One thing I truly do not get (a moment of yapping):
A good majority of people who are fans of Miquella are the ones who often will also tell you straight up that his actions are still ultimately wrong even if well intended. Yet, he’s always written off as the ultimate problem of the entire game.
Folks can understand the nuances around Marika.
Folks can understand the nuances around Messmer.
Folks can understand the nuances around the Greater Will.
Why is Miquella not allowed that?
Ngl I also believe homophobia plays a big role in why people act this way. (Granted the manipulation was still wrong) some folks really have a hard time believing that at some point Radahn could’ve agreed to it and then backed out (hence the “promised consort” thing) and some people really don’t want to fathom that their masculine icon of manhood could be queer. In which they blame the gay character as the main problem that forces queerness on others… which unfortunately is a very common accusation the LGBTQ faces.
