The mess hall was every bit as chaotic and hectic as it normally was but today the volume and overcrowding was enough to give Eric a head ache and he couldn’t help but tuck Ella into his side and let the feel of her hand on his knee soothe his frazzled nerves.

That was until Christina slid into the bench across from them and slapped her hands on the metal table

“Hey Ella! That picture was gorgeous! I need Tris to start taking my insta pics!” She laughed, flicking through her tablet and sliding it across the table.

Their on the tiny clear screen was Ella pushed close to the camera caught somewhere between a laugh and a smile, her nose scrunched adorably and her eyes closed in content.

She looked so damn happy it made Eric’s chest swell. How had he not known that she had an Instagram? It wasn’t something he was a fan of but Max had forced all of the leaders to make an account to keep up with the other factions social activity.. he hardly went on it.. he wasn’t interested In Amity’s flower wreaths or Euridites “fact of the day”

He was so close to Ella he could feel the warm exhale of strawberry scented breath that left her lips when she laughed.

“Thanks Chris, Tris is pretty great at making me look somewhat decent.” She smiled shyly, wiggling even closer to Eric.. still desperately uncomfortable when it came to compliments of any kind. Christina stayed at the table for the rest of lunch chatting on about her trainees and Deemas inability to tell her how he felt. It wasn’t until Ella had to get back to her class that she waved goodbye to Christina and slid from the mess hall table, erics arms instantly slung around her waist keeping her close to his body that he spoke.

“ I didn’t take you for the Instagram kind of girl.” His head held high with well earned arrogance as he glared at anyone who dared stare a little too long at her hand over his casually resting on her stomach.

Ella laughed lightly shaking her head

“I’m not but it’s kind of fun. Tris was the one who showed me how to use it after I laughed in Max’s face. She takes most of the pictures I post on there but I’ve been known to be a little artsy when I want too.” She teased, turning to him and away from the training room as she stepped out of his grasp.

“Oh yeah? I’ll have to....follow you.” He winced.. the words falling from his lips awkwardly.

Ella laughed loud and clear and warm

“ you do that Coulter.” She propped herself on her tippy toes and pressed her lips to his cheek softly “I’ll see you later tonight.” And then she was gone through the training room doors leaving Eric’s skin feeling buzzy and hot.

To be fair he had waited until he was back in his office and away from prying eyes before he had pulled out his tablet and quickly typed Ella’s name in the search engine. Her photo was the first thing to pop up.

It was all downhill from there.

She was beautiful, her photos did nothing but solidify that fact and looking at her smiling face In the tiny square frames made him want to hold her and kiss her and make her laugh the way she did in those photos.. it wasn’t the pictures that bothered him.. it was the comments.

The male leaders of Dauntless were nothing short of pathetic and desperate judging by the comments they left on his girls post.

By the time he’d gotten to the end of her Instagram page Eric was livid, stomach tense and knotted, fists clenched and what he was sure was the most vile grimace on his face as he slammed his tablet onto the desk, shutting it down.

He would have to wait to see her until the end of the day.. the primal possessive jealousy raging a war on his nerves. Didn’t they know she was his? Wasn’t the way she was basically an extension of his body and he of hers enough of an indication to back off.. none of these men dared talk to her in passing..he didn’t understand social media.

Ella was waiting for him in the far back booth at the only bar Dauntless had when he arrived to meet her for dinner, her eyes scanning her surroundings and her bare arms relaxed against the cool leather. She was in her own world as always and she flinched when he slid in beside her pressing a kiss to her forehead.

“Hi Eric.” She sighed melting into his side.

“Hi Ella.” He grinned pulling out his cellphone and holding it up towards her face, Ella’s face instantly scrunched up in confusion before she stared directly at the camera and pouted.

“Are you taking a picture of me?”

The flash went off lighting up the dimly lit bar

“Eric!” Ella exclaimed, moving to grab the phone from his hands to see.

Eric stared at the photo on his phone keeping it just out of arms reach of Ella. She looked beautiful, sexy to a fault and downright adorable with her golden skin and big brown eyes. After a moment Eric tucked his phone back into his pocket and dropped his lips to Ella’s, pulling back and reaching for the menu.

“You’ll just have to follow me on Instagram.” He teased dryly. Ella reached for her phone, eyes wide before she typed In Her passcode

Their right after a photo of all of Erics rifles was the photo he had just taken one single word as the caption.

“Mine.”

Tyrone Fulbright: Son of Butch Jojo (last name JoHimson here) and Fanny Fulbright. He has pretty much 0 affiliation with his father excluding the annual mandatory visit to Townsville Penitentiary.

Danny Test Utonium: Eldest of Johnny Test and Buttercup Utonium. Heart of gold, dumb of a**, a Himbo in training. This is before his powers kick in so he’s a bit more confident.

Rueben Gilligan: Eldest of Abigail Lincoln and Hoagie Gilligan. The unoffical leader of “the Teddybears” as Becka has dubbed the three of them, he tends to be the first with a joke and a plan.

Courtney Green: Daughter of Ace Green (Gangreen Gang). Oily and slick, she just as likely to tear you down verbally as physically. Stupid loyal to her friends though. Mess with them, get a bat to the face. Before her updated wardrobe

Britney MacFarlane: Daughter of Mindy, think Heather Duke post getting power. She gets what she wants whether she has to grind others to dust to do it. Britney knows best after all.

Carter VonMarzian: Middle child and only son of Henrietta VonMarzipan and Eddward Vincent (i.e. Double D). Definitely the detective of the family, he’s quick to right a wrong or disprove conspiracy theories. Brit calls him “Pig Pen” in reference to his recent interest in Palynology. (Said interest causes his father high levels of distress, thx for nothing OCD)

Shang McCraigen: Fourth eldest of the McCraigen Clan and by far the sassiest. This is about a 2 years since he was fostered first fostered (and a few months since he was officially adopted) by Mac and Rachel. He’s picked up Mac’s ability to read the room- hence his checking in on Jordan.

Jordan Universe: Eldest daughter of Steven Universe and Connie Maheswaran. Given her family’s history with Kevin 11k, she’s not really sure how to feel about his son being at her school. Either way, it’s gonna be awkward for a little bit.

Violeta E. Salazar: Daughter of Caesar Salazar. Easily the smartest of the room, she tends to keep more to herself at this age- only really interacting with her cousin and his friends. Not super involved with alien politics/criminal activity, she doesn’t get the big whoop at the name Levin.

Roman Salazar: Son of Rex Salazar. Far more confident than when he was first starting off, he’s pretty calm in the school environment- if a bit bored. Like his cousin, he tends to learn more back at Providence between his Tio and his Aunt. Equally ignorant on the whole big deal on the name Levin, he’s indifferent.

Kaiden Kincaid: Son of KO. Normally really attentive in class- he kind of wiped himself out brawling with Boxbots the day before. This particular model of Robbie had some unexpected kicks to him.

Mildred “Millie” Billions Morbucks: The only child of Billy Billions and the younger daughter of Princess Morbucks, Millie’s got a lot on her plate to be the best. The youngest in the class at age 8, she is the child prodigy her father had hoped for. The only reason she isn’t at the private school is (pettily enough) that both her parents want to prove she’s smarter than their rivals kids. She is VERY familiar with the capabilities of a Levin so she VERY much would like to stay on Devlin’s good side on the opposite side of the classroom.

Hi y'all!

If you didn't know, I've been writing a Great Ace Attorney Pokemon AU on AO3 for a few months now, which is so far just TGAA but with Pokemon scattered about. One of my commenters asked about my other TGAA Pokemon AU, which I mentioned in the notes- specifically it is a Pokemon Legends Arceus AU. I actually have a lot of thoughts about it (unposted, because I am a fanfic author and that is just how things are), so I decided to make a whole Tumblr post talking about it instead of a huge comment. (Check out "Find the Courage To Be Bold" on AO3 of you're interested in my current Pokemon AU :D)

***POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR POKEMON LEGENDS: ARCEUS AND ALL ACE ATTORNEY GAMES BELOW THE CUT***

Pkmn!TGAA is an AU set in the world of TGAA, and follows the TGAA timeline with Pokemon sprinkled throughout. Legends!TGAA is essentially the inverse of that. It takes place in the Pokemon and follows the events of Legends Arceus with TGAA characters. Like most fanfics, it also explores the harsh world of Pokemon with more detail and angst than the base game did.

I've already more-or-less decided everyone's roles, just not quite sure how to do Volo (bc of course). The Galaxy Team is consisted of English characters (besides the sky faller) and can be given roles as seen fit. There are a few specific ones though. Here's a rundown(as of events of the main story):

Klint Van Zieks is the commander of the Galaxy Expedition Team. Barok Van Zieks is the Captain of the Survey Corps. Herlock Sholmes is the Pokemon Professor hired to study the land of Hisui. Iris Van Zieks is very good at crafting, but used it for pranks until Klint got her working as Sholmes's assistant. Gina Lestrade and Maria Gorey are field researchers for the Survey Corps that arrive a few months after the sky faller. Courtney Sithe is the Captain of the Medical Corps. Gregson is the infamous potato mochi man. And, last but not least, Ryunosuke Naruhodo is the 'sky faller' turned 'best member of the Survey Corps.'

Ryunosuke is in fact from the future. He is the child of the DPP protagonist, who befriended Arceus on their travels. They end up passing away, likely from sickness, and Ryuu has a no good time in the foster system. Arceus eventually decides to send Ryuu to Hisui (1) because he needed to send someone from the future and (2) because he has a soft spot for Ryuu because of his parent and wants him to be happier, as a way of honoring their memory.

The clans and Celestica people are consisted of Japanese characters, with some OCs (who are all ancestors Ace Attorney characters). Here is a short rundown of the most important ones (as of events of the main story):

Diamond Clan - Genshin Asogi is the leader. Kazuma Asogi is leader in training, working hard to follow his father's footsteps. Satoru Hosonaga is Wyrdeer's Warden. Haori Murasame is Lilligant's Warden. Soseki Natsume is Basculegion's Warden. Taketsuchi Auchi is Electrode's Warden. Fuyune Kizuki (Athena's ancestor, age 10) is Braviary's Warden.

Pearl Clan - Yujin Mikotoba is the leader. Susato Mikotoba is the heir to his position, and is working hard to follow in her father's footsteps. Aido Nosa (age 10) is Kleavor's Warden. Kyurio Korekuta is Ursaluna's Warden. Kyoko Akutagawa (based on real life Soseki Natsume's wife) is Arcanine's Warden. Thalassa Gramarye (hehehehe she's perfect for it!) is Sneasler's amnesiac Warden. Iyesa Nosa is Avalugg's Warden.

Other - Seishiro Jigoku is an overly friendly Ginkgo Guild merchant. Meyumi Fey (Fey ancestor obvs) is a wise woman living by herself in the Ancient Retreat. I haven't quite decided who tha Misfortune Bandits will be- the two groups so far are Enoch Drebber, Heita Mamemomi, and William Shamspeare, or Egg Ashley Graydon and the Skulkin Brothers.

The timeline is organized based on distance in time from Ryuu's landing on the beach. I'll lay out a basic timeline now:

15 years before Ryuu's arrival, the Galar region sends a small team to Hisui to organize trade with the locals and find land to potentially settle in (all known as the Jubilife Project). Two of said scouts happen to be Klint Van Zieks, an ambitious Pokemon Wielder with his trusty Boltund Balmung, and Anne Sasha, a spy for the person funding the scouting mission posing as a historian. As a part of the political exchange between Galar and the Hisui Clans, a member from each clan is invited to travel the Galar region and learn more about it. The heirs to the respective clans' leadership are chosen- both Genshin and Yujin have recently lost their wives after childbirth, and could benefit from leaving the region for a while. At the same time, Anne Sasha meets Seishirou Jigoku and sparks the man's interest in the legends of Hisui.

Yujin and Genshin head to Galar with some of the scouting party, Klint and Anne Sasha included. They're tense with each other at first, due to the recent clan war, but over the years they become great friends. Klint eagerly acts as their guide as they travel around, and they get quite close. After a few months they stop in Klint's hometown, where they meet his brother Barok, his wife Rosalind, and family friend Herlock Sholmes.

Ten years before Ryuu's arrival, tragedy strikes. Klint's hometown is almost completely destroyed by a Pokemon attack. Klint, Genshin and Yujin are out of town, and Barok, Herlock, and newborn baby Iris are at the town's university, so they make it out alive. Rosalind, many of the townsfolk, and the entire Van Zieks estate for that matter, do not survive the attack. The Hisuians head back to Hisui soon after, and officially become the leaders of their respective clans when they arrive home. Klint rejoins the Jubilife Project with encouragement from the project's sponsor Mael Stronghart. This is also when the space-time rift appears.

Five years before Ryuu's arrival, Jubilife Village is officially founded. The Galaxy Expedition Team is founded to manage the village, and Klint is made the commander. Barok and Iris move to Jubilife, with Barok joining the Security Corps temporarily as the Survey Corps is not yet ready to be founded.

Four years before Ryuu's arrival, Thalassa Gramarye falls out of the rift and is saved by Lady Sneasler. Thalassa is a Battle Master of the Gramarye Magical Emporium, where the troupe puts on magic shows as well as run their battle facility. Her signature Pokemon was Unovan Zoroark. She does not remember any of this due to her head injury. She soon becomes Sneasler's new Warden. She wears her magician's cape, hat, gloves and boots, as well as her bracelet and red scarf, but the rest of her clothes are from the Pearl Clan.

One year before Ryuu's arrival, and the village is in a safe enough state to being work on the next phase of the Jubilife Project: researching the native Pokemon. Barok is made Captain of the Survey Corps and job advertisements are made in Galar. Herlock Sholmes accepts the role of regional professor and moves to Jubilife, although research is stagnant. Barok has to do paperwork, Iris is much too young to be sent out into the field, and Herlock is terrible at catching Pokemon. His Noctowl had to catch herself!

Then, Ryunosuke Naruhodo falls out of the space-time rift and lands on Prelude Beach, marking the start of the main story.

A month before Ryuu's arrival, Maria Gorey and Gina Lestrade accept the job offer of being Survey Corps field researchers, but their ship won't arrive in Hisui for another two months.

( Admittedly the actual writing would be from Ryuu's POV, so a lot of the past stuff wouldn't be brought up until much later, but that's how backstory works I suppose.)

From there things mostly happen in the same way Legends Arceus does, although with some obvious changes. Iris takes Rei/Akari's place as the village master crafter, and Ryuu is the sole Survey Corps field researcher until a month after he arrives. The time between frenzied noble lightning strikes is very long, to allow Ryuu's team to grow stronger. I'd probably skip the main story scenes unless they change dramatically. Also I'd have scenes with Ryuu bonding with everyone in the village, especially Herlock seeing as the man is his new guardian. Thalassa would show up earlier in the story with a newborn Hisuian Zorua, trying to find proper supplies since her clanmates are too afraid of the Zorua to help. The Galaxy Team feel similar, and even resent the little Zorua due to the species' stigma, but Ryuu helps her get what she needs and even ends up adopting the Zorua kit. This of course leads to them bonding, and potential for the iconic Wright-Gramarye Parent child relationship BUT REVERSED. Hell yeah.

There'd be a healthy dose of both fluff and angst as everyone deals with their problems. And Ryuu has a fear of being abandoned due to his trauma after losing his parent, so you bet that exile arc gonna be spicy.

I haven't actually decided what to do with post-game yet, as I mentioned. I do want Jigoku to be the one to open the rift and I want Stronghart to be subtly manipulating him into participating in a bigger scheme. The goal of the Jubilife Project is, after all, to learn more about the legendary Pokemon of Hisui and how to exploit them (because this is Stronghart we're talking about).

About: Hi, I'm Jared. I'm Nicky's older brother and I'd like to just publicly apologize for everything he's done or is going to do. I'm sorry. I'd like to say it's not my fault but... I don't exactly have anyone else to blame. Anyway, I'm sure my brother effectively talked as much shit as he could before I got here so I'll try to keep this short.

We're originally from Philadelphia, from a very... Abusive house, we'll just leave it at that. I was a child, I didn't know how bad it truly was until my brother was born. Our parents couldn't have cared less, he was so small, a couple of months early and sick, and if I wanted him properly taken care of I had to do it myself. The second I realized I didn't need help anymore, I took advantage and left. Armed with the wisdom well beyond my ten years thanks to what I had been subjected to, and only one bottle of formula and a box of goldfish crackers and the few dollars I had managed to scrounge up thanks to the few kind people that took pity on me I managed to get us on a bus to New Jersey. It wasn't as far as I had liked, but it was the best I could do, not that our parents ever bothered looking for us, but I did take precautions.

We ended up in the foster system in New Jersey where we bounced around families and group houses for eight years. In comparison, it wasn't all bad, I had a roof over our heads and I didn't have to worry about Nicky while I was at school, of course, I did anyway.

When I was in elementary school, I had a teacher (Mrs. Hart) who found out about my situation and went out of her way to become a kind of surrogate mother to us. Soon she treated us as her own but wasn't in a situation to adopt us so we stayed in foster care but we still had her and her daughters (Courtney and Andrew) who also became our surrogate sisters. I even ended up going to high school with them, and they introduced me to my best friend (Vince) and my on again off again boyfriend (Wyatt) who I think is probably the only reason I haven't turned into a full-blown serial killer yet... He's one of the few people that knows ALL I've been through, and has never taken pity on me but is still there whenever I need him... Like when I turned eighteen and came up with an entire mess of a lie to legally get custody of my brother, he helped me out and just went along with it, he's helped me raise Nicky and kept me from murdering him and probably thousands of other people. Of course, I owe most of that to my wife (Jayne) as well. I met her when I was working at a shady bar when Wyatt and I were on one of our breaks. We're together for three years before we decided to elope. Not that it was much of a thought with her visa expiring and a clusterfuck of the "incident" on our horizon, we went ahead with it, and she stuck by me through it all. Through every insane episode, when I decided to adopt our daughter (Grace), through the handful of times she thought for sure I was dead, when I questioned her and she questioned me, she stayed. God, she's such an amazing woman. I truly couldn't be happier and I owe it all to her... And to Wyatt, as well. I wouldn't be here without them.

Happy Storyteller Saturday! What sort of thing would your OC's have hidden from their parents when they were young?

Hello from last week, I’ll be answering this weeks question soon too, thank you for the patience and continued questions 💗

Oh gosh, I can’t answer for all of my characters because some of them don’t have parents, so I’ll answer for their guardians instead.

Mizona: She’s lived lots of lives with many different parents, but she didn’t have to hide anything from her original family during the time she had with them.

Anju, Alice and Rhei: This is a physical thing, but they’d have hidden alcohol from their mother.

Courtney: Would have hidden Hana from them.

Clay: Clay lived with his father while Courtney and Hana lived with their Mother and step-dad, he would have hidden little pieces of unused tech he nicked off his dad.

Hana: bad school reports, letters home, etc.

Kian: He grew up in a conservative and very religious foster home/orphanage, so he hid his sexuality.

Suria: Before going to the foster home where they met Kian, Suria would have hidden any mistakes their mother made, or taken responsibility for them. After they went to the foster home they’d have hidden their gender and sexuality.

Ricky.D: His feelings for his childhood friend as he didn’t want his parents to start planning any weddings (he could have though, as he did end up marrying her)

Thank god for Ricky.D having a happy childhood, else this would have been sad all the way through 😅
