I think im confused about everyone’s reaction to the video. For reader i get its upsetting and reopening wounds to have a video of it happening but idk if its just me but if i was in that situation i think i would be more angry he recorded wanda in that way? Especially since reader and wandas relationship had seemed to be improving not saying reader should easily be able to move past it but it happened and they know it happened and they’ve slowly built a civil relationship and seeing it is ofc going to be hard but does it change much? To me I don’t think it would like ofc I wouldn’t like to see it but i would be more angry he recorded her in that way and then trying to sue maybe thats just me tho.

I got a major ick from yelena at the start for going through readers stuff and going to speak to wanda in a way that gave off back off vibes. I don’t think you should do that instead maybe talk to your partner??? unless that person is genuinely not backing off is making your partner uncomfortable then you can get protective. I was glad she got the video and told wanda about it because she definitely needs to know and that she didn’t take it straight to reader (ik she said to wanda she doesn’t need to resort to dirty tricks but she literally just snooped round readers office so 50/50 on this one)

Still glad wanda didn’t lie at all to yelena but still just wondering why shes come to the cafe instead of sitting reader down and talking about it relationships need communication damn it i also think yelena saying wandas not doing a good job of staying away isn’t entirely true i mean they only met by coincidence and other than a birthday message and the running thing its all been about sparky so its not that deep or at least not deep enough to essentially tell her to back off especially without talking to reader first.

I wonder what readers gonna do accept wandas help? Tell yelena? Is reader gonna find out about yelena snooping and how will that reaction go?

Did she watch the video? We'll find out next chapter.

Yelena's weakness is as a partner is communication I think. I mean, she could've easily just asked R and opened up about her insecurities, but she has the tendency to keep things to herself and find out on her own, and then decide if the things she does find out are worth bringing up (kinda like when she kept the truth about her and Kate from R). It just wanted to show that everyone is flawed. No one is perfect :) Yelena wanted to find out some things because she's too afraid to ask R herself and her insecurities about the relationship is eating at her.

She couldn't go to reader about this because she's afraid of how R will react to her snooping around and to Wanda being a victim of that sort of violation. She's afraid to see the truth that R still loves Wanda.

[2/2] i was reading one of your posts about dilruba & something about it made me wish dilruba had more screen time because she’s the only princesses who was extremely dutiful towards her mother & brother but also managed to achieve her own happiness through her marriage. also, one more thing which i wish was done with her character... so like we all know how safiye sultan practically worships hurrem, w/ always remembering her, showing her ring off etc. the way she talks about hurrem is very exaggerated, “hurrem sultan was head to toe power.” which is true but at the same time, the show really didn’t show her full & complete power like it was historically and we all know 2 seasons of hurrem went in being immature & not really regal or completely power [& she was still constantly overshadowed by the sultanas of blood]. however, hurrem was still almost like a goddess type figure in mc:k and despite safiye’s strained relations w/ nurbanu, she still praised her a lot. basically, the two figures of the sow & the ring holders from the first show are remember in the second show. but what about mihrimah? she was a vital figure in history & in mustafa’s downfall & in the last season of the show even though she didn’t receive the ring to signify her as a part of the sow. what i wished for is dilruba idolising mihrimah, aspiring to be a protector of her brother like she was & exaggerating her power like safiye did w/ hurrem. this way, mihrimah could also be remember. also, dilruba’s character was more of what i had imagined for mihrimah. i didn’t imagine her to love rustem like dilruba loved davut but i expected mihrimah to be more powerful & dutiful towards her mother [more compared to dilruba but ofc also not to the extent of wanting to kill kids who were part of the dynasty]. anyhow, dilruba could’ve really taken mihrimah as her idol imo as her, halime & davut were a parallel of mihrimah, hurrem & rustem. sorry for the long post! but this is something i wish mc:k had done. [worth nothing that rustem & davut were also similar villanish type guys who’s only redeeming qualities could be their toxic love for their sultanas & their loyalties towards hurrem & halime, though rustem did waver in his loyalty whilst halime sold davut like the dog he is lol]

Dilruba's character development was truly very condensed in these 9 episodes, so there was never going to be enough of her, from whichever angle you look at it. I kinda cut the writers slack, because I know the ratings played a considerable part in MCK's script and they had a lot to do and a lot to rush (whereas in MC they could practically do whatever they wanted, because their ratings were perfect, I guess that's why they had so many concubine arcs hehe), but I love Dilruba and I would've loved more screentime with her. The time we spent with her could feel so minimal to the point we get the impression that we got to know little Dilruba a bit more than the older Dilruba. (the opposite case of little Mihrimah, who was almost a completely different character with a different thematic set-up, her childish love for Bali Bey aside. The older Mihrimah went on a completely different path as a character.) This isn't a bad thing, per say, because little Dilruba had already set the foundation of the character as a whole and we didn't need much more context for her actions than what we already got, but this little amount of screentime could limit her role to a simple, a bit flanderized antagonist to Kösem, which is honestly a trend for all of Kösem's antagonists in S01.

{Safiye's cult for Hürrem is one of the most interesting things about her as a character, but it is over exaggerated for the reasons you mentioned just as it simply isn't real. Safiye has never met Hürrem in person and even if MCK didn't call back to that, Mihrimah actually played an important part in establishing that cult in her training of Safiye. Safiye knows of this powerful S04 Hürrem who makes everyone tremble before her and considers "survival of the fittest". (MCK Safiye shares the exact same philosophy) What she worships in Hürrem is rather a picture she has formed in her head, the figure from Mihrimah's stories. This aspect of Safiye's character is used to form her own path in the evolution of power in the SOW, so we could see symbolically how much of what Hürrem represents has she moulded to her own agenda, it's indeed not presented as the actual truth. It also brings the question and perspective of what fragment of Hürrem Mihrihah herself sets as an example for herself and others, knowing that she does not completely idealize her own mother in the show. She was perfectly able to call out Hürrem's own flaws as much as she could openly take Hürrem's judgement.}

That worshipping of Hürrem in MCK truly sounded far too ideal and almost god-like, but in reality, not so many people in the show actually practice it. The only person who actively does, is Safiye, a main antagonist. Ahmet only mentions Hürrem when he gave her crown to Kösem. The references to the MC characters and especially the SOW in MCK is fascinating because you can see how you get only the accomplishments of people you've only heard narratives on, but never their actual stories, their actual struggles. People who were actually around the worshipped people and knew them personally obviously have a clearer understanding of who they truly were, like how Safiye called Nurbanu the most beautiful but also the cruelest sultana she's ever known, which makes perfect sense, knowing their rivalry and enmity. Nurbanu is inspired by Hürrem, but still stood against her with all her might. The people who have heard only basic facts of the more unrealistically idealized sides of those they worship praise merely the symbols of these people, what they were known to represent. Ahmet wants to be as accomplished as Süleiman, but we, as audience, know of Süleiman's detrimental flaws as a person and a padişah and we see that, he isn't exactly a person to be praised, let alone worshipped. It's interesting how the SOW call each other back in different ways, but it's all the more interesting that neither Kösem, nor Turhan call back to their predecessors. Is it because they've known each other closer than any of the worship? Is it simply because their characters have a different purpose? Is it because the theme of letting go of the past reached its fullest peak? I definetly can't say for sure.

That said, MC Mihrimah isn't from the SOW in the show both symbolically and arc-wise, but having a character that is not from the SOW (Dilruba) worship another character from the other show that also isn't from the SOW (Mihrimah) would be intriguing, judging by their similarities. However, these exact similarities prevent me from assessing this idea entirely, because I don't think it would do the show many favors. It could add even more depth to Dilruba: her willingness to protect Mustafa at all costs would be even more understandable then, knowing how the person she worships did the exact same thing in her eyes - it would turn not into a necessity, but into an ideal to live by, something that not only she has to do, but considers as honorable to do and loves it. But Dilruba is close enough to Mihrimah along with the traits and conceptual differences that set both of them apart - having the parralel be "addressed" in-universe through a direct worship would remind the audience even more that Dilruba is similar to Mihrimah and that may prevent endearment to her character. There are people that consider MCK so similar to MC already, that would be the last nail of the coffin. It may have been a risky move because of the ratings? Safiye worships Hürrem, but Safiye has a different narrative role than Hürrem and a more distinct personality, while Dilruba is a more obvious and open parallel. Not to the point of repetition, of course, but it's still close enough for a possible worship for Mihrimah in the show itself to be a dealbreaker for some. I wouldn't mind such a thing for Dilruba at all, but I can see why it possibly wasn't the case.

I'm satisfied with what we got with MC Mihrimah, but I can understand why you would want more power and agency from her. She could be very clueless sometimes which contrasted with her moments of perceptiveness. That was a solid character flaw of hers, but it could be very annoying. But then again, I also get why Mihrimah was the way she was, because MC put the personal motives of a character before any kind of power (or a character wants power for personal motives). Dilruba was perhaps way more ruthless, because MCK itself was more ruthless and it built on the MC themes. Power was already for the sake of power, the time period was more ruthless, everything was happening instantly and there wasn't a place to breathe. While with Mihrimah we got a deeper exploration where we saw more vulnerable sides, Dilruba had both her screentime and this ruthlessness stopping her from developing more and letting her be who she is. I guess both characters had their reasons to be who they were thematically, but writing improvements could still be made, of course.

Ladybug gaped at her friend.

Rena Rouge continued to stare out at the Paris skyline, though Ladybug noticed how her lip wobbled.

Ladybug sighed, scooting closer and draping her arm over Rena.

“I don’t see why I would need to,” she said softly. “I’m quite happy with the Fox I have.”

“I don’t want to be the Fox anymore.”

“Isn’t this your dream?”

Rena paused. “It was.”

“What changed?”

Rena sniffled and turned away. “I’m not a good friend. How can I be a good hero?”

Ladybug’s eyes sharpened. “Who told you you weren’t a good friend? Whoever they are, they’re wrong.”

“I did,” Rena said quietly.

Ladybug placed her hand over Rena’s. “Why would you say that about yourself?”

“Because it’s true.”

Ladybug felt her chest tighten. “What makes you think that?”

“It’s my best friend, Marinette,” Rena said, and Ladybug flinched. “She’s been...acting strange around me lately, you know?”

Marinette racked her brain, but couldn’t think of anything she’d done that would make Alya jump to this conclusion. “What do you mean by strange?”

“Well, it’s more of a gut feeling than anything. She’s just as kind and giving as usual, but something’s off you know? She’s normally so animated around me and just-the past few weeks I noticed that she’s been more restrained and guarded around me. It’s not anything she says but her mannerisms are more closed off, and she’s not as emotionally open with me.”

Ladybug sighed. It seems Alya was just as good at reading Marinette as she was at reading Alya. “Have you tried talking to her?”

Rena drew her legs to her chest. “She evades the topic anytime I bring it up.”

Ladybug felt a pang of guilt. “Communication is a two way street,” she said, rubbing Alya’s back. “If Marinette has something she wants to talk to you about, she needs to speak up. You’ve given her opportunities and she’s avoided them. This doesn’t fall solely on you.”

“But she doesn’t feel safe talking to me, that’s the problem.” Rena put her chin on her knees. “And can you blame her?” She said softly. “Since she didn’t want to talk, I started thinking about what could have caused her to close off,” she explained. “The list was long.” Rena’s fingers gripped her arms.

“Pushing her into situations she’s not comfortable with, disregarding her feelings, pressuring her, guilting her, throwing her under the bus when she’s not around, blowing her off to hang out with my boyfriend, offloading my siblings onto her to go hang out with my boyfriend, the list goes on,” Rena laughed bitterly. “Marinette has been nothing but kind and considerate, which makes it even worse.”

Ladybug paused. “I think you’re being harder on yourself than you need to be,” she said cautiously.

Rena sniffled. “It’s ok Ladybug you can say it. I’ve been a bad friend.”

Ladybug shook her head. “No, you haven’t. I’m glad you’re being self reflective and thinking about how you could be a better friend, but everyone has their flaws. The fact you’re able to identify yours tells me you’re dedicated to improving and becoming a better person, and that’s the kind of friend I would want at my side.”

Rena looked down, releasing one of her legs, which dangled freely over the edge.

Ladybug draped her arm over Rena’s shoulder again. “If you ask me, Marinette is lucky to have someone as lovely as you as her friend,” she said with a smile.

Rena leaned into Ladybug’s embrace. “I still want you to find a new Fox,” she said softly.

Ladybug sighed. “If that’s truly what you want, I cannot and will not force you to remain the Fox. But Alya-” Ladybug gently turned Rena Rouge to face her. “If you give up the mantle of the Fox, I’ll have to find a new one, I can’t guarantee you’ll ever take it up again.”

Rena nodded. “I’ve made my peace with that,” she said softly. “These past months have meant the world to me, but all this hero stuff means nothing if I’m losing touch with those I care about.”

“What about Carapace?”

“I already told him I’m giving up the mantle,” Rena said. “I haven’t talked it over with him and I’m sure he’ll be upset but he’ll understand. He always does.”

Ladybug felt her throat tighten, and she pulled Rena in for a hug. “I’m gonna miss you,” she said. “But I respect your decision.”

Rena Rouge lifted up her window and slipped inside. She gestured at Ladybug, who followed suit.

Rena looked down, taking one last good look at herself. She closed her eyes and exhaled. “Trixx, let’s rest.”

Trixx shot out of the necklace, flying up to Alya’s face. The usually jovial kwami’s face looked uncharacteristically muted.

“You won’t be coming back, huh Kit?”

Alya swallowed and nodded.

“I could feel it the second you transformed-there was a sort of finality to it. No need to apologize,” he added, and Alya closed her mouth. “Being a hero isn’t all fun and games. It impacts your personal life. You need to prioritize you. There’s no shame in recentering.”

Alya smiled, removing the necklace. “I’m gonna miss you Trixx.”

Trixx flashed her a grin. “Oh I’m sure our paths will cross again someday, even if you’re not the one donning the suit.” His face softened. “I’ll miss you too Alya,” he said, diving back into the necklace.

Alya presented the box to the spotted heroine. “Thank you for this opportunity Ladybug.”

Ladybug took the box, and pulled Alya in for a hug. “For the record,” she said, “our time together has meant the world to me too.”

Ladybug pulled back, climbing out onto the window.

She looked back at Alya and paused.

Her friend grinned and gave her a nod.

Ladybug smiled sadly, and saluted her friend. “Bye Alya.”

W.I.T.C.H. Reboot! W.I.T.C.H. Reboot! W.I.T.C.H. Reboot!

hi love! so, with the plethora of reboots kicking around mainstream media these days, its no surprise that the question of a w.i.t.c.h reboot has been broached by its fans. i have so, so, so many thoughts and this, but ill divide them into three categories for the purpose of brevity: firstly, general thoughts on what i would like to see if a w.i.t.c.h reboot is on the cards; secondly, what i would like to see in a live-action w.i.t.c.h reboot; and finally, what a decent animated reboot of w.i.t.c.h might entail. this is not an exhaustive list so please feel free to add onto this if youve any more thoughts! without further ado because jesus, we might be here a while….

general thoughts:

a w.i.t.c.h live action reboot should largely use the comics are source material. while the cartoons are beloved by many including myself, i reckon the good parts of each should be combined to be thematically consistent, fix plot holes etc. but the comics should be the bible here

the target demographic of younger women and girls would need to be established early on by the producers (personally i would love to see a slightly more mature, w.i.t.c.h college AU where the target demographic could be teens/young adult women and girls, but more on that later). this isnt to say that young men and boys would be absolutely excluded as an audience, but misogyny is alive and well in 2019, and our voices as women need to be uplifted. this is exemplified by the fact that caleb was given far, far, far too much screentime in the cartoon so that the show could reach a young, male audience, and his characters was mangled by chauvinistic tendencies. thank u, next.

i have my own preferences wrt to ships, but i think we can all agree that introducing male characters as mere plot devices for drama/conflict only to put them ‘on a bus’ when theyre no longer useful is just plain bad writing. this is a critique levelled both at the cartoon and comics, but largely the comics (see: Eric)(rip in peace).

i also believe that sticking to the conventions of a particular genre, or hybrid genre, would be preferable if a w.i.t.c.h reboot were to take place. some shows get it right, but I’ve seen a ton of shows go off the rails when they try to be a fantasy/comedy/crime/drama/horror/sci-fi/occult/soap-opera extravaganza all in one. i reckon a YA fantasy drama with comedic moments, something with a similar vibe to Shadowhunters or The Shannara Chronicles, could work really well. if we’re talking animated reboot, something with a similar tonal atmosphere to The Dragon Prince or Into the Spiderverse, would also be great

this shouldnt even need to be said but please, for the love of god, no musical episodes (heres looking at you, Riverdale).

i think i speak on everyones behalf when i say that, irrespective of the age demographic of the show, LGBT rep in w.i.t.c.h would be amazing. irma/cornelia have always been a practically canon fan favourite, but cassidy and nerissa’s relationship is definitely more than strictly platonic, so that could be developed upon too. trans/nonbinary!will is also a popular headcanon that could work. once there are lgbt heroes, and not just lgbt villains, i think we’ll all be happy.

similarly, seeing some neurodivergency in the characters could also be great: elyon dealing with pts after the fallout with phobos; irma struggling with adhd in school or college; hay lin and taranee also exhibit some traits of anxiety in canon. autistic!will would also work, and someone else in the squad is bound to be affected by depression given its pervasive nature these days.

much and all as i adore the guardian outfits, i think there would need to be a few changes made. the midriff-and-leg-baring get-ups, though very cute, become very jarring when you realise the characters are meant to range in age from 12 to 14. i dont have any specific thoughts on how improvements could be made, but lengthening hemlines could be a start. if anyone has any more thoughts, i’d love to hear them!

of course, there needs to be women in the writers room, lgbt people in the writers room, poc in the writers room, people with neurodivergencies in the writers room, etc. we all know what happens when writers rooms lack diversity, and it sure as hell aint pretty.

body diversity was something that was tentatively approached in the comics (irma is curvier than the others, at least in her mundane form), but eschewed almost entirely in the cartoon, with all the girls maintaining similar heights and waifish proportions. it would be worthwhile, not to mention realistic, for the girls to go through some body-image hang ups. maybe will is insecure about her ‘underdeveloped’ body, or maybe taranee longs to have the same curvaceous figures as other dancers her age. i think if they were to go for a message of body positivity, irma, loud and brash with no fucks to give, should love every inch of her fat body and encourage the girls to adopt her 'devil-may-care’ attitude. the patriarchy be damned.

one flaw with the comics AND the cartoons are that they dont really explore the worldbuilding a lot. we do spend some time on meridian in the comics and the cartoon, but largely from the perspective of either elyon, or caleb and the rebels. i wonder what a day on meridian would look like for the average meridianite peasant? what do meridianites do for fun? what language(s) do they speak? what are their religious/spiritual belief(s)? what are the styles of dress dictated by? meridian is based on medieval societies, and a caste system is suggested, but i would have loved to see the social hierarchies expanded on a little more. does the matriarchal nature of meridian rule value women and their labour? what about LGBT people on meridian? people with disabilities and neurodivergencies? is there any discrimination against the different species on meridian? in fact, i dont know if it was ever explicitly outlined to us the different species of peoples on meridian, in the cartoon or the comics. honestly id be happy to see a filler, AtLA Tales of Ba Sing Se-esque episode on meridian to cover all of these bases

one thing i loved from the comics that didnt translate as well in the cartoon were the girls’ passions and interests. will is obsessed with frogs, she rides her bike to her job at pet store, she swims, stresses over math homework. irma loves music and talking to her pet turtle, leafy; i could totally see her doing a stint at the college radio station or working part time at a record store. cornelia loves ice skating and has received tons of awards and accolades for her achievements on the ice. taranee is an avid photographer and dancer, but i could totally see her spending her spare time at rallies and protests too. hay lin is a proficient artist, making her own clothes and poring over paintings between shifts at the silver dragon. all of these things and more are what make these characters so well-rounded, relatable, likeable. their hobbies need to be weaved into the fabric of the show (not just brought up once for a silly plot device in cornelia’s case, or never brought up at all in taranee’s, as seen in the cartoon) in order for it to work

live action reboot thoughts:

this should go out without saying, but a live action w.i.t.c.h reboot should cast actors of colour to play characters of colour. hay lin, and by extension her family, need to be played by Chinese actors, while taranee needs to be played by a black actor, preferably one of east asian descent, etc. if they add a little more diversity to the cast i would be totally pleased. latina!irma is a popular headcanon that i ascribe to, and will has always been kinda ambiguously brown, so adding less ambiguous representation for poc to the cast would really be excellent

of course, age-appropriate casting is a must. more specifically, there should not be any 25-30 year olds playing characters in their mid-late teens, unless ofc they could actually pass for the age they are trying to play. shows like The OA and The End of the Fucking World really get this right (most other teen/YA dramas, not so much. less of the chiseled abs and rock hard pecs on teens, please)

this one might be tricky to get right, particularly with budget constraints, but i think a really good CGI/visual effects team is necessary for a w.i.t.c.h reboot to work. unless an adequate amount of the budget is spent on making sure the magic looks realistic, almost plausible, it will make everything else look cheap by comparison

also, this is more of a personal preference, but i’d love to see someone with a really beautiful visual aesthetic and scope of cinematography. i’m talking Sense8-esque levels of cinematographic beauty

i’m really rambling now but, similarly, it’d be so cool to see someone who could use lighting/colour theory in very particular ways. in Marvel’s Netflix Originals, each character has their own theme colour; in Jessica Jones, for example, all of the scenes are very blue and almost leeched of warmth, while in Luke Cage there seems to be a warm yellow filter over everything. how cool would it be if all Taranee-centric scenes had a slight gold hue? or if all of cornelia’s scenes were lit with green? maybe all of the colours could combine in the a subtle yet effective way when all of the guardians are together to show their unity and combined strength.

thoughts on an animated reboot:

i know very little about animation so these thoughts will be brief, but an art and animation style something like that of Into the Spiderverse would be really gorgeous. it is fluid, dynamic, beautiful to look at and, most importantly, reflects the comic format in a moving image perfectly. alternatively, the animation studio behind The Legend of Korra could also be wonderful. the visual effects used for magic would look absolutely incredible

one thing i have to praise the Jetix cartoon for is their choice of voice actors, which were, in many cases, spot on. while cornelia’s VA was annoying and shrill, the actors playing characters of colour were themselves people of colour. if an animated reboot was on the cards, i think it could be a great opportunity to once again include some diversity to the cast, namely hiring actors of colour to play characters of colour

please let no one who worked on voltron near a w.i.t.c.h animated reboot with a ten foot pole. no i will not elaborate

tl;dr at the risk of sounding like an entitled millennial, a w.i.t.c.h reboot should be less about creating something entirely new for a brand new audience, and more about building on what the longtime fans of w.i.t.c.h already love and bringing it forward for the older generation. all on all, we grew up with w.i.t.c.h, so it’s time for us to have our reboot. thanks for coming to my TED talk!

nnnnope! no siblings and no close family outside his immediate family

What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?

as a child it was really rocky, as his father wasn’t. the Greatest and she took her frustrations out on him in the form of verbal abuse. after he had gone to live in america for a year and came back, she had gotten better and their relationship started to get better. currently it’s still not great as you can’t really, grow past abuse, but, it’s better than before. he relies on her and loves her still but there’s always that feeling of hurt.

What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?

not. good. his father was extremely abusive to both him and his mom, physically, verbally, emotionally, etc. after moving to america and living with just his dad for a year, it stayed almost the same and turned jamie around completely from how he was before. so his dad is not, exactly on great terms with him

Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?

the....fourth or fifth murder in the game is what really got to him i think. from a “eh this will be over with soon” to just “oh. this is serious.” kind of mood and it does Not make him feel good. he tries to keep this under covers since he does have an image to maintain, but who knows if others have picked up on this.

his phone, a pack of cigarettes, and a lighter. if he’s going out to the store you’ll find a wallet in there with his money and school id and whatever ids else you can find there.

not really? he tends to have those kind of weird dreams where everything is a wild ride though

a lot of them have to do with being unseen unless he does something extravagant. as of late he’s been having many dreams of him in other people’s bodies finding himself/his mom/candy dead, and not caring about it.

nope! he’s always been pretty well off, around the upper middle class.

he’s had, several near death situations in a variety of ways. bad abuse from partners, accidents, depression, and the killing game. outside of death he doesn’t really have any fears, so any time he feels like he’s about to it scares him to near death (lol).

he’s EXTREMELY calm around candy, the calmest i think would have to be when he could just, lay with her and sleep next to her.

platonic relationships, he doesn’t know how to exactly, talk to people. he’s never really had friends and his one friend he made on complete accident (invited her to live with him on accident, she took it up, they grew close and suddenly were friends), so he doesn’t know WHAT to do to be appealing to speak to. candy is generally okay with this as she’s not great with it either and their relationship was built on trust and compassion more than speaking. romantic relationships he can’t stay loyal as he gets bored extremely easily. it’s really hard to get to what actually keeps him interested in someone and this. ruins a lot of relationships and causes rumors quite often

in a way, he tends to think of himself as a different category than everyone he meets, putting himself apart from them. it’s more of a isolation tactic than anything, but can be considered self-validation. he has been catching himself criticizing himself lately when comparing himself though as time goes on in this situation.

he does blame himself for what happens, fully believing he may have done something in this life or a past life to cause bad things to happen to him.

well, wisdom is one. but he likes how people think, and you’ll often catch him analyzing others actions to see how they think. he likes people who are more critical of what they’re doing and can admit to their faults with ease. though, he also does like to see stubborn people when he knows they’re in the right. he also tends to gravitate more towards people he finds to be similar to him

What does your character dislike in other people?

he DOES NOT LIKE people who are too sure of themselves, too full of themselves, or both. negative people he tends to avoid as well. he’s not really judgy outside of that tbh.

How quick is your character to trust someone else?

he’s a generally trusting person tbh. unless someone gives him reason to distrust right off the bat he’ll probably hold some trust in them.

even the smallest of relations to something can cause suspicion in him, ofc there’s exceptions (i.e. michiko during genta’s murder) but he’s not easily trusting in that. it changes slightly if he’s close but he does like to stay true to how he normally puts himself out as.

he’s pretty good around children tbh he’s a dad character

on a bad day, badly, maybe even taking it near to a physical fight. he’s not exactly good at controlling himself if he’s upset. though on a good day, he’ll just go along with whatever he’s being confronted for, apologize or w/e, and go on with his day.

like i stated before, on a bad day it is a very quick reaction to start violence but he holds himself back as much as he can

he never had something he wanted to be, it wasn’t ever something he thought of. tbh he still doesn’t know what he wants to be or do, he’s just...living.

remove a problem/threat. he’s not afraid to get into shit even if it’ll likely hurt or even kill him. it’s just what’s best in his mind. removing himself won’t stop it.

knowing his stupid child ass yeah, probably. he was, probably not super happy about it and as a kid he was a lot more ruthless and his response was not. good

a little bit of both. he thinks he deserves it because of the hardships in his life, but at the same time he doesn’t? and believes everything happens for a reason and he needs to do something good to get something good.

he believes in both reincarnation and also the concept of heaven/hell. he would like to believe he’ll reincarnate, and if not at least get into heaven but knows deep down that he. probably will go to hell.
