Overly Analyzing; Favourite Scene in Bowser's Inside Story
Well, analyzing is a bit of a stretch. I moreso just want to highlight my favourite small interaction from this game!
After the main incident that kickstarts the plot of this game, which is Bowser inhaling most of our main cast (no, I'm not kidding. Bowser's Inside Story is a literal title LOL) we control Mario as he tries to find the others.
After reuniting with Starlow, the first person he finds, of course, is Luigi. And yes, this is what inside of Bowser looks like. Just don't think too hard on it.
Luigi jumps back up, takes a couple of glances around their current predicament, and...
-immediately bursts into tears and falls onto his knees, clinging onto Mario. Aww.
Very clear example of Luigi being prone to crying when overwhelmed! But of course, there's no judgement on Mario's end. Hell, the moment isn't even really played for laughs narrative wise, considering Starlow doesn't chime in until after the fact.
Instead, we just get Mario being happy to comfort Luigi. He holds him back and gently pats him while he cries. Mario doesn't think any less of Luigi for have a brief emotional breakdown; they're in a scary and unfamiliar situation! Most people would be rattled and upset, especially someone who is as anxious and scares easily like Luigi, but he at least has someone to comfort him. It's a very sweet moment.
In the remake this scene is largely the same, albeit with different graphics. They do add one cute detail which I find very fun.
The scene is interrupted by some enemies spawning. In the remake, Mario straightens up and repeatedly taps Luigi's back, noticeably quicker than the gentle pats he was giving earlier, to get his attention.
We get a very quick reaction animation of Luigi turning his head while still holding onto Mario, which I just find, so cute. It's a very blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, but it's attention to detail that adds some good personality that I adore out of this series.

I love the idea of big bad Bowser being great with kids whilst Luigi is fucking awful at anything to do with children
Imagine Bowser and Luigi have a kid together like either Luigi is trans or they adopt a baby or something ,, and Luigi as we know in canon is terrible with babies. So he’s trying his best and is incredibly loving but BOY does he have a lot to learn. The baby is crying every time he holds them yet somehow bowser knows just how to get them to fall asleep peacefully. Everyone expects Bowser to be the wild slightly irresponsible one who plays with the kid a little too rough ,, but in reality bowser has had so much experience with kids previously he’s actually perfect. LUIGI ON THE OTHER HAND— his first time cleaning a nappy and he’s just scrunching up his nose doing it all wrong and getting anxious because HOW THE HECK DO YOU CHANGE A NAPPY?? So bowser calms him down and helps him do it. Luigi tries to make the baby eat and he gradually gets more impatient because it just won’t do as he says,, then bowser swoops in does the whole airplane thing. Eventually Luigi gets the hang of things and has less emotional breakdowns about being a bad dad, bowser tells him ‘you love them and that’s the most important thing’. Basically Luigi is super inexperienced but he’s trying his best and he’s got his husband by his side to comfort him.
Baby: blrlrblrlrbl
Luigi: I DON’T SPEAK GOOGOO GAGA

So I was just on TvTropes and I saw that someone had pointed out that in the DiC cartoon continuity, Mario and Luigi aren't twins. Due to the live action bit called Dance showing Mario throwing a birthday party for Luigi and only Luigi. Guess that's something to add to the lore pile. (Would also add more context to that one born with a plunger joke.)
Ah yes, see not every Mario and Luigi are twins. Brothers still; but the pairs from the cartoons and the 1993 movie are not.
It's not stated in the new movie...but seeing as the characters and worlds are based on the games, and the Mario and Luigi from the games ARE twins (stated mostly in sports and party games but still counts!), it's fair to assume that movie Mario and Luigi are also twins.
I mean...come on, there's no way there's an age gap between these two babies!
- - -
I mean, when you think about it, back in the 80s and 90s, there was hardly any confirmation of the brother's age - hence Mario only celebrating Luigi's birthday in the Super Show.
And in the 1993 movie, the age gap of the actors was quite large - so that also contributed to them being different ages.
