god. the girls never get the chance to really know each other. they were so young before the crash. half of them don’t even seem overly close? and then there’s the big gap between the team and jv, most of whom died. what can they even report back to the parents of the jv girls? all they can say about rachel at her own memorial is that she had tickets to an oasis concert and was good at trig. and the ones who don’t die out there will never know themselves or each other as anything but the people they became. they never got the chance to be anything but those people. the pre-crash girls and the lives they might’ve lived no longer exist.
