My favorite scene from Anguish of the Marrow.
Inspired, Alastor bounded to his feet and took up his microphone. He gave it a dizzying spin then tossed it twirling into the air, catching it on the downstroke and slamming the ferrule into the oriental carpet.
He told reality to move, and it bowed to his whim.
The room folded in on itself like existential origami, and when the both of them popped back into comprehensible space Alastor's office had become a dance hall during Carnival, looking somehow both long-abandoned and as though the party had only just ended. (...)
Angel yelped when he realized he had been transported atop a raised stage, anachronistically adorned with a sleek silver pole which he leaped onto as though he expected the floor to scorch his feet. Understandably, it took him another moment to register that Alastor had also taken the liberty of manifesting him a new outfit.

Did you ever call your teachers by their first name? If you work in education, do you let the students call you by your first name?
The nibblings were discussing what students would call me if I was a teacher yesterday and it reminded me. When I used to be a substitute I never bothered to introduce myself or write my name on the board, literally just never thought of it. One class I had a girl raise her hand and ask what my name was so I automatically gave her my first name and after a few seconds added my last. There was dead silence in the 8th grade classroom for a good 30 seconds to a minute before she burst out with "we can call you by your first name!?" I was like yeah sure. You would probably not believe how absolutely excited this made the students, I heard my name more times over that class period than I hear it in a year lol. The next school year I was at the high school and hear my name and turn around and it's the girl from that class and she yells Hi then turns to her friends see I told you I wasn't lying!
*Asks are for fun, no pressure to answer quickly or at all.*
Yes, all of them, because in Sweden we call everyone by their first name. There was only one exception, but that was because we had three teachers named Lars (which only has one natural nickname) and he was the only one with a unique surname. If I was addressed by my surname in any context I'd probably blue screen.
I took a couple of courses in England back in the day and the amount of anxiety I had over not knowing how to address the teachers was insane haha (I ended up just not calling them anything, just raising my hand and going 'excuse me')

BNHA SPOILERS, AS USUAL, KEEP MOVIN' 💗
Certain fans: The adults in MHA are terrible! They're using CHILDREN in their war! This is terrible for the story!
Certain fans: But Katsuki should stay dead tho. That's good for the story.
Horikoshi: Hey, so here are the consequences of the flawed society, and children being used by desperate adults in a war situation, and here's some Pro Heroes who are doing everything, including sacrificing themselves, to make sure that Katsuki, a child, survives the war.
Horikoshi: Also, here's how it affects Tenko/Tomura to see this, it's going to start a major reaction in him that will be integral to the next chapters and eventually, in IZuku rescuing him; as well as AFO pointing out the implications of using children/students to fight the war when Adults abandoned the fight.

week 3 of painting every (other) week of 2023 🌙
Gotta be honest I’m not done with this and I don’t really want to continue but I think this is good progress considering the fact that I have been avoiding acrylic paints for 10 years ever since I had to use in a class and found it so frustrating
