"reblog all art and fics you see" there's no thought put into that. if this does work on people, then it's just pity engagement borne out of guilt rather than genuine interest, which is arguably worse than having none, because it's totally hollow.

#if I make art of my ocs who I'm personally fond of and spent a few days drawing just right and it gets 3 reblogs then it gets 3 reblogs #it's rational to feel a little disappointed sure. but I can't do anything about that. it's just luck #and I got Very lucky accumulating a few thousand followers on my main-turned-art-only blog off the back of when m.oomin was very popular #(tho realistically many of those users are probably inactive/passive followers now)#and having this number of people tuned into my posts Still only gets me a couple dozen notes on original stuff.#every 3 years or so something might blow up. like that bugs bunny comic lol. and I did Not expect it to #especially bc it happened about a year after I shared it as well.#it can happen any time. so don't feel discouraged when your art doesn't get noticed right away #the one advantage this website has is that there's far less of a fomo culture compared to other socials where trends come and go in a week #and people will still interact with older posts. especially bc it's easier to find what you want through the tagging system. sort of.#there's really no way to predict this or aim for large engagement! oh unless you're specifically catering to the current hot topic #like d.unmeshi is wiiiildly popular right now. I've seen comics get 5-digit notes in under 48 hours 'cause more eyes are on it.#but if it's not something you personally like and you're only creating things for the attention then you're gonna be unhappy #and people will inevitably move on.#I'd much rather swing my art back around every few months or so until it finds someone it resonates with #than make people who were never planning to engage with it feel bad for no reason

every day i spend on twitter, because that's where most of the starmin are, is a day i wish most of that community would move to tumblr just because the way this site works in comparison would be so much better for it. the ability to tag art and be able to find it later on your own blog no matter how far back it was posted. the way you can add on to each others posts. and also i just like tumblers post format much better. especially for making a vague / simple post and then going into more detail in the tags cuz you don't wanna put all that in the main post but like it's there for anyone that wants to read it. on twitter you gotta put it all in the main body of the post and i. do not want to do that

#and rn it's mostly because i am only on twitter mainly for holostars content #and the vtubing community puts a lot of emphasis on keeping things about the vtuber 's main persona #and their alternate / past persona very separate not only out of respect for the person themselves #but also for the other fans that are JUST there for one or the other (usually it's the vtuber persona)#and there's a few people that are like ''hey by the way ill interact with both accounts so heads up'' and that's fine #but i guess i'm still like ''hmmm do i want to have all this stars fanart retweeted #followed by me vaguing about hiraga planning on streaming and then he doesn't (good because he'd JUST fixed his sleep sched)''#¯\_(ツ)_/¯#all in all it doesn't REALLY matter i can put what i want on my twitter but still i wish it were more like tumblr #or everyone could just move to tumblr please #anyway i WAS gonna go to bed at a descent time for a friday night then lizard man said he was gonna stream #but it's been like 2 hours so i think he probably conked out lmao which is good cuz he needs it i think #anyway every day i mourn for all the cool art i retweet that will be lost to the void in a few weeks because twitter sucks ass #i should go to sleep now in case he does stream in the morning after all. plus tavi's doing a music making menshi at like #8am i should try not to miss that too. fucking time zones TTATT #are you fucking kidding me i made this post and like 5 minutes later he went live bRO

what do i have to do to get people to read my stuff actually like im not about to get in everyones faces begging for attention but i dont understand how im expected to make FREE fandom content without much feedback on my work

#ignore my ranting but im actually so fucked disillusioned #like why are there so many people who scream about supporting each other and lifting up small creators #and they never do it themselves unless its their friend #sorry i dont sit at the popular table but i never expected that it would impact my reach this much #my newest fic has more hits but less kudos and less comments than my first #it's so obvious people only interacted on my first fic *because* it was my first fic #and thank you so fucking much to the people who have given me kind words #and literally religiously rbing my stuff because you think im worth listening to #this isn't about me crying because im not popular #people with bigger followings are naturally going to get more attention #but the only reason ive started posting my fics is because all these POPULAR BLOGS were like 'we support each other here!!!'#'were a big family were not a big fandom so any time someone posts it brings a smile to our faces!' blah blah blah #like youre out here lying for clout you literally only leave feed or kudos if its your fucking friend 😭 not even if its good #i guess id rather have less people interacting if it means the feedback i get is genuine and not just blowing smoke up my ass #but it still hurts to write a fic that flops and then write another fic thats over 3x longer than my first fic #WITH A PREMISE THAT POPULAR WRITERS HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT BEFORE AND BLEW UP FOR IT AND PEOPLE IDOLIZE THEIR WRITING #so im expecting to get more feedback and constructive criticism because it's a concept that a lot of people seem to love #only to get EVEN LESS FEEDBACK THAN ON MY FIRST FIC #like sorry to everyone who genuinely likes my writing i actually love you so much #but im very rejection sensitive and don't plan on continuing this. it seriously hurts me. it triggers my abandonment and selfhatred shit ba #like im sick to my stomach that another thing im passionate about is sucking the life out of me & i cant even get my foot in the door #donut rebagel this thanks and goodbye

my dad just tried to explain sexism to me and then got mad when i told him not to lol

we don’t have any official confirmation yet, but in an interview first said that he filmed a love scene with someone outside of the main cast of only friends, so the specualtions have been running wild!!!

a lot of actors have been taken into consideration, including papang, earth, gawin, fluke, and tay, but most of the fandom believes it might be mix because he was spotted on set and he’s one of the people first is closest to. im personally manifesting sea with everything i have LIKE YOU REALLY HAVE NO IDEA HOW HARD IM MANIFESTING THAT MY CLOWN MAKE UP IS /ON/ but if it’s not him, then i do really hope it’s gonna be mix!!!

i loved to see first and mix together in moonlight chicken and i also think they have a very nice chemistry, so i really wouldn’t mind getting more of them!!!!

I can imagine in my heart of hearts off screen he is causing one totally canon Lieutenant Claude Anouilh of the Fontaine Armed Forces endless issues. I can believe.

But in all seriousness I'm super interested in this because of the potential for some more Harbinger interaction. Other than Siggy and him (and some implied mostly off screen interactions) we really don't have any and Arlecchino in particular is also there. She and Childe have some honestly super fascinating contradictory beliefs in child raising (childe does anything to keep their innocence while she seemingly raises them so they would be prepared for anything regardless of what they have to go through). Other than Pulcinella and Columbina (though all 3 for very different reasons), Arlecchino is definitely the one I'm most interested in seeing interact with Childe.

#( char. : image. )#poor girl...you know she constantly lives with the fear of this happening again - with the guilt of the knowledge l.eon is only alive #because the gun jammed & not that she could keep resisting.#it's disappointing in the remake that they don't ( outside of insinuation by ramón ) talk about what the plan was with her #that this was going to be her fate ( although i believe it would be far more subtle / spreading the plaga to those in power who #she and her father have access to ). that she would be the weapon used in this 'holy war'.#whilst i do like s.addlers character in the remake i find his og counterpart more interesting wrt to the island / navy / big capitalism #because it feels more realistic to how most cult leaders function - often to prop themselves up and get fame / attention / fortune /#a following of loyal people they can use & abuse for whatever their specific desire is.#whilst subtlety demands she is the perfect choice of carrier ( and im not implying anything here ) but it cannot be ignored that he chose a #young woman & had her forcibly kidnapped ( taken walking home & thrown in a shipping container - something that has happened to so many -#women who end up in awful situations and she likely thought that is what was happening ) and then took away her bodily autonomy #her sense of identity and trust in herself - leaving her with an unwanted intruder in her body.#though again i am not saying / implying i think the intention was / is an allegory #the fear of infection strikes with all the chars but especially with the parasitization of s.herry and a.shley -#a young girl & woman suffering because of their fathers - i doubt they interact but i think they'd get on spectacularly #m.anuela too though she doesn't have a parasite but she has the trauma wrt her father #sorry for the tag rambling!

With gay moon post approaching 600 notes (600 notes... 😥) I have had a few realizations

1: not everyone shares the same observations that I do. Which I say just bc I was IMMEDIATELY struck by the framing of Vash with the moon in that one panel the first time I saw it, but I've had a number of ppl mention they hadn't noticed it

Which leads into 2: the reason that post has so many notes is bc pointing out moments like that holds value to people. Plus I guess my commentary & conclusions? Plus acting as something for people to bounce their own ideas off of.

And then 3: there are probably more moments I could explore in such a way, & that could hold value to people
