Feeling Revived

Part 1 to my LU Musical!!! I can’t tell you how much I laughed while writing this- or how many times I had to get up and do the dumb dances or movements to make sure it made sense-

The fire crackled in the middle of everyone, the metal pot above it emitting a smell like no other. Sky recognized a hint of pumpkin and knew that breakfast would be rewarding.

He decided that he would use his lasting energy and asked around if anyone needed anything.

“I’m fine, but thank you,” Time said, clamping his armor.

“Huh? Oh! No, I’m good. Thanks for asking.” Four continued on sharpening their swords.

“Nah, I’m all good for now. Thanks though.” Legend leaned against a tree, his eyes already half shut.

“Well, we’re done already, but you can stick around!” Warriors and Twilight waved him over. He sat with them and engaged himself into their conversation. Then something came up and he was suddenly rambling about birds.

“Hey, Sky?” Sky paused his sentence and looked over to Four. “How…how are you feeling?”

“Yeah,” Warriors said. “You’ve been mighty hyper this morning. You’re usually napping while the Champion cooks.” He laughed.

Somewhere on the wind, Sky heard the combined sound of string instruments, a sound so beautiful, like soaring through the sky, wind coursing through your hair.

He opened his mouth. “Birds flying high, you know I feel.” Sky’s voice took on a tune as he looked to the sky. “Sun in sky, you know how I feel.”

Sky twirled on his feet, reaching his hand out to Twilight, who looked at him dumbfounded. “Breeze drifting on by, you know how I feel.” He takes Twilight’s hand and forces him up. Twilight stumbles, but Sky grabs his other hand to steady him. “It’s a new dawn-“

“What is happening-“ Twilight looked around, asking someone to tell him why Sky was trying to serenade him.

“It’s a new day-“

“Sky-“ Warriors wheezed.

“It's a new life…for me,” Sky let go of Twilight. Twilight let out a heavy sigh.

“And I’m feeling-“ Sky turned to the others.

“Why did you-“ Legend started to speak up.

“good,” Sky outstretched his arms like he was welcoming them somewhere. Suddenly, it was like a full orchestra started playing only a few feet away from them. The mighty trumpets and brass instruments standing out phenomenally. “I’m feeling good.” Sky’s arms went down and he walked to the perimeter of the camp, putting his hands on Wind’s shoulders.

“Fish in the sea, you know how I feel.” Sky moved on to the next, that being Hyrule. Wind gave Sky a side eye.

“River running free, you know I feel.” Hyrule awkwardly pat Sky’s hand before he left to the next. That was Legend.

“Don’t you dare.” Legend was already on his feet.

Sky snatched Legend’s hand, pulling him closer. “Blossom on a tree, you know how I feel.” Sky let go of Legend’s arm and Legend did a twirl. The heros’ cackles echoed through the camp. Legend’s cheeks painted a ruby red as he grabbed Sky’s hand once more.

They positioned themselves like they were about to start slow dancing. “Goddesses, kill me.” Then they started slow dancing.

“It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life. For me.” Sky dipped Legend. “And I’m feeling good.” He helped Legend upright and let him go.

Legend watched Sky walk away for a few seconds. “I’m going on a walk.” Legend left.

He next rested his hand on Time’s shoulder. “I’m not standing up,”

“Dragonfly out in the sun, you know what I mean don’t you know?” Time hummed. Sky didn’t go on to the next. “Butterflies all having fun, you know what I mean.” Sky let go of Time’s shoulders, pulling a sigh out of him.

Sky walked back to the center of the camp and put his hand over his heart, his hips swaying like the breeze of the morning. “Sleep in peace when day is done, that’s what I mean.”

Sky scooped his arms to his left. “And this old world-“ he scooped his arms to his right. “is a new world-“ he reached his arms to the sky and turned a full 180. “And a bold world for me.”

“For me!” Sky’s voice grew louder. The orchestra of brass got a second to play without Sky’s voice. During this time, Sky went back over to Twilight and a, now standing, Warriors.

Twilight hid behind Warriors just in time for Sky to grab his hand. “Hold on!” Warriors begs.

Sky twirled Warriors with little to no effort. “Stars when you shine, you know how I feel.” Sky let go of Warriors, but their bodies still moved in sync.

The slid to opposite side, then turned and pointed at each other. “Scent of the pine, you know how I feel.” They ran at each other.

“What is happening?!” Warriors screamed as he lifted Sky by his thighs and started to spin.

“Oh, freedom is mine! And I know how I feel!” Warriors put him down, starting to feel a lump in his throat. “It’s a new dawn. It’s a new day. It’s a new life.”

“It’s a new dawn. It’s a new day. It’s a new life-“ Sky took Warriors hands again, his voice getting louder.

“It’s a new dawn-“ Warriors joined in the singing, his eyes widening. Their voices mixed almost like one. They, too, started to do something akin to a slow dance. Though, it was definitely more microwaved than Sky and Legend’s. “It’s a new day! It’s a new life, it’s a new life for me.” Sky dipped Warriors. “And I’m feeling good.”

Sky picked him up and moved away. Warriors had nearly the same reaction as Legend, tomato red cheeks, wide eyes.

Sky walked the perimeter of the camp again. “I’m feeling good. I feel so good.” Sky sighed, sitting back where he started. “I feel so good.”

The trumpets and instruments soon faded. When it all went silent, Sky’s eyes widened.

“What just happened?” He asked.

Then came the laughing. It was high pitched, it definitely belonged to a woman

Warriors head snapped in the direction. Four tossed some of the others their weapons.

“Well, it’s a nice little curse I bestowed upon you. I hope it didn’t hurt too much.”

“Cia.” Warriors uttered her name like a curse.

“Hello Link.” She finally showed herself in all her barely clothed glory. “How I’ve missed you.”

“You should be dead.” Time spat, now on his feet, his armor half on.

She laughed again, flicking her hair. “White streak in my hair, but no stress now. Trade off that guy’s looking like a mess now. Driving off the tracks, but I’m back, and I’ve seen hell, but this is a bit more my style.” Her voice warped and suddenly, just like Sky, she was singing.

They couldn’t pinpoint what that sound was. Though, it was almost like some sort of alarm. Cia began to walk to then, her steps matching the beat of the now revived orchestra, “I’m alive, I’m revived, I survived.” She put her finger on Warriors’s chest. “You surprised? Gonna cry about it? You should see the other guy!”

She turned her back to them, her arms reaching for the heavens “I’m returned and I’ve waited my turn.” He only turned her head to make eye contact with Warriors. “A decade of time to make everything mine.”

She scoffed, turning her full body to them once more. “Am I the bad guy? I’ll be the bad guy again-“

“Just like last time? And we all know how that ends-“ Warriors stepped up, putting in his piece.

Cia’s eyebrows furrowed. “No one came to help so I helped myself instead. You think I cared? It was always a means to an end.” She rolled her eyes, a tantalizing smile back on her face.

“I got my second chance! I got a new lease on life. It’s not just circumstance, no, it was all in good time.” She outstretched her arms again. “So who cares? So what? I’m not calming down! Screw that! Keep up, now look around. Is something wrong with me?” She scanned the group, her eyes as sharp as a hawk’s. “I’m better now that I’m free. ‘Cause I’ve seen the other side and now I’m back where I wanna be. It was thirteen and a half years I spent on that platform in hell, but I’ve come back hell-bent.” She ended it off with a laugh suited for her.

“I hope you enjoy my little gift heroes, I know I sure am.” And just like that, the sorceress was gone, disappearing into a cloud of purple dust.

“So…” Sky broke the silence. “We sing randomly now?” He looked around.

Time sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I suppose so.”

“I’m going to fucking kill her.” Warriors starred done to the grass covered ground, his fist clenched.

okay just a wee rant about J and her genius with orchestra and also my genuine fear <3

okay so J's top symphony played Brahms double concerto last year and all movements Scheherazade and im losing my mind how saibejsghdb whsgja? uhsbshjhh??? im gonna try to see if I can make J telll me what we are doing this year (at least in first semester) but im losing my mind. this is a whole 70ish person symphony with about 55ish strings players (not sure exact numbers tbh, but its around there) and full wind, brass and percussion. I hvaent done this before bruhhh what is going on. im used to chamber orchestras and trios and quartets and quintets.

its like I was super bored (no offense to П), but now I have J and will be in over my head? its gonna be great I know, im gonna be amazing and everything will be okay in the end but OHn MY fUCKING GOD

oh also I have to re-audition each year so like what in the fuck what if she hates me and then kicks me out :((( but why would she do that because she needs violists and also has never once kicked someone from symphony or her chamber orchestra, only the beginner ones. im not sure?

anyways im freaking out a little bit but i'll be able to manage? but J does some crazy shit man what the fuck. BUT ALSO IM SO EXCITED?? LIKE?!!?!?! PLAYING UNARRANGED RIMSKY-KORSAKOV AND SHOSTAKOVICH?!?! THATS SOSOSO EXCITING!! and then she'll find hella cool arrangements of modern songs from the 50s-present and they are all so cool idk she's so cool.

but ALSO??? HELP? and im gonna be stuck with a girl that Ive known since I was 10 but idk really well, but she was in П's orchestra and goes to Б for lessons and is going to the same substitute teacher while Б is gone. ILL BE STUCK WITHE HER FOR ANOTHER 3ISH YEARS. and ofc she's very sweet but to everyone but me. idk what I did but she's super passive aggressive to me. it could be because we dont know each other super well? but im not sure. oh also I, this girl I know, and this silly cellist I also know, are I think the youngest three people in the whole symphony and we are collectively going insane but also exited.

anyways yeah thats all for now. I think I can ask J a few questions between the next 2 thursdays when she has orch events before school starts. hope you enjoyed my ramblings of symphony things and worries !

aww i was friends with a ton of voice majors!! and musical theatre ones. yall do so much shit.

yes, exactly!! being a music major can be fun sometimes, but it’s also definitely not as easy as many people may think. it involves so much more than just singing or playing an instrument. many people don’t realize how much work we actually do and how many other areas of music there are to study. it’s not just all about performing. there’s also musicianship, harmony, theory, history, culture, technology, conducting, composition, and others. it takes a lot of time and effort to practice and to learn these things and to develop these skills, just as much time and effort as any other major. i’ve cried over getting low grades, gotten frustrated with my classmates when they wouldn’t cooperate on group projects, gotten frustrated while programming my music computing projects and assignments, stayed up late writing research papers and composing pieces (many of which i’m not even proud of, to be completely honest, but i gotta get them done and meet deadlines, right?), stayed up late studying for exams, dealt with harsh criticism from some of my professors, and a lot more, just like almost anyone else would. but i always pick myself back up and keep going (again, just like almost anyone else would). so why are music majors (or honestly anyone who is majoring in something related to the arts) looked down upon? we work really hard, and we’re smart and talented and skillful too, but just in a different way! that’s not bad or wrong, is it?

ultimately, i’m pursuing something that i’m passionate about and that i genuinely enjoy. i’m happy to be doing what i love. i hope to live to see the day when we’re viewed as being equal to everyone else.

Fundy in Orch

- Fundy was a child when he fell through a portal to Orch and doesn’t realize he’s from another dimension 

- He’s semi-holographic with only an endoskeleton being physical. Sort of hard light situation, like touching him is part way between a gas and a solid, sort of glitchy. 

- Thats how he can look like a fox! With some effort and practice (like drawing) he can change his form. 

- Sam helps repair his body with redstone and everyone just assumes he’s sone kind of strange damaged cyborg As robotics aren’t strange in Orch.

- He’s got a different kind of body than Tubbo because of it. Aside from just being different builds (Tubbo is a solid robot) but after so many years of being worked on by Sam he’s no longer made up of the same sci fi material. Simpler metals and such. He’s got more dull dusty red glows and not the bright blue signature to Ywuscore.

- Nobody talks about it much but everyone agrees Fundy was probably created and treated unethically. As far as Sam knows he’s someone they rescued after he ran away from some maniac in Orch. 

- (He wasn’t, the portal just screwed him up because unstable) also he doesn’t really care where he came from. He knows they’ve got a worry about him but now they’re all grown up and doing good he shrugs it off. 

- Protective friend group? yes. Especially Ponk. 

- He remembers Ywuscore but not in detail and overtime has morphed them into just “somewhere else I used to be.”

- mmmmm Hannah sister figure to everyone.

Tubbo in Orch

- Tubbo and Tommy ending up visiting Orch?

- TUBBO SEES BEES!!! charlie slimecicle reaction ensues. Tommy gets Phil to make some bees in Sleepy.

- idk if Fundy ever fully realizes where he’s from, agt least not blatantly stated in story. He’s different enough from Tubbo it’s not obvious but he finds a kinship in friendship him :) 

-  I imagine a scene where Azure (or alex?) something something Karl is explaining it he’s there for plot exposition and he just makes a face and goes “wait, so- it’s- ...mom?” and there’s a nearly audible record scratch as everyone, even almost azure, is like “dude. what.”

Oh yeah here’s some karl lore

- (Karl can portal, he’s like skipping the shell altogether. Only people who are willing can enter his portals if someone is consciously not thinking about entering they won’t. Also, obviously, he needs to want them to. If he wants to drag someone through forcefully it’s a throw of wills with him at a disadvantage.)

Tubbo and Tommy in Prowa

- Since Travelers have to phase through it’s harder the more solid the world. 

- Tommy is stuck for a while while he recharges enough to exit but first he wants to find Wilbur so he can brag how he made it into Prowa.

- Tubbo gets hurt somehow (maybe electrocuted?) and gets hyper because robot  

- They go to the Casino where Wilbur talked about cleaning out some people (he screws over Charlie a lot for funsies. They’ve got a card rivalry)

- Anyway they make their way to Virido Chip which is closed and, having little to no social care and whatever they did have being either drained or overpowered, they just break in. Tubbo breaks the door in so it’s still closes but the lock is gone and handel is broken.

-Tubbo’s strong btw

- Schlatt is there (it’s after hours) and being used to being attacked goes full defense mode and sneaks up front, gun pulled, only to find two weird looking kids just shuffling around. 

- He’s thrown off enough to let his guard down in this moment of “wtf”

- Anway Schlatt has to babysit a glowy blue and (racoon? avian?) teenangers. One of whom is tired and grumpy and the other is very cheerful and hyper. WHile trying desperately to get a hold of Quackity because there’s no way this isn’t his weird boyfriends chart.

- He calls Charlie. Imagine this full grown bouncer ram man struggling to work a 1920s phone as Tubbo runs around looking at all the cool new stuff, tryong to stop him from grabbing the phone out of his hands, also while a very tired Tommy swears at him from the ground.

-Charlie shows up to help after not really understanding the explanation and Tubbo get to talk about the BEST creatures from other dimensions (Slimes and Bees)

- Charlie also figures out where Wilbur is, cleaning out some other Casino since Virido was closed.

- Quackity comes back from a date to either A) a surprisingly wholesome scene where they’re all laying on the floor playing dominoes, Tommy having gained some energy and Tubbo having spent some, or B) 

(i think I like A better although it was like B at some point definitely)

Wilbur in SaiSai

- wants to see what all the fuss is about after talking to the fiancees about it so tags along

- Isn’t with them at first, just goes on his own

- Takes the form of a merfolk at first because water world. Swims around for a while, then meets a ship and has a bit of a conversation with the crew and wants to come on board. 

-They’re like “uh, no? Even if yes, how? You don’t even have legs.” and he laughs darkly (because he likes screwing with people) and turns into smoke? bird? flies up onto the ship and lands, taking on his ordinary form. 

- His mysterious stranger moment (tm) however gets cut short by Pufft deking him over the side with either her fists or a mop or if she’s got her horns she head butts him off? 

- “NO MORE! No more fucking omens on my fucking ships! I’m sick of it!”

- Jack: “Puffy, this is my ship.” 

- something something she ends up saying “Karl, Quackity, and Sapnap are an exception because they’re very polite.”
