I just remembered the sea beast and the self insert i made for it.

Long ago war the merfolk and Humans were fighting over the sea beasts. But in a tragic twist the merking was killed, and his baby was taken hostage. To ensure her safety, the merfolk were forced to give up their heir, in exchange thelong as the royals would not trespass their territory.

Throughout the years Princess Thaliana had everything a girl could want. Money, gowns, cute men flirting with her. Everything except a wakr relationship with her parents. They were quite cold to her, passing her off to different tutors, picky with who she socialize with. They also forbade her from swimming, as contact with water for long periods of time could trigger her disorder. That didn't stop Thalia from dreaming about the ocean and what could be out there. Her only real friends were her lady on waiting Aggie and nanny Cooke. When she was older, Thalia began taking trips out in public, closely guarded of course, visiting merchant shops and participating in festivals. Anything to avoid spending time with her parents.

When Thaliana reached her 20s the court decided it was time for her to find a husband Her parents decided to pair her with General Dan Stevens.

I totally forgot the name of that guy but just roll with me:

Thaliana didn't like who they picked out, she thought he was arrogant and not very kind to people. Still she wanted to give it a shot, if to please her parents just this once.

Thalia eventually disguises herself as a hunter to see what it was like to be one, and to try to persuade her parenrs to keep them on.

Because of this post, I made a joke in an RP about Apollo getting another half-sibling because of Phoenix and then I decided to be silly and make a design for said sibling and uhh I didn’t mean to cook so hard but here’s Apollo’s newest sister :3

This is Thalassa, Goddess of The Seas. She's based on @skyscrapergods au, which is an absolutely astounding au that everyone should go check out!

Once an average pegasus, Thalassa spent much of her time bemoaning the lackluster nature of the waters of the world. After all, the seas and oceans of that time were no grander than a simple pond for all they had to offer. It's surface stayed still, if not for the action of wind or creature, and it's depths were no more fascinating with only common species around.

So Thalassa dreamed. She molded new creatures of any and every proportion, thought of waves lapping gently at the shore, and crafted stories with colorful backdrops and budding civilizations.

Such was her devotion that she soon grew gills to let her stay underwater indefinitely, her wings turned to fins to better explore, her hind legs became a tail to let her dart through the water, and the beginnings of a new horn began to grow from her head.

Sightings of the mysterious merpony spread through word of mouth, stoking the public's curiosity of the sea. In turn, the sea and Thalassa both grew as well. Newly formed currents allowed life to move and thrive. Soon, whole new species began to appear, creating new niches and patterns which in turn beget even more species to be created.

With the new life the ocean brought, Thalassa's place was cemented as the Goddess of The Seas.

Currently, she's around 30000ft long, though very little of that actually translates into height. Her horn has become encrusted in a blooming coral reef, which thrives even when she's out of the water thanks to the power provided by her horn.

I have more lore on her, but I also haven't finalized her design yet, so I'll wait on that until later!

I tried designing dresses 4 her but I love her of sailor outfit way too much so it gotta stay. Her hair and earrings are a reference to this mosaic art while her necklace is a ref to Titanic 🚢

oooh thank you! <3 I literally have zero clue yet since I didn't play the previous dragon's dogma (yet). I do have some vague ideas for her character tho. These are mostly based around her turbulent childhood.

I'll put them under the cut because it's a bit lengthy.

Thalassa was born on the road. Her mother died during birth and so all she had left was her father. He did his best, but everything was tight. Thalassa grew up to be a very slim girl, due said tightness (on most days they had to steal food to survive). One day she tried to get some extra food and was grabbed by guards. She would never return to her father again, instead was taught the ways of archery. She faced many hardships, mostly because of her mates. Near the end of her teachings she couldn't face it anymore and ran. With the few clothes on her back, her trusted bow and a lot of determination she went out in the world.

Taalin & Thalassa Loc - Children of Blight

Thalassa and Taalin are two earthblood elves who inhabit a xadian swap on the outskirts of a remote elven lake village .

In their youth the twins worked together as Apothecarist/ temple attendees in their village , however , thalassa contracted a mysterious illness , a form of elven blight that began to eat away at her .

Left little option following their former villagers retribution against the infected thalassa ,

They both fled to the outskirts of the lake , making the connecting swap their new home .

Taalin and his sister became hermits and in a way , crypids.

Taalin lives in a makeshift home from scraps, water loged wood and trees .

Thalassa herself lives with in those murky waters .
