🐑 - What scenario are you currently thinking about before bed?

Ooh, this is a fun question 👁️👁️ If I'm being completely honest, I've been thinking about Vincent coming down w something worse than a cold + Yves paying him a house visit. But what I should be thinking about is the company picnic fic sitting open in my tabs 🏃‍♀️

👤 - Describe your current favorite character (including OCs)

OC - is it a cop-out to say I can't pick a favorite btwn Vincent and Yves? 😭 omg. I'll flip a coin. To answer this question a little differently, I think I have the most fun writing Vincent's dialogue (esp when he's being more blunt/straightforward).

That said, I am grateful for how forthcoming Yves is in his narration, and I like how he wears his heart on his sleeve. I think if I were to write the entire series from Vincent's perspective instead, I would have a much harder time :')

Non-OC - Koko/mi from Gen/shin has my heart forever (love a pretty, well-spoken girl who is also a brilliant military strategist) 😭😭 I esp love her dynamic with Sar/a. But out of media I've consumed more recently, I like Kur/osaw/a from Cher/ry Ma/gic (characters who are revered by the public but are terribly human underneath are so 💕😭).

What work was the quickest to write?

Uh any of the Halloween trick-or-treat flash drabbles I did. I think the fastest of those was the one for @sallertiacallidus, because I knew EXACTLY where to hit for a KO and went for it.

What WIP are you taking into next year with you?

I am attempting to drag of Sages and Warriors with me, along with my other corpses (Guardian, Do Something Crazy), though at the moment, I have general Na Daoine Maithe thoughts that act as a cohesive WIP in my head at all times, so that's coming with me too.

What do you listen to while writing?

So. I am insane. And build playlists for each work. Sometimes, multiple of them, depending on the project.

Like, for oSaW, I have character playlists I specifically listen to when writing for a specific perspective (Felicette and Mars, respectively, though I have an oSaW Chloe playlist specifically to remember how I'm characterizing her). But you'll notice leaks of other character influences on both playlists.

Felicette has two notable songs that reflect her relationships with Nino (Shed No Grace on Me by JT Music and Moonlight Blue by Miracle of Sound), Gabriel (What Have You Become by MNQN), Mars (MANY but Suit & Tie by Justin Timberlake and Holding Out for a Hero by Nothing but Thieves are the two key ones. The latter is reflected on Mars's playlist with Holding Out for a Hero by Aviators; same song, two different deliveries, tones, instruments, and vocals), and Alya (King by Amazing Devil).

Mars's playlist is subtle because you can't pick out specific songs for his relationships with others (outside of Felicette; that's how much she really lives in his head rent-free), but there are some songs that make you look at his interactions with others and hum LOUDLY.

I grew up on musicals, songs are shorthand memory devices for me, I'll remember fully planned out scenes by song.

Which is why Shed No Grace On Me was my #1 Spotify song this year, because Bravura gave me shit when I wrote it (there's a whole like. A segment of Bravura that just focuses on the first 2 seconds of the song. It's supposed to be hellish to be stuck in that part, to be unable to finish the song. I lived that hell with Nino).

Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?
