Undersketch for a drawing. I’m not really feeling it, but maybe when I start painting it, it’ll become interesting to me. I’ve been reading Foucault’s Pendulum by Umberto Eco, and it’s very inspiring, but I’m having trouble translating that to paper. Keep on trucking! We’ll get there eventually. #sketch #sketchbook #indianink #umbertoeco #foucaultpendulum #carcrash #surrealism #onedrawingaweek https://www.instagram.com/p/B6NLm9xFkvs/?igshid=1usc4h77jxfm0

Where do broken hearts go?? Counted all my mistakes and there's only one Standing out from the list of the things I've done All the rest of my crimes don't come close To the look on your face when I let you go So I built you a house from a broken home And I wrote you a song with the words you spoke Yeah, it took me some time, but I figured out How to fix up a heart that I let down Now I'm searching every lonely place Every corner calling out your name Tryna find you, but I just don't know Where do broken hearts go?? Where do broken hearts go???

I found a new muse, the Carlton Hotel in Amsterdam. I’m looking for something, I don’t know what yet, but I’m keeping my promise of one drawing a week to figure out what exactly I want from my own art. This is a sort of return to my roots - architectural collages. #carltonhotelamsterdam #collage #mauricenoble #artisticresearch #process #gouache #indianink #onedrawingaweek https://www.instagram.com/p/B5CfiHxl_Zk/?igshid=1w0loafnmcv26

Inktober really inspired me to get back to drawing on a regular basis, but, of course, I was at a loss to what I wanted to draw now! I wanted something where I could practice more graphic motifs, but I wasn’t exactly sure as to what kind of subject and atmosphere. Until yesterday, when I saw this gentleman cycling through the streets, around the fountain, disappearing into the darkness, with his broom behind him. Where is he going? Let’s find out. I aim to make a drawing once a week, and we’ll see how long I can keep it up, with all my other projects going on. #onedrawingaweek #stylistictravel #whereishenow #drawing #ink https://www.instagram.com/p/B4tzseolQPh/?igshid=1cxni6h8mf8hd
