i am chewing the walls because yesterday i woke up brimming with ideas for my (hopefully) [eventual] bricks and mortar yarn store and i can't DO anything about it

#i can write my ideas down #but we have an agreement not to start this business until book has indefinite leave to remain #and we agreed i would start an online store first because it's lower initial outlay #and i don't even WANT to start it right way #and i'm just like. getting in the weeds now about the practicalities of like. wholesale deliveries as a disabled person #i mean in the sense of #it's too much to keep at the house so how do i manage transport etc

I do not like having to go to the DMV… I do not like it at all.

#pardon my insanity #this has been a week of facing things that I do not like #large and busy airports (kudos to CVG for getting me through TSA real fast and making that part nearly pain-free though)#all the *escalators* in said airport #(I get severe vertigo on escalators… I do not like them -especially going down)#(this was actually the first time I’ve managed to get on a downward escalator since before Covid lockdowns)#went to the dentist for something a little more invasive than a typical checkup less than two hours after getting home Monday…#…the dentist made the airport seem like a cake walk #(usually not fearful of the dentist… but that’s the first time I’ve had to have novocaine shot in my cheeks and that was weird)#and then the DMV was such a pain yesterday (and online instructions prior to were different than there so I had to leave and come back)#…DMV successfully made Monday’s dental procedure feel easy!#and now tomorrow I have to wrangle my cat who is terrified of the vet *back* there because five weeks and her ear infection won’t go away #and listen to her hyperventilate and try to dig her way out of the carrier the whole drive up (which scares the ever-loving crap out of me)#she does that on Gabapentin too -it’s that bad

#i ordered a pair of prescription transition glasses online at a great price & i love them sooo much but forgot they'd need adjusting #i just told my manager hey do you mind if i leave a little early today & she was just like yeah no worries #so i walked over to the local opticians & the woman there was so sweet. did the adjustment & was also like #'hey do you want a smaller nose pad? i think it would be more comfortable for you' so she went ahead & did that #whilst explaining to me how the process works bc i've always been genuinely curious how they adjust them. i learned they use a heat machine #to be able to adjust the temples :) also different glasses have different max heat points so you always have to be careful #then she showed me all the tools to switch out the pads which looked very fun. like tiny lego kind of fun #also she asked me abt my accent & i just told her 'no exciting story unfortunately. i'm autistic so i tend to pick up accents #but next time i'll make one up for you' to which she replied with the funniest story abt how her husband who was born without #anything past his right elbow loooooves to do that. make up stories abt how it got frozen off on a trip to the north that went bad or #bitten off by a shark or donated to someone else or to science. & she says all this with so much fond exasperation it was v funny & v sweet #7

2022 has been crazy. To me, I realised it’s the year of beginnings and ends. The beginning of the end of my high-school journey, the beginning of the strangest and most convoluted time and so much more. But I also began this account on April 4th of 2022 and having this account has been a source of happiness for me! Anyways, I would like to sincerely thank, all my mutuals for being so sweet. Kindness like this feels welcoming and wholesome, especially due to the fact this is quite hard to come by in my irl. Thank you to my followers and thank you to anyone who has ever interacted, as well as thank you to anyone who has never met me, or never will meet me, for just being so amazing and for being alive. There is so much I want to say, but I’m not sure what I want to say exactly, but in short…

Thank YOU for making this life a bit more beautiful. Whoever reads this: you deserve a wonderful time. You deserve to be happy. Things are only temporary, despite such feeling like it is stretching to an eternity. And most importantly, THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON, reasons which may not be comprehensible now, but may make you grateful as you have the privilege of hindsight in the future.

#things i am excited about at my new job #it's nice to SEE AND INTERACT WITH PEOPLE EVERY DAY #jesus between covid and working from home that was getting seriously hard for me to achieve #i find the subject matter interesting (it's medical stuff and helping patients which is way more interesting to me than the finance shit #i was doing at my last job where i just like helped financial advisors get richer)#my bosses are kinda young and cool which is nice because mostly i have worked for boomer men older than my dad #i get to people watch and learn new things and it's challenging but not TOO overwhelmingly difficult #it's admin stuff which i kinda enjoy in a dorky sim management job sort of way (i do that kind of shit for fun in video games all the time)#the one thing im worried about rn is that the person who's training me that im filling in for is leaving soon and they're my fave part #of coming to work right now because i just like hanging out with them and they have like this hypnotically soothing aura #and sweet kind personality so im afraid once theyre gone (a) i will suck at doing it all without them and #(b) it just wont be nearly as nice but #i must think positive thoughts and hopefully i can use their mentorship as inspiration too #i spent all last year failing at being a self directed online student and juggling random part time shit so i am SO GLAD #to have full time work and work that isnt horribly boring and lonely like the finance work from home one before it #ps the person who is training me worked for 12 years as a 911 emergency phone operator if you want a picture of how calm and nice they are #like they can make anything seem ok and fine and remain calm no matter what and their voice is the gentlest thing on earth lol #i get free asmr all day basically #p
