Beginning of the year wasn't kind to me.

Got the 100% diagnosis that I have MS, which made me really really sad. I was struggling to come to terms with the fact that therapy would be finished come summer. Could I manage my OCD and anxiety without therapy being there to helm me? I was so dissatisfied with work that I was constantly angry. (I couldn't even paint my fathers father's day present pretty because my hands were shaking so much because of all the anger).

I don't want sympathy or anything about this. I just needed to write this down for myself. Because I'm feeling so much better.

I'll be able to be a guest student in my local uni come October. I flew to Greece for vacation this year with my sister and her bf. Even work doesn't make me this angry anymore.

The rest of the year can come at me. I will get through whatever it throws at me.

It's honestly crazy that discussion around testosterone HRT skews so much towards the beginning stages of it (to the point that you have dozens of guys thinking their transition is "failed" if they don't pass by like a year in lol) and what the initial changes of the first couple of months to years look like, like the classic laundry list of those early basic changes like bottom growth, voice drop, etc, when IMO literally none of that compares remotely to the depth and intensity of the long term total masculinization you start to experience like 3-5+ years in.

why do i keep seeing whole videos on advice for artfight from “veterans” or whatever. here’s all the advice you need:

you don’t need to draw every day

you don’t need to fully render every drawing, sketches still count and the person receiving it will still love it

you don’t need a fully polished ref sheet for every single character, having a basic one or even just a colour palette along with whatever other art you’ve done works fine in most cases

you don’t need to draw a fully rendered piece every single day do not burn yourself out or injure yourself for funny little internet points good lord
