I Found Violet's VC...

Well, both of them actually, because her speaking and singing voice are by different individuals. I honestly want to say her voice claim is me (because she’s my self insert, but I know I don’t sound like anyone except myself so that really limits choices), but I feel like these voices also suit her, so without further ado…

Violet’s voice claim for speaking is Hynden Walch (yeah the one who voiced Starfire and Princess Bubblegum).

Violet’s voice claim for singing is Lee Ann Womack.

But the kicker here is that it’s a very specific flavor of both voice talents…she sounds like Becky Thatcher from the 2000 animated version of Tom Sawyer (in the top ten of my most favorite movies, it is fantastic, well to me it is 😂). She’s a southern girl, so she definitely has the sweet, southern accent. Below you can find an example of how she sounds, aka…she sounds adorable!

Totally understandable that you'd feel a little nervous still about kicking Ophelia out there for folks, considering how this community has historically treated female muses (and powerful or dangerous ones, at that), but I would be shocked—SHOCKED!—if there were anyone who didn't find the violet little lady instantly charming.

You are my COMRADE on the dash as another high-concept sci-fi world-writer with a whole storyline filled with intrigue and shady organisations behind your muses. Your OCs are vibrant and intriguing, and you always hit a great tonal balance between them being adorkable, comic relief goofballs while being equally tragic characters in their own right. I hope you pick up what I'm putting down when I say "big serialised saturday morning cartoon vibes".

I could read you talking about Doc and Ophelia and their world and adjacent NPCs all day, the enthusiasm and care for your creation really shine and it's!! Just really refreshing and inspiring, honestly!! Top tier stuff.

Ophelia being charming is !!! my biggest goal tbh !!! maybe annoying and grating for some characters (we love character conflicts in this house), but charming for the reader. It’s a thin line to keep a mischievously silly character from teetering off the edge to being a narrative nuisance. Then you add the big scary female label on top of that, even more of a gamble (thankfully I've never ran into any direct nasties so far)

I am ECSTATIC about "big serialised saturday morning cartoon vibes" BECAUSE NGL!!! Those are my biggest inspirations with these characters and story on this blog!

My favorite shows & stories to this day are those episodic ones that start off either light hearted/goofy or very much a ‘monster/doo-hickey/situation of the week’ type of episodes (x.iaolin showdown was huge for me growing up) but they layer in heavier plots with more intense themes as time goes on, yet never stray too far away from those sweet jovial moments that help break up the narrative and give the audience some relief from the tension.

It’s been so much fun working on this blog, so much is still a work in progress but being surrounded by like-minded, creative peeps really gets the inspiration-juices flowing. Plus, it’s nice to share our worlds and works together :””) 

Sure sure, create for yourself (something i do vehemently agree and vouch for)— but it’s nice to have those to share it with, even if it's just one other person. I dont believe any of my characters on here would be half as interesting or developed without this blog and everyone I interact with.

Im trying to do one of those iterator ask blogs, do you have any tips? Especially for getting it off the ground? Since I’m just kinda stumped about how to be interesting and reel people in, as I supposed to post at certain times? And what kind of things should I post if I haven’t gotten any questions. I’m sorry if these are kind of odd questions lol. And a lot in advance! :)

i swear i replied to an ask with askblog tips before but i cant find itttttttttt Falls to the ground. so i’ll just answer this as it is then (i managed to ramble for a bit so i put it under the cut)

umm. i wouldn’t say i exactly. have advice. for getting your blog off the ground. Because if you ask me how my own askblog got so much attention i would say I dont know . the only reason i even started it was because someone in the tags said i should and the concept of an askblog was appealing to me So i did that. and if you go to the very beginning of the blog you will see that most of the asks are just from my friends asking either silly or serious stuff. so i guess on that front my word of advice is just …. go to your friends. and be like Dude you will never believe what just happened to me (made an askblog) and let them get interested in it. just the same circle of friends can circulate the askblog long enough to attract new people. probably ?

i mean i guess the thing i also did was reblog the intro post to my main. once. and then never again. i reblogged asks sometimes if i liked them or if they were funny but i mostly kept my main blog stuff and askblog stuff separate (i suppose i did at that point have mostly rain world fans as my following so me reblogging it to my main maybe made them interested) you absolutely do not need to post at certain times. i mean…. you Can get a schedule if you wanttt. but like it’s literally fine i just answer asks whenever and ball

another thing about asks is that. Asks Produce Asks. so to speak. because everytime you answer an ask you get at least 3 more for it. so as long as you keep answering asks you’ll keep getting asks, though sometimes people will also send you stuff even if you havent answered in a month or something. But yeah i guess what im trying to say for this uhh …. if you don’t get any asks at first either try and get your friends to ask some questions. or if not that then maybe ask yourself stuff ….??? i dont knowww but like i said when ppl see an answered asks they get motivated to send an ask of their own. so

umm if you havent gotten any questions in a while you can just post. whatever. it’s your askblog. you can lorepost or you can just post silly images relating to your iterator oc The world is your oyster man

some more general advice is to draw asks however you want. you don’t have to fully polish and color all of them, you can just color certain ones or hell never color any asks, you can even not draw at all because i know some people reply with just in-character text. either way i promise you at least Someone will be interested so. good luck ? i hope that helped at least a little bit

last thoughts of the night after a long day of discussing everything in every game i've ever played, but in the canon game timeline for KOTFE/ET...Eight never found his "answer" for understanding others by fighting for their ideals. in fact, it did the exact opposite. it didn't let others understand him, and he learned nothing about living while his doing so alienated others from him even more. this was the situation Keeper wanted to free him from-- the curse of being nothing but a weapon, but ironically, all it did was push him into being that very thing.

I get to rewrite the traitor arc to smooth things over between the Rishi trio a bit, but it's definitely a case of too little, too late. It's fortunate that Eight is somewhat proud of being a peerless weapon, because anyone else would've snapped in two from the being abandoned by everyone. He still chooses to fight for them, because without his purpose, his current reasons to believe in others and the faith that one day he'll find what he's looking for, he has no reason to live.
