Lahki borovničevi mafini
Torek, 24. januar 2023
Sestavine: 375 g bele moke, 1 žlička pecilnega praška, 200 g sladkorja v prahu (po receptu 220 g), 125 ml sončničnega olja, 125 ml mleka, 1 žlička vanilije, 1 jajce, 100 g (po receptu 300 g) borovnic
V skledi pomešamo moko, pecilni prašek in sladkor v prahu. Naredimo jamico. V jamico zlijemo olje, sveže mleko, jajce in vanilin. Najprej premešamo sestavine v jamici, potem pa jih pomešamo z drugimi sestavinami. Mešamo, dokler zmes ne postane gladka. Dodamo borovnice in previdno premešamo. Pekač za mafine namastimo in jih napolnimo z zmesjo. Mafine pečemo v predhodno ogreti pečici 30-35 minut na 180 stopinjah C.

Grammar: Ikke
'Ikke' (not) was mentioned on day 2, so let's quickly look at it in some sentences:
Jeg liker ikke ost. (I don't like cheese)
Hun spiser ikke egg. (She doesn't eat eggs/She's not eating eggs)
De er ikke sultne. (They aren't hungry)
In simple sentences, 'ikke' comes after the verb. It gets a bit more complicated when you start making longer sentences or you want to add nuance. Don't worry about that for now though.
In questions, 'ikke' comes after the subject:
Liker du ikke smørbrød? (Don't you like sandwiches?)
Spiser dere ikke frokost? (Don't you eat breakfast?)
Er han ikke sulten? (Isn't he hungry?)
Words like always (alltid), never (aldri) and only (bare) follow the same pattern:
Vi spiser alltid egg til frokost (We always eat eggs for breakfast)
Hen har aldri smør på smørbrødene sine (They never have butter on their sandwiches)
Spiser du bare den brødskiva? (Are you only eating that slice of bread?)
Til frokost/lunsj/middag
To say you eat something *for breakfast/lunch/dinner, use the preposition 'til':
Hva spiser du til middag? (What do you eat for dinner?)
Hun spiser smørbrød til lunsj (She eats sandwiches for lunch)

Were you trained to do personal va work? Or were you trained to do the work you do now as virtual assistant?
I trained myself for 5 months, some took a year, there's even a decade of journey before landing on a client. What I mean is, it's a trial and error thing if you want to train yourself.
No youtube tutorials, paid trainings and webinars can help if you're not dedicated to teach yourself. Feeling down and demotivation is a part though, I rested for 2 months. I almost gave up.
Anyway, with my experience, Youtube videos helped big time (everything's on google, just know what keyword to search) + taking the risk to apply without any experiences + learning the how's/do's + getting rejected/ ghosted by employer + settling for less (low salary, overwhelming tasks) + and paying for a 7 hours live video training (which truly gave me a lot of knowledge)
I experienced crying so hard every night because I was hired by a client providing overwhelming tasks every single day and pays really low. It was pressuring. But I took it as an experience to be added on my resume and portfolio.
I did all I could. I must say, it's all worth it now. I applied to the job post from OLJ, while having all the skills I gained from the past. When I created a portfolio a few months ago, I was questioning myself why the hell was I making it. I finished my portfolio in a week, it took me long because of demotivation. (As I said, demotivation is a part of it).
I took all the opportunities that accepts the "beginners" and made them all as a part of "experiences" in my resume and portfolio. I, then, found a service that helps me enhance how my resume looks like. I was so confident to apply afterwards.
And now, since my resume, portfolio, and video presentation, everything seem so professional now than before. I was feeling proud because I can now pass a portfolio, when in the beginning I couldn't even provide a single experience to an employer.
And when I was hired by this client full of blessings, I never knew that the portfolio I created while being demotivated helped so much. The client provided a few trainings, as he always does when he wants me to do a new task, which I found too easy to be learned by a techy person, but without my existing skills, I wouldn't be able to offer him something better than what he expected.
So he raised my salary. :)
