I don't agree with this. The original news was propo. It spread fast. Trudeau even tweeted about it then deleted. It went viral for 3 days straight through the infographic industrial complex before anyone bothered to go into the original source and question it. Absolutely saddening state of affairs that ppl will take just IG posts etc at face value. Tiktok is just the same. It's only one perspective and in the west, tiktok presents the dominant ruling class perspective. Both based on algorithms pushing out ocntent, as well as deliberately like we saw US white house inviting top tiktok influencers and debrief them on the Ukraine war, and ask them to make video about what's going on. These under 20 years olds.

Just 💯 all of this is manf consent. If Iraq war was happening at this time, it woulda been IG posts about WMDs and the babies Saddam was killing. No sources just tiktoks

1- Black and White by Dopapod: 

My friend has a playlist called “apparently Jam is a genre, who knew?” and I’ve saved a lot of songs from that. It’s good for when I’m in a somewhat pleasant mood and just going about my day. I have a feeling this is just me, and it could just be the name, but these “Jam” songs do remind me of the experience of eating jam on toast.

2- Body Terror Song by AJJ: 

I don’t actually listen to this one a lot, because it makes me very sad. You can’t live without a body, and therefore it is important and precious— But the fears and looming ending of life are almost doubled by those of the body.

3- Folding Chair (live in London) by Regina Spektor: 

I adore Regina Spektor songs, this one included. I think of it whenever I spend time near a body of water. I actually got to hear her sing it live in the summer 😊

4- Straw-Buh-Buh-Buh-Buh-Berry Shortcake: 

The theme song to the 2003 Strawberry Shortcake tv show. Call me nostalgic, I am. This song makes me very happy, though.

5- Reaper Man by Mother Mother: 

Actually the first Mother Mother song I ever heard, when I found it in a TAZ: Balance AMV. The “I’ve got no choice but to love myself” hits me every time.

6- The Lobster Quadrille by Franz Ferdinand: 

I love Alice in Wonderland, and I will listen to any half-decent Alice in Wonderland themed song. Especially if, like this, it’s a song taken straight from the book. I think I have three versions of The Lobster Quadrille saved.

7- The Sound of Settling by Death Cab for Cutie: 

I was actually introduced to this album by the same friend who introduced me to Jam. Anyway, this song is relatable, and quite fun to sing along to.

8- Egg and Soldiers by Cosmo Sheldrake:

 I also adore Cosmo Sheldrake songs. They have a unique and lovely sound, and the lyrics have a fairy-tale nursery-rhyme delicious to them.

9- The Slow Parts on Death Metal Albums by The Mountain Goats: 

The smoothest-sounding Mountain Goats song I’ve come across. Great for when I’m feeling both melancholy and meditative.

10- Stargazing by Love & Moon: 

@canwriteitbetterthanueverfeltit is actually one of the voices on this, and they did a great job. Both of the vocal performances on this song are gorgeous. And the repeated phrases of “I know good things are coming” and “I will be okay” are very soothing to me. It’s at its best when I have both earbuds in and the voices are dancing from ear to ear.
