Dexter is Nates best friend. They met very young when they were taken in by The Operator (and inducted into Amuns cult) and have remained close ever since. Nate was probably around 10 when they met.

Yes he does. He likes keeping up with it. Tries balancing it out best he can but most times, as a informant or hunting, hes often on the road so in those periods its just being cramped in a car trying to do exercise whenever he can

Oh god he tries but. The horrors. Relatively good but when he has weeks where its shit then its pretty low energy. Saying that he tries keeping up with his meds for his mental health lol. He smokes loads from stress. cigs and spliffs

Not anybody in particular but maybe uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Milo. not even a rival more of an annoyance. Milo met him in hell. Nobody knows how milo got there but he was there for a fun time x snuck in while nate was suffering. Milo is a werewolf fanatic and while nate isnt a werewolf he's still a puppy and therefore Milo is gripping onto him. They honestly met by chance

His cult family made him kill his mother to obtain her demon so no. his dad WAS alive but he got battered to death by Nate after he fucked his wife. Oops

Oh god he always feels some guilt when he goes away for long periods of time but he knows they’re well off from his parenting and teachings of self defence. He has four daughters

and id say he loves Marlow but she had been gone for years to be a hunter. something he strongly didnt want her doing so in that regard they butt heads and have more arguments. But he'll be there for his daughter anyway when shes going insane

Been getting obsessed with this oc idea I have lately. It's a very abstract idea cause I don't even have a setting for it and I have so many different ideas for directions it could be taken. But it's a "person" who is perceived differently by every single person who observes them. They have no concrete physical body. They are perceived as whoever the person viewing them "misses" the most. A physical manifestation of grief. They look different, have a different tone of voice, walk differently, wear different clothes, etc. Even when they look in the mirror or down at their hands they just see the person they themselves miss the most. They can't even say their name, it just comes out as the name of the person the listener is receiving. I wouldn't even want to give them a name ooc, I'd just call them "It" and let everyone make up a name for them themselves. But I wonder how, logically, it could even be roleplayed out. How far would the "impersonation" go? If someone asked about their life, would they just talk about the life of the person they're being perceived as? How could I even roleplay that out? What would be most interesting to roleplay? Maybe they have some level of control over how much they are perceived independently of the viewer's perception. They can choose to default to the response that would fit the person they're being viewed as, or they can allow them to hear their own words. But even then, who are they? They view themselves as the person they miss the most, so would their 'self' just be that person? Is there even anything underneath? Maybe they were a normal person a long time ago, thousands and millions of years ago, before being turned into...this, but it's been so long that they simply don't remember any of it. They can't remember who they were, maybe they were never anything. There's nothing left except what other people perceive. There's nothing left.

Could you imagine being yourself. Like just looking in the mirror and going "Yeah! That's me!" Then suddenly something is different. Not everything, mind you. Just... something looks off.

Now imagine looking into your eyes, something once part of you, and only seeing one left? As in. A parasite has crawled into the other, tried to make home, and your eye now looks like a black, spacey abyss. The skin around it is dying, blackening with it. It hurts. It hurts so, so bad. It just... hurts. You're in so much pain, in the hospital, wondering if you'll live.

The next time you look in the mirror, it's all different. Your face is... Yours. But. The eye is hollow, the inside coated in the dead parasite, protecting it from further harm. It's... Strangely beautiful. But terrifying.

Could you imagine being such a happy person after that? After going through so much, your face changing permanently, the darkness surrounding your former eye, being half blind. Could you imagine being happy when your life up until then has been shit? You were jailed for years, let out, you were forced to get an illegal job because none other would take you, you get that infection, you join a legal operation after, people just... Avoid you.

But not them. People don't avoid you there. Because you don't let it show how bad it hurts from time to time. You don't let yourself think about who you were before. You just exist. You allow yourself to be happy in the moment, because if you don't, they'll see the broken shell of a man you've become.

Bellatrix has been on my mind SO MUCH I love him, I love the idea of him having a family that was rich but strict, where he got hurt for mistakes, where he still tried to maintain happiness because it was just in his nature. Someone who's been nothing but hurt and punished all his life is so happy, so cheerful, always smiling, even when people stare at him and point and leave areas he's in, he's just so... Happy. At least, he tries to be. Sometimes he isn't, but he thinks that maybe, just maybe, if he doesn't show that it hits sometimes, he'll be okay. I think Bellatrix is my happiest character because he's trying to be happy, it's in his nature to be kind, gentle, caring. It's in his nature to smile and laugh. It's in the nature of someone who was put through hell, got arrested for a mistake, worked illegally because he had no other choice, got a life changing parasite in not just his eye, but his side (which has caused a few issues here and there), and now works in a dangerous but legal environment.

Not to mention. I don't think he has a home. Like I think he just keeps his cash and deals. I think the last time he tried to have an apartment it was so quiet and so dreary and so depressing that he just cried any time he was in there. So he doesn't have a home dude he literally will stay the night with someone random (in a normal sense unless he feels funny) and just can't be alone. Like. Someone give this man a roommate who'll play board games with him and keep him company and let him make them tea and just. PLEASE???

kittyfic / shadow play is actually my blight fic... so it follows my interp of blight through the 55th games... his bond with his district partner, his allies, his enemies... his victory, and what it costs...

i'll put a lil snippet of the opening scene under the cut, just a warning though. transphobia as hell. blight is trans and most of the people around him are shitty about it. also his deadname is mentioned- different to marsh - bc while blight doesnt like being called by his deadname, he is (and remains) open about what it is for his whole life; he sees it as a gift from and a connection to his birth parents.

“I just worry… it’s a difficult life, you know?” Blight stared blankly at the school counselor, only half-listening anymore. This faux support was irritating beyond belief. The only silver lining was that since his life was already in tatters, it didn’t matter if she snitched to his “parents”. “I mean… Maple, sweetheart, you’re so pretty. But honestly, yea, I can see them doing that. Especially since Carna does not see being in a band as a life career and just as a hobby so fae would be having a lot of fun with this instead of doing anything legitimate and conventional.

And honestly I can see Synthia having the same mentality. He would probably be so fucking done with traditional music (especially full EDM) and want to just have fun.

Both of those two have enough money that they never have to actually work hard to make it (Synthia already made his own wealth, that was not something Sharon kept from him because she didn't want any ties after he grew up, so all the money he made is his and his alone. And Carna comes from a family who would absolutely help faer no matter what so no need to ever get a job because faer family is so family-oriented that it could be seen as toxic and enabling for someone like Carna).

And then Riko I can see as having some money from family, but not nearly as rich as Carna and Synthia, as well as not having as much of a musical background as the other two so wouldn't have burnout from traditional style music. However, she absolutely is a little silly and would love playing "instruments" like that!

So yea, I can honestly see these three playing music like that video! Especially since Carna already would have some mechanical know-how since Neon would make sure all his kids have the basic ability to fix themselves (or at least know what is wrong with them and can communicate that. I would say that only Purl-Hew, and possibly Eloni and Rin, would actually know how to fix the rest of 1010 and siblings other than Neon J or special mechanics on stand by if they break down. But hey! Carna would know how to make a makeshift guitar out of a CCTV lol).
