Any suggestions on where to start for repairing a computer chair? It's an Expense i can't quite afford to get a new one, and save the flattened cushioning and some tears in the fabric the chair is fine just uncomfy for more than a few minutes at a time. I've looked a bit on Google and youtube but it's mostly how to fix a sinking chair or suggesting to just buy a new one (with the phrases I am using)

Mending a computer chair

Computer chairs can be so expensive!

There's quite a lot of similar projects over at r/Visiblemending.

If the cushion is flattening, you'll have to add new foam to it. You'll have to open up the seat to be able to do this, but this shouldn't be too hard as it's already sporting tears.

As for the tears: you could either mend the tears or recover the entire chair. Glueing patches of fabric across the tears will likely be the easiest option, but sewing them shut is also an option if you have access to an upholstery needle.
