I gotta admit, my Spotify Wrapped was basically dead on

I'm actually quite surprised on I Don't Want to Be Free considering I'm not too much of a Markiplier fan, but all the other songs were dead on

I have an entire playlist dedicated to all seasons of Crazy Ex Girlfriend

(but for some reason all the vagina metaphor songs and Real Life Fighting is Awkward aren't on Spotify?? Insulting)

I plan on adding all of Rachel Bloom's songs as well like the OCDance or Jazz Fever

Again, all incredibly accurate. Andrew Rannells and Christian Borle being so close together is probably cause of Falsettos. And of course Stephen Sondheim is amazing and I still need to watch the rest of the musicals he made

That's not gonna change anytime soon

Overall, I'll probably enjoy my Spotify Wrapped Playlist, unlike last year

What's your favourite rachel bloom song?

I truly can't pick just one, so I'm gonna list some of my faves and some of the best lines from them, because everyone should listen to her music, it's so funny. She's a truly gifted songwriter.

Let's generalise about men - title says it all, it's somehow feminist but also antifeminist, and in the words of Rachel herself, "it pleases everyone"

Friendtopia - "our reign will be like Sweet Valley High meets 1984", again some classic humour but also watch the show

Where's the bathroom - painfully relatable for anyone with a nightmare mother, "it's the least you could do since you lived inside me for 9 months"

Tell me I'm okay (Patrick) - the sheer comedic value of singing a song this dramatic to a delivery driver gets me every time

Let's have intercourse - a lovesong that manages to include the phrase "let's get this over with, so I can focus on other tasks", a hilarious parody of Ed Sheeran that is somehow so catchy that I'm singing it constantly

Jazz fever - the sheer comedy of the doctor's line, which I won't ruin, is beautiful

We don't need a man - lovely juxtaposition between the empowered "We don't need a man, I'm better off alone!" and the depressed "We don't need a man, I don't deserve love!"

The OCDance - the moment I knew I'd love everything she wrote, could've been so offensive so easily but she somehow hits the nail on the head for OCD behaviours

Pictures of your dick - just listen to it, I know it's mildly problematic as a concept but I promise it's so funny, "the tux you wore on valentines day. I held it close, it smelt like you, then I photos hopped the tux on to a picture of your dick! / now all I can do is lay around, and post pictures of your dick around your neighbourhood like it's a lost puppy"

You stupid bitch - the moment where she gets the audience to sing along to the chorus aka "you ruined everything, you stupid stupid bitch" while yelling "yes, I deserve this" over the top is somehow saddening and funny at the same time

A diagnosis - "prescribe me my tribe, give me my throng, tell me that this whole time I've belonged", again relatable while sad but also funny

The darkness - "for so many years I've used the darkness to feel, but now I have things in my life that are actually real", made me cry when I first heard it (but I still laughed)

The end of the movie - makes me cry pretty much every time, so I'm gonna share a longer bit - "This is the end of the movie, but real life isn't a movie. You want things to be wrapped up neatly, the way that stories do. You're looking for answers, but answers aren't looking for you. Because life is a gradual series of revelations that occur over a period of time. It's not some carefully crafted story, it's a mess and we're all gonna die. If you saw a movie that was like real life, you'd be like "what the hell was that movie about? It was really all over the place". Life doesn't make narrative sense. "
