Hugs.
Did you see how both times he comforted Clary, he held her as close as physically possible, cradling her in his arms?
That's how he would hold you.
He finds you in the greenhouse, tucked away in a hidden corner you love to sneak away with him to
Sometimes to kiss, sometimes to..
You're curled up, back pressed against the wall, knees up against your chest
Your body is being constantly wrecked by sobs, your lungs aching from the lack of air you're getting
You're a mess. You can't see, you can't hear, you can't feel
It hurts. It hurts so bad and it only adds to the salty tears running down your blotchy cheeks
His heart feels like it's being squeezed with an iron fist. The longer he looks at you, the more his body hurts. It's worse than the burning ache of freshly drawn runes, it's worse than a demon bite
Kisses. So, so many kisses
He drops to his knees in front of you, his hands finding yours. He tangles your fingers together, bringing your hands up to his mouth, pressing little kisses over your knuckles
He's doing anything, everything to ground you, to bring you back to him
His lips are spewing words of comfort between each kiss
"Come on, darling."
"Breathe for me now, angel."
"It's okay, it's okay. I've got you, it's okay."
"You're alright. I'm here, I've got you. Deep breaths for me, yeah?"
"There we go, just like that."
After a while, you start to calm down. Your heart slows, your lungs aren't constricted, blood isn't roaring in your ears
Despite that, your hands stay clasped together with his. You don't let go, even when he tries to pull away so he can wrap his arms around you
You bring his hands up to your face and hide. You kiss them, hide yourself from him in them. His hands are cool and it feels nice against your hot skin
He coos, sitting closer to you. His darling girl
He sits beside you and pulls you to his chest, somehow managing to sneak his hands free
He wraps his arms around you and holds you close, petting your hair, pressing kisses to your hairline, whispering little reassurances in your ear
You stay there with him for who knows how long. An hour, two, three
Neither of you cares. You stay sitting there, you in his embrace. His scent, clean and fresh, surrounds you, clouds your senses
It lulls you to sleep after a bit. Your head falls limp and he chuckles, pressing a kiss to the top of your head
He brushes your hair back, away from your face. He tucks the strands behind your ears, wipes your cheeks dry. He presses little kisses under your eyes, now adorned with red circles
He is such a kissy boy you can't change my mind
"Good morning!" Kiss
"Are you okay??" Kiss
"You could've died." Kiss
"Please help me." Kiss
He kisses you to reassure himself. Reassuring you is just an amazing bonus
Kisses help to ground him, make him realise you're real and with him
Angels can't kiss anyone, but you're his angel and he kisses you
After the crying situation, he doesn't mention it again because you don't
But his lingering touches, gentle brushes of fingertips let you know that he is here and that he cares
You appreciate it more than anything. You don't want to talk about it, but you thank him with kisses of your own
His love language is physical touch for a reason
Mostly because he didn't get much of it as a boy
He doesn't like words, he can't figure them out
He also hates emotions. He thinks they're stupid and not really needed
But he cherishes everything he feels for you like an ancient relic that needs the best of the best protection
He's so sassy, too
If anyone asks what happened that night, be ready to get at least 3 comments thrown your way
"None of your business, thanks!"
"Since when did asking stupid questions become a shadowhunters job, enlighten me please."
"We did your mum. Fuck off."
It never fails to make you giggle
He flashes you a wink after every comment
He's like a 14 year old boy trying to impress an older girl
It works...

pairing: jace herondale x sebastian morgenstern
warnings: does not contain explicit smut but it is implied, mpreg, somehow became an actual fic than a crack one?? ooc characters
summary: sebastian knocks jace up
A/N: based on the drawing by cassandra jean. requested a long, LONG time ago, sorry.

the rain battered the window as the song played in the background, calming sebastian. he drank out of the cup in his hand, his mind drifting to different places.
he still had a long way to go before the other shadowhunters fully trusted him, even though the demon blood had burned away from his system in edom. he didn't blame them, he had done some truly despicable things while the demon blood still ran through his veins.
he was slowly going down the path of self loathing again, which happened every time he thought of his life before, when the bell rang. he opened the door, truly not prepared for the person he saw standing there.
jace herondale. soaking wet (and not in the pleasurable way). on his doorstep.
sebastian never thought he'd see jace again, not after how abruptly he had left the morning after. if he tried to, he could still remember feeling the cold bed beside him, the sun filtering in through the window, and an empty, tight feeling inside his chest.
it was easily the best sex either had had in their lives. unbeknownst to the other, flashes of that night ran through both their brains. how it started after an hours long sparring session, with the heat running through their veins. sweaty hands scrambling for purchase on the training mat, desperate kisses, and their sounds echoing off of walls of the empty floor.
sebastian was brought out of his thoughts when jace said his name, wide eyes staring at the man a step below, disbelieving. as if trying to commit his face to memory. the silence between them stretched until the space seemed insurmountable. just as he was about to open his mouth to finally say something, jace startled him by kissing him.
it was all tongue and teeth and more desperate than the last time they had done this dance. sebastian's warm hands a contrast to jace's cold body, tugging at clothing until it all lay in a heap on the floor. they stumbled backwards to the bed, panting and gasping. sebastian's name from jace's mouth sounded like a prayer, sounded like something holy, sounded like something he knew he was undeserving of, but hoping he could be. he looked at jace again, at his soft eyes, fluttering lashes, swollen lips and flushed skin. he hoped it would be different this time before he kissed him again.
the next morning, he woke up alone. somehow this hurt more than the last time. it left a pang in his chest, a vice around his lungs that felt like it got tighter every day until it felt like he couldn't breathe. jace avoided him at the institute and he felt worse than he had ever felt before.
this time, when the bell rang and he saw jace on the other side of the door, his expression was guarded, he didn't want to get hurt again.
"what do you want this time, jace? i'm not continuing whatever cycle you think this is."
"can we talk? please?" the vulnerability in jace's voice was rare, at least in front of him, so he invited jace inside. jace sat down on the couch, uncharacteristically nervous and fidgeted with his hands. sebastian looked at him curiously.
"sebastian," jace started again. "i'm pregnant."
the air between them was tense again, as jace held his breath in anticipation of what sebastian might say. a beat, then two. then sebastian jumped over, almost toppling over the coffee table in his haste to envelop jace in a bone crushing hug. in all the different scenarios running through his mind, jace had never imagined as... enthusiastic of a response. he awkwardly patted sebastian's back and when he pulled back, sebastian had tears in his eyes.
"sebastian? are you okay?" jace asked, the words less bitter than they might have tasted even just a few months ago.
"yeah, yeah. it's just- i'm gonna be a dad? with you? holy fucking shit." sebastian said, wiping his eyes. "that is, if you want to keep it?"
"that's the thing. i came here to tell you that i'm keeping it whether you decide to be involved in their lives or not." jace said, rubbing his hand over his abs.
"jace..." sebastian started, "i know you might not believe me, and even i don't fully know what it is that i feel about you, but all i know is that it hurt when i saw the bed empty, it hurt when you avoided me. i care about you. a lot. and i care about the baby. i want us to be a family, if you'd like that?"
all the usual snark was gone from jace's voice as his face and voice softened, and the effect was so breathtaking that sebastian thought he might have ascended to heaven, no matter how undeserving he might be of it. a smile broke on jace's face and he reciprocated.
"i'd like that." jace finally said, and they shared a sweet kiss, chaste and full of hope for what the future holds. they parted, breath mingling.
"who knew that all it'd take is me knocking you up, pretty boy?" sebastian said.
and jace thought that he'd forgive this terrible joke just this once and laughed.

“Alec!” The Shadowhunters had been gathering around in the control room to gather information about the recent demonic activity, whether it’s connected to valentine or not, when Isabelle hurriedly rushed down the stairs.
Jace and Clary stops what they were doing after hearing the distress in her tone and joins Alec’s side. “Izzy, what happened?” Alec asked, concern plastering his face at the look of panic in her face.
“I heard mom and dad talking. They’re going to betrothe you with someone.” She informed, Jace and Clary immediately widening their eyes in surprise and looking at each other.
Alec seems confused, his brows furrowed together to create wrinkles on his forehead. “What are you talking about? They’re going to betrothe me to who?”
“I don’t know, but I’m sure with what I heard.” Isabelle shakes her head. The older Lightwood sighs at that with a look of disbelief, annoyance clearly building up inside him as he huffed, irritated. Forcing him to not develop any emotions was one thing, but making him marry someone he doesn’t even know is just crossing the line.
Do they not understand they can restore the Lightwood name in another way?
He was already stressed out with this demonic activity, he doesn’t need another thing stressing him out.
“There has to be another way, Alec. They can’t just let you marry someone we never met.” Jace insist, grabbing his parabatai’s arm.
“And I know I have no right to say anything, but this isn’t just about restoring your family name. It’s also ruining your life.” Stated Clary, genuinely worried for Alec’s future.
The archer sighed, but didn’t disagree with her. It’s gonna ruin his life forever if they betrothe him to someone, specially if it’s a woman. Alec hadn’t come out yet, so being married to a woman means he has no chance of ever doing so, and it angers him. He wished it was easy to live in the shadow world without any burdens.
“I’m gonna talk to them. See if they will reconsider.” He remained calm despite having many worries and anger running through his veins. “Just don’t stop looking for informations that may help.” That’s all he said before walking away to talk to his parents, Isabelle silently cheering on him from behind.
After he was gone, Clary’s shoulders slumped and a sigh was forced out of her throat. “This is all my fault...”
“It’s not.” Jace and Isabelle were quick to deny, both of them placing either of their hands on her shoulders to cheer her up. They give her a strong gaze of reassurance that nobody’s blaming her for this, not even Alec.
It was their parents’ decision. No one is at fault but them.
Tumblr media
Alec now stood in front of his parents with anger flaming in his eyes, scowl plastered his face. “I heard about the marriage.” They both looked down at that. “You’re marrying me off to someone all of us never met? Where did your common sense go?”
“Alec, it is a necessity.” Maryse pushed. “We have to restore our Lightwood name and this is the only way.”
“There is another way, you just don’t look for it.” He snapped, glaring at her. Maryse sighs and looks down, knowing her children won’t understand the sacrifices they have to go through to restore their name.
Robert sighs, understanding why Alec doesn’t want to be married off to some random person and reconsidering their decision. After a while of silence, an idea came up in his head. “Alec, let’s settle this calmly. There’s no need for an argument.”
“Well, it’s very much needed when you’re ready to ruin your son’s life forever.” Alec argued back.
“Just listen to my idea.” Alec raised his brows, shutting his own mouth to let Robert talk. “We have already decided who you’re being betrothed to. You two can meet and if you don’t click or feel interested in each other, we will call off the marriage.” Maryse snaps her gaze towards him and gives him a look of what are you doing? as Robert doesn’t break eye contact with his son.
Alec narrowed his eyes, “Are you being real with this? You can’t step back after we make a deal.”
His father nods, “I know and I’m being completely real with it. Your mother and I will call off the marriage if you two aren’t fond of each other. But if you are, then the marriage will happen.”
Alec thought about it for few seconds, sighed, and finally nodded his head in agreement. “Fine, it’s a deal. You’re not allowed to take it back.” He glared at Maryse strongly in warning and walked out, leaving them arguing on their own.
He walked down the steps of stairs and immediately went back to the mission, tapping on the screen to find more useful informations other than what they have found. As soon as they saw him back, Jace, Clary and Isabelle quickly joined his sides. “How did it go?” Isabelle asked worriedly.
“Dad proposed me a deal. If me and this stranger don’t click or feel fond of each other upon meeting, they will call off this betrothal. But if we do, they will continue their plans with our marriage.” Told Alec, which made all three of them plaster a look of disbelief.
“What, that’s about it?” Jace questions.
Alec sighs and turns to them after stopping. “At least they gave me a choice. And they’re not allowed to back out from this deal, so there’s that.”
Isabelle placed her hand on his shoulder, “There must be another way, Alec.” She softly said.
Her brother nodded. “I know, but a deal is a deal. Get back to work.”
All of them had no choice but to oblige as Alec seemed like he didn’t want to talk about it. One thing’s for sure though; they’re going to meet this stranger as well anytime soon.
A week has passed ever since Alec’s talk with his parents and none of them have yet to meet the person who's supposed to be his partner. No one knows the detail because Maryse and Robert liked to keep it a secret for some unknown reason, which frustrates Alec and the others as well. If they’re getting him married, it’s a common sense that he has to know a detail or two about the one he's partnered to.
“Maybe they haven't found anyone worthy of restoring the Lightwood name?” Isabelle thought out loud, trying to look for an answer to their question.
Alec scowls, giving her a look. “If they haven't, dad wouldn't suggest his idea.” Shutting her down immediately, he let out a sigh as he leans back on the couch. Isabelle shrugs her shoulders, muttering a “good point” under her breath before drinking the wine she found in the kitchen.
“Then maybe they’re struggling to get them come?” Added Jace, speaking out his thoughts with his arms crossed. “Who knows, that person might also not like getting married to some rando and is hesitating to meet you.” The raven haired male sighs at that, but doesn't say anything.
Jace is right, maybe that person refuses to marry as well considering arranged marriage is something people at his age doesn't like. It’s quite common in the shadow world yet none succeeded to last long, they would immediately get a divorce after a year of being married because they can’t tolerate each other. It definitely ruins their life. Alec doesn’t want that and perhaps, neither does the one he’s betrothed with.
“I think you should just be patient, Alec. The right time might come soon enough.” Clary advised, smiling at him. Nodded Alec, agreeing with her and flashing a tootless, small smile.
Well, little do they know that soon enough is too soon.
Tumblr media
Alec, Clary, Jace, and Isabelle gathered in the control room to check any other demonic activities that has a connection with Valentine, each of them busy with their own tasks when the entrance doors opens and came in a Shadowhunter with a circle rune on his neck.
Everyone got alarmed as Alec immediately draws out his weapon, shooting an arrow at the male. However, it was easily caught which had them shocked for a few seconds before Jace activated his seraph blade and went in for the attack. Dodging his attacks without shedding a sweat, the male is quick to kick him back in the stomach forcefully, sending Jace on the wall. Clary’s next to attack the male with the seraph blade, only for him to grab her arm and twist it behind her back, the weapon dropping on the floor. Seeing this as an opportunity, Isabelle quickly draws out her whip within three seconds and tries to whip the male.
You caught it without having to look at her way, wrapping it around your arm and looking at her, small smirk tugging at the corner of your lips. Gently pushing Clary forward, you took out your stele and runs it over your rune to undo the disguise, revealing your real self with attractive features. Alec’s brows shot up upon seeing your true self, attraction shining in his eyes.
“Fast reflex, but not fast enough. Still needs plenty of trainings.” Your voice booms all over the heart of the institute yet Alec was the only one who felt shivers running down his spine upon hearing it. Although your words told them they were still amateurs, your face said otherwise. It had an impressed look plastered all over.
“Yeah, clearly.” Jace agreed, grinning as amazement clouds his expression at how you managed to not even get a single scratch by all four of them attacking.
You walked forward, smiling and nodding at them in acknowledgement, gaze lingering longer on Alec who gulped and licked his lips at the tension rising in the air. “Apologies for not introducing myself properly. I’m (Y/n) Blackthorn, sent by the Clave to handle things around here.” You looked at everyone with confidence and high authority, though it was softer than most people from the Clave.
Furrowing his brows in confusion, Alec immediately approached you followed by others. “Wait, hold on. Maryse and Robert Lightwood handles this institute, I don’t think you should be taking that rights away from them.”
A smirk spreads across your lips, happy that there’s at least someone here who isn’t afraid to voice out their opinions against authorities. “They will still be handling this institute, I would just be right beside them to help. I’m not going to take away their rights just because the Clave told me to; I may be the highest member but I don’t turn a blind eye to the Clave’s wrong doings. I believe in fair and just.” You assured firmly, never breaking eye contact with him so he would know you’re sincere.
Alec gives a small smile at that, bowing his head a little. “Thank you.”
“You shouldn’t be.” The four of them smiled when you immediately turned down his gratitude. “Your aim was accurate and precise, it impressed me. Although I think you should learn how to fight with other than bows and arrows, having a specific weapon for yourself is a great thing.” You complimented rather in a flirty manner, mindlessly fixing his collar using one hand for a short amount of seconds.
A deep shade of red appears on Alec’s cheeks at the attention as he cleared his throat, clearly not used to being complimented. It doesn’t feel bad, though. It actually feels nicer than he thought.
Seeing this interaction, Jace shoots his eyebrows up with a teasing smirk while Isabelle smiles, eyeing you two. Clary rather had an amused look on her face than a teasing one since it was unexpected for a Clave member to be flirting with other Shadowhunter. But then again, life surprises everyone in many ways.
You smiled at the look on Alec’s face before turning to the three. “As much as I’d like to get to know you, Maryse and Robert must be expecting me. I will excuse myself, if that’s okay?” Looking between all of them, your gaze stopped on Alec, waiting for his approval.
Jace, Isabelle and Clary looked at him as well. They always make him decide for something even though it's not important.
Alec, upon realizing all eyes were on him, cleared his throat and nodded his head. “Uh— Yeah, of course. Go ahead.”
You smiled, bowed your head in respectful manner and walked away, brushing your shoulder faintly with his as you passed him. That probably wasn’t on purpose, but he sure felt like it.
When he turned back to the others, they all had a teasing smirk on their face causing him to groan in annoyance. “Don't give me that look.”
Jace huffs out a laugh, patting his shoulder. “Oh, come on, Alec. The envoy of the Clave was flirting with you! How could we not give you whatever look you’re referring to.” Alec rolled his eyes at his teasing, though he actually didn’t mind.
“And you’re definitely interested in him too, I can see it in your eyes.” Isabelle assumes with certainty, the corner of her lips twisted upwards into a smirk.
Sighing, Alec rubbed his temples. Now, they would never stop pestering him until he do something about it. At this point, the only sane person in this place is just Clary, which he doesn’t really want to admit since she was the insane one when she got here.
The red head used to always be annoying, making reckless decisions, minding other’s business she isn’t supposed to, even just hearing her talk the slightest bit annoyed him. But now, she rarely ever make reckless decisions unless necessary and has learned to stay out of people’s business when they made things clear that they don’t want her concerns in it. She and Alec had even gone close to the point he treats her like a baby sister, even though he gets annoyed with her sometimes.
“Uhm... Alec?” Clary calls out, gaining all of their attention.
“What is it, Fray?” He did feel like what she’s going to say would make sense.
“Not to be a killjoy, but you’re betrothed with someone, right? I think you should tell your parents about your attraction to (Y/n) as soon as possible before anyone could get their feelings hurt.” She reminds him as nicely as she could, trying to see if she worded it out right. Jace and Isabelle frowned; they had totally forgot about it due to excitement.
Alec sighs, nodding his head in agreement, to which Clary smiles at realizing she didn’t word it out wrong. “I might have a problem with telling them. It’s not really easy to talk mom out when it’s our Lightwood name at risk.”
“Well...” Isabelle sighs out, eyes looking behind Alec. “You might not have to worry about that.”
The older Lightwood furrowed his brows, “Why?”
“Because she’s approaching right now and you’re gonna have to tell her whether you like it or not.”
Feeling a strong, familiar presence behind him, Alec turns around to meet the cold and hard stare of their mother. Jace hisses quietly as he hoped Maryse hadn’t heard anything they said. “Ah, mother. Do you need anything?” Alec’s attempt at making themselves look unsuspicious made all three of them snort, quickly hiding it with a cough when he gave them a side-glare.
“We have to talk.” That was all Maryse said before turning around and walking back the path she came.
Alec sighs, looking back at his friends. “Well, there it goes. i’ll be right back.” They nodded, giving him a pat on the shoulder to show their support. Smiling a small one, he walks away to follow his mother towards her and Robert’s office.
When he entered, the first thing he saw was you sitting on a chair in front of their desk before seeing his parents. Confusion appears on his face, brows furrowing together to form crinkles on his forehead. “What’s all this about?” He questioned while closing the door behind him and walked over to sit beside you.
Maryse takes a deep breath, almost nervously, uncertain whether if Alec will accept it or not. “Alec, this is Mr. (Y/n) Blackthorn. He’s one of the people who leads the Clave in order to make the shadow world a better place, quite different from the others we’ve met. He helped us regain our trust with the Clave and taught us many things from a different perspective that is far from ours, but much greater and better.”
Alec only raised his brows with a questioning look, wanting to know how this has anything to do with him.
She made an eye contact with Robert before sighing. “You must be thinking why I called you here. This is about the betrothal, Alec, and (Y/n) is the one we chose to betrothe you with.”
Surprise coating his face, Alec looked at you with wide eyes, as if to ask if it’s true. You nod, smiling at him yet worry was evident in your eyes. “You know you can speak up if you don’t want it, right? We’re not forcing you to accept me.” Speaking softly, you place your hand on his shoulder and assure him.
Alec felt butterflies on his stomach. The (e/c) colour of your eyes brought up your best features, it made him think how perfect you looked as if you were structured by the gods themselves. Everything about you was heavenly — no pun intended and without exaggeration — from your hair down to what you wear. He feels like he’s staring at the personification of beauty and grace. Your presence radiates comfort, kindness, safety and warmth. That made him smile a little bit while getting lost into your beautiful eyes.
“What do you think, Alec?” Robert spoke from where he stood beside his wife.
Alec doesn’t break eye contact with you as he lick his lips and nod his head. “I think it’s great.” All of your worry disappeared at that, your smile now containing genuine happiness which made him smile back.
Maryse smiles, a sigh of relief escaping her. “Okay, good. That’s it. You may go back now.”
“Well, that was certainly unexpected. I was thinking your sister will be the one I’m betrothed to.” You said, walking alongside Alec through the halls.
He raised his brows, “Do you prefer it was her?” You didn’t miss the hint of curiosity in his voice.
“Actually, I was planning to decline this offer beforehand right after meeting you.” That made Alec look at you questioningly. “Well, firstly you caught my attention. Secondly, I sway for the other team. Lastly, I don’t marry someone else when I already have one in mind.” You listed, suggestively looking at him afterwards.
Alec blushed, but a faint smile spreads on his lips. “Actually, I also had the same thing in mind. Jace, Izzy and Clary encouraged me to decline this betrothal after meeting you. Who knew it would go this way?” You smiled, finding it cute how he’s happy about this as much as you are. “Hey, uh...” He stops you from walking by grabbing your arm gently, his hand staying there as he starts speaking. “Can we keep this a secret until mom and dad announce it to the entire institute? I want it to be a surprise.”
Chuckling, you nod your head in agreement and place your empty hand above his that is still holding your arm. “Of course. Though, it’s highly likely that they will announce it tomorrow first in the morning.” You joked.
Alec huffs out a laugh. “It really is. I think they were excited about this betrothal even though it’s for our reputation.”
You agree, “They wouldn’t miss a chance to get everyone’s blessings.” You smiled at each other, not bothering to hide the relief that clouded each of your chests. He was relieved about this as much as you were and although you didn’t share that exact words with one another, you both knew. Fortunately, none of you declined the offer before meeting.
The day passed by quickly with you and Alec getting to know each other while simultaneously doing your jobs; him having to find the connection between Valentine and the recent demonic murders, and you leading the entire institute and giving others instructions on what to do. No one ever suspected your betrothal since they were all busy — Alec’s friends only asked why Maryse called him but never asked about the betrothal, seemingly forgetting about it.
The next day, Maryse and Robert had everyone gather in front of the stairs where they always give a speech.
“Today, we gathered all of you to announce a special occasion.” Maryse starts, raising everyone’s confusion. You and Alec share a glance for split seconds with a subtle smile across your lips as you both stood beside them.
“Right now, we have an engaged couple before you. Let’s all congratulate our son Alec and (Y/n) for their engagement, another couple that will make us proud for their well achievements.” Robert finished the announcement for her.
The crowd instantly booms with surprised noises, not due to both of you being men but due to the fact that Alec managed to get such a high status person’s attention. Nonetheless, smiles plastered everyone’s face immediately and lots of encouragement were shouted as well as plenty of “congratulations” and wolf whistles. Jace, Isabelle, and Clary were, however, frozen on their places because of shock.
You and Alec felt overwhelmed by the cheers yet smiled in joy, your hands unconsciously intertwining with each other.
Maryse and Robert dismissed all shortly after the announcement was made and everyone returns to what they were doing, leaving you and Alec alone. He leans against the railing as you stood in front of him with his hand still holding yours. “They’re too excited, I haven’t even proposed yet and now we’re engaged already.” He complains, though his smile said otherwise.
You chuckled. “Well, I already have a ring.” Showing him your left hand adorned with engagement ring that he gave you yesterday, you smirked, wiggling your eyebrows.
“Right, I meant I haven’t proposed properly. I just gave you the ring.” Alec elaborates, fiddling with your hand.
“Hey,” You gently raised his chin using your free hand. “It’s fine, Alec. At least now we’re engaged, that’s all that matters. No need to overthink.” The softness in your voice made him smile as he nods his head. Bringing his hand up with your intertwined one, you kissed the back of it and watched as a blush appeared on his cheeks. Alec clears his throat in embarrassment, though he doesn’t let go of your hand.
Jace, Clary and Isabelle raised their brows simultaneously at the interaction. How come we didn’t notice them getting this close?
Walking up the stairs, Jace cleared his throat to catch your attention which were obviously only focused on one another. You and Alec instantly let go on reflex. “Well, this is a pleasant surprise.” The blonde spoke, teasingly smirking at them with his arms crossed above his chest.
Alec coughs to hide his embarrassment before smiling, “I know. We were surprised too.”
“And you’ve gotten so close with each other that you have no problem holding hands in public. It’s adorable.” Isabelle teased, causing you to chuckle.
“Congratulations to you two! We’re so happy for you.” Clary squeals, excitement rushing through her.
“Thank you.” You smiled at them, happiness filling your body that they accept you as Alec’s engaged partner. They all smile back with a nod.
This betrothal may be just to restore the Lightwood name, but you and Alec knew deep down that it’s more than just that. It couldn’t be more special, and you’re looking forward to get to know each other more.
Perhaps, betrothal isn’t as bad as you both thought.

I Lost My Number, Can I Get Yours?
As usual, I have "first work in a fandom" jitters lol. Constructive criticism is fully welcome, if you think this is OOC or anything of the sort, since this is my first time writing for these characters lol. I hope you all enjoy this, and I blame everything on my friend who convinced me to watch the show (you know who you are).
-----
Summary: Clubs weren't Alec's scene, so he wasn't really sure how his siblings had convinced him to go out to one that night. He'd much rather be home alone, curled up with a good book, not watching his siblings compete over who could get the hottest person's number. That is, until he runs into a rather handsome stranger at the bar.
Word Count: 2148 words
[ao3 link]
------------------------------
This wasn’t Alec’s scene.
The music was far too loud, the club was far too packed, and Alec wasn’t really one to drink. Even at the small standing table Alec and his siblings managed to claim, sweaty bodies pushed in against them from all sides. Alec didn’t want to be there, and he still didn’t understand how Jace and Izzy managed to drag him out. He really wished he was back home, right about then, curled up on his sofa with a good book and a beverage that was decidedly non-alcoholic.
“What about that brunette over there,” Jace said, directing Izzy’s gaze off into the crowd. “I bet I could get her number.”
Alec hated this game almost as much as he hated the clubs. Jace and Izzy pointed out attractive people, challenging themselves and each other to score their numbers before they left for the night. They tried to talk Alec into it numerous times, even just for hypotheticals, but Alec really wasn’t interested in the meaningless sex that usually came along with the game. It was fun for his siblings, and he respected that (though he could really do without them talking about it over dinner the next day), but Alec wanted something more serious, something real.
“Wait,” Izzy murmured, barely audible over the crowd, squinting in the direction Jace was pointing. “The one with the tattoos on her face?”
Jace leaned over their table with a grin. “That’s the one.”
Izzy snorted in laughter. “You took her home two weeks ago, her name was Kaelie.”
Jace’s face went slack and he whipped around to look at whatever girl it was again. “What?! No way. I swear I would remember a girl with face tattoos.”
Izzy shook her head with a grin, her eyes scanning the crowd near the bar. She hummed appreciatively as she scanned the crowd. “Lots of cute boys over there, Alec,” she goaded.
Alec rolled his eyes, sipping at the beer he hadn’t even wanted. “Not interested, Izzy.”
Jace’s eyes lit up as he found his next target. “The redhead, six o’ clock.”
Izzy turned her head, and Alec did as well more out of habit than anything. Sure enough, there was a little redhead leaning against another standing table halfway across the room. There was some nerdy looking guy next to her talking animatedly with his hands, and Alec just barely managed to catch the tail-end of someone leaving their table in the direction of the bar.
“Ooh,” Izzy purred, a mischievous smile curling at the edges of her lips. “Her friend is kinda nerd-hot, don’t you think?”
Jace turned back toward them, a bright grin on his lips. “I bet you I can get the girl’s number before you get his.”
Izzy rolled her eyes. “That’s a bet I can easily win, Jace. Are you sure you want to risk your money?”
Jace scoffed and looked toward Alec. “Who’s your money on? Come on, you gotta bet--”
“What I need,” Alec grumbled, rubbing his forehead to fight off an oncoming headache, “is another drink.”
Izzy pursed her lips. “We’ll wait to pounce until you get back. I know how funny you think it is to watch Jace crash and burn.”
Alec smirked and shook his head, shoving his way into the crowd to make his way to the bar. It took far too long and far too much shoving before he finally got there, practically tripping over his own feet and barely catching himself on the edge of the bar. He huffed out a breath to compose himself and flagged down the bartender.
“And who are you,” he heard someone mutter to themselves next to him, barely audible over the music.
Alec glanced over and he swore his brain shut down for several seconds. He was standing next to the most beautiful man he had ever seen in his life, all dark eyes and golden skin. His shirt was unbuttoned unfairly low, and Alec had to snap himself out of letting his eyes trail down the exposed skin. He was more respectful than that.
He felt less guilty about it once his brain rebooted and he realized that the man was looking him up and down just as, if not more, hungrily as Alec had almost been doing to him. The man finally met Alec’s eyes and smirked, leaning one side against the bar and tilting his head up toward Alec.
“And what’s your name then, handsome?”
Alec’s mouth went dry and he wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans. He stammered for a moment before finally managing what was probably an awkward smile and a far-too-quiet, “Alec.”
The man’s smirk widened, and he offered up a hand. “Magnus Bane.”
Alec wiped his hand on his jeans again before reaching out to shake Magnus’s hand. He swallowed and cleared his throat. He didn’t know how to proceed from here.
“Who’d you come with tonight?” Magnus asked.
“Uh, my--my siblings,” Alec said. “And yourself?”
Magnus shifted closer and Alec did his best to stand his ground instead of shying away. “Family friends.”
Alec nodded, giving into his nervous habits and rubbing his thumb into his opposite palm. He knew Jace and Izzy were probably wondering what was taking him so long, Jace would probably get bored and go after that redhead without Alec there to watch and laugh, but he couldn’t bring himself to step away from Magnus. He couldn’t even take his eyes off him.
Magnus glanced down before looking back up at Alec through his eyelashes. “So,” he all but purred, and Alec’s breath caught in his throat. “It seems like I’ve lost my number. Do you think I could get yours?”
Alec blinked, the words registering in his mind, and just like that, the tension was finally broken. Alec snorted out a laugh, bending over slightly and clapping a hand over his mouth, his free arm wrapping around his stomach. Alec wasn’t normally one to giggle, but at the moment it seemed like he couldn’t stop. When he managed to look back up at Magnus through teary eyes, he was grinning victoriously and Alec’s heart jumped traitorously in his chest.
“You know,” Alec managed to say eventually, his nerves far more settled, “I think I’ve heard my brother use that line at least ten times, and I’ve never seen it go this well before.”
Magnus raised an eyebrow and stepped directly into Alec’s space, so they were practically chest-to-chest. “It’s going well, then?”
Alec bit his lip to try and keep himself from grinning any wider. “I’d say you’re already doing pretty well for yourself.”
“Is that so?”
Alec hummed, feeling far braver than usual and bringing his hand up to hover just above Magnus’s waist. Magnus raised his other eyebrow and leaned his body into Alec’s hand without even looking down.
“Before I do get that number, however,” Magnus said, trailing off slightly and looking nervous for the first time since Alec had spotted him, fidgeting with the multitude of rings on his fingers, “you should know, I don’t do one-night stands.”
Alec released a tension in his shoulders that he hadn’t even realized he was holding. His smile came much easier and he didn’t even hesitate before reaching into his pocket and offering Magnus his unlocked phone.
“Neither do I.”
Magnus laughed lightly and took the phone from Alec’s hands. Alec leaned forward and watched upside-down as Magnus put in his contact information (and Alec had to smother another laugh when Magnus put a ridiculous series of hearts in his contact name) and then texted himself from Alec’s phone.
“So, is ‘Alec’ short for something?” Magnus asked as he handed Alec back his phone and pulled out his own.
Alec shrugged. “Alexander, but no one calls me that.”
Magnus let out a teasing hum and Alec narrowed his eyes, leaning forward to read upside down once again and snorting when he saw that Magnus had set it as his contact name (along with another absurd series of emojis).
“Hopefully I haven’t pulled you away from your family for too long,” Magnus said after his phone was slipped away once again.
Alec shook his head and looked away, scanning the club for Izzy and Jace. “No, I--”
His brow furrowed when he saw their previous table was empty. His eyes darted around for a moment before shooting over to where he remembered the redhead and her nerdy friend standing. Sure enough, there Jace and Isabelle were. Alec snorted.
“Seems like my brother finally went after that redhead he was eyeing.”
Magnus’s eyes lit up. “Redhead, you say?” He glanced back at the table Alec had been looking at. “It looks like we don’t have to part so soon, my dear Alexander. That just so happens to be my party.”
Alec smiled. “Before we head back, I should warn you…”
Magnus raised his eyebrows again and leaned back into Alec’s space. Alec chuckled nervously.
“Jace and Izzy play this game, who can get the number of the hottest person in the club or something like that. Before I left, they were better on who would get one of your friends’ numbers first.”
Magnus snorted a laugh. “Well, I wish much luck to whoever tries to go after Clary.” Then he got a sly look on his face. “And? Who’s winning?”
Alec cocked a playful eyebrow. “The bet, or the game?”
“Either.”
Alec grinned and pulled Magnus in even closer by his hips. “Tonight? Pretty certain it’s me.”
Magnus hummed and gave him a once-over. “I don’t know, I’m pretty sure I’m in the running for first place, too.”
Alec hoped the odd lighting of the club helped to hide his blush, but based off Magnus’s triumphant smile, it didn’t do much. They didn’t linger by the bar much longer, grabbing themselves some drinks and fighting their way through the crowd back to Magnus’s table. Izzy smiled wide when she saw him.
“Alec! We were starting to worry that you got lost!”
And then her eyes drifted over to Magnus, and the fact that there was very little space between the two of them, and they widened. Alec glared at her, but Izzy just smirked. Thankfully, she didn’t say anything right away, turning back to the nerdy boy, who looked incredibly flustered to be in her presence and seemed to be very carefully keeping his gaze solely on her face.
Jace, on the other hand, hadn’t even noticed their approach. He was too busy striking out with the redhead, who didn’t seem to be taking any of his shit. Good, Jace needed someone to knock some sense into him every once in a while, and it couldn’t always be him or Izzy.
“Clary, Simon,” Magnus announced his presence, sweeping into the circle around the table with a grand gesture. “This is Alexander.”
Izzy and Jace both turned to him with raised eyebrows, but Alec just rolled his eyes. He joined the table with a lot less flourish and gave an awkward wave to Magnus’s companions. Clary gave him a smile, while Simon still looked panicked to have Izzy standing so close.
“Don’t mind my siblings,” Alec said to them, gesturing to Izzy and Jace. “They’re idiots.”
Izzy and Jace made affronted noises, and Alec hid his grin against the lip of his drink. Magnus, however, was a lot less subtle, throwing back his head in laughter. Alec couldn’t help but stare at the long expanse of his neck, the necklaces that trailed down from it, bouncing against his collarbone and dancing down the exposed skin of his chest…
Alec shook himself and cleared his throat, managing to drag his eyes away from Magnus. Jace and Izzy were shooting him knowing looks, but Alec quickly looked away to try and deter their teasing, at least a little while longer, hopefully when they were no longer in Magnus’s earshot.
Instead, Alec tossed his arm over Magnus’s shoulders as casually as he could, burying a smile when Magnus immediately leaned into his side and rested his head on Alec’s shoulder. Then, when he looked down at Magnus, Magnus wiggled his eyebrows and nodded very deliberately in Jace’s direction. Alec grinned.
He leaned forward, careful not to jostle Magnus too much, and pulled out his phone, waving it tauntingly in front of Izzy and Jace.
“By the way? I won.”
Jace’s jaw dropped and Izzy clapped a hand over her mouth, eyes torn between pride and mirth. He knew he was going to get even more teasing for it later, but that didn’t matter, not when Magnus was tossing his head back into another one of those full-bodied laughs and gripping Alec’s bicep to help keep his balance.
So long as Alec got to hear that laugh for a long time coming, he would put up with all the teasing in the world.

A Mind Wreathed in Flame - Chapter Two
I still can't figure out how to put the "read more" thing on mobile so bear with me! In this chapter Tolro shall find himself far from places he knows. What shall become of them?
Apologies in advance if Jace Beleren is ooc.
--
It was loud. Far louder than it was meant to be. Brighter too. Tolro sat up in a daze with a wicked headache, confused. He expected to wake up and see the rubble of the library in front of him. Maybe even back at home, perhaps a friend or relative could've picked him up.
This wasn't home. Not by a long shot. He scrambled to his feet, eyes wide. The architecture of the buildings along this busy street was like NOTHING he had ever seen. From just what he could see he seemed to be in a… rather large city. People around him were dressed in strange outfits that weren't familiar - and we're looking at him like he was the fish out of water here.
His confusion wasn't helped by the crushing reality of what had transpired the previous night. The fire in the library, not being able to control or stop it… Tamlin and Jax, dead. He covered his mouth, stumbling backwards. Tolro hadn't thought things could get worse, but where the hell was he now?
Hinestly, he simply panicked. He ducked between people, trying to avoid running into anyone and failing miserably. Some people seemed to not mind or notice his presence but others glared or stared with terrifying intensity. Tolro put his hood up as he damn near ran, trying to find solace from the crowd and how loud their thoughts were.
This can't be happening, this has to be a dream. Or an illusion. That one illusionist idiot back home must be messing with me. No, no, that can't be right. I hurt, I hear their thoughts. That's real! What do I do…
In his harried confusion, he didn't notice the person right in front of him, and ran into someone. Proceeding to fall to the ground. And if Tolro was to be honest, this didn't help his nervousness.
The person was taller then they were, slender, with rather unkempt brown hair. He was wearing an outfit and a cloak of blue and white.  He looked at the younger mage with what seemed to be concern.
Tolro quickly got to his feet, and sprang back a step. One hand already on the pouch attached to his belt where he kept several matches. Though he found himself hesitating. He knew how things went wrong last time. Could he even risk it? What if the flame got out of control again? Even if he didn't know where he is, he didn't want something like that to happen. Not again.
The brown haired person furrowed his brow for half a second, before raising his hands in a non-threatening way, a sympathetic look on his face. "Calm down, you're okay, I'm not going to hurt you." He said, calmly.
Tolro remained tense, trying to stay resolute. "Who are you- and where the hell am I?" He tried to sound tough. The fact that he was literally shaking didn't exactly help that image.
"My name is Jace Beleren. You're in Ravnica." He replied, calmly. "It's alright, I understand that you're probably very confused right now. You seem and sound like you've been through a lot. It's okay."
"Ravnica - no, that doesn't… sound right. I've read maps and atlases and countless history books and I don't know a single place by that name."
"This is probably very confusing for you. That makes sense. And it's pretty clear from how you're acting, thoughts aside that you're in a lot of pain."
"My… thoughts? So you can-"
"Read other's minds too? Yes. I'm surprised you didn't try to see if I was hostile that way."
Tolro paused, and slowly allowed himself to relax ever so slightly, still looking at this 'Jace' with a bit of distrust. He didn't seem to want a fight. And nothing seemed too threatening at the time. But he was still high strung.
"What's your name?" Jace asked, tilting his head a little.
"...uh… Tolro. Tolro Ketsord."
"It's nice to meet you, Tolro. I understand you're confused at all this. Don't worry, I'm here to help. Come with me back to my home, it'll be quieter for you there and I can help explain to you what's going on, okay?"
"Fine. But don't try anything."
"Trust me, I won't. You've clearly been through enough."
Jace led the way through the streets of this… 'Ravnica', as he had called it. Tolro ended up putting his hood up as they walked, feeling uncomfortable and somehow even more lost then before. This clearly wasn't home. Could he even get home? Was this a trap? All these thoughts and more plagued his mind.
He distracted himself by looking around. People seemed to regard Jace with respect, and Tolro wondered why. He was genuinely impressed by the architecture around him, despite his confusion and mistrust of this place. Some of these buildings had to be insanely old. What possible history lay under his feet? How had mana been used in the past? Surely a place this… varied yet cohesive had to have a fairly intriguing history.
If anything, those thoughts distracted him a little from his worry and guilt.
They soon arrived, Jace leading Tolro to the inner sanctum of this place. If anything, Tolro could appreciate the sheer amount of books. If he wasn't in such a terrible state, he'd be almost leaping at the chance to read or learn about this place. But this didn't seem like the time.
"Have a seat, you seem like you've gone through a lot." Jace said, offering a smile. "This is probably new and very confusing for you. Don't worry, you could've ended up somewhere a lot worse."
"What do you mean a lot worse - or ended up?? What the hell is going on?"
"I'm going to explain, don't worry. Can I ask you what happened before you found yourself here? You don't have to, but I can tell you're in a lot of pain."
Tolro hesitated. He hated what had happened. Surely this kind seeming person would hate him for what had happened. Jax and Tamlin's deaths were his fault. But what choice did he have? It's not like he had any idea what was going on.
So he explained what had happened. Slowly, haltingly. If anything he wondered why it mattered. He managed to get through most of the story, but when he was about to recount seeing his friend's bodies he choked up.
Jace sighed. "I'm sorry for your loss, Tolro. That's something no one should have to go through. But it explains how you're here and not in Dominaria."
"How could all of that explain anything? How could having killed my friends explain anything like this?" Tolro almost snapped, frustrated and frankly confused, before he froze. "I - sorry, I didn't mean to snap."
"Don't worry, I'll explain. You're what's called a planeswalker. To put it simply, you have the ability to travel between different planes. You're originally from Dominaria, but your planeswalker spark ignited and brought you here. Probably because of the pain of the loss."
"That… ugh, I'm honestly not in the mood to figure out how that even works. This doesn't make sense…"
"You get used to it over time."
"Used to it - I'm terrified to even use my magic right now. You heard what happened!"
"Do you want some help?"
"What?"
Jace offered a smile. "I'm a little familiar with struggling to concentrate and some aspects of what your abilities are. And you look like you could use a friend. What do you think?"

Dreamer File 07
Fandom: Doctor Who
Pairing: 13th Doctor x Reader
Summary: The Doctor and fam found themselves in a dangerous place. The Doctor met a former companion who is supposed to be dead.
Warning: ooc, angst, plot holes as usual, mention of violence, death, a possibility of dark!doctor.
More warning: English is not my native language and I suck at it but I wanted to write for DW so please pardon the mess.
A/N: I'm running out the fuel to write fanfic. I wanted to make a short and to the point fanfic with specific scene that I want to write but I kept driving myself with madness about how to fit the puzzle for the beginning and ending and then I ended up not writing at all. I thought about postpone posting this fic at least until I could start and finish one more fic but like I said I'm running out the fuel to write. It's weird because I finally have some time for myself due to the lockdown and for the life of me, I couldn't apply my butt to chair and write. I suck at this. Ugh!
The Doctor had no idea what happened. She and the fam were on one of their routine adventure when thing got wrong very quickly. As usual, they ran into trouble and the Doctor intended to fix it. But, of course, the random villains of the weeks were unhappy of the Doctor's interference. Next thing they knew, they were sucked into a mysterious portal.
The Doctor and the fam woke up in some woods in the middle of nowhere. With the Tardis out of reach, the Doctor had no choice to explore the woods in hope to get some help and explanation about their current whereabouts.
They saw a young man and woman from a distance and they stupidly called out to them.
"Oh, look at that. Newcomers." The woman glanced at them with a sinister smile. She got a gun and armed with knives.
"Hello, there. I'm the Doctor. And they are my friends, Yaz, Ryan and Graham." The Doctor explained once they were within hearing. "We got lost, you see, and we would appreciate it if you can..."
The woman shot at Ryan right at his stomach before replying coldly, "don't care."
Ryan looked shocked, his mouth hanging open. He looked down at his injury before he lose his footing and fell to the ground.
Yaz quickly tried to catch him and lessen his fall.
Graham is frozen, unable to comprehend what just happened. When he regained his bearing, he quickly bend his knees near Ryan.
Yaz tried to stop the bleeding but she knew his injury is fatal.
The Doctor is enraged that her companion is injured. "Why would you do that?!"
Yaz screamed at the Doctor to help with Ryan's injury. "Doctor, do something!"
Graham hold Ryan's bloodied hand as the young man looked up at him as if he want to say something but couldn't.
The man pulled out a sword from his person and grinned. "I love newcomers." He walked toward them threateningly.
The Doctor quickly used her sonic screwdriver to throw his sword away from him before returning to fuss over Ryan's injury.
The man looks annoyed but also amused. "Interesting choice of weapon." he said.
Yaz and Graham started sobbing as Ryan wheezed some more before he stopped breathing altogether.
The Doctor froze in her helplessness as she just watched her companion got killed right before her eyes.
"It's not fun when they don't run." The woman said, stopping the man. "Run, newcomers, run. The others are coming and you lot are fair game."
The Doctor glared at them coldly but when she realized what the woman is saying, she quickly grabbed Yaz and Graham to run despite their reluctance to leave Ryan's body.
 7777
The Doctor realized the woods is a place of hunting and they are the prey. If what the woman said was true, there are others, most likely armed and they won't lend a helping hand to them either.
They finally found a hiding spot after a long while. Yaz and Graham were still shocked from the sudden loss of Ryan. The Doctor walked back and forth, wrecking her mind for a way out of the cursed place.
Graham finally snapped and he said he wanted to avenge Ryan's death. Of course, the Doctor quickly tried to talk him out of it. Yaz insisted that they have to find weapon defend themselves against whoever come next at least.
They had to leave their hiding spot when they heard a group approaching nearby. The woman who killed Ryan was not with the group. But, the Doctor overheard them talking about how Maeve managed to nail one of the newcomers. Now, the Doctor know the name of the woman who will unleash the wrath of the oncoming storm. But, for now, she reign in her temper and focused to keep Yaz and Graham out of harm way.
The Doctor instructed her remaining fam to follow her and to be super quiet to get around the group. However, unfortunately, Graham accidentally missed a step and make a noise that alert them to their presence.
 "Run." The Doctor ordered.
They barely able to dodge bullets and arrows that sorta rain down on them once the group are aware of the prey within their reach. Yaz got separated from the Doctor and Graham in the process.
The Doctor is at least relieved that Yaz with her police training might be able to maneuver her way out of danger. Now, her focused is on the grieving Graham. He still wanted revenge and the Doctor know he will be reckless about it when next they meet Maeve.
However, a man managed to get the drop on them and took Graham hostage. The Doctor tried to reason with the man who held a knife on Graham's neck. But there is no reasoning with the man, the Doctor realized in horror, for the man is insane with the lust to kill.
Graham was helpless as he stared at the Doctor in fear as he could feel the knife inches away from his neck.
A shot was heard and the man was shot right on the head dropped dead.
The Doctor's eyes widened in shock at the dead man before her before looked up to see a figure in red hood a few feet behind the man and Graham.
Graham touched his neck in relief before weakly reached out toward the Doctor. His body is trembling in fear mixed with shock.
The figure in red hood put down the gun and walked toward them.
The Doctor stood in front of Graham protectively.
The figure pulled down the hoodie revealing a young woman underneath. "Come on, newcomers, let's get out of here before the rest of them come."
The Doctor's eyes widened again in disbelief. "(N-Name?)"
(Name) glanced at the Doctor in confusion. "How do you know my name?"
The Doctor look confused. "Are you really (Name)? (Name) (Last Name)?"
(Name) frowned. "Do we know each other?" she asked. "Never mind. We need to leave. Now. Follow me if you want to live." She ordered before turning to leave them.
The Doctor grabbed Graham and made to follow her.
Graham was quiet the whole way. He didn't even bother to ask how the Doctor know their saviour.
"I came here with another friend, Yaz, she got separated from us." The Doctor explained. "We have to find her."
"Don't worry, Jace and Lolo are on it. We heard that there are three of you. I told them to help out when they can." (Name) said as she motioned them to follow on her.
They arrived in some clearing when (Name) suddenly turned around and pointed her gun at the Doctor.
The Doctor and Graham back off in surprise.
"Now, tell me which group did you join with?" (Name) demanded.
 "W-what?"
"You know my name. That's meant one of the groups told you."
"I don't know what you are talking about, I have no idea what group are you talking about, believe me." The Doctor said, raising her hands in placating manner. "I know your name because we have met before. It's me, (Name), the Doctor."
(Name) froze. "Doctor..." she whispered in disbelief.
"I know I look different. I regenerated." The Doctor explained. "Surprise, I'm a woman now."
"Doctor, you know her?" Graham finally asked.
"She was my companion." The Doctor said with a sorrowful expression. "But she was lost to me a long time ago." She moved toward her. "How can you be here?"
"Prove it." (Name) took a step back, still pointing the gun at her.
 "What?"
"If you are really the Doctor, prove it to me."
"I have two hearts, you are welcome to check." The Doctor said.
(Name) scoffed. "You could be the Master for all I know."
"Ok, fair point but the Master wouldn't have companion."
"He once had a wife for companion."
"Yeah, okay, that happened too." The Doctor thought about it. "Oh my sonic screwdriver. See." She pulled her sonic screwdriver proudly.
(Name) didn't look impressed. "Tell me what was the last thing I said to you. If you are the Doctor, you would know."
The Doctor was silent for a while. "You said..."
"(Name)!! Incoming!!" A man suddenly rushed toward them with Yaz in tow.
"Yaz!!" The Doctor ran and hugged Yaz in relief to see her safe and sound.
 "Doctor!" Yaz hugged her back.
(Name) observed the interaction. The Doctor's identity is confirmed by the reaction of her companion. She stepped forward toward the man to deal with whoever coming.
The man, Jace, ordered the Doctor and the rest to hide themselves as he readied himself for a fight.
The Doctor, for once, obeyed the order and gestured her companion to do the same.
The Doctor watched in a bit of fascination and horror as she watched her former companion disposed the threats in cold blood using every available weapon on her person.
 7777
(Name) led the Doctor and friends to her group's domain. There were other people within domain, both human and alien alike.
The Doctor stood close near her fam, awkwardly trying to comfort or grieve for Ryan with them.
"Why are you lot looking like someone shot your puppy?" (Name) asked.
Graham snapped at her, told her to show some compassion, they just lost one of their own.
(Name) observed the Doctor's silent but fury expression. She knew that expression, the oncoming storm expression. She chuckled. "Well then, this is your lucky day. No one in this world stays dead for long."
The Doctor frowned. "What does that mean?"
"Right, I forgot that you are newcomers. Don't worry, Doctor, your friend will be fine. He or she will resurrected again at the end of the day." (Name) said.
The Doctor exchanged a confused but hopeful look with Yaz and Graham and they demanded explanation some more.
"I don't know much despite being here for long..." (Name) replied with faraway look.
The Doctor flinched at that but she didn't noticed.
"We didn't know where we are. We just called this world; prison world. As the name implied, there is no way out. People just keep adding, appearing out of nowhere, but we couldn't determine the way in or out. It is like we are in a some closed time loop or something. Every night the day reset and people who died today will be alive again. Found out about it the hard way actually the first time I came here." (Name) said with a sigh.
"Wait, so the people that you and Jace killed earlier and Ryan, our friend, they will all come back to life again soon?" Yaz asked for confirmation.
"Unfortunately." It was Jace who answered Yaz. "The day repeats and the hunting begins all over again. Everyday, we killed or be killed, over and over and over again."
The Doctor kept her eyes on (Name) who remained silent, crossing her arms, with a look that the Doctor can't quite decipher. "I'm so sorry, (Name), I didn't know." She whispered. Had she known that (Name) survived, her previous incarnation would have never stop searching. Unfortunately, the Doctor had believe in her death, grieved for her and moved on.
(Name) blinked at her apologies. "I know. Wasn't your fault that I ended up here. Surprise to see you, though. Never thought I would see, well, meet you again." She observed the Doctor. She knew her as a man before. It was, she dare say, a pleasant surprise to see the Doctor regenerated into a woman.
Yaz stared at the Doctor and (Name). "Do you two know each other?"
"She was a former companion according to the Doc." Graham replied. "She saved us from one of the crazy lunatics who had me at knife point."
The Doctor still stared at (Name) with almost a longing look that made Yaz a bit jealous. "I still don't know how you ended up here."
"That's because I didn't know either. I was fully expected to die that last time I saw you. But, this portal suddenly sucked me in and the next thing I knew, I was here..." (Name) said.
"That's exactly what happened to us as well." Yaz exclaimed. "Isn't that right, Doctor?"
"Yeah." The Doctor murmured softly. She took a step toward (Name). "How long have you been here?"
(Name) shrugged. "Time doesn't exactly work right here so I don't have the slightest clue, feel like it has been forever though. I have been killed so many times here during the early months enough to start to fight back. I grew tired of being prey." She said with a cold look.
"Wait, the last time you saw the Doc, you were expecting to die?" Graham asked.
"(Name) sacrificed herself to save 90 people." The Doctor said softly with almost a hint of pride and a bout of sorrow.
(Name) snorted at that. "I wouldn't recommend doing that." She said at Yaz and Graham. "It was not worth it. Never be a martyr, especially not for strangers. At the times, I thought I would be welcoming death and be at peace and shit, instead, I got this hellhole."
The Doctor flinched at that. She was feeling guilty.
Jace moved to stand beside (Name), putting a hand on her arm as a gesture of comfort.
The Doctor noticed how (Name)'s eyes softened at the sight of Jace and wondered if... But, she put a stop at that thought.
"The things we had to do to survive... We have to kill and be killed so many times we lost count. Some of the people out there are very creative in their torture and killing methods. So, we have to learn to adapt, be the predator instead of the prey." Jace replied, staring at (Name) with obvious fondness.
(Name) turned to regard the Doctor. "Right. I suggest we find your missing friend as soon as possible. I would hate for him to end up with Homer."
"Homer?" Yaz asked. "Who is he?"
Jace wrinkled his nose in distaste. "That man is a real psycho."
Graham snorted. "Thought everyone here are all bonkers."
Jace snorted. "Well, you are not wrong." He shared a grin with (Name). "But, Homer is a sadistic bastard. He is also a loner with a disarming look that could fool you into believing he is harmless. Unlike the others who left their victim of the day's bodies alone, this shit would keep them and wait them to resurrect to repeat the process again."
"You said new people keep appearing here and you saved them." The Doctor said to (Name) with a proud tone.
(Name) shrugged. "Only did it to get more people on our group. Safety in numbers and all that jazz."
Now, the Doctor's expression looked like someone kicked her puppy.
"Yup." Jace continued. "Can't let the other groups gets to them."
(Name) asked for Ryan's description to which Graham showed his picture via his smartphone.
The Doctor gazed at (Name) with a sad look. She wanted to catch a glimpse of the familiar girl she known before but she is beginning to wonder if the old (Name) has gone completely. She knew that (Name) had to adapt in order to survive in this harsh place and she can't judge her for her actions but to see the warm and kind girl she knew before turned into this cold and calculating woman is a bit too much.
 7777
The Doctor ordered the fam to stay there while she goes with (Name) to fetch Ryan. They wanted to come too but the Doctor refused to risk their life.
The Doctor followed (Name) trailing around the woods. She kept making conversation that fell flat because her former companion refused to open up with her.
"(Name), I promise you, I will get you and the others out of here." The Doctor grabbed her and made that promise to her face. "I will save you."
"Don't make a promise that you can't keep, Doctor. I knew better. I have travelled with you long enough to know the Doctor can't save everyone. At least, not always." She replied.
The Doctor knew there is truth in what (Name) said but she is determined to save (Name) at all cost. She will not abandon her again.
They were ambushed and the Doctor, once again, had to watch how (Name) killed their pursuers in cold blood. She noticed (Name) didn't falter at all and dare she says, it almost look like her former companion enjoyed the killing. The Doctor knew the people that (Name) killed will be resurrected again but the Doctor can't help feeling ill at the level of violence that her precious (Name) can muster.
 7777
Yaz and Graham hugged Ryan when he returned with the Doctor and (Name) the next day. They were relieved to finally see him, as promised, alive.
Finally getting her fam back, the Doctor can finally breathe easier and now she can focused more on the world around them. She started to interrogate (Name) and her group. The Doctor noticed the tower over towering the wood and deduced that they have to go there to investigate.
However, (Name) and the group were very reluctant to go to the tower. In fact, they almost didn't acknowledge the existence of the tower. The Doctor realized there are a huge amount perception filter surrounding the tower which make the prisoners of this world steer clear of it. She reckoned the warden of this elaborate prison resides over there.
It took some convincing but (Name) finally agreed to go to the tower after the Doctor dared her to. She was pissed at the Doctor for mocking her and took the bait.
 7777
As (Name) feared, despite making sure to travel in small group and to tread lightly, they ended up got ambushed by various groups.
The Doctor managed to garner their interest with her promise to get a way out of the prison world. "I am the Doctor. I am a time lord. I am two thousand years old. And I am the man, I mean, woman who will get you all a passage out of here. In fact, I am the only person smart enough to pull this off. All I need is your cooperation to cease fire and help to get to the tower." She said.
(Name) rolled her eyes in fondness at the Doctor's familiar action. It reminded her when she used to travel with her Tenth incarnation.
Some didn't believe the Doctor but some found amusement in her and decided to see what happen if they get along. One of them is a woman called Maeve and the Doctor recognized her as the woman who shot Ryan the day before.
Graham and Ryan were understandingly wary of her especially with the way the woman being dismissive of her former victim.
Yaz walked toward the Doctor and expressed concern. "Are you sure we should help them, Doctor? They were killers. Rescuing them and unleashing them in the real world after they got taste for murders doesn't seem right..."
"Don't worry, I will hand them over to UNIT and Torchwood to rehabilitate them." The Doctor reassured her.
 7777
The tower in question has a layer of protection. It was a good thing the Doctor has armies in her disposal to counter the tower's attack upon intruders.
The Doctor found a room with complicated machinery which she deduced to be responsible for the time loop upon the world where nobody stays dead.
There is an old man there, a watcher, he prefer to be called to counter the Doctor claimed that he is the warden. The man has some connection with the machine that causes both time loop and ensure the imprisonment of everyone there.
"Why are you doing this? Why kept them prisoners?" The Doctor asked.
"I had orders." The old man replied.
It was then Jace found a room filled with monitors. It was a live feed of each person inside the prison world, showing the life of the prisoners.
The Doctor pulled her sonic screwdriver over the live feed and realized it was broadcasted outside the prison world and to her ill feel, as some form of twisted entertainment of the galaxy out there.
It was Maeve who snapped in fury and she broke the warden's neck.
"Why did you do that? Dead within the tower is permanent!" The Doctor yelled at her in anger.
"Good." Maeve said as she glared at the dead body of the warden.
The machinery started bleeping suddenly and the Doctor rushed toward it to see what is going on. She was able to manipulate the energy from the machine to create a portal to call forth the Tardis. But, the dead of the warden as well as the manipulation of the energy caused the world to become unstable.
The Doctor realized the warden is the anchor to this world and someone need to take his place or this world will quickly crumble out of existence.
Maeve immediately threaten them to volunteer to be the anchor already. She took Yaz as hostage and demanded the Doctor to fix it so that she can get out of the cursed place.
The Doctor tried to placate her. "I will get you lot out but you have to let Yaz go. I will not have you kill one of my friend again." she said with a hint of the oncoming storm in her tone.
"Better hurry then, Doctor, like you said death within the tower is permanent. You wouldn't want to lose her for good." Maeve said with an evil smirk.
A loud alarm sounded from within the tower causing Maeve to get momentarily distracted and the Doctor moved quickly to pull Yaz away frm her while (Name) stabbed Maeve, twisting the blade, to cause her more pain before dropping her to the floor.
The Doctor glanced at Maeve's dead body and then toward (Name)'s blooded appearance with mixed feeling.
"Go. Do your thing, Doctor." (Name) said flatly.
The Doctor quickly moved back to deal with the machinery. She still need someone to be the anchor long enough for her to safely evacuate the rest of the people within the prison world and so far no one seemed to be volunteering. She can't stay as the anchor as she need to drive the Tardis later on.
Shortly after, they all heard the wheezing sound of the blue box.
(Name) couldn't help but smiled at the sound.
The tower suddenly shook in tremble. The Doctor recognized that the world is still crumbling all around them.
(Name) sighed, realizing that she has to take one for the team, despite her not really eager to be a martyr.
"Not you, (Name), not again." The Doctor suddenly said, surprising her.
Jace volunteered. "So, I have to the anchor long enough for you to get everyone to safety and then you will come and get me, right?" He asked for confirmation.
"Yes." The Doctor replied, avoiding eye contact altogether as she busied herself with the machine.
(Name) refused to let Jace to be the anchor. "No. You are not doing this. I told you not to be a martyr especially not for a bunch of strangers." (Name) grabbed one of his arms, pleading him.
"But, you are not a stranger, (Name)." Jace replied causing her to be speechless.
 "You are an idiot."
"But loveable idiot, right?" Jace asked cheekily.
A shot was heard and Jace laid death on her feet. (Name) is stunned at the sudden turn of event. She numbly stared at Jace's death body and then at the new arrival of idiot people.
The Doctor tried to diffuse the situation, trying to convince the group to cease fire and let her work out escape for everyone. She promised to give them a second chance if they leave their weapon out of the Tardis. But before she could convince them some more, (Name) went ballistic on most of them, uncaring of the injury she sustained in the process.
"Why would you do that?" The Doctor is upset with (Name) killing people within the tower.
"They don't deserve your second chance, Doctor. Not when those who deserve it, won't get it." (Name) said as she gestured on Jace's dead body.
The Doctor told the fam to go aboard the Tardis. Yaz led some of the group that come earlier with them to come in, providing they agreed to shed all their weapon aside and they did.
 "Hook me out then."
 "What?"
"You need an anchor, don't you?"
 "No, not you, (Name)."
"My choice. And it's not like you have any other volunteer."
The Doctor is silent but recognizing the truth in her words. So, she worked on her without words. After she made (Name) the anchor, she went inside the Tardis but before she closed the door, she gazed at her and said, "I will come back for you. I promise."
(Name) sighed with a tired smile. "Do your best then, Doctor."
The Doctor faltered. There is a crack in her mask. And (Name) knew then. The Doctor lies.
"I guess this is goodbye." (Name) sighed.
The Doctor looked like she was being slapped.
"It is alright, Doctor, I wouldn't know what to do with your second chance anyway. I have been a killer for so long I wouldn't know how to be normal again...or how to be the (Name) you used to love."
The Doctor knew she had to let her former companion to sacrifice herself once again but she is unwilling to let go. But time is running out and she has no choice but to abandon her again once more.
 7777
After the Tardis disappeared from sight, (Name)'s knees buckled down as she let herself fall to the ground, defeated. She knew the moment the Tardis vanished from the prison world completely. She sat there for what seemed like hours before she made up her mind. The world has stopped crumbling but her heart still feel like it is about to shatter.
(Name) didn't bother to find out if there are still anyone in this world, if the Doctor get them all to safety. She didn't care. She stood up and set to destroy the machine utterly, continuing the process of destroying this cursed world. She give herself a dead sentence and she welcomed it. She can only hope death will be permanent this time.
 7777
The Doctor had put everyone to sleep via the sleeping gas inside the Tardis. She recognized the dangers of having this many potential killers on board the Tardis and she will not risk her fam's life. She contacted UNIT and Torchwood to deal with the people she rescued and left.
She dropped the fam at their home as she said she wanted to be alone. Yaz is reluctant to leave her but the Doctor didn't give her a choice.
She stood there at the console, alone and sad and tried to come to term with what happened. She shook her head and pulled a lever on the console and moved all around the console pushing some buttons.
 7777
(Name) laid on the floor inside one of the cozy room within the tower, nursing herself a wine she found in there. She didn't like the taste but beggar can't be picky. She watched from the balcony the crumbling world outside absentmindedly.
 "(Name)..."
She turned around when she heard that voice. "Doctor...?"
There, stood in the middle of the room, an astral projection of the Doctor. She was staring at her with sorrow and regret.
She took a few step forward toward the Doctor. "You are not really here..."
"No." The Doctor said with clear regret. "I made use of tiny opening within the world you are in to send my astral projection here."
 "Why?"
 "I have to see you."
She sighed. "Doctor..." She stared at her with fondness. "Why do you made yourself unnecessarily suffer right this?"
The Doctor glanced at her sadly before replying, "because you are worth it."
"I am really not." She said. "I am a monster. I saw how you look at me when I killed Maeve and the others.... I am not the old (Name) that was your companion."
The Doctor didn't reply at that. She noticed the crumbling world outside but didn't comment on it even though she knew what it meant. She turned to look at (Name) with glassy eyes. "I am so sorry that I couldn't save you...again."
"You are saving me. Before you came here, I didn't even know permanent death is possible. Now, I don't have to be a killer anymore." She said with a watery smile.
The Doctor reached out toward her wanting to touch her before realizing she couldn't.
(Name) smiled genuinely for the first time after so long. "My Doctor... Thank you for still be my doctor even for a short a while."
"You will always be my (Name) no matter what."
She shook her head. "Some part of me wishes you never laid eyes on this part of me. I would rather you remember me as the (Name) that was kind and innocent, not this Me, this ugly version of me."
"You are not ugly. Never to me. You will always beautiful in my eyes." The Doctor said.
Tears started to fell from (Name)'s cheek as she nodded gratefully. Even if it was a lie, she was glad to hear it from her Doctor. She wanted to say she loves her and that she always will but she feel like it would be unfair to her. So, she didn't.
"You better go now, Doctor." She said as she noticed the tower is starting to fall apart around them. "I would rather you are not here for this part. Allow me some dignity."
The Doctor gazed at her longingly before she pulled a stone from her pocket. She kept her eyes on (Name) before took a step back and push the button on the stone and with a blip, the projection is gone.
(Name) smiled before turning to face her end.
 7777
The Doctor bend in front of the console. Her face is clouded with sorrow as she stared at the monitor. The monitor show the recorded feed of (Name) from the moment she first arrived inside the prison world until their painful goodbye.
The Doctor, after she left (Name) to her death, tracked down the link to the broadcast to see who set up the prison world. She found the recorded life of the prisoners instead. She took the entire drives before blowing up the station that broadcasted it. She has not found the real culprit yet but she will. And when she did, it is only a matter of time, she will make them pay dearly for taking (Name) in the first place, for taking a companion from the Doctor.
She paused the record to a face of her former companion. She touched the face within the monitor longingly, letting her sorrow and the righteous fury of the oncoming storm to wash over her again.

A/N2: Well, this fic kinda inspired by the prison world of Legacies and the tragic love between Sebastian and Lizzie so I decided to make one but with the Doctor and Reader. I'm a sucker for angst, after all. Legacies is one of my favorite witches show and I was thinking about making a DW x Legacies fusion fic in which the reader is a witch. I read plenty of DW fic on tumblr before with the reader being a witch or any other supernatural creatures and I want to write something similar to them. But, the problem is I have to write them first before posting it and it's hard I just wanna cry here.
Anyway, please leave like/comment/reblog if you like this fic, maybe? Thank you for reading till the end.
And thank you for everyone who read all my fanfiction and has leave like/comment/reblog before. You are all my sunshine.

(Warnings: death, hints of self harm, prequel, poorly edited, some characters may seem ooc)
*Your POV*
Pacing had always been the way I escaped stress, but today had not seemed to do the trick.
"Damnit Y/N... It's all your fault.." You scolded yourself out loud as you paced outside the infirmary. "What were you even thinking?"
"Hey it's not your fault." My friend, Isabelle said placing a hand on my shoulder, "It's Jace's. He's the one who charged at that demon head on."
"Yeah but Izzy he told me to cover him. And I screwed up." I banged my head on a panel as punishment and looked down, leaning against it. "Now he's dying and who knows what's going to happen."
"Y/N please..." Izzy pleaded. "I think you need a break. Do you wanna go out? Let's go out!"
"Oh please Isabelle. You just want an excuse to get drunk."
"Yes and you need to stop worrying. C'mon. Let's go."
The wine served at the Pandemonium Club may not have been thick, but it was enough to send my mind reeling and dizzy and next thing I knew it, instead of dancing with Izzy, I was with some other guy with electric blue eyes, his hands clinging to my waist. I didn't mind much, my intoxicated mind taking over, I turned over to Izzy to see her clinging to another man, his arms holding her high. Still, I kept dancing with the stranger, not caring.
That is, I didn't mind until this stranger pressed his lips on my neck.
I pushed him away, shouting, "No!", and turned my back on him, grabbing Isabelle away from her man and walking out of the club.
"Dude... What was that for?! I was having such a-"
"You can thank me later." I cut her off, grabbing her wrist, "Let's get out of here. TAXI!"
"Party pooper." Izzy muttered as she climbed into the back as I sat in the front with the driver.
"Where the heck did you go?!" Alec hollered as me and Izzy entered the infirmary drenched in white flakes, Izzy clung to my shoulders.
"The Pandemonium Club." I replied tartly, setting Is on a bed where she almost instantly fell asleep, "Isabelle's idea. We were on our way home and got caught in a snow storm and the taxi driver kicked us out so we started walking. Didn't help that your sister fell asleep on me."
"So she was the only one... intoxicated?"
"Nope." I laughed at Alec's use of words, "I was drunk too but I break out if it pretty fast." I finished, not mentioning the blue eyed man.
I know it was stupid.. But something about his... Cold lip... Terrified me.... I don't know what it was but it scared me. It made me sick. Dizzy. Made my bones run dry. It was almost... Inhuman...
I didn't like it.
"Y/N!" Alec snapped at me, pulling me from my thoughts. "Wait here till Jace wakes up. I'm taking Isabelle to bed." I nodded as Alec picked up his baby sister and left me alone with my close friend.
He looked so sickly. So fragile. And it pained me.
It was all my fault... It's always my fault... Isn't it?
I'm the dumb newbie who screws everything and everyone over, and naturally, it took on my best friend instead of that asshole Alec.
He didn't deserve any of this, but Alec needs to learn some respect. Even for a Shadowhunter, he is rude and arrogant! After a while, it really gets annoying.
I toyed with Jace's hair, attempting to get the blood out of his golden stands, then quickly paused and looked out of the institute.
The white snow still flustered down quickly, as if racing the other snowflakes to tap the ground. Just looking outside made chills run outside and I longed for nothing to be playing outside with the Lightwood's and Jace. I knew this would never be accept though.... Not anymore.
I may be a sixteen year old girl, but I'm first and far most a demon-hunter. Nothing could compete with my life ambition.
I wasn't even born into this life. I showed up at the Instute door, only for people to later realize I had the blood of the angels, making me one of them. Not once in my life have I actually enjoyed this life. Never. It's torment, nothing more.
Just thinking about my past... My cold... Sick past made my stomach queasy.
But you know, it could always be the liqueur.
Hearing a small moan, I was pulled from my head and I turned to see Jace sitting up from his bed, his golden eyes halfway opened. "Damn Y/N..." He muttered, "Someone had fun while Jaey-Poo was asleep."
Chuckling, as he used the nickname I called him as a child I replied, "Well who knew there could be a party when Jacey-Wacey was out cold." He laughed and I looked down. "Sorry about that by the way... I should have covered you more per-"
"You didn't do anything love." Jace cooed, taking my hand. "It's my fault. Anyhow... What did I miss?"
"New York's first snow of the year." I replied, gesturing at the window. He quickly sat up, looking pint into the open and sighing at the sight.
"Looks like a memory... Remember that one time when we snuck out of the institute when we were eight and-"
"Threw snowballs around and we needed hitting Mrs. Lightwood!" I inturpted as we both laughed and Jace snapped at me.
"It was you who did it you know."
"Shut it! It was you and I was the one who took the fall for it!"
"You always took the fall for everything I did... As I am the sweet innocent child." He spoke sarcastically, giving himself a halo as he nudged my arm and I almost instantly winced, suddenly feeling sick. "Oh no what did I do to you?" He leap from the bed and took my arm, reeling up my sleeve only to revel a small mark on my shoulder, black oozing up from the top and making its way around my body. "What were you doing? What-"
"I was at a club" I cut him off again as he stroked the cut, lightheadness flooding me. "And I w- was dancing..."
"With who?" He exclaimed, rage becoming apparent in his voice.
"I- I don't know.." I mumbled, my head leaning into Jace's arms. "It was Is then this other guy who freaked me out so I..." I paused and took a deep breath as Jace searched frantically for his Stele.
"By the angel were did they put it.." He muttered as I began to cough violently into my shirt and darkness drew closer. A dark moan escaped my mouth as I attempted to close my eyes, Jace catching me quickly and shaking me awake. "Not yet Y/N... Not yet..." He stroked my hair gently as I used up my strength putting just enough effort into my brain so I could keep my eyes opened. Jace laughed darkly. "You know... You're going to be okay, alright? You are just going to go to sleep really quick and you'll open up your prettyeyes tomorow and everything is going to be okay." He laughed again and took your head and put it gently in his lap, laughing as you shook your head and placed a shaking hand to his hair. He smiled sweetly. "No... I know you'll be fine... You want to know why? Huh?" He laughed gently putting his lips to my ear and whispered gently, "Because I love you... And that's why you can sleep now... Okay?" You nodded gently, easing some restrain as he picked you up and sat you on the bed. "You can just close your eyes, if you want or you can fight. I couldn't care..." He laughs again, looking out into the snow, "Everything you love really does die..."
"I'm not going... Not going to be dead. I just won't be living..." I replied and he turned back to me.
"What's the difference?" He replied, smiling lightly, "I can't see you either way.."
"I'm still here." I replied, touching his heart with one hand and head with the other, "That's the difference."
