ends up taking to you to a local carnival because last minute plans, but y’all both love the energy so it was fun and a way for y’all to spend time together

had no clue what to get you and also didn’t have the time to get anything for you, so he ended up giving you one of his sweatshirts for long term (not like you steal them anyway or anything) but you didn’t really care because he was a gift himself :((

wins you one of those huge plushy stuffed animals from a water gun game and feels like a whole boss

has another mental breakdown when he sees you jumping up and down with that stuffed toy and cannot process that you are actually his girlfriend of an official year :(

tells you he loves you on the top of the ferris wheel while the fireworks are going off like ‘boom, i love you y/n, happy anniversary’ and then gets all shy because he usually doesn’t say things like that

was away on tour during y’alls first anniversary and feels like absolute shit because he wants to be with you so he flies over, yeah, fans are a lil confused but you were first priority

what was ten times worse was that you were sick and you didn’t tell him so there was like a mini argument that eventually ended up with him cuddling you for like three hours

you guys don’t even go anywhere, it’s just a cozy day at the (empty) dorm and y’all just made a lil meal together and it was just the two of you

took his time to make a polaroid collection of just you, there’re just a buncha candid pictures of you that you don’t really remember him taking at...all but there’s a little message at the end that puts all of junnie’s feelings into words and it’s just :( 

has to fly back literally the next morning but he blows your mind that night hehe ;)

Hey! I see you have good story telling recs for like video games and stuff and I just got a ps4, is there anything you recommend? I have wolf among us and Detroit become human on my list THATS all I have so far

omg girl u have come to the RIGHT place ! story-based games are my shit ok... im gonna start by doing a lil self-plug which is that i’m streaming one i really love called firewatch tonight (at 7pm PST hehe) on my twitch so we can start with that one. its such a pretty game and has a really touching story. but that aside, non-exhaustive list below:

the last of us — i havent played the second one yet, but both 1&2 are playstation exclusive i believe and the first one is probably one of the greatest games ever made. better than most movies i’ve watched story-wise; i fell in love with the characters and i doubt anyone could play this without shedding a few tears.

the walking dead by telltale — same studio that made the wolf among us (which i fucking love also), and all four seasons of this game are a masterpiece. clementine is probably my all time favorite video game character, and there were some side characters who i really sobbed over during the course of the game. plus all the characters you play as are characters of color so there’s a specific attention to diverse viewpoints there!

life is strange — i would hope you’d have played this already if you like story games, but if not, go play the original game ASAP (LiS2 is alright, but the first one is what really shines) and you can also play the prequel before the storm. beautiful atmosphere, attention to detail, gameplay mechanics, etc. good good shit

dragon age — HELLO my fave shit omg, again not to self-plug but i’m gonna be doing a stream series of this and starting with an intro to the lore for beginners because there is serious worldbuilding for these games and the storylines are immaculate. there’s three so far and including the various DLC you will be entertained for weeks if not months.

mass effect — made by the same studio as dragon age, essentially it’s dragon age in space. same great characters, worldbuilding, plotlines, etc. just... ignore andromeda and only play the main three ME games.

uncharted — i will fucking die for naughty dog games omg so they also made the last of us plus all 4 uncharted games and these ones are SO much fun. much less emotional turmoil, think indiana jones in the present day with an extra serving of wisecracking banter and there you go. really excellent fully fleshed out female characters as well. nathan drake is a treasure.

until dawn — more of a horror game but has weirdly excellent actors (hello rami malek???) and a super cool/creepy story with not so much focus on combat (more QTE based) which helps when you’re just there to be entertained. i love this game, i’m not a huge horror person myself but it’s just so good and your choices really impact the outcome.

oxenfree — deeply underrated game with some of my favorite voice acting ever, such a gorgeous art style, and an incredible and resonant story. so much lore to unpack here too, this game was really made with so much love (like there is deadass a morse code message hidden in the beat of the main song that leads to an irl mystery... google that shit its so cool) and it has major replay value. lots of choices to make and they all impact the ending in a ton of ways.

pillars of eternity — i actually liked the second one more than the first one and i enjoyed them both a lot so that’s saying something! you can play on easy mode and ignore the fighting and there’s tons of quests and choices to make and an interesting story/mystery to uncover. plus in the second one you get a pirate ship.

divinity original sin 2 — played this recently and it’s definitely more of a combat game, but as with POE you can just play on the easiest setting lol and then explore the game for its world and storyline. similar to POE in that it’s quest-based as well, the characters are super well done, and it’s all voice-acted which is nice.

star wars knights of the old republic (aka KOTOR) — listen this game is old as hell and looks like ass but its so good. idk what else to say i mean its literally like 20 years old and people are still playing it. there’s a ton of mods you can download to make it look better, but the storyline and the plot twist hold up as one of the all time greats. i’ve replayed it and the sequel multiple times. even if you don’t like star wars, worth it.

stardew valley — HELLO THIS GAME IS SO CUTE its essentially just harvest moon and yes it’s pixel graphics but it’s so charming and the characters are very enchanting. there’s not a ton of story but it’s still worth a play as it’s just very soothing and earnest. i’ve logged like 200+ hours in this game lmao

hopefully you haven’t heard of all of these already!! i love all of these games and i love sharing story-based recs because there aren’t a lot of them out there. if anyone knows of any other good ones please drop ur thoughts in the replies!

This was a SUPER FUN EPISODE! I couldn’t really tell where they were going and I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! I wish we had gotten Huey in some wrestling gear but maybe next time. I like the message that doing the right thing isn’t always popular but I kind of feel like Dewey getting the crowd on his side muddled the message somewhat. Poor Dewey needs therapy or something so he doesn’t feel like he needs CONSTANT approval. Again, he’s 11 YEARS OLD and shouldn’t be put into such a serious position. LP was VIP this episode. I’m bummed we’re on hiatus again, but WHAT an episode to end on!

Rain drowns the sidewalks, water overrunning storm drains and potholes. It’s an unsightly scene, but the sound comforts you. The umbrella holding you hostage is coated as the rain batters against it, fighting for a way in.

You sigh.

“C’mon…”

Growing impatient, the toe of your soaked shoes begin to tap on the pavement. You must look like an idiot, standing out in the rain when there was plenty of open shops and bars to seek shelter in.

Sliding your phone out of your pocket, you tap a few notifications away and pull up George’s number. You call. And you’re greeted with his voicemail.

“…if you forgot, it’s fine.”

You pause.

“I’ll see you at home.”

As you end the call, you wonder if you sounded defeated—or even angry. The thought seeps back into your brain as you begin the trudge back home.

Back at the apartment, right away you notice the answering machine blinking with a new message. It’s hard to miss it, the soft orange light aluminates the room since you’ve hardly bothered to turn the lamps on.

“(y/n)…it’s me. You’re upset with me and I know it. And I…I deserve it. Today was hectic and I know it’s not an excuse—“

You’re hand subconsciously darts out and slams the phone down a little too harshly. Soaking wet and hardly paying any attention to the time, you are about to wander to the bathroom when a voice echoes behind you.

“I was too hopeful to think you’d listen to the whole voicemail.”

Shoulders squared and drenched as well, a tired but sad George stands in the entryway. You never even heard him open the door, let alone shed his jacket and loosen his tie.

“I’m not angry with you. Work is important to you, and I know that.”

There’s a silence that takes the whole room by storm, and you can’t find words stuck in your throat. You cough, and Washington waits.

“I just never thought you’d leave me alone in the pouring rain.”

A laugh trembles on your lips to hide the tears.

“(y/n)…”

“Yeah?”

“I’m so sorry.”

“I know you are.”

“Why do you put up with my nonsense?”

There’s clear as day hesitation in your words, not because they aren’t true, because it takes you a moment to figure out how to say them that would convince him.

“I put up with it because you aren’t doing it maliciously.”

He looks away, but still hesitates to act. He’s frozen in his spot, unable to decide if he should hug you or kiss you or leave you be.

“It’s not your fault.”

“What isn’t?”

“You’re thinking something you shouldn’t be thinking. I don’t hate you George. Never will.”

He walks across the room and envelops you in this hug that takes all the air out of your lungs. It hurts, but it’s home. You grab at his shoulders, sinking down into his chest as you just hold each other in the foyer.

You bite your lip not to cry.

“You don’t hate me.”

Washington mumbles in your ear, and you hum a ‘no, never’ back. He relaxes, you take a deep breath.

“I’ll never leave you in the pouring rain again, (y/n).”

George Washington is a stoic, courageous, but gentle man. He’s not the one to get you to smile, but the one to pull your worries away. He’s a background character as much as he’s a main cast. He’ll love you to pieces, hold his heart out to you but will never speak it.

So. I saw the boys yesterday. And you know what? I didn’t know I could love them more than I did already. But I do. I love them more and I’m never going to stop loving them. Those boys are incredible and honestly, those that hate them don’t know what they’re missing out and how foolish they’re being.

Those seven men have love and kindness oozing from every inch of their heart and body. They’re much more beautiful than pictures and videos make them to be. They don’t do them justice. Anyway. They shined last night.

Jin’s even more gorgeous than it is said. He literally has a perfect face, it’s incredible. He was all chirpy when greeting us but once the concert started, he turned into?? Someone so intense?? He didn’t speak much, but came to the front and just looked at us and...stayed. Watched us with this intensity. I was left shook, let’s be honest, he flew in my bias list and nestled there jsjsb also his voice is fucking underrated. He’s incredible. Really.

HOSEOK??? He’s so beautiful?? His face?? Sculpted by God himself and with a lot n lot of care. Guys his features are incredible. He’s the one who exudes confidence the most, he basically glided in the scene. His dance skills mdjsjs seeing it live, wow. Also he played with us a lot, all winks and smirks and raised eyebrows. He was so cocky omg but like, gentle cocky, sweet cocky. We were screaming for him in hopeless love and he felt it, made him even more confident and wow. The power.

JOON!!! Joon oh God. Every time there was a lil lull we screamed “KIM NAMJOON PRESIDENT” and he looked startled but then so happy and in the end went like “I’ll be your president » and we screamed even more. Joon was like a Star, a beautiful star. Always bright and beaming and he gave and we gave him too!! He has legs to die for they’re never ending n he dances all cool n stuffs...what a MAN. Seriously. JIMIN IS SUCH A PRINCE??? That’s the first thing I thought when I saw him, I was shocked and looking at him like??? He really has the features of a Prince. And he’s so!!graceful!! The way he walks, the way he dances, his every gesture...dude. He’s grace n like...handsome. A Prince. He came the most to us with Jin, super affectionate and telling us not to cry :(( always crouching down and just...staring...smiling...being happy. I love him.

TAEHYUNG. First, you need to know something from an ACTUAL french who ACTUALLY was front rows to the concert. He was sick, yes, and obviously tired, but the tears he shed? It wasn’t guilt or tiredness. It was because he said he had wanted to come to Paris for a long time and that it was his favorite city. That he wasn’t disappointed because the city was great and we gave them such a /strong amount of emotion. At one point nothing happened but we were so happy we screamed and did fanchants and waves out of pure happiness. He just stared, realizing how much we loved them, and that’s what made him cry.

SO. Taehyung? Taehyung’s not real. Like I saw him but I’m convinced he’s not real. He’s like, an ethereal being or something. He’s not real. He’s so gentle? Gentle is a word I’s use to describe everything he did. Sometimes he was playful too, played with his shirt and all those little gestures I’m...he seriously wrecked my bias list tonight too.

Jungkook!! I would have thought that he would be more subdued since he wasn’t able to dance but? He was so smiley? Like I’m a tiny person okay and I was in the corner in the front rows where!! His seat was!! So every time he went to sit down well I was watching him, and, he didn’t look sad. Not at all. He was super happy and smiled like no tomorrow, kind of amazed bc we were REALLY loud with our chants (you have to understand, finally an European tour...). Instead of staying on his chair he sometimes got up and danced a bit while looking so!! Happy!! And bright!! HE ALSO TALKED SO MUCH FRENCH WHAT THE FUCK. A total babe. Also, Jungkook? He went total fuckboy on us. I was being a sensitive bitch and crying silently and he just?? Did those hip thrusts? Cocky gazes and cute smiles? Then he switched on some songs and went all mister misty eyes AND I CRIED HARDEEEER. Damn.

The first thing I noticed was his stage presence. He has a HUGE stage presence. Like he’s a tiny man, okay, but he commends attention while hardly doing anything. He’s intimidating but not in a bad way, not in the “overwhelming” kind of way. No, it’s just that he appears, and you just kind of stare in awe and respect n...yeah. He’s that kind of intimidating. His way of showing affection was quiet and soft. Little fingers heart and smiles and staring at us while nodding. He let us rap his parts a lot and of COURSE we were ready (french fans are quite the rapline n Tae stans tbh but at the end of the concert? Ot7), he looked so happy when he realized that we knew all the lyrics hehe. Also. He really walks like a toddler. And he’s so PINK. Like “just getting out of the bath” kind of pink. And his kind of beauty is...soft. Like he really has the softest and most effeminate traits. Every time he came close to our side of the pit I was silently sobbing and just let my phone drop and STARED. AND. His voice? Amazing. His voice is even better live. It was bliss.

Anyway I’m...I’m overwhelmed and I miss them. Meeting BTS is like your favorite fiction character suddenly becoming real in front of your eyes. Like of course I knew they were real before but...I got to see them by myself. And they’re even better than I imagined. Seven angels.

And...yeah I’m just going to sob now.
