#oc: phoros

luckily the wyrmslayer was pretty impressed with this moth's. um. show of courage. little extra of the momths (mom moths) under read-more :]

[id: simple digital sketch of some hollow knight ocs: chall, a moth with fluffy, droopy antenna; phoros, a moth with long antenna, one of which has a cut in it; the wyrmslayer, a big scorpion with a gorilla-like stance; and the wyrmslayer's pet, vermel, a small vulture-like bug with a sharp beak.

first panel: chall looks determined and angry, bracing herself, her wings blowing in an invisible wind. without looking she tosses her glasses over her shoulder as she says, "hold my glasses, I gotta show them who's boss." in the background, phoros easily catches them and says, "I got yo glasses boo."

second panel: chall starts squaring up against the wyrmslayer, fur bristling and wings opened in intimidation. chall is easily only half of the wyrmslayer's size and yet still she shouts, "alright buddy let's GO." phoros looks on with complete full confidence in chall. the wyrmslayer leans away from chall slightly, and while they do not look scared whatsoever they do seem a little surprised. vermel, perched on the wyrmslayer's back, just cocks her head curiously at chall. end id]

Plutarch Amadeus :] I think what he's doing is pre Era Indomitus, so I think by the time Lion El'Jonson is found on the other side of the Cicatrix Maledictum (iirc he's on the other half Robute Guilliman isn't on), Plutarch will head to his chapter master Malakim Phoros for permission to enter either the Sanguinary Priesthood or the Reclusiarch to try to become a Chaplain for their chapter (and company) because at that point he's had a good bit of experience, and has shown both great dedication to the defense of Mankind but also his battle-brothers

( cahaya’s the exception but that’s only bc he’s wse/founders) neji & gai. THIS IS A GIVEN. honorable mentions, pretty much anyone can meet eden, yansty, moon, and koki (if i ever type up his naruverse), i just didn’t know how to fit them in.

Like all my OCs, they never were created and just stayed like that originally.

Anabelle here started out very close to her present day self, at least medically wise. She originally started out as a mad doctor (like Shinra from DRRR) who mixed every chemical she could find to make a new creation.

When I changed her from human to pony, I really didn’t think it fit as I fleshed out her character and tried to connect everything together with explanation. She changed and became a soul user but most necromagic corrupts the user so I created Phoros to counteract the effect. (Basically acting as a drainer for any extra or corrupting magic)

been working on a lot of character concept stuff lately. im really happy with how they're coming out so far! these arent the final designs, once i actually get around to their references i might edit them a little (especially rock, chall, and phoros :'D)

most of these guys are just kinda wandering around the wastes outside hallownest, except for aza and snag.

silverwyrm - she was a very young wyrm who got hunted down by wyrmhunters and kind of got speared to death. luckily she managed to reincarnate herself as a regular bug so she’s just. she’s trying her best man, the world is really scary when ur a tiny little child who just got murdered. she hangs out with inkwell, rock, and quill sometimes and kinda tries to mother them around, which is funny because she’s actually younger than inkwell

inkwell - they’re an artist who burns corpses without a second thought to make ink for their drawings :) they’re very chill though i promise. they have a found family / adventuring thing with quill + rock. occasionally they come across a corpse of their siblings (though they don’t rlly remember them or the abyss at all), so they’ll shatter its skull and tie a piece to their horns, then burn the corpse in this kind of memorial rite. they’re also just trying their best. they actually gave rock and quill their names, and rock gave them their name :)

rock - her birthname was albalyn and she was born in hallownest in the moth tribe, and chall + phoros are her moms. chall and phoros took rock and escaped into the wastes when everybody started getting sick and dying, attempting to get to another (hopefully safer) kingdom, but they got separated in the storms and,, well, rock hasnt seen them in a long, long time, but she holds out hope that they’re still alive

quill - he was born in the wastes tho his family was from the stag nest, since they’d also ditched hallownest when stuff got real bad there. his family were always kinda scary because their minds were getting eroded away, and finally they snapped and tried to kill quill so he had to book it outta there. luckily, inkwell and rock came across him before they could find him again

aza - she’s based off the abyss creature u can kinda see ingame. she’s super old and lived in the abyss before hallownest came around, and she kind of became the vessels’ aloof grandma. she went into hiding when the pale king came and it started raining dead children though

chall and phoros - they’re most definitely probably dead, and rock realizes that, but yknow. i don’t actually have much on them atm

snag - they were inkwell’s first friend in the abyss, and they tried to make friends with everybody they came across, including aza as well as their siblings. but they fell during the climb trying to save inkwell, and got deaded. and then! as a shade, snag tried to kill inkwell because they were desperate to keep their family together, and inkwell had been trying to escape the abyss another way. they’re the direct cause of inkwell’s broken horn. (inkwell’s eye scratch was from the fall itself)

[id: three drawings featuring hollow knight ocs. the first is an half-body shot of chall, phoros, and rock. chall is a fluffy black-and-brown moth with green markings on her antennae and wings, and a cream-colored scruff. phoros is a red moth with black antennae with red tips, the left one which has a cut in it, and her wings are black with red-and-gray stripes. she has a white scruff. rock is a fluffy yellow caterpillar with a light blue, black-speckled back, and light blue ears. chall and phoros are hugging each other with rock in the middle. they all seem happy. there are little hearts drawn around their heads.

the second is of silverwyrm and snag. silver (or silver for short) is a tall, striped silver bug with a long, ridged tail with a centipede-like tail tip, a pair of crown-like horns with a smaller pair underneath, and scythes for claws. snag is a vessel, with a curly right horn, and a long left horn that curves forward directly into their eye hole, staining it with void. they have a dark blue cloak. silver is skipping cheerfully along, holding snag in her arms, who sighs and looks resigned to their situation.

the final drawing is of quill, inkwell, and rock. quill is a young, dark blue stag beetle, with a darker abdomen and legs, and a fluffy light gray head. inkwell is a vessel with a pair of long horns on the sides of their head and a smaller pair on top. they have a few mask fragments tied to their side horns. they’re wearing a pink cloak with an orange underside. quill is slightly bending down, while inkwell and rock hug his front legs. they’re all beaming. end id]

finally finished up the last of my hk ocs’ refs, at least until im dissatisfied with them again sdfjshdfjsdf

here we have the momths, chall (pronounced as “shall”) and phoros, they’re rock’s moms. they’re like, librarians / elementary school teachers and they’re the best moms ever. and then horse bug quill who is just a wonderful scatterbrained boy and likes to run a whole lot <33
