Second day of @sariphantom's Rise August Art Challenge! For whatever reason, I've been wanting to redraw this scene for a while now (screenshot below the cut), and today's theme gave me the perfect excuse to do that!

There's just something about this picture that I absolutely love. Leo in the trash can, Donnie hanging upside down, the way they're looking up/down at each other, the graffiti cat under a rainbow in the background... It's a true work of art.

lived my whole life in guilt bc i thought i was responsible for people's feelings. newly realizing that other people are responsible for their feelings and reactions, even if they make it seem like i'm the problem. a lot of the time it really has to do w them and their own emotional regulation. i can't keep thinking i'm not allowed to have space bc of other people's insecurities. like i literally refuse to dim myself. other people are responsible for their feelings just as i'm responsible for mine.
#like i'm always gonna operate from a place of kindness but i've had to deal w so many people who're bad at communication/confrontation#which led me to think i'm the problem#that i deserve to be given the silent treatment or dismissed disregarded belittled etc#that's j not true. i'm far from perfect but i think so few people deserve that kind of reaction. and my biggest revelation is i do not#even if people want to make me think i do / that their reaction is justified / that i'm a burden etc#my biggest problem is i humor people like this for too long bc it's been normalized behavior to me#does this make any sense to anyone. it's the end of the year and i'm reflecting on so many things#p

in my rewatch of marble hornets i just realized that, entry #84 where it's revealed that brian is the hooded man.. after alex has him and tim do their voice lines, brian offers to have alex join them for dinner. to try and get his two friends to dinner.
alex declines, and brian insists even saying he'd wait for alex to pack up, but alex lies and says he has a lot of auditions to go through (he has none), and they leave.
the last few seconds of the tape is alex stopping on the side of the road, under a street lamp. the camera glitches.
in entry #2, alex is talking, revisiting a street under a lamp where he describes having seen a stall slender man standing there.
its the same fucking street, the same lighting, under a street lamp, and the camera glitches for the first time and alex is confused.
