Out of curiosity, who do you think is the better inventor between Aviva and Zach?

Hi, anon! Thank you for the ask! I apologize for the wait in getting to it!

This, anon, is a very hard question for me to answer. Zach is my love and my life, and Aviva is his greatest enemy and rival! But! I’ll pray Zach hasn’t charged the Zachbots and answer honestly before he gets them to come after me if my answer isn’t to his liking….so, here goes nothing.

Deep breath….

Aviva is the better inventor!

There, I said it! *Looks around for angry Zachbots* No, he didn’t hear me yet…Good! I’ve got some time to give an explanation! (Below the cut because it’s a bit lengthy)

The primary reason I believe Aviva is the better inventor is because she creates inventions that are ethical. Her inventions are created with the health, safety, and well being of animals, plants, humans, and the environment in mind. She would never willingly or knowingly create an invention that would cause harm or destruction to the world and its living inhabitants.

This, sadly, is not the case for Zach. Zach’s inventions are created primarily for financial gain or to benefit himself and his lifestyle. He does not stop to think of what his actions may do to the greater world around him.

When using animals as the power sources for his inventions, he does not consider the physical and psychological strain that is being placed on them. When discarding his waste or wanting to create a location for his own enjoyment or financial gain, Zach does not evaluate harm that will come to the environments that are the homes to so many innocent creatures.

This is not to say that Zach is not a talented inventor. As we have seen throughout the series, he is. Zach has created inventions such as the Zachbots, the Disruptobots, his Invisibility Cloak, his Disrupto-beam, and his Mosquito-bots - None of which directly harm animals or the environment. But, the vast majority of his inventions are self-centered, harmful creations that only benefit him.

This is not the case at all with Aviva. She wants to make the world a better place through her inventions. Her goal is to help and improve the world around her with her inventions, not improve her own personal world. Which in my opinion makes her the better inventor.

Zach *screaming*: “JIG/Violet!!!!”

Do Y’all Ever Wonder What Happened to Zach’s Season 1 Trench Coat/ Winter Wear?

Because we went from this glorious masterpiece:

Which totally gives us Zach lovers life, am I right?

To this:

Which I’m not saying is bad, I still think he looks great in the new winter look, but we literally went from him having a handsome, billionaire playboy vibe to looking like a vampire in a marshmallow suit.

We can probably chalk it up to the animators using the winter wear in the pilot episode and reusing it a couple episodes later, then they scraped it in later seasons because the new look is honestly more “Zach,” meaning (in my opinion) it’s got the same quirky vibes we get from him.

And it’s much warmer, which seem fitting for him because he’s probably a cold natured person….I mean he wears a turtleneck sweater all the time…the man’s gotta have some temperature issues because of that, right?

Or, they knew how it affected the Zach lovers, so they thought it would be best to get a more “tame” winter look for him. Because they can’t have us drooling too much over the bad guy…

Or, and this is my favorite option…my OC/ self insert Violet stole it and started wearing it after Zach loaned it to her when she first started working for him, which canonically would have taken place around the Falcon City episode, well after the last appearance of the beloved trench coat.

But this is just me guessing, I may be wrong…if y’all have any other ideas as to why this change occurred, please let me know!

Zach’s Response: Thanks for drawing us looking hot together…ugh, Violet is glaring at me…thanks for drawing us looking AMAZING together, is that better, Vi? As Vi said, dancing is a big part of our relationship so that’s a great touch. I always like to have my hands on her waist while dancing…Violet! I’m not doing anything wrong, stop glaring at me! I was just going to say I like the intimacy of it! Okay? I also like that you drew Violet and I with coordinating outfits, Vi looks so good in my colors…. And, I love that you drew with her hair down, she looks stunning with her hair down…like a beautiful angel 😉.

My Self Shipping Anniversary With Zach Is Coming Up!!!!

I am excited to announce that Zach and I will be sharing our 3rd anniversary together next month! My anniversary with Zach is March 23rd or March 30th.

I am unsure which date, but I know I was subbing that day, so it had to be a Tuesday because of the Covid school schedule, and it was at the end of the month which narrows it to those days. I can figure it out for certain because I got my monthly friend that day, and I track my cycles in planners each year, but that is the only planner I can’t find 😡. Soooooo, I’m on the hunt for the official date, but if I am unsuccessful, I’m going to do a week long anniversary celebration from March 23rd to March 30th!

I will provide more details on how I plan to celebrate as we get closer to that/those dates! I’ll simply say that this will be the first anniversary that I’ve officially celebrated with Zach. Duringm the first anniversary I was dealing with the fallout from the relationship with my ex, and during the second anniversary I was trying to make things work again with the ex, so it took away from the joy those days should have brought me.

This is first anniversary where I can truly embrace the relationship I share with Zach through my self insert Violet, and for this I am so happy, emotional, excited, thankful, grateful, and blessed!

Date Night Ziolet Style

Zach *covering Violet’s eyes with his hands*: “So, I wanted to bring you somewhere special, and I know you love the ocean, and where you grew up, sooo…”

Violet *before Zach removed his hands*: “Aww, Zach, you didn’t have to…”

Violet *after Zach removed his hands*: “Uhhh Zach…this isn’t the ocean…”

Zach *flabergasted*: “What? Yes, it is! Look at all that water!”

Violet *nodding her head and furrowing her brows in confusion*: “Well, yes, there is a lot of water in it, but it’s not an ocean…you can’t see the the other side of the ocean usually, but this you can see the other side of this body of water…you know right over there with all the grass and trees…”

Zach *crossing his arms and huffing*: “Well, if it’s not an ocean what is it, smarty pants?”

Violet *patting his arm reassuringly*: “It’s a pond honey, the pond behind my dad’s cabin…”

Zach:

Zach: “I thought you lived at the ocean growing up…”

Violet: “Yes, dear, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina by the Atlantic Ocean…We’re in the mountains by a pond…we only visited here from time to time when I was a kid….”

Zach *shoulders slumping in defeat*: “Ohhhh…so we’re not at the ocean?”

Violet *giving him a sweet smile, a kiss on the cheek, and a shake of her head*: “We’re not at the ocean…but this was very sweet.”

So, Zach probably knows the difference between an ocean and a pond, but he’s so prone to getting mixed up on nature and animal related things that maybe…this isn’t out of the realm of possibility for him, lol.

What is Zach’s job after he becomes good? Does he still invent just not use animals?

Hello, thank you so much for this ask! I am sorry it took me forever to get to it, but I’ve been thinking on it for a while and considering how these questions play into the greater role of my Wild Violet AU. And, after the events of the Our Blue and Green World special, I feel it is the perfect time to address this!

The short answer to your question is exactly how you presented it: Zach does continue to invent after he forgoes a life of villainy, and he simply does not use animals as the power source anymore.

But, there is more to this part of Zach’s story in my AU: Namely, he not only continues to be an inventor, but he becomes a member of the Wild Kratts Team alongside his wife Violet. Specifically, Zach and Violet join forces with Aviva and the rest of the Wild Kratts gang to create and utilize inventions that will benefit the greater creature world around them.

A detailed and long winded explanation as to why and how this happened can be found below the cut!

Within my Wild Violet AU, Zach turns from a life of villainy after the birth of his and my OC Violet’s oldest daughter Varina Virginia Varmitech. Immediately following her birth, Zach and Aviva have a discussion regarding the importance of a happy, healthy, comfortable, and full life for all living creatures, more of which can be found at this post!

This discussion helps Zach to come to the realization that he no longer feels the burning desire to be a villain like he once did; he in fact may not want to be a villain at all anymore. In the month after Varina’s birth, Zach and Violet are kept apart from Varina because she is in the NICU. They spend as much time with her as possible, and the Wild Kratts crew come by to visit the new family as well (either with Varina in the hospital or with Zach and Violet at Zach’s headquarters).

Zach and Aviva manage to rekindle their friendship during this time. At first their interactions are still tense, but they eventually become as close as they were as kids at summer camp prior to their falling out (I’ll be posting more on this, in response to another ask, soon).

Aviva becomes such a strong source of encouragement to Zach as he struggles through the first months of fatherhood. And during this time, she continuously encourages him to truly consider turning from a life of villainy as he expressed following Varina’s birth. Zach begins to consider what his life may look life if he’s not a villain, and he goes to Violet with dilemma.

Zach: “I just don’t know what I’ll do if I’m not a villain…”

Violet: “Well, what did you do before you became a villain?”

Zach: “I invented…I dreamed of becoming the World’s Greatest Inventor…”

Violet: “Then there’s your answer: Invent. Make the inventions that will help you to achieve that goal.”

Zach: “But…Aviva…she made my greatest invention…the Creature Power Disks…how can I compete with that?”

(PS: I will give moor info on this in another post very soon!)

Violet: “Who says you have to compete with her? Why can’t you make an even greater invention that the world will always remember you for? I’ve been telling you for years that you’re capable of anything you set your mind to, and you are!”

Zach: “I know…but…I just can’t do what she does alone. Sure, I have you and the Zachbots, but I really want to make a difference like Aviva has, and I just don’t think we can do that by ourselves.”

Violet: “Yeah, I think you’re right, you’d need a well formed team to reach your goals, and a team of a husband, wife, and an army of robots isn’t enough…”

Zach: “What are you saying?”

Violet: “Maybe we should ask some Wild Rats if they’d like for a couple of Wild Violets to join their team?”

Zach: “You mean work with the Wild Rats?!?! Invent with Aviva?!?!”

Violet: “Bingo! Zachy is the winner!”

So, Zach and Violet join the Wild Kratts Team and Zach and Aviva become invention partners working to better the world around them through their inventions! I have yet to determine the exact nature of their joint inventions, but they typically contain the basic components included in Aviva’s previous inventions: Animal inspiration.

I also think that together, with the help of Violet and the rest of the Wild Kratts Crew, Zach and Aviva embark on a mission to find a cure for cancer. Again, I am not 100% sure of the way in which this would occur, but I think they may discover a plant with extreme healing properties, and Zach and Violet realize that these properties may cure cancer. Aviva, then, assists them and together the three of them and the rest of the team create this much needed, life saving cure.

Varina’s Hero is Who?!?

Another little Ziolet scene with baby girl Varina in tow! Enjoy!

Zach and a six month pregnant Violet visit Varina’s preschool on Back to School Night (usually takes place a month after school starts around where I live) and Varina’s teacher has decked out the classroom with the children’s art work. The teacher pulls Zach and Violet aside to show them a piece of Varina’s art work…

Read the rest below, there are a few mildly suggestive references, so please be aware! Also enjoy a crudely drawn piece of artwork and terrible handwriting by me, lol.

Teacher: “Mr. And Mrs. Varmitech, I don’t want to alarm you, it’s not a bad thing, but I wanted to show you this so you were aware in case anyone mentions it to you…”

Violet *panicking*: “Oh no, she didn’t draw the rhinos, uhhh…wrestling…again did she?”

Zach *snickering*: “Vi, they weren’t wrestling they were…“

Violet *baring her teeth, hissing his name*: “ZACH!”

Zach *still giggling*: “Hehe, fine, sorry…”

Teacher *looking embarrassed*: “Oh no! Nothing like that! Thank goodness! It’s just….well, we had the class draw a picture of their hero…”

The teacher points to a decently drawn (for a 4 year old) picture of….

Zach and Violet *shouting*: “Gourmand!”

Teacher: “Yes, she called him Gourmy, but why I want you to see it is…well, if you can read the caption she wanted to include that we had her copy on the side…”

(This is similar to how my 5 year olds draw and write, lol).

Zach and Violet move closer and read the caption, both of their mouths drop in horror:

“Gourmy is my hero because he broke up with daddy so mommy and daddy could fall in love.”

Violet *shaking her head, she presses her hands to her temples and starts massaging them*: “Only our child would say something like that…”

Zach *gritting his teeth*: “That’s the last time we let Gourmand babysit….as soon as we leave here I’m calling that food loving loser…”

Varina *bouncing up to them, having been playing with her friends nearby in the room*: “Who are you calling, daddy?”

Zach *picking her up*: “Well…Uhhh, Gourmy, your teacher was just showing us your art work I am going to call and...uuuhhhh, tell him about it…”

Varina: “Oh good, take a picture too, he’ll love it! Do you love it daddy? I made sure to make his hat nice and big!”

Violet covers her mouth with one hand to stifle her laughter and clutches her belly with the other, muttering: “and we thought it was a good idea to have another one,” to herself.

Zach *groans and starts walking away with Varina*: “Excuse us for a minute, Vari and I need to have a chat.”

Violet *looks to the teacher sheepishly before following Zach*: “I am so sorry…we’ll talk to her.”

There is actually an “alternate ending” for this one, but it was kind of pg-13 in rating (nothing explicit but suggestive) so I opted for this ending instead, if you’d like to see the other ending, let me know!

Introducing Zach and Violet’s Kiddos!

So, I’ve decided to make a reference post for each child Zach and Violet have together, but to start off with, I’m going to give you their names and reference pictures!

I’ve listed each child according to their age, from oldest to youngest. I created all the images through Apple’s Memoji feature, and I made the decision to show each child as they will look once they are teens/adults, because the children feature through Memoji looks odd to me, lol.
