My egg gadget journey.

Since I started learning to cook eggs in a pan I have been trying to solve various problems in my usual way... buying gadgets.

Because I love gadgets.

My first problem was that I wasn't happy with my whisking. I didn't feel like I was getting the egg whites and yolks fully incorporated. So I bought this fork whisker thingie.

It has little holes in the tines for optimum whisking!

Or so the Amazon page said.

I thought it would be the size of a normal fork. But in reality, it was gigantic and unwieldy.

I felt it was so large that it actually made it *harder* to whisk eggs.

So that has been retired to the drawer and has not seen the light of day since.

Then I was having trouble flipping my omelettes. So I got a special omelette flipper.

This helped a little, but it was too thick and I still had trouble getting it underneath.

Into the drawer it went with its whisking fork friend.

Then a follower suggested a different kind of omelette flipper.

These have a very thin edge and really get underneath the omelette well. This was my first big success in egg gadgetry. I was able to achieve my first successful fold using this.

Then I was becoming frustrated with egg cracking. I couldn't do it consistently. I tried on the side of the pan. I tried on the flat countertop. I was improving over time, but I still felt like a gadget could be helpful.

In my brain I was envisioning some electronic doodad that used A.I. cracking technology to perfectly open the egg.

But then I found this...

It's just a small dish with a raised edge in the middle. Just about the simplest solution imaginable. Doesn't even take batteries.

And it is fucking fantastic.

It's called the "Crack'em" and so I like to say "Release the Crack'em!" when I use it.

You do have to develop a technique, but once you get that down, it cracks eggs perfectly. And it gives you a nice clean section to pull apart the eggshell. And the yolk doesn't drip out as much before you are ready to release it.

Everyone should get a Crack'em.

I still wanted to solve my incorporation issue. I got better at whisking but I still felt like a gadget could improve things.

So I decided to go with the nuclear option.

This thing is nuts. For the low price I am really amazed at how solid and well-built it feels. And it fucking pulverizes the eggs into a perfectly homogenized substance where white and yolk no longer exist and you just have... egg.

Pure 10,000% incorporated egg.

And with this gadget I was able to increase my egg fluffiness by 20%. And my eggs were already pretty damn fluffy.

The egg pulverizer is also very easy to clean. You just run water and turn the blade and angle it so it doesn't spray you in the face. You will get sprayed in the face before you figure out that angle. So prepare yourself for that.

And that is my gadget journey so far.

I'm considering this weird flippy pan that would allow me to cook my omelettes evenly on both sides, but I am in a scrambled eggs era so I'm not sure I need that right now.

It also looks like I could easily yeet hot omelette juice into my face if I am not careful. So I might just stick to my traditional pan.

OH! And one non-gadget thing I learned.

If you have seen The Bear there was a scene where Sydney cooks an omelette and crunches potato chips on top.

And it works! Tastes great on scrambled eggs as well.

Potato chips, who would have thought?

Taking Care Of Baby Mutant Turtle W/ Donnie; Hc's

first off, the tiny tike for a reason unknown to anyone, is that they only seem to stay calm when Donnie and you are in the same room, but you BOTH have to be there! No exceptions!

it's like they know on some cosmic level that you two like each other, and are trying to get you both to hook up by playing some pseudo game of house

Mikey once joked that they're like you're little cherub, and you couldn't have shoved a pillow fast enough over his face to stop him from blurting your crush on his brother to the world

Donnie on the other hand thinks it's some kind of taunting joke the universe is playing on him for all the endless pinning he's felt towards you

but if anyone ask, he uses science as an excuse, saying that the baby mutant most likely imprinted on you and him as you both were the first to find them in a TCRI lab

Whatever the case is, you two work as a team to care for the little one

Donnie does everything he can to make sure they’re at optimum health, and you help with that by providing nutritional foods

They might be mutant, but no way are they starting life off on just pizza!

You learn so much about turtle health from Donnie, and he ends up learning a lot about taking care of children from your own experiences with human kids

Donatello gets extremely excited about picking out clothes for them, and you find his excitement very adorable

Part of you wonders if it’s because he didn’t get to have much of that option growing up, and so have no qualm with indulging in buying cute articles of clothes that your closest friend picks out for your little one

Donnie nearly dies when you two show up in matching onesies, and just about ascended to a different realm entirely when you present him with one as well, hand crafted by your own hands!

that baby is the safest baby in the world you best believe!!

not only do they have three amazing uncles and super bad ass grandpa, but neither you or Donnie would ever let any harm come to that child

Since the baby turt is so attached to you, everyone thought it best you live with the brothers and Master Splinter for the time being

This leads to many nights falling asleep in the lab or Donnie’s room since the small bab really wants to be near him as well

Just like with the four brothers Master Splinter collects baby pictures of the newest addition to the family

His favorite by far is one he took of Donnie and you huddled together next to a makeshift crib with the baby being cradled by you both, each one of you fast asleep in the others embrace

instead of opening up the surprise appearance by apologizing and clearing up the inconvenient tension between the two friends, yn had blatantly brought up the chemistry project they were supposedly partnered up for. 

“a surprise seeing you here.” a half-lie. kozume expected tetsu to talk to yn about the situation but he didn’t expect yn to show up in front of his door. well…yn has always been hard to pinpoint so maybe expecting the unexpected is the best option when it comes to her.

“uhm your texts about chem? the project. i came for that.”

“oh. yeahhh, we got partnered up for it.” 

“yeahh.”

“yeah.”

yn swayed back and forth awkwardly in her spot in front of kozume. “so can i come in?”

“shit yeah sorry,” kozume pushed himself off the side of his doorframe, fully opening the door for yn to enter. “it’s kinda messy, band practice has been on and off randomly so the guys just put their things wherever.”

“it's okay. also, i brought cheese.” yn walked over to the couch, took off her bag, and let cheese roam around the table in front of her. she looked over at the kitchen to see what looked like the makings of pasta. “were you making dinner?”

kozume hummed in response, picking up ginger and placing the kitten in the middle of him and yn as he sat down on the couch next to her. “he missed you. a lot.”

yn’s lips curled into a smile, watching as ginger pitter pattered onto her lap. “hi ginger,” she mumbled, stroking the kitten’s head. “i missed you too. more than a lot.”

her attention stayed glued to the snuggly friend but kenma’s attention was stuck on her.

“yn-”

before he could even begin his sentence, yn cut him off, now eager to do what she intended to do in the first place. “listen about the other night, it was an accident and i was drunk and you know how tetsu and i are when we drink. and yeah maybe i shouldn’t be drinking in the first place because of that but literally who cares! i just wanted to have fun before we maybe die and kill ourselves because of college and the growing pressure of society! and i didn’t know keiji would even be there- i mean i saw his car and i thought of the possibility of somehow seeing my ex who goes to the same school as me and lives in the same city as me be at the same place as me, but like who would’ve thought we would see each other at the same karaoke place on the same day and at the same fucking time for christ’s sake! i’m so over him by the way, i don’t even know why i threw up. maybe it’s because i broke up with him over the phone and never saw him since and confrontation isn’t my strongest suit so maybe that’s also why it took me a little over a week to see you face to face again to apologize which is what i am supposed to be doing now but i’m...just rambling,” yn groaned, her body falling backwards on the couch as she closed her eyes tightly before letting out a deep breath, “what i am trying to say is i’m sorry, kozume.”

yn prepared herself for whatever kozume’s reaction were to be, her body still laying flat against the couch with ginger on her chest. “hnnghh kozu-”

a silly little chuckle.

then a fit of giggles.

then finally a full blown laugh.

“seriously yn,” kozume giggled out, pulling her body upright so that they could look at each other eye or eye, “you really didn’t need to apologize over that. it was an accident, i understand-”

“HUH? so why’d you let me say all that, you jerk!”

ignoring her outburst, kozume continued, “i get it, you saw something that caused your body to react. just y’know…not the way you expected it to. plus i know you’re over keiji and i know how you are when you drink- kind of. it was a fun night, just sucks you kept overthinking about the whole thing enough to ignore me for a whole week. it hurt, ms. green peas.”

"i know,” she whined, “i should’ve just talked to you the day right after-”

“especially since we’ve known each other since what? the second grade?”

“especially because of that.”

“so why didn’t you?”

“don’t act like you don’t already know, kozume.”

“i mean i do know, but i just like when you verbally overshare things.”

“because i like you.” yn stated, seeing as kozume’s playful demeanor disappeared to make way for his reddening cheeks. “and i like when you get all red. did i ever tell you how noticeable it is when you start blushing?”

“whatever.” the blond let out a groan, pushing yn back down to when she was flat against the couch before standing up and making his way over to the kitchen. “i’m gonna finish making dinner. don’t break anything. and i’m taking your mouse with me.”

yn waved him off, telling him to feed her little friend before turning her attention back to ginger. “oh and i’m sleeping over. i’m tired.”

“are you asking or...?”

“no, i’m telling you. you’re stuck with me, pooks.”

The embarrassment quick to redden his entire head, the demon puts his hands up in a near defensive gesture. Forcing a crooked grin that doesn't last much longer than a second.

" Easy there, cowboy ", he rasps, mentally preparing for the possibility to fight. Ugh, Crowley hates that part, especially when toppled by something he has no idea how to beat. " Unless next stage is us kissing, you might want to... " And he points over his head where a group of demons approaches. " ...get the hell off me. "

It had been purely instinctual on the Nightmare's part. When presented with an optimum opportunity to strike, he took it. Pinning the demon down beneath its weight with one hand firmly planted on its neck and the other reaching for concealed blades hidden beneath its jacket.

Ocular maws retain their focus solely on those lively pair of eyes. Deliciously enticing, to the point of driving the Nightmare to sideline personal preservation in favour of an attempt to obtain said glistening prizes.

But the momentary lapse of self control is easily reigned in when open maws gain a taste of encroaching demons. Its visage flicking up to take note of Crowley's backup.

With a slowly growing smile, the palm that had disappeared into his jacket retracts empty-handed. The Nightmare redirecting its attention to the demon caught beneath it. With a soft chuckle, it leans forward to catch the Demon's lips in a tempting kiss. Its fingers tightening slightly around his neck before the Nightmare leans back with digits slipping down his collar to momentarily rest upon the center of his chest.

"Just keeping you on your toes, darling."

It muses as it slips off of the demon and moves to stand. Its jacket straightened before an extended palm is offered to the King on the floor beneath him.

♡ basic gif tutorial!

hiiiii!!! i've made a tutorial in the past but i thought i might update it with this tutorial (re an ask i got a few days ago)! please keep in mind that i'm far from an expert when it comes to giffing but i am open to clarification and further questions <33

DISCLAIMER! there are so many ways to make gifs! everyone has a different process, so don’t be afraid to deviate from this! also! feel free to send an ask for further clarification :)

1: converting !

one of the major issues when it comes to ensuring the best quality for your gifs is making sure that you’re using an application that maintains at least a 1080p quality of the video you use. it’s not a good idea to gif anything below 720p as the quality of the video and consequently, your gifs are not going to be the best!

i) choosing a video

if you’re going to gif, i’d recommend choosing videos that are hq!

✰ Stage Gifs

for stage gifs i use .ts files! it’s definitely easier to source a performance video from youtube, but they won’t provide you with the quality you desire. if anything, use youtube as a source for stage gifs as a last resort!

for ts files, you can use:

-> rosebay

-> twitter (search [group name] + [date of performance] + [ts])

i personally use rosebay for my seventeen performance gifs but other groups do have sites/blogs that are specific to them.

psa: kpop24hours are currently not taking in any applicants atm! best advice would be to follow them on twt and keep their notifs on in case they do

these sources (at least, rosebay) are easy and pretty self explanatory to download!

✰ Normal Gifs

for normal gifs (i.e. of interviews, behind the scenes, going seventeen, etc.) i use youtube <3 keep in mind that it’s always best to use the source most reputable to ensure quality. for example, if i were to gif an inside seventeen video, i would use the seventeen official channel’s post of that, not reposts or anything like that!

to download youtube videos, i use:

-> 4K Video Downloader!

ii) how do you download youtube videos via this application?

all you have to do is:

1) copy the link to the youtube video (PSA this application only works for converting youtube videos)

2) press the green plus button on the very lefthand corner at the top

3) a window that lists the options for the video quality you want will then come up.

4) if it offers 1080p, it is almost always best to choose that for optimum quality!

5) the video will then download and you’ll be able to access it via a folder labeled 4K Video Downloader in your files app.

2. resizing and sharpening !

personally, i don’t sharpen in ps unless absolutely necessary. for most of my sharpening, i leave it to vapoursynth.

now, vapoursynth is a massive pain to download and use but it’s worth it in the end (i promise!! i’ve cried over it a lot but i probably wouldn’t be happy with posting my gifs without it)

i personally found it a bit complicated to download vs so i’ll refer you to a tutorial i used (i also got help from some of my moots bc idk how to do anything so dw if it’s confusing :sob:)

i) how to use vapoursynth now that you’ve gotten it downloaded?

this is probably the hardest part of the tutorial (at least, in my opinion) :sob: for this example, i’ll be using my 4K Video Download instead of a vlive, so if you were using a vlive, you’d have your downloads folder open instead of the 4K Video one.

1) open your files folder twice, make sure that there are two windows open - one being the vapoursynth folder (for me, it’s called VapourSynth64Portable (200722) but it depends on which version of vs you download) and another being the 4K Video Downloader folder.

2) notice the different applications (?) within the vapoursynth folder. in particular, the vapourscript (drop video file on me) one. drag the video you want to gif from the 4K Video Downloader folder onto that app, and it’ll open up a new window. this window is the timestamp window.

3) in this new window, type in the length of the video you want to gif. i personally do this bit by bit (as in, i timestamp each gif instead of letting vapoursynth run through the whole video, which, in retrospect is probably smarter but i am a Fool). for example in the video i’m giffing, i want one of my gifs to run from 0:56-0:58 of the video. so i input the start timestamp. in my case, this would be 00:00:56. and then i press enter. this would direct me to put in the duration of the video i want to encode, which, in my case, would be 2 seconds (00:00:02).

4) press enter again! it’ll open up a window on whichever internet server you use (for me, this is chrome) with a bunch of options:

5) next, you want to alter all the options so that it becomes a gif of the size and sharpening you want.

psa: all of the things below are advised options! it’s completely up to you to choose what settings you use. don’t be afraid to experiment!

ii) resizing

-> to resize, you want to use the GIF Size option. keep in mind the acceptable sizes of gifs on tumblr! if you gif something of an incorrect size, tumblr will probably destroy the quality even more than it already does and make it incredibly blurry, and you don’t want that! to prevent this, make sure to refer to this helpful guide on gif sizes for ones you could use!

for this gif, i’ll be using a 540 x 450 size.

make sure to move your gif around so that everything you want people to see in the gif is there. you can even drag the gif out to zoom in, etc.

6) input the size you desire in the width x height sections next to the GIF Size option.

iii) preprocessing

-> this indicates how fast or slow vs will make your gif. for normal videos, i use qtgmc 30 slow and debilinear. however, i’ve seen in other tutorials that it should be different for performance gifs (i.e. qtgmc 60 slow and debilinear). however, this is all up to you and your preference! experiment, and see what works for you!!

for this gif, i’ll be using qtgmc 30 slow and debliniear.

7) select the speed and debiliniear options next to the processing title.

iv) denoise filters

-> this option basically acts to smoothen your gifs!i tend to use KNLM and have actually never used BM3D before, but feel free to choose the latter!

8) choose between KNLM and BM3D (next to the denoise heading), and select the tickbox that comes up underneath it.

v) sharpening

-> this is when you sharpen your gifs! and make them look less grainy than if you were using ps directly. i personally use finesharp, but again it’s up to you!

9) choose between finesharp and VCFreq, and check the tickbox that comes up underneath it.

this is what my settings are like for this gif:

10) next! you need to alter the values for sharpening and denoise! this can be done on the coded box in the upper right-hand corner:

11) first, change the denoise filter value to whichever one you wish. for this gif, i will be using 1.8. this can be done by altering the “1.2” value in the row that has the text “video = core.knlm.KNLMeansCL(video, 0, 6, 4, 1.2, channels = "YUV”)

12) next change the sharpening value to whatever you want! for this gif, i will be using 0.33. this can be done by altering the “0.22” value in the row that has the text “video = fun.FineSharp(video, sstr=0.22).

the text box should now look like this with your altered values:

13) copy the text and you’ll notice that this window has opened on your taskbar. you will need to copy the text from here into this app - vapoursynth editor.

14) paste the text from that upper right-hand corner into the vapoursynth editor underneath the text #whatever you copied from the resizer goes here.

15) before continuing, depending on your laptop’s speed and ability to process things, i’d recommend lowering the RAM usage to something more bearable for your laptop to process without it overheating and getting damaged. i personally use 300 as the RAM usage but feel free to use whatever you want.

this is what your editor should look like now!

16) press f8 and it’ll open a new window. this will be where you get your edited video that will be good to put in ps and play around with. change the preset option to Export to MOV. and next to the header title, make sure to select Y4M in the dropdown menu. after this, you should be good to press start!

3. giffing !

now this is the part of the tutorial where you kind of get to do your own thing

i) importing

1) open photoshop and click on file, then import, and video frames to layers. it’ll open up your files.

2) what you want to do next is find the output folder. this folder can be found within your vapoursynth folder. that is:

vapoursynth64portable >> gifs >> output

3) click on the output folder and it’ll come up with another window:

make sure your settings are like this before clicking ok!

ii) actual gif making!

4) once you’ve clicked ok, it’ll direct you to the workspace. you will have the frames for your gif on the bottom and the layers on the right-hand side. i won’t go into the specifics for giffing since you asked for quality but if you’re looking for more specific instructions on how to actually gif, feel free to send in another ask or i can refer you to another tutorial!

i) timing

you can alter the timing by selecting all the frames and making it faster or slower - it depends on your preference!

ii) colouring

colouring is the foundation of your gif - it’s what makes it look good!! have fun with it, and try out different colouring! you could also look into using psds if you want! psds are basically pre-made colouring (filters, essentially) that you put over the top of your gif

5) once you’ve finished with the aesthetic steps of making your gif, it’s time to export! to export, you must click file >> export >> save for web (legacy). it’s up to you which export settings you use but make sure that your gif is under 10MB!

6) and voila <3 you’ve got a gif!

More pack refreshes. Too many to name but we need things to be more fleshed out in 2024 and beyond.

More consequences. I personally do not need the game to be more challenging (because life be doing that I play to relax) but some interactions appear impactful and then... flat nothing really happens.

More active careers. Singer, Dancer, Teacher/University Professor, Personal Trainer to name a few.

Lastly more clothing options for men and children because... yeah the options are low compared to adult females.

Personally I don’t understand why Ray’s happiness at the end of ep 7 is scaring people so much. Yes he loves over the moon but that makes sense. Even if he doesn’t have strong romantic feelings for Sand right now and still loves Mew so much it says it all that he has the “man of his dreams” and still won’t leave Sand alone and wants both at the same time. So much for loving Mew so much and treating him good 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I echo your sentiments Anon,

I haven't been reading too much into how other people have taken this, but it doesn't surprise me there's been a Ray/Sand sector meltdown since the ending of Episode 7. The ship has not sunk. It's not doomed (yet), so let's all take a breath. We've got almost an entire half a series to go yet.

And you're right. If Ray really had no feelings for Sand at this point, he wouldn't suggest they stay 'friends' at all. Why would he bother? That clearly indicates Ray can't fully let Sand go, despite obtaining the man he's always 'supposedly' wanted.

Ultimately he's known Mew longer, he's had feelings for Mew longer. So it's perfectly understandable that he'd cling stubbornly onto those feelings first and foremost. Which means Sand comes second, but Ray's clearly not prepared to forfeit him completely. He doesn't want to have to choose between someone he's been pining after for 2 years and saved his life, and someone he clearly likes, seems to be super compatible with, who came out of nowhere.

The major issue with Ray is he hasn't confronted his feelings for Sand, or tried to make sense of them. He hasn't acknowledged why he cares. Mostly because he's been so stubbornly steadfast on Mew, he's refusing to acknowledge any options outside of that. But this is definitely also his emotional immaturity showing.

If Sand was not in the picture, and Mew did suddenly take an interest in him back, I'll bet Ray would be pretty set. I don't think his eyes would wander. And because of that, he's getting all bothered and bratty.

I've always been a strong believer that timing is paramount in relationships. There's an optimum window of opportunity where something could have happened (the most ideal of circumstances) - but once it's passed you by, it's unlikely to ever come around in the same way again. Because you'll change. The other person will change. The circumstances themselves will absolutely change. The moment has been and gone.

I don't know how I always manage to come out with a mini essay when it comes to these, but I do love pondering them! So keep them coming!

At this point I would actually rather have a chapter of Sukuna and Kusakabe talking, even if it's just for stalling. Too many opportunities to give insight on Sukuna's higher understanding of "true jujutsu" have been wasted for cheap tricks.

If Sukuna's strength is being focused on, I want it to be something more than just him "being that good".

I actually liked his outburst with Maki this chapter. It's nice to finally see him invested and make hypotheses about the nature of jujutsu. I could see this getting more focus in the future as well, since Sukuna also has an exceptional body that used to be a hindrance to him and got him ostracised from society, only to transform it into something that became an advantage. Him and Maki have a lot of similarities and Sukuna seems to be aware of that and eager to explore all those implications. It could be an opportunity to give us more of his backstory and bring up the conjoined twin thing as actual text for the first time. What better time to go into it than when he is facing a twin, who has pushed her body to the ultimate optimum at the cost of her sister. With how the fight has been going, I definitely think the relationship and similarities between Maki and Sukuna will keep being a point of interest in the next chapters. A good thing because I agree that it is high time that Sukuna gets to show more of his character than just being an unreachable pinnacle of strength.

Kusakabe has basically been Mr. Exposition ever since the timeskip, so he could fill this role again, but I don't see much coming from it except another info dump because I doubt Sukuna would be interested in talking to him. So for the talking part Maki seems to be the better option, even if it is just some teasing to get Sukuna to open up even further. She is also pushing Sukuna to his limits, meaning we might get to see more than just the same Cleave and Dismantle attacks. They don't even seem to work on her, so he has to find something better. He wants to test his jujutsu against her body and for that to work he will have to bring out more variety and maybe even things like the Black Box, which he usually doesn't have to use. It could be a good opportunity to really show his knowledge and proficiency in jujutsu and also give us some more insight from Maki, see what her new body is really capable of and how she can use Split Soul Katana even more efficiently.

I still think it's a shame that we didn't get a trial for Sukuna to show how he would act in an environment where he can't rely on jujutsu and his strength, not to mention that the way he got out of that situation was stupid and pointless. But Maki could be another way we can get a bit more depth out of him and once he warmed up with her, we might finally get some good direct interaction between him and Yuuji that isn't just shallow insults we've heard dozens of times at this point.

A/N: Guess who stumbled upon a Latin grammar textbook in her local library? Yeah, this took me awhile because I had some options. There was “Amoris pulchritudo” (The beauty of love), which would have been badass. There was also “Amor est pulcherrimus” (To love is the most beautiful), very close to the French. But I realized quickly that any starter word more than two syllables long would be murder, and I’m a stickler for accent stress. Hence, I took advantage of Latin’s syntactical flexibility. If this story makes me smile when I think of Jerry O’Malley and Ed Payne, as I knew them personally growing up with their daughters, was a frequent guest at their homes .

As told by Paul F Crickmore in his book Lockheed SR-71 Operations in the Far East, having deployed ‘976’ to Kadena air base, on the Japanese island of Okinawa, 11 days earlier, Maj Jerry O’Malley and Capt Ed Payne duly flew the same aircraft on the Senior Crown (codename for the SR-71 programme) operational debut. They coasted in on a heading of 284 degrees at 78,000 ft (23,774 m) and Mach 3.17, passing over Haiphong. In just 12 minutes they had overflown Hanoi – then the most highly defended city on earth – with impunity, the jet’s sensors recording dozens of high-value targets, before exiting hostile airspace in the vicinity of Dien Bien Phu. Decelerating and descending over Thailand, the crew rendezvoused with several KC-135Q tankers and took on 80,000 lbs of JP-7 from two of them. With fuel in the tanks, Maj O’Malley quickly reached the SR-71’s optimum speed and altitude and headed back over North Vietnam, before plotting a course for ‘home-plate’ – Kadena air base, on Okinawa.

On contact with Kadena, Approach Control, they were dismayed to find that the base was completely ‘fogged in’. The pilot talked to the tower controller and then to Col Charlie Minter, who agreed to allow them to attempt a low visibility approach for a visual landing.

O’Malley never saw the runway, and pushed the throttles forward to go back ‘upstairs’ to contemplate further options. Low on fuel, he called for the standby tanker that had been launched earlier just in case the weather at Kadena turned nasty. After link-up, he took on 25,000 lbs of fuel, while Payne copied a two-figure encoded number that told them the location of their divert airfield — Ku Kuan, on the island of Taiwan.

Two additional KC-135s were launched to accompany ‘976’ to Nationalist China, the SR-71 adopting a tanker call sign as the number `two’ aircraft in a three-ship formation. This deception was undertaken to hide the inter-island diversion from SlGINT monitors on the Chinese mainland. As they made their way `low and slow’ with the tankers, the destination airfield’s non-directional beacon returned. A crowd of at least 500 Taiwanese gathered 15-deep along a 300-yard section of the fence, all of whom were fascinated to see such a futuristic jet standing on their airfield almost within touching distance. *Note years later, when General O’Malley was a PACAF Commander he found out that SR 71 pilot David Peters was having trouble finding a hangar for his SR 71. O’Malley made a phone call minutes later a hangar became available for Lt.Col Peters. We agreed to the quest WAY too quickly, there's DEFINITELY more info that the Watcher isn't telling us

Not sure if he's going to be a bad guy or not, but he's definitely over-simplifying it all

TYRIL REUNION?????? I WAS EXPECTING MAL AND NIA SINCE THEY PROBABLY STAYED IN WHITETOWER (I'm DEFINITELY not complaining even if I'm only romancing Imtura, I love the overdramatic ride-or-die blue boy)

Reunion dialogue and chapter plotline was excellent BUT I think I would have felt more satisfied if Kade and Tyril (and maybe the nespers) had worn their sad or smiling faces the whole time, the flat expressions just made the dialogue feel a bit ungenuine for me

It would have been really sweet if Tyril had struggled to focus on fighting the monster and kept on staring at MC just to make sure he wasn't imagining it or something

Nay, I did not, my first playthrough tactic is 'fill out survival then whatever's in the middle then combat' and it did me pretty well in the first book before I knew the optimum choices, so I'm going to stick with it this book as well

I rated it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, purely down to the flat expressions, but it definitely would have been ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if Kade and Tyril had looked more emotionally impacted the whole time

I did capture Aerin in B1! I've never really cared much about Aerin, his capture was more of a 'I don't want him fighting against me if I don't have to have him fight against me' kind of thing, but I did choose the 'maybe I'll visit you' option just in case the seduction is needed to unlock a choice again

Hmmmm. I'm not entirely sure. On one hand, I trust Nia and she seems to be running the Temple well, or at least far better than it was being run before, buuut I'm getting major 'Aziraphale and Heaven' vibes tbh. The Good Omens 2 trauma is real.

I didn't quite unlock a skill, but I think I'm only five or so points away? Whenever I unlock it, it's going to be the third Survival choice—I have Realmwalking and Shadowsight already, but I have no clue what the last one is
