Have you ever left your front door unlocked all night? It's probably happened at some point.

Do you prefer cold or warm weather? Pleasantly warm weather is fine, but I do tend to prefer the cold.

The last advertisement you saw: What was it advertising? I think it was for car insurance or something like that. I just skipped past it without really paying much attention.

Do you prefer bar or liquid soap? Liquid. It seems more sanitary.

Do you wear any perfumes / colognes on a regular basis? I don't. Strong smells often trigger my migraines…along with pretty much everything else about being alive.

Do you have high or low self esteem levels? My self-esteem levels are somewhere in the middle these days. Not despairingly low, but not yet healthily high either. I think it also depends on the situation - sometimes I'm more confident in my abilities, more comfortable with the company, etc; but other times I feel out of my element.

When was the last time you listened to a song on repeat? What was the song? I haven't been listening to any single song on repeat, but I have been listening to the Precession album by Fifty Dollar Dynasty lately.

How do you feel about being in the house alone? It's peaceful, but there does come a point when a sense of dreamy unreality sets in and I would prefer to have the company of my dad.

What was the last compliment you received? I suppose this counts as a compliment… I was getting ready to leave the animal shelter earlier and Alex was like, "thank you so much, I don't know what I would have done if you weren't here." Lucy was scheduled to work today, but she didn't show up. She didn't show up yesterday either. Last Sunday, after I left, I guess Lucy was asking Cassie, "how mad do you think they'd be if I just walked out?" because she wasn't feeling well. Ofc Cassie was like, "wtf, don't you dare, today is my half day and they'll make me stay if you leave." Far be it from me to judge how someone's feeling (if you're sick, you're sick; I'm not going to play the comparison game), but there was also this ~vibe~ about it, like she was just kind of over it. Couple that with her not being there this weekend and…idk whether she's sticking around or not.

Anyway, all that meant Alex had to come in on one of her days off, and things are just kind of a mess lately, and…ugh. I feel for her. She's such a hard worker, always on top of everything, super reliable…so ofc she's the one they're going to call, and ofc she's going to show up. However, she did say that everyone she's talked to wouldn't blame her if she quit, so…I guess it's just a question of when her work ethic + sense of duty + personal pride are surpassed by how done she is with the whole situation. It's part of the reason Amy quit a few weeks back. Orlyn was injured and out for a while and ultimately decided not to come back, so they increased Amy's days/hours to make up for it. I think it was originally supposed to be temporary, but they seemingly forgot about that and let it drag on until Amy spoke up about being burned out (which made them mad?!). Eventually, she got fed up and left. They've just been super short staffed lately, among other things, and it's slowly taking its toll on people. Oh yeah, and Diane is going to be gone for a few days around the end of the month and it's just like...wtf are they gonna dooo...???

Do you like mint or orange flavored chocolate? I like both.

How often do you get spots? Like, pimples? It goes in cycles. My face will clear up, then get really bad, then clear up again…I'm starting to think it might be hormonal.

Do you believe that when your ears burn someone is talking about you? I've never had that experience before, but no, I don't believe that's a thing.

Are you a good host when visitors come over or do you wish they’d leave? We don't really have people over; but when I'm out with others, there's definitely this pull to get back home.

When was the last time you burnt your mouth from eating something too hot? This morning. I was rushing to eat my oatmeal. It was just a slight burn, though, nothing serious. Not like that time I caused a huge burn-bubble to form on the roof of my mouth. D;

What is your favorite foreign language to listen to? (In music or speech) Maybe Japanese for speech and Swedish/Icelandic for music.

Do you prefer instrumental songs or ones with lyrics? I like both.

What was the last book you read about? It's the third book in the Dune series. I feel like I would have to explain the plots from the first two books in order for it to make sense, but I'm just too lazy.

What does your voice sound like? (Loud, quiet, high pitched, etc) It depends on who I'm talking to, but my "normal" voice is medium-pitched and can be somewhat loud, especially if I'm excited or passionate about something.

8. How did your first meeting with Strahd go?

Strahd showed up to introduce himself after we cleared out the Old Bonegrinder windmill. He, uh, coaxed some of us to attack him, which lead to a combat where we learned just how out of our league he was. Later the DM told us that his intention was to kill Ismark in this encounter, but luckily Orlyn had the idea to pretend to take Ireena hostage, and force Strahd to leave everyone alive.

Strahd paid him back for that eventually, though.

✨ A lot of people are surprised to learn that Emma is really not shy at all.  She’s quiet and introverted, for sure, but growing up her dads kept her from locking herself inside her own head completely by assuring her she could talk to them about absolutely anything on her mind, and encouraging her - a person who to this day does not have the slightest clue what being embarrassed is or why she should be - to do so often.  Now, if she has something to say, she will say it, without hesitation, to whomever it needs said, and more often than not people are just...not ready for it.

✨ Lux loves the idea of using aliases, but is terrible at coming up with them on his own.  Usually his efforts stop at changing a few letters in his name followed by the first thing nearby to catch his eye. Some examples: Rux Barstool, Lex Tankard, Hux Table, Bux Streetcat, and Tex Fountain.  He LOVES his Inquisition agent alias, Piper, and is in awe of Tulio’s prowess for conjuring himself a new name out of thin air.

✨ Rexus is happy to travel anywhere outside of Minrathous, with the glaring exception of his mother’s hometown of Qarinus, which is just...insufferably boring.  At least, he says it’s boring, but what he means is unless he brings someone with him for that purpose, staying overnight in Qarinus means he’ll be sleeping alone.  Because there’s a good chance that if he tries to proposition someone, it’ll turn out they’re his cousin.  Well, there’s a good chance he’ll proposition a distant relative practically anywhere in Tevinter, but we’re not talking distant cousin any number of times removed here.  We’re talking a whole child of one of his mother’s siblings.  His mother’s eleven siblings.  House Callas, his mother’s family, is notorious for being quite amorous (it’s really no wonder where he gets it) and consequently having a LOT of children.  Between his maternal aunts and uncles, Rexus has somewhere between 50 and 60 legitimate first cousins, and who knows how many illegitimate ones.  He only really knows a few of them, though, a couple of each of his three living uncles’ children.  The useful ones, you know, who he might be able to poke for a favor at some point while leveraging the fact that his mother is their father’s favorite sister.   

✨ Tasalin Lavellan and Nicky Hawke both subscribe heavily to the idea that people don’t necessarily need to like them in order for them to do their jobs, but in different ways. Tas knows some of his decisions are going to be unpopular but they need to be made regardless, and he will put a ton of effort into explaining himself so he will at least be understood, if not agreed with, because whether or not it’s necessary he still very much a) wants people to like him, and b) hates to be told he’s wrong. Nicky, on the other hand, says this as a warning.  He will do his job, and well, but he knows you will not like him.  Doubt him on that all you want, but you won’t. And he will not give a single shit.

✨ After his self-imposed exile from Orlais, Remy struggled to get established as a trader and worked secretly as a smuggler until he was able to save enough money to go legit and open an apothecary for his husband.  The experience came in handy later, when he decided a great way to surprise Eynon would be to smuggle his father, Orlyn, who they’d been unable to bring with them when they left and whose fate was a cause of great anxiety to his son for years, to live out the rest of his days in the empty house next door in Starkhaven.  Even though he was moved to tears that Remy would go to such trouble to do this for him, Eynon had to laugh; clearly, his anxiety about what had become of his father led Remy to believe the old man was in far worse health than he actually was and had thus vastly underestimated the longevity of a skilled alchemist and apothecary.  Emma was six years old when Baba Orly came to live next door, and as of the Inquisition’s disbanding in 9:44 she was still taking him bread and tonics every morning despite his protests that he doesn’t need handouts and can make his own, even work the fields for the grain itself, since he’s always had to fight for his meals.  When she and Eynon tell him to go right ahead and do that, then, his response is, of course, that he doesn’t need to prove he’s right.

Ezerkilencszáznyolcvanhétben

amolyan kis pöcsösként mintegy 13 évesen a szüleim felraktak egy Malév-gépre, és kettő páratlan és csodálatos hetet tölthettem a francia fővárosban. Sok érdekes, új dologgal ismerkedtem meg apám kint élő barátjának köszönhetően, például a Nutellás kenyérrel reggelire, a Sacre Ceur-rel, a kőmosott farmer fogalmával, a kuszkusszal, Pierre Richarddal videón, a Toulouse-Lotrec-ekkel élőben a D'Orsay-ben, amikről korábban mind nem tudtam. Egyszer elvittek egy egzotikus amerikai étterembe is, ahol az étel mellé, ami különös módon fura kis papírdobozban érkezett, vicces műanyag játékot is kapott a betérő vendég. Reggelenkènt érdekes, sárga gyümölcsöt tettek az asztalra, banán, mondták, látásból már ismertem, és azt is mondták, hogy ebből ott rengeteget lehet enni. Aztán mikor kifogyott, elvittek egy külvárosi piacra, és mondták, hogy ott majd látok fekete embereket, ne ijedjek meg. Azt is mondták, hogy a fekete emberek mindig nagyon közel àllnak egymáshoz, meg akár hozzánk is, és ez azért van, mert ők az őserdőben azt szokták meg, hogy közel kell állniuk egymáshoz, mert akkor nem támadja meg és marcangolja szét őket a párduc. Rengeteg banánt vettünk ezektől a félelmetes, villogó tekintetű fekete emberektől, aztán hazapucoltunk a Neuilly-negyedbe, ahol nem voltak fekete emberek. Összegyűjtött zsebpénzemből Moulinex elektromos kést vásároltam a szüleimnek egy elképzelhetetlenül gazdag árukészletet kínáló Auchan nevű áruházban. A vendéglátóim elmesélték, hogy itt az emberek műanyag palackokba töltött vizet visznek haza inni, miközben a csapvíz is iható, és én még évekig meséltem a barátaimnak az esztelen luxus e tobzódàsát, persze senki nem hitte el. Hazatérőben az Orlyn majdnem egy afgán gépre szàlltam fel a sok csodától elkábulván, de egy Malévos csaj helyemre irányított. Fülemen egy új csoda, a Sony Walkman fülhallgatója feszült, belőle a Queen együttes It's a kind of magic című albuma szólt, amit vendéglátóm hanglemezről rögzített nekem egy kis Maxwell kazettára. Hazafele a repûlőúton a pilóta kedvesen beinvitált a fülkébe, ahol kis első utasként a navigátor mellől nézhettem meg, ahogy elszállunk a Balaton felett, 15 perc és leszállunk Pesten, mondta a pilóta, èn pedig hitetlenkedve kaptam a szám elé a kezem, hiszen Siófok autóval 3 óra volt.

Nehés sorsom volt a suliban, sokat gyötörtek, mert mindig nagyon szegények voltunk, és a szûleim pedagógusok voltak, és kopaszra nyírták a hajamat, mert majd attól sűrűbben nő, és a nagyapám egy számmal kisebb népitáncos csizmáját hordtam télen, mert nem volt pénz rendes csizmára. Szóval volt rajtam fogás sok helyen. De mikor ezerkilencszàznyolcvanhétben èn bemasíroztam oda az óbudai kőbunkók közé az L.A. Gear cipőmben, a kőmosott farmeremben, a Sony Walkmanemmel és mondtam, hogy fekete emberektől vettünk banánt, na akkor megfordult a sorsom. Hát, köszönöm János, apukám barátja, akárhol is vagy most. Egyébként meg: utazzatok, az tágítja a perspektívát. Persze nem most.
