So I picked back up Monte Cristo since I have reading time again, and may I just say Albert being Mercedes’s son is the biggest time screwup ever. Mercedes is 1-3 years younger than Dantès depending if he is 18,19 or20. By his own mention, he’s 20, but then later he’s 19, so who knows. But then we get to him being imprisoned for 14 years which is by far the most “concrete and it is this quantity” in the book. But then we meet Albert (love this lovesick puppy kid, but that’s neither here nor there”. He’s the result of incest between Mercedes and Fernand (who says he’s French, despite being Mercedes, cousin and growing up in the Catalan village and has been given ten more years than he had at the beginning.). Albert then says they have been married for twenty years, but that’s before the novel takes place and since crap goes south at Mercedes and Edmonds’s pre wedding feast, there’s no way that they were married that long. And then Albert I saw ppl saying he’s 20, but then a son out of wedlock? For shame back then. But then if you apply any sort of logic to it, if Mercedes waited to marry the douche 18 months after Dantès was imprisoned (also explicitly stated), and we’ll say that despite all of the issues with pregnancies back then, Mercedes got pregnant ASAP with him, he should only be around 13. So this 13 year old is touring Italy with his friend, trying to bang Italian girls without any escort or parental supervision, and almost gets shanked to death. This timeline makes as much sense as a freaking comic book.

Echo Virtual Fieldtrip

            Echo stands for Educational Concerns for Hati Organization. The mission of ECHO was to initially help the people of Hati who were living in poor and harsh conditions. Poverty was affecting Haitians and still effects many people today. Roger Dugger, the founder of Echo, was very moved by this problem and set out to create an organization to try and fight this problem. Today ECHO has small farms and operations set up in over 190 countries around the world.

            After completing the virtual field trip, I found myself very surprised by the scale of operations that take place not only around the world, but right here in Florida. I learned a lot about sustainability throughout this trip. For starters there’s a lot of farmlands on the campus. Farming, when done correctly, is inherently sustainable and offers a lot to the surrounding community. I also learned that sustainability and resourcefulness go hand and hand, you really have to be willing to get creative to find sustainable solutions to modern problems. Organizations, like ECHO are important to the world for this reason, they offer a glimmer of hope to those dealing with seemingly impossible hurdles to overcome. Adaptive technology is using technology and altering it adapt. For example, taking a normal technology like farming, vertical farming is an altered form of regular farming. An example at ECHO would be keyhole gardening, allowing for farming when there’s limited space or people to utilize. Living fences were also around the campus, creating a natural barrier to separate path from grass. I think that I may use some of the tips that I learned in ECHO in my own life. Some of the special uses for products that I didn’t know could be utilized such as neem oil for getting rid of fleas.

            While I don’t have any experiencing gardening, I do have some experience being around plants. I have never had a personal garden and grew my own food but it’s something that I think would be very beneficial to myself and to others in the future. I think that I would be a lot less wasteful in general if I didn’t have a supermarket or grocery store to rely on for food. I don’t waste food, but I think if I found how hard it was to grow my own food, I would be less wasteful with other things in my life such as trash. I think the consciousness would carry over. Unfortunately, I think a majority of the foods consume aren’t always local and they have to be shipped from all across the country. While it is taxing on the environment its also taxing on the animals. I have tried in the past to buy meat from local markets, but the price is much higher than going to the store, this aspect makes it harder to be sustainable. I think it will be very challenging to start new gardening and growing my own food. It will take a lot of patience, trial, and error, but I believe it will be a necessity in the near future.

Can't go to sleep, so I've just been stuck thinking about Ayakashi Ghost Guild, and like MAN I miss it so much.

Don't get me wrong, the game was absolutely P2W (even for that time's standards) but like, as someone who was around 14yrs old, it was so fun and a quick thing to play.

And the whole situation of it makes me so mad that the developers didn't make an in-game announcement of the servers closing until after they made all these "great" deals and powercreep BS. It was so scummy throughout it's entire lifespan. But even as a F2P, it was my 1st gacha

Also, I'm mad that like, my first hard anime crush when I was still unsure of my sexuality is some random ass fucking anime dude from a now 5yr old defunct game. And I still think about him. His name is just Dragon King, like that's such a fucking dissapointment but I love him

Also, I just reheard the main menu theme, and god I really do miss the game. Even Otogi, the spiritual successor made by the same team who left Zynga just wasn't the same. And now Otogi has been shutdown too.

Also, whenever a gacha shuts down, (or I quit)I make sure to screenshot most of my units for reference and I'm so glad I started doing that. So question. When they say that someone gets x amount if life sentences what if that when you die in prison or jail they find your reincarnated soul and throw you in prison again? They continue that with your soul until your sentences are fulfilled? Like imagine a man is ordered to serve 3 life sentences and he has no chance of parole ever. He dies in prison for whatever reason and is reborn again as another male. At the age of 18 or20 they send you to prison again to finish another sentence. BUT! If you commit suicide they dont count it and you have to serve another life. No matter if your born white, black, Asian, Hispanic, or polka dotted if it's the same soul you go?
