So I went for followup & apparently there’s infection in the internal cut, which is why the pain never go away even after a month. Did a minor procedure to remove the pus under the skin & have to go for daily change of dressing at polyclinic after the procedure. Pardon the selfies...but yeah..what went down today was took leave and accompany the queen for her check-up at NTFH... coincidently the King and lil sissy were off today... so we head some family time.. head out to town... and end the day with tummy filled with combos from Ayer Rajah Hawker Ctr... Day 10 - 16 May

Grabbed kopi and ccf for bf then some soin luih for the kids' bf. Picked up a usual rider from ave 4 to ntfh. Went to the gym earlier for back workout so that i can bring parents to jb. The jam on the causeway was 1 hr each. Coupled with a 2hr visit at maybank, half the day in jb was gone. Did a quick supermarket dash and a carwash + petrol before buying dinner back. Dropped parents then rushed down to clementi to fetch the kids. Tiring day!
