I remember when I was a kid, there was an episode of Looney Toons where a mad scientist had made a doll to be his perfect wife, but he needed a heart to complete her... it, of course, led to Antics, capital A, but the idea stuck with me. So, for horror: Oikawa or Kuroo is in the same situation, in need of a heart/soul to bring their bride to life, and Yamaguchi or Kunimi as the unwilling donor.

Whenever Tooru thinks about how close his bride is to being finished, his heart flutters a little in his chest; his limbs and internal wiring are all together, his body limp in the guest bedroom of Tooru’s apartment as his chest lay open and empty. His Iwa-chan is almost perfect, but the heart, the soul he’d had before just wasn’t what Tooru was looking for. He’d been far too brash and mean, and even after rewiring the brain he was just still too cold-hearted for Tooru’s liking. Those muscular arms are absolutely delectable with how well sculpted they are, but they aren’t very fun to enjoy when they’re punching him. 

So his heart needed replacing. And Kunimi Akira is just the person to provide that heart for him. 

Akira-chan is a stubborn little thing. He’s generally quite lazy and listless, and when he doesn’t want to do something he’ll bitch and moan, but even still Akira has a natural wit that matches Tooru’s quite well. It’d s plus that he’s not as violence-based when trying to come up with solutions to problems. Unlike Iwa-chan’s old heart. His bride’s personality needs to be complimentary to Tooru’s own, not a ruthless brute. 

The stubbornness does pose one small issue, however. 

“Akira-chan, if you keep moving I’m going to hurt you~” 

Akira, struggling against the rope binding his hands to the table, grunts and tries to speak from behind his gag. Tooru clucks his tongue. 

“What I’m doing right now isn’t going to hurt if you just cooperate. You’ll be unconscious. But if you keep moving, I’m not going to be able to stick you with the sedatives, and I’m on a bit of a time crunch, Akira-chan. So please stop moving~” 

Akira’s eyes harden and he growls; he doesn’t stop trying to wriggle out of his restraints. Tooru sighs. He sets the syringe down on the table next to him and grabs a knife instead. 

“Alright. We’ll do it the hard way, then...”

OiKuni

I didn’t think much of this ship until I thought about it and...

I couldn’t choose between KinKuni or IwaKin, but if it was IwaKin... THIS would be their counterpart.

Tooth-rottingly sweet coffee dates. Literally, because Oikawa has a very particular latte he never strays from that has like tons of sugar and masses of cream, and he buys Kunimi more salted caramel chocolates than he can physically eat and even ends up having to take a doggy bag.

Oikawa tries everything in his power to make Kunimi smile as much as possible. This earns him little bruises on his good knee whenever Kunimi gets too embarrassed, but he doesn't care because Kunimi looks cute when he's blushing.

Matching bitchfaces.

Oh, and their matching dislike for Kageyama. Kunimi knows more dirt about Kags than Oikawa, and revels in telling him e v e r y t h i n g.

Kunimi isn't above teasing Oikawa, like anyone, and he's usually the more flustered of the two despite Kunimi's lack of effort. Anything Oikawa does rash is easily quelled by a kiss on the cheek because he practically melts.

Bonus when Oikawa is being particularly down on himself, Kunimi will pull him aside and tell him how much he's valued. When Oikawa first discovers that Kunimi has a real way with words, he's pleasantly surprised. He finds out why when Kindaichi has a bad panic attack in front of the team and Kunimi calms him down.

When the team finds out about the two, they're fully supportive. 

Hanamaki lost a bet to Matsukawa. He’s always been too observant for his own good.

Iwaizumi is apprehensive, threatens to pummel Oikawa if anything bad happens, and warns Kunimi of everything he has already dealt with. Kunimi has no issues, says as much but thanks him for his concern, and that's as much as Iwaizumi really says on the matter.

Kindaichi already knew way beforehand since Kunimi never keeps a secret from him, but officially gives his blessing with lots of blushing and a warning that he'll lose all respect he has for Oikawa if he hurts Kunimi. It's probably the scariest Kindaichi has ever been, saying that, and even though it doesn't seem much of a threat, Oikawa thinks he would rather die than be seen like that by one of his precious kouhai.

But he treats Kunimi like a prince anyway, threat or no.

The words left a heavy silence in the tent. The crowd outside was cheering while Akira grabbed his broomstick, not even bothering to change, and walked past his silent teammates out of the door.

The next morning Akira woke up at sunrise. He got dressed as usual, layering his shirt, tie, sweater and robe. He winced as he crouched down to put his shoes on. He was still sore from the Quidditch match the day before. He glanced at his broomstick, haphazardly lying in the corner next to his bed. He tore his gaze away and glanced outside to check the weather. He cursed himself the moment he became aware of his habit.  

Akira quietly left the dorm so Kindaichi wouldn’t wake up. Then he carefully peeked in the common room. It was empty. He walked along swiftly, his footsteps on the stone floor echoing through the large corridors.  

The Great Hall was almost empty, only a handful students sat at their respective tables. Akira headed straight to the Slytherin table and sat down at the very end of it. He couldn’t remember when he had last been up this early on a weekday. Usually Kindaichi had to drag him out of the bed every morning, they were always the last ones to get to their morning classes.

he and the rest of the seijoh four gang have claimed a corner on the roof as their lunch spot and everyone probably respects it. usually it's just them, but occasionally he invites some of their kouhai ( usually kunimi and kindaichi ).

almost always sits next to iwaizumi too.

definitely at the top of his class, or at least near there.

he takes the prettiest color coded notes and the girls in the class constantly ask to borrow his pens to the point where he just brings extras. his notes also have little alien/volleyball related doodles all over them and it's just about the cutest thing ever.

is the type of senpai to tutor his kouhai ( totally not based off that one oikuni fan art where he helps kunimi study for a test 👀 ).

almost always almost late on days where they don't have morning practice.

always does well on partnered projects, but prefers to work alone ( or with one of his friends).

started wearing his glasses to school after the karasuno v. shiratorizawa match bc he thinks they make him look more sophisticated.

kunimi is his favorite first year kouhai and it absolutely shows. oikawa is a mama bear change my mind.

How many children my hq ships would have: TsukkiYama: Three. MAYBE four, but only after the eldest two leave home.  KageHina: One. Kageyama did not like being pregnant at ALL.  EnnoTanaNoya: Three. Ennoshita is quite fine with stopping there, thank you. 

BokuAkaKuroKen: Five. Guess who the “I want a big family” members of the polycule are. (One for kuroken, two for bokuaka, one for bokuken, annnd they aren’t sure who the father for Akaashi’s oldest is but don’t particularly care.) 

YakuShiba: One. They’re undecided on if they’ll have more in the future.

KyouYaha: Two, but the second of them is waaaaaaaaay after the first, to his dismay (he wants to be a big brother!).

KinKuni: One. They’ll have more later, but Kunimi needs time, he’s still worn out from the first. AoMoni: Two. They’d have more, but carrying Aone’s babies can... be a bit of a strain on poor Moniwa. 

TenSemi: One... for now. Tendou is good with the kid but he’s secretly worried he’s not and has trouble telling Semi he isn’t confident as a father.

AtsuKita: Three. Kita was very motivated by the idea of his grandmother meeting her great-grandchildren.

OiYama: Four. Oikawa can’t help himself. KuroYama: Five. Believe it or not Kuroo is holding back when he’s with BokuAkaKen. 

IwaYama: Four. Look me in the eyes and tell me Iwaizumi wouldn’t want a big family.

ShimaYama: Two. Not too crazy, maybe a third down the line.

KageTada: Two, about five years apart. If they have anymore it will probably be a ways off.

FutaMoni: Two. Futakuchi already has his hands full with just them. KamaMoni: Four. Kamasaki is also in the “big family” gang.

SasaMoni: One. Sasaya strikes me as a fairly moderate guy. Maybe two, but only once the first is old enough that they can take care of themselves.

OiKage: Three. Just because Oikawa likes seeing Kageyama struggling to get about once he’s really far along. 

OiKuni: Two. Kunimi looks cute pregnant. 

MatsuHanaKuni: Four. Kunimi looks REALLY cute pregnant. Save him.

ToraKen: Two or three. I think Tora has more restraint on such matters than he might first seem. 

AkaEnno: One or two. They’re trying to be responsible.

Why I like them: He’s incredibly serious and focused, his competitive side burns like fire, but he’s also a giant dork off the court. Best of both worlds! But he’s also very kind to his fanclub, like, he interacts with them and accepts their gifts.

 Why I don’t: Sometimes, he seems really fake.

 Favorite episode: I- I don’t think I can narrow it down…

 Favorite season: Season 2!

 Why I like them: He’s amazing!!! Not just as a blocker, but he’s really strategic too, like in the match against Karasuno where he came up with the solution against Hinata’s quick!

 Favourite episode: The one where he figures out how to limit Hinata’s quick!

 Favourite season: 2!!!!

 Favourite line: “TANTANMEN!” I can’t spell, but that’s when he called out his ramen order for if Oikawa missed his serve.

 Why I like them: He’s incredible!!! Not only is he highly motived, but holy smokes, talk about character development! He went from Cinnamon Bun to “Will kill for a money.”!

 Why I don’t: Originally, I didn’t like that he was a bit of a pushover. But his development in Season 2 erased that, especially during the training camp!

 Favourite episode: Can- Can I say all of them?

 Favourite season: Season 3!

 Favourite line: “I want to be able to make my body move right! I want to control the ball! I want to play on the same level as the other, better players!”

 Favourite outfit: In the match against Hinata, Kageyama and Tanaka, where he wears the black shorts and maroon jumper!

 Head canon: I like to think that he as a single mother, and they’re very close knit, despite the fact that she travels the world so he basically lives alone.

 Unpopular opinion: His freckles aren’t stars. They’re sunspots! Freckles appear after extended time in the sun, so he’s a really outdoorsy person.

 A wish: I wish he’d score 10 in a row like Hinata told him to!

 An oh-god-please-don’t-ever-happen: Like, a shoulder injury? Cus then he wouldn’t be able to serve!

Kindaichi Yuutaro.

 Why I like them: Oh my god I love him so much he’s my precious son, he deserves the WORLD. He’s spiteful to those he doesn’t like, true to himself, but an absolute sweetheart with the aobajousai team. He’s like, their child. His main concern is that girls call him lanky and his name means Brave First Son, like, can he get any more perfect???? He’s also a Gemini like me, so I’m biased. XD

 Why I don’t: I can’t answer this. My heart will break.

 Favourite episode: ALL OF THEM

 Favourite season: Ahhhh- 1 and 2? Can I pick both?

 Favourite line: “N-No! Yes!” “Which is it?”

 Favourite outfit: His big volleyball jumper! The one he wears over the normal uniform outside of games.

 OTP: IWAKIN IWAKIN IWAKIN. But also MatsuKin, HanaKin, OiKin, KinKuni, and KyouKin, plus any polyships within that. I’m also warming up to KinHina and YamaKin.

 BROTP: Yahaba and Kindaichi! Throw Watari in there too and I call them the gossip squad.

 Head canon: He doesn’t have a good relationship with his parents. His mother is barely around because she’s too busy being a scumbag, and his father has been in jail as long as he can remember. He doesn’t know the full reason why, but apparently it’s something that his mother says “doesn’t even matter”. (Spoiler, it’s multiple counts of child abuse. It does matter.)

 Unpopular opinion: His hair!! Is perfect!!! Leave him alone!!!

 A wish: I really want him to be vice-captain and Ace in his third year. And I wanna see him crush Kageyama. On a friendly basis, of course!

 An oh-god-please-don’t-ever-happen: P l e a s e don’t cry anymore. Oh god, that breaks my heart. I NEVER WANT HIM TO BE HURT SO HE CRIES AGAIN. (yet I write so much angst about him…)
