#tops in my actual torso size never fit me well bc of my chest. do i really need to wear a sports bra under every single top and dress i own#just to get clothes that should fit me to actually fit me without weird tenting or lifting of fabric anywhere#ive had clothes fit me like a glove around my shoulders arms waist etc but still had to go 2 (!!) sizes up bc of abysmal room for my chest#as of right now i have a D cup. i have a VERY average build for my demographic.#and yet my measurements seem extremely outlandish for 98-99% of clothing manufacturers that dont charge 80 bucks for a tshirt#made this post bc i scrolled thru too many clothes i could very obviously see were not designed to accommodate any cup size#even scaled up in the larger sizes. which is just sad at this point. its almost 2024. cmon.#also i love me some boxy clothing but to get a nice silhouette in that you better not have any boobs.#woe. woe is me and all femme clothing enthusiasts#anyways i'm off to look for dresses without straps without necklines without cutouts without anything cool interesting happening up top#so i can wear a sports bra under it to have it fit me. and avoid popping the third button upon 5 minutes of wearing it#back on my bs#sorry for long post i'm utterly sick of everything for a bit

Goldwork repair, finished! Neckline trim, pinned in place! Time to start sewing this trim to the dress, woot.
#RRD cosplay#my cosplay#my sewing#Dragon Con prep#Dragon Con 2023#somehow the center back turned out just slightly steeper of a V than the center front#they SHOULD have been identical but eh#I wouldn't have even noticed it if not for the mirror pattern of the neckline trim#it's off by millimeters maybe#but really as long as it's symmetrical left to right it's fine#front to back was never going to actually be symmetrical by the end anyway#okay gonna post these progress pics to IG then start handsewing the trim down#probably from center back working towards the shoulders#since getting the center back sewn down is what is blocking the grommeting phase#the front and shoulders can get done whenever#but it'd be nice to start grommeting tomorrow
