WELCOME TO THE STRANGER THINGS CHALLENGE!

Yeah, it’s me again, don’t cream your pants. So partly in honor of the premiere of Stranger Things Part 4 Vol. 2 but mostly in spite of Gas Toe, I’ve decided to present you with a Stranger Things OC Challenge! This challenge will go on from July 1st to July 7th. Special thanks to @richitozier for some help! Now, eggo to our Challenge Voyage, right after I present you with the paddles to do so;

Day One: The Latest Passenger To Join Us On Our Curiosity Voyage (July 1st)

A new season of Stranger Things means only one thing... new Stranger Things ocs. Or well, for those of us who aren’t making any super new ones, just make something for the newest of your ocs.

Day Two: Joy Division, Bowie, Television, The Smiths... (July 2nd)

For day two we’re looking back on all those classic old songs our parents used to listen to, and making something to a song off the Stranger Things soundtrack!

Day Three: Who’s Who At Hawkins High? (July 3rd)

Okay, so this one is a little bit of self-promotion and also just me looking for something I want to see content-wise... But for today, we make a Yearbook edit for our Teen Crew ocs! Find a psd template I made HERE.

Day Four: Who’s Who At Hawkins Middle? (July 4th)

Yep, another shameless self-promotion... Today we make a Yearbook edit for our Kid Crew ocs! Find a psd template I made HERE. Btw these two are inspired by this book. 

Day Five: You’re Beautiful, Nancy Wheeler (July 5th)

Recreate or make a poster inspired by the official Stranger Things posters!

Day Six: Now Can We Play D&D? (July 6th)

Inspired by the likes of Will Byers and the iconic Hellfire Club, make something for your oc using D&D as inspiration! A character sheet? Their class traits? Whatever you’d like!

Day Seven: And Get Him To Swap Our Places (July 7th)

What would happen if Eleven “died” at the end of season one instead of Brenner? Or if the bad men got to Eleven before Mike? What if Max died instead of Billy? Who knows for sure, but I bet there’s a bunch of canon x canon fics about it! 

That’s not what today is for, today is for our own role reversals. Have an oc who's never been to the Upside Down? What if they were dragged there! A superpowered kid who escaped the lab? What if they were just normal!

A 1980s Horror Film (STCW: day five)

Danielle Henderson was a normal teenage girl dealing with normal teenage problems until she was thrown into a world of the strange and usual, unknown territory, and Demogorgons when her little brother Dustin and his friends found a girl named Eleven while searching for their missing friend, Will. 

Still recovering from the previous events that had taken place, Danielle, her brother, and a few others, including her long time crush-turned-friend Steve Harrington, live their lives normally until Will begins acting strange. With trouble on the rise, Danielle must prepare for another battle against the Upside Down where the supposed end was just the beginning . . .

ST OC CHALLENGE :: FREAKS & GEEKS SUPPORTING CAST ↳ day one, the latest passenger on our curiosity voyage

BEX KING: played by Kiana Madeira, Bex King is the newest member of Hawkins High alongside Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, Alicia, and newcomer Billy Hargrove. A political activist and member of the marching band, she often slacks off in school but manages to scrape by. A self-described freak, Bex finds herself pulled into the supernatural parts of Hawkins during the Summer of 1985, when a trip to the new Starcourt Mall ends up threatening to reveal a secret she’s been harboring since she was little.

SAMANTHA KING: played by Jenna Ortega, Samantha King is the younger sister of Bex King and is not happy with her father’s recent move to Hawkins. She’s even less happy with the fact that the Middle School doesn’t allow electric guitars in the band, which means the only pastime she somewhat enjoys is tormenting the four nerds that ride their bikes everywhere they go. Until her first Halloween at Hawkins ends up throwing her headfirst into a world of monsters and government conspiracy, straight out of ET.

CHARLIE BRENNER: A mysterious figure from Eleven’s past, Dylan O’Brien plays the only son of Dr. Martin Brenner. Charlie--it turns out--is like Eleven in a lot of different ways, and is one of the only figures at the lab who cared about her well-being. Back in society after spending the last four years on the outskirts, he’s having some difficulty adjusting to the new rules and blasé nature of the teens he hangs out with. His only solace is in the fact that his friend Alicia seems just as uneasy as he does with the sudden drop in activity, at least until Halloween of 1984.

MARCUS KING: played by Pedro Pascal, Marcus King is the patriarch of the King family. A former cop turned mechanic and single father of two girls, he made the decision to move to Hawkins, Indiana after a vicious custody battle with his ex-wife for some peace and quiet. But he’s not even there for a few months when he starts to notice things that don’t add up. The Police Chief meeting with government officials too high up to care about a place as small as this and the unusual circumstances regarding the disappearances of Alicia Henderson, Will Byers, and Jane Ives. Something strange is afoot in Hawkins, and he’s determined to find out what it is.

MJ x Eddie - ‘Can’t Fight This Feeling’

“Eddie? Eddie?” Her voice is soft, insistent and when he opens his eyes it is to see her hovering over him, hand curved gently against his cheek and her eyes are wide and worried. 

Sunlight streams in from behind her, casting MJ in a golden light and for one delirious moment he thinks she must be an angel.

“I’m okay,” he tells her, attempting to sit up. She shifts back just slightly, resting her forehead against his. “I’m okay, Princess.” 

She nods slightly, sucking in a deep breath, and Eddie is startled to realize that her lashes are damp with tears. 

“Hey,” he says gently, reaching up to caress her cheek now. “You weren’t crying over me, were you Princess?”

She laughs lightly, ducking her head. “Shut up,” she tells him. “I was worried. I thought-” She stops, shaking her head before raising her gaze to meet his once more. “You’re okay,” she repeats, before offering him a smile. Eddie is sure that he’s never seen anything so beautiful in his entire life. 

“I’m okay,” he echoes, and then he’s kissing her, and she’s kissing back and the rest of the world seems to fall away and all he wants to do is stay there with her, just like this, breathing her in. 

He loves her. The realization hits him with a start. And somehow, by some divine intervention, he thinks she might love him too.

America “Ricki” Munson is the younger half sister of Edward “Eddie” Munson and niece of Wayne Munson. She’s a good friend of Danielle Henderson’s and a very close friend to Robin Buckley. 

A HUGE fan of DND, she and her older brother Eddie created Hellfire Club and through Danielle, they enlisted Dustin, Mike, and Lucas into their club. Her character is named Olma Starag who’s a Chaotic Good Oath of Vengeance Damaran Paladin with persuasion and intimidation skills, wisdom and charisma, and a love for pound cake. 

She gets a job at the Starcourt Mall Movie Theater, working with Danielle Henderson and gossiping all about their high school peers and their favorite movie characters. When their shift is dying down for the night, or whenever they’re on lunch, they make sure to visit Scoops Ahoy where Robin and Steve work and just hang out for fun. 

When the fun quickly turns into a entire dire situation of cracking a secret Russian code, the Butter Batters and Scoops Troop band together with Dustin and Erica to figure out what the soviet union is doing and why it involves their newly built mall Starcourt.

ST OC CHALLENGE :: ALICIA’S CHARACTER SHEET ↳ day six, now can we play dnd?

“Holy shit, my older sister’s a real life ranger.” Dustin’s eyes grew wide at the machete in her hand, blood splattered across her face, like it was something to be proud of.

Alicia panted, creasing her brows at the awed expression crossing the party’s faces. Thankfully Steve looked just as confused as she did, “This isn’t some nerd shit, Dusty,” The words came out harsher than she intended but still the expression of awe remained, “This is real life.”

“I wonder what her stats are,” Lucas spoke up next, the kids somehow not even processing her words at all. Alicia rolled her eyes and moved further through the tunnels.
