i might've years ago, so let's go again! i'm gonna answer this question as only NSFW/kink related, otherwise the list would be way too long haha

alright let's start with the obvious: ParviII is and always will be my #1 one ship, even when I dip in and out of the fandom a lot (i feel the term OTP is super outdated these days? but if there was one ship i could use it with it's them...)

so obviously i'm gonna say Talking Body and Payment and Payback by @sparxwrites. because. you know. how can i not. oh yeah, Good Vibrations is also a classic. hiii sparx, i'm sorry for picking your older fics, i just have such a bias. they've written a ton of great stuff over the years though, so go give the account a peak! there's something for everyone, especially if you like darker stuff.

...speaking of accounts with a lot of content who lurk around here, shoutout to @pawpunkao3. lmpᴇarI is one of my favorite ships, and they're still such a rarepair somehow?? anyways I think about Between Bedrock and a Hard Place at least once a week tbh. speaking of lᴀds, if you follow me on main, you know i got into Bᴀnᴀna Bᴜs Sqᴜᴀd just last year (I'M SORRY, OKAY, DON'T @ ME-) you'd think getting into an old fandom late would mean a ton of great smut fics, right? to be honest, i haven't found many that i care for, but maybe i'm just picky... however, i remember your lips, they're the ones i miss, and smoke in your lungs, your lips on mine are SO GODDAMN GOOD i'm not even mad it's only those two i like because i could reread them 20 times. god. such fun characterization. shame the author orphaned them because i badly wanna read more of their stuff.

this is the part where you go, spirit, do you read anything besides (mᴄ)yt fandoms??? and i go, not really.............well, sort of. i like 0verwatch! and M0icy!! Reciprocity is a delightful PWP long fic. i'm also not really an omegaverse guy, but Water Me has such a good take on it i fell in looove.

All of your deaths were incredibly stupid (affectionate), and honestly you can trace them all back to Joel (Enderman boat accident, fishing pole playing then just missing the water bucket, Joel rushing to the Nether portal), so... Sorry Etho. GG, good luck next time.

In summary, you were a really great interesting duo, probably the power duo of the season really, Grian's and Scar's iconic deeds be damned. (though admittedly, incredibly admirable) Most kills at 4 (8) lives. Pearl->Scott, Scar->Grian, Jimmy->Tango, Scott->Pearl.

i went through your tumblr for a bit and saw in one of your responses you mentioned feeling a lack of encouragement to write when it feels like no one is actively requesting so i suppose this is my formal request. i am quite literally so emotionally invested in this fic. this is my high class literature (as a lit major). this is my magnum opus and i’m talking about the experience of READING it, not trying to imply this work is in any way mine.

i have sooo much i’d like to say about it but i get so scatterbrained when i think about it. i read the entire thing in one sitting and was in agony when i finished. then you updated on christmas and i read the entire thing AGAIN and i keep going back to that most recent chapter where (spoilers ig!) mac calls dennis daddy because it simply /felt right/. because he felt /safe/? oh i’m on the floor and begging for mercy. you’re brilliant. this story is brilliant. i’m a mess.

if you ever feel like people might not be interested: listen to me when i say your writing has permanently altered the chemistry of my dna and has conditioned me to check ao3 every single day with bated breath HOPING there’s an update. i love it. that’s an understatement. i LOVE IT.

First off, thank you so much for this, and second off don’t apologise for writing too much to me after you’ve seen the word count I spew out at random. I really appreciate your words, and I’ll tell you I’ve been in so many similar positions where I’ve been obsessed with a fic and had no one in it to relate to and have just ended up spamming a close friend instead, so to hear that’s done about my fic is really, really cool.

About prior asks, etc. I think I get down on myself a little, when I say I don’t get why people are reading or what they like and it’s hard to find motivation, it’s really just kinda my own internal struggle with all of that. (Also, I keep answering those when I'm drunk, my bad.) I get what I’m doing and what I’m writing, but I wanna make sure the audience does too. But you’re reading my words, so you must, even if you can’t (or just, don’t want to) sit down and go line-by-line of a 23k word chapter and tell me what’s going on.

Cause, I couldn’t sit down and write a full detailed list of every new episode of Sunny like that. Like, I just straight up couldn’t when they dropped. My reviews were like ‘5 stars, keysmash’ So I think there is something to be said about people really liking something, really wanting more, but maybe not having the words to vocalise or not having the time to vocalise why that is.

About wait times, updates, etc.. It is mainly about motivation, and like you’ve said I would never put out something just to put it out if it’s not reflective of what I want it to be (and know it can be). I mean, I’m not on a real deadline and I’m not getting paid, I'm writing this first and foremost for myself, so why would I rush it? Sometimes I can write thousands of words in a day, if the spark hits, but sometimes it can take months to fully form when it’s just me in my head and I still have to do shit in my daily life. And maybe I could do something to speed up that process, but I think my best work forms this way. But it does make updates painfully slow for you guys, and I apologise, cos I get that sucks.

Though, it is also spurred by external motivation: people pointing specific things out, telling me why they like something or what they see under the surface here, that stuff actually gets the gears in my head turning, back in focus. The ‘waiting for an update’ ‘pls write more’ isn’t motivation, it’s demand. (And understanding there is demand is definitely a motivator, don’t get me wrong, but that’s not a spark, it’s a push.) So the balance there is sometimes hard to match, I understand there is demand (though after Ch 7 or 8 whatever it was I genuinely thought maybe there wasn’t), and I appreciate being told that, but it can only go insofar as I have the motivation to bounce off of it. Sometimes, that’s literally just my own issue and no one can help me. You (not you, specifically, anon) just gotta trust an update will come... and if you fall out of care for Sunny in the meantime, oh well. Know I won't, lmfao.

About the Title, well, no one actually has asked me... I don't think (maybe 'cause it seems obvious?). I guess the answer is.. kind of? It is a lyric pulled from the Fall Out Boy song, but, well, a meme says it best:

dont make me tap the sign. fictional exploration of pedophilia/incest/abuse/etc at all isnt the problem, its the way its portrayed. if youre out here portraying that shit as bad and inexcusable, then youre fine. if youre exploring it in a way that doesnt defend it, then youre fine. if youre out here saying that a 40 year old man getting it on with a 14 year old is cute or sexy, or that two brothers having a sloppy makeout is hot, then yeah im going to burn your house down with you in it

the thing about the "what about fictional murder??? ppl romanticize that all the time and you dont see people turning into murderers irl!" argument is that. well. people dont groom people with murder fics. ppl dont show others art of their favs getting murdered and then try to use that to justify them murdering someone. that just doesnt happen. what Does happen is that ppl use incest/pedophilic ships and art portraying it in a "cute" or "fun" light and they use that to justify their grooming actions. that does happen. ive Seen it happen.

and no, im not saying that getting rid of this depiction of these subjects in media or fanworks is going to Stop All Grooming. thats silly. i know that if theyre going to groom someone theyre going to find a way to do it anyway, im not an idiot. but all im saying is that this shit makes it easier, makes it more accessible, and may even make it more normalized, which i hope you can agree is a bad thing.

exploration is one thing! lots of gothic media has "problematic" shit like that in it. lots of fiction has gross shit that the author doesnt condone irl, theyre just exploring it through writing. however, romanticization is another thing. portraying it as cute and fun is another thing. trying to excuse it by saying its fiction is another thing. thats when you ascend to freak status in my book.

youre not ~making a statement~ by declaring yourself a Proud Proshipper--at least not the one you think you are. youre giving me the signal that you dont care about how certain subjects are portrayed even if theyre harmful, and youre telling me that i should stay far the fuck away from you.

last thing i'll say on this is that for the record i am also against purity culture. i dont think ppl should be watering down media to be Acceptable and Pure all the goddamn time. i dont think ppl should stay away from "problematic" media entirely as long as they can use their brains and be critical and not excuse or defend said problematic content. everything is problematic bitch lets get you some fruit. yknow? theres nuance and context to everything; things arent black and white. trying to take the problems out of everything is a waste of effort and frankly makes everything boring as shit. having said all this, the way things are portrayed and how you interact with them are still important factors and i will stand by that

8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

"Bumblebee is minor coded". I've seen this opinion applied to every iteration of Bumblebee, including IDW, which- come on now. That's an adult. But even when it is usually applied, like TFA, G1, and Bayverse- I feel like the idea still can't hold up. TFA Bee literally goes to the same military training most of the cast was a part of, works in the same small repair crew too, and I don't see anyone saying Bulkhead is a child, or ironhide, or strongarm/shockwave (SPOILERS! 🙀). Bayverse being 'minor coded' just feels ableist because the only thing I've seen people cite for that is the fact he's non-verbal. and then G1, I feel just applies to any TF characters and iterations of Bumblebee- I.E., he appears to act 'childlike'. All the characters are written for children to view, relate to, and look up to. We're not going to have any of them, except the comics, acting like full grown adults. Like lets be real, we're a bunch of Autistic adults watching a cartoon for 10 and under- the characters are not going to be acting 100% rationally and will be whimsical and childlike.

THE FACT THAT TRANSFORMERS EVOLVED TO BECOME SMALLER OVER TIME AFTER INTERACTING WITH HUMANS!!!!!!!!!! (source: beast wars). Like the maximals and predacons were already human size or only twice that size before they gained their beast modes

23. ship you've unwillingly come around to

very rarely will i gain a twinge of fondness when looking at G1 Megastar fanart. Emphasis on rare, because most content of them together is complete garbage. But, there is something comforting in thinking of them as being friends- and i wish there was more iterations of megatron and starscream atleast liking eachother a *little* bit. But, I don't know if we will ever get that. It feels like each show they try and go with the (fandom) audience's expectations that Megatron is just mean to Starscrean for no reason and/or try to make an abuse plotline. Which, I'm not saying is bad (if done correctly + in a way that is appropriate for children to view and understand or atleast presented in a non-confusing way). I'm personally happy with what we got in Armada and IDW with the angst and complex dynamic. I'd like something else now

Anyways, hi! I’m redoing my introduction because it’s kind of outdated and I’ve changed a lot so yeah! This is mostly to find more mutuals and stuff! I might delete the og introduction post. I dunno we’ll see but i probably will.

ALSO THIS IS KIND OF A 30 FOLLOWER SPECIAL BECAUSE OH MY GOSH, THANK YOU??! It’s not much but i’m so happy omg…

But anyways, putting that aside, let’s get to the introduction!

Hi everyone! I’m Kiwi! And as you might know I am a Leo/Need protector and liker. However, my favorite unit changes every week so don’t let that fool you. I have no favorite permanent unit. I’m just pissed that leo/need gets the short end of the stick. Also as you can tell by my bio and name, I am a Kotaro Mita liker (VBS NPC for those who may not know) and his biggest fan !!

I use she/her pronouns, i’m a lesbian (blame an shiraishi for this one folks /j), I’m 15 (turning 16 on November 3!!) and i like drawing, writing and brainrotting on stuff I really like (that much hasn’t changed) !! However, i excel in the last two so if you’d like my thoughts or drabbles, just send me an ask!

Yeah sure homestuck permanently changed my brain and the way I speak and what words I use (big fan of making up new words in a homestuck like sense) but more specifically the genius homestuck enjoyers (Tomatogrator, Valerie Abraxasgrips, Opacifica, and Sarah Zedig, all circa. 2019) are what really changed me. I still quote the things I remember from reading those posts. Tomatogrator dirkjake fanart permanently changed me in such a deep way, I still say “Don Juan triumphant” when faced with something even REMOTELY related to phantom of the opera, I go berserk at even the nearest mention of the princess bride. Orange and Green shipping follows me in every fanbase I go.

Event FAQ

What is the Name Wheel?

The Name Wheel is a wheel we've filled with names belonging to many folks who are in or atleast close to Kakashi and Gai's age group. During each section of the event, you must spin the wheel and obtain 2 names- atleast 1 of these characters has to be involved in your work in some way. If you end up using both names the Wheel gives you, we ask that you mention it (bonus points may or may not be available if you are a part of the teams on the server)

- Other characters that are not on the name wheel can of course be in your work! The name wheel was just made in order to pick out Kakashi and Gai's peers.

What is the main theme of this event?

Overall our theme is Eternal Rivalry - optionally ignoring canon, how do you think Kakashi and Gai's rivalry started? What sort of mischief did those two get into in their younger years, whether intentionally or not? How many grey hairs do you think they gave their dads, if any? That'll be up to you to decide!

Do I have to use all the prompt items?

Nope! We ask that you use atleast 1 of the items, but you do not have to use them all. Points can only be earned from items if they are used during the appropriate weeks- if you use items from Weeks 1 & 2 during say Weeks 5 & 6, you will not earn bonus points.

What's with these points keep seeing be mentioned?

Points are something you can only earn if you are a member of the Konoha Kohai Discord Server, and do not really effect the event itself. They are simply a fun side thing- rules are set in the event channels of the server if you wish to know more :)
