Cheesy Potato Casserole from Ore-Ida It's so simple to make this creamy comfort food staple, a potato casserole topped with lots of shreddable hash browns.

#OreIda #OreIdaGoldenCrinkleCutFriesFrenchFriedPotatoes #FrozenFriesReview
I tried the Ore-Ida Crinkle Cut Fries French Fried Potatoes and these were okay.
These were convection ovened and later microwaved.
These were firm and crunchy on the outside while soft on the inside in texture.
These had a light salt seasoned taste that went with the potato taste.
These fries had a nice natural potatoes taste and was lightly salty.
These fries tasted high quality than the Meijer store brand ones.
I would eat these again with sauces.
I still like the Kroger seasoned ones.
Got at Kroger.

Bagel Bites and mashed potatoes. I normally dip my mashed potatoes in ketchup, but I didn't want to risk getting it on the Bagel Bites. You know how ketchup can be.

Ore ida just crack an egg

#Ore ida just crack an egg crack#
Not very healthy, perhaps but mmmmmm good. We make it more creamy by adding 1 tbs of cream and 1 pat of butter. The potatoes don't get soft enough when they get cooked. Bought 2 - may eat the 2nd, but not rushing. It took me 2 minutes to just get the little packets open and read the instructions.
#Ore ida just crack an egg tv#
This is the most misleading TV advert I have ever seen. The sausage one was possibly the worst breakfast product I've ever tried! Threw it away after two bites & won't even try the bacon one I bought! NASTY!Īnother American rip off! A cheese glob, not filling and surely not appealing. Quick and tasty! Those writing bad reviews aren't fixing them right or just like to complain! I like them a lot! I add a Tablespoon of corn salsa and a dash of hot sauce. For taste, I recommend that you give the Denver Scramble kit a try, but maybe skip the All American.
#Ore ida just crack an egg crack#
For ease of preparation, Just Crack An Egg cups are terrific. Overall, I left the breakfast table feeling mostly satisfied. The All American Scramble could really benefit from some additional flavor to help the other ingredients pop. I really missed the veggies from the previous scramble. The bacon tasted okay but was occasionally chewy and tough. But it suffers from the same raw tasting potato problem. The All American Scramble wasn't nearly as good. The green pepper and onion did their job to add a little fresh pizzazz to each bite. The potatoes were a little more raw tasting than I'd prefer, but that wasn't a deal breaker. The ratio of ingredients seemed just right. Still, people with big appetites might want to have 2 Just Crack An Egg cups. The size of each serving was larger than I expected. Total cooking time is just over a minute. You crack an egg into the cup and then empty the pouches into the cup. You open the cup and remove small plastic pouches containing ingredients. Of the two, I very much preferred the Denver Scramble.īoth scramble kits are easy to prepare. I tried 2 varieties of Just Crack An Egg scramble kits: the Denver Scramble and the All American scramble.

The other bag of candy we have for tomorrow isn't large. It's all the same item too. So I bought another package, to have a mixture to hand out.
As soon as I opened the bag (to put the little bars in a container) that Halloween smell hit me. Assorted chocolate bars.
It reminded me of being a kid, wearing a super cheap plastic Frankenstein's monster mask held on with a thin band of elastic. I carried a pillow case because it held more loot and wouldn't break open like plastic bags. I'd also be sniffling behind that mask because it was cold outside. Good times :)
The scent also reminded me of something three decades later: Looking through candy my sons had amassed on Halloween night and collecting the daddy tax. I usually took some Smarties and Twizzlers.
Holy cow, that candy I bought--like everything else--is a lot more expensive that it was a few years ago.
While at the store I also got a side for dinner. Ore Ida Tater Tots (yum!) are now $5.99. Not long ago they were $3.99 and sometimes on sale for $3.49. I fondly remember one big sale where they were $2.99. Oh those were the days.
Instead I went with the store brand and save two bucks.
We might get some measurable snow tonight. It won't last long, but I'm getting excited for winter. I did more yard work and mulched leaves. When I was done I was sweaty, dusty, and hungry.
Those store brand tater tots paired nicely with a pub burger I grilled outside.

Grandpa's feat of alchemy
I was planning a fish fry one recent day, but when I went to the freezer for some frozen Ore Idas, the cupboard, so to speak, was bare.
Then I remembered some advice my older son gave me when he was about 5. He had spent the weekend with my parents and the first astonished words that came out of his mount when I retrieved him were:
"Grandpa knows how to make french fries out of regular potatoes. We should do that."
The kid was astonished by Grandpa's feat of alchemy, but let's face it, when your household includes four kids and two full-time jobs, you tend to go frozen on things like french fries.
But with no Ore Idas for that recent fish fry and a little time on my hands, I peeled, sliced, poured three fingers of cooking oil into a Dutch oven and turned on the heat ... As you can see from the photo, french fries emerged.
My advice: Make sure you keep the oil hot enough (325 degrees with the recipe I used) and fry them twice.
