Melebihi Kapasitas, Sampah Warga Depok dialihkan Ā TPPAS Lulut Nambo

(MJM)

We didnāt get a S4 announcement, but you know what the absolute best thing about todayās C2E2 Hannibal panel truly was?Ā
For almost the first time since the show ended, Fannibals showed how profitable Hannibal can still be.Ā
C2E2 sold out of their remaining VIP ticket packages with guaranteed panel seating within 48 hours of the reunion announcement. Paid PopVerse subscriptions to stream the panel spiked with previously untapped demos (if socials are anything to go by). The largest event hall at C2E2 was overcapacity 45 minutes before the panel; while thatās normal for cons like SDCC and NYCC, in my experience thatās less common at C2E2.
Not to mention Mads and Hugh making bank with autograph and photo-op sales; a huge component of drawing in good talent to table at cons as well, making sure they make enough over the weekend to justify their presence beyond panel appearances. From a talent booking/event management perspective, this is the absolute dream scenario.
So, hereās the super fun part: ReedPop, the company that owns C2E2, also owns/operates New York Comic Con (NYCC), one of the highest-profile US entertainment conventions after San Diego Comic-Con. Now that ReedPop is aware of the viability of Hannibal programming, it would be extremely surprising if RP didnāt attempt a run at a larger, proper reunion panel at NYCC.
Honestly, great job, team. 2024 could very well be the year we get real buzz going again!
#Hannibal#C2E2#mads mikkelsen#hugh dancy#Hannigram#not jinxing it but this is also the kind of engagement that helps with renewal/revival conversations >.>#Proof thereās a market thatāll show up#And thereās a lot more to this#like Bryan not being āinvitedā#But in my experience what happened here is Mads and Hugh got booked to table separately and once they confirmed participation#C2E2 moved forward on the āreunionā panel idea but it was never an āofficialā Hannibal reunion#but RP usually follows trends pretty well and I trust theyāll consider expanding the talent pool#Iām ballparking a lot here since im not on the RP team but from the outside this is all verrrrrryyyyyy good for us#fannibal

If you live around the Charleston area, animal shelters are critically overcrowded and they desperately need people to adopt their cats, kittens, and dogs. Now through Sunday June 8, adoptions are only $50! I already have three cats (and my landlord thinks I only have two), so Iām sharing this with the hope that at least one person will see this and adopt a sweet little fluffball of their own.

house would convert to judaism just to make wilsonās life a little more surreal. wilson would show up to his crowded beyond overcapacity little reform synagogue on rosh hashana just to find house sitting in his reserved folding chair, surrounded by little old ladies saying stuff like āwelcome to the tribeā and telling him that his domestic partner is so wonderful to go through all that for him, at which point taub would walk in on the arm of someone elseās wife, see the two of them, and excuse himself to go pull the fire alarm.

Iām gonna be honest, I have such a hard time imagining what summers for Tom Riddle were like.
I am currently a student and I take several classes that reference WWII so I naturally fell into the rabbit hole out of interest. Due to this I know a decent bit about the time, but Iām specifically interested in how it affected the general population.
Since I find Tom Riddle interesting I looked into what was happening in London during the time and thereās so many possibilities it makes my head spin. I thought Iād just put down all of my thoughts into a post, but remember this isnāt referring to his character. This will be entirely academic and how you decide he would react to his predicaments is up to you.
WWII started September 1, 1939 with the invasion of Poland. Right of the bat people of Britain were scared and unsure of what was to come as citizens should be. They also knew that if there was to be an invasion or attack it would take place in London first and foremost. This led to mass evacuations to the country side which consisted mainly of mothers, children and the disabled for men were drafted and women were needed to keep Britain running.
However, these children were likely to be younger because hands were needed and just single or childless women werenāt enough. I assume teens were advised to stay for the need of workers for military production was essential. However, Tom was at Hogwarts at this time so he would not be in London during this mass evacuation.
Since nothing had happened for a prolonged period of time people began to believe they had overreacted and many returned to London before the Blitz. I donāt know what Woolās would have done in this time, but I have a few assumptions.
First, they could have completely relocated to the countryside, which I find to be the least likely of all options, but I digress. They could have sent their youngest charges to the countryside to āfosterā families. Or, they could have continued to fully operate in London, not bothering to relocate whatsoever.
If they relocated Tom would be made unaware leaving him to completely fend for himself during the summers after this because they definitely wouldnāt come back. However, Iām gonna act like that option is null despite it being possible.
The summer of 1940 Tom likely returned to Woolās as he had previously. He also wouldnāt be working at this age because he was 13 and the Children and Young Persons Act of 1933 was probably still being enforced. It made it to where anyone under 16 would have a hard time getting a job because it was illegal.
Now, the Blitz began on September 7, 1940 and ended May 11, 1941. Tom wouldnāt have been in London during this time but several things could have happened. Woolās would have either been completely demolished during this time or been working in overcapacity. Both would have most likely meant Tom would not be welcomed back, but I wonāt say itās not possible he was allowed back.
At this point the child labor law I mentioned was practically null. This means Tom could work at the age of fourteen which wasnāt uncommon at this time. Money was a necessity now because Tom now has to pay for his rations during this time, and he might need it to bribe people for places to stay if heās homeless.
He might have also had to help with the cleaning of the rubble, but who knows.
Tom might have been able to escape to the country side eventually, but I find that unlikely. But who knows? He is Tom Riddle after all.
Anyways, just a little ramble on the few avenues that could be taken if someone wants to write a time accurate fic or something. Itās also why I canāt decide what I want to believe because thereās so much uncertainty.
(@melody-nelson your tags on my last WWII post made me think of this, so thank you!)

Venom Overfilling , Open.
Too much engex, attention distracted. Why didn't he check them? Had it been that long? System warnings shot him online from recharge. A violent shudder coursed through his frame. Venom Tanks in Overcapacity. Purging; Recommend , flashed through his systems. The warning, delayed, he felt it, the ache, already began. How long ago?
His servo clutched upon his chassis, while he scrambled up from the floor, ground? Where in the Primus had he recharged at? Unfamiliar place, not a berch, ugh. His frame shook, legs barely able to keep him up. He felt the trickle of venom flowing inside his frame. His venom tanks near bursting, leaking. Not good. The paralyzing progressed further with each drop. Why, why wasn't his frame immune?! Fragging stupid scientist failed at everything--
With staggering pede steps, he forced himself through the door, oh-- Oh! A fellow cybertronian! Yes, perfect, he didn't need to purge it onto the floor! Bite them and let them deal with it! Clink, clink, crash. His legs fell from under him, locked, twitching. The side of his helm crashed against the floor, right behind the other. Limbs in a tangled mess, paralyzed, vocals glitched with an array of curses. Scrap, how shameful.
His denta parted, golden optics flickered, before a pour of purple liquid began to pour out from between his derma. No choice, he had to. Such a waste. All of it was spilling on the floor, onto him, and with the angle, some of it leaked back down his intake. His frame, stunned into stillness, with occasional shifts of scale plates. His EM field, mix with panic and hostility. His spark, stuttered.
#Open Rp~#Darkfang~Main#//Or any au#//also could be taken as a tiny drabble xd#//just daily -- putting him through a blender

Yall young people have so much to look forwards.
Yeah, if you're environmentally and ecologically conscientous, it has never been a better time. Do you know why we didn't already have electric cars?
It's not because of some massive coverup and greedy oily oil barons. The energy barons have always maintained desire to invest in and reap benefits from anything that reaps dividends. Energy will always reap dividends. Renewable energy, if even worth investing in, will reap dividends like the expensive, hard process of mining and drilling for oil and then refining and selling it.
It's because the technology and the science simply wasn't there. Not enough to practically and economically provide for our needs. When you see people screaming about how "It already existed!! We just need to.. rethink our needs!" You've likely come across someone that takes a radically bad stance on exactly what an individual's needs are.
There exists a kind of crunchy, borderline totalitarian asshole that, believe it or not, isn't the usual kind of totalitarian asshole, which is often associated with the right wing and Nazis! This totalitarian asshole asks, "What does a person need, really?" And their answer is, "An overarching state and society to govern for The People, and provide for them what has been determined to be their Needs."
When they say, The People, they don't mean you and your individual requirements. They mean the abstract, conceptual, platonic Man, the conceptual human person, and then they ignore you and try to interact with this conceptual ideal. And then they determine how to ration for you. They'll demand you conform to their plan, and then maybe you'll get X amount of a thing to live on, no more no less, as they brag about providing for The People.
Shortages will inevitably happen from this approach, and then you'll survive on half of that, which has been determined to be your new needs. That's the sort of person that thinks you can survive on X-much of resources, if only they can huddle you and a hundred other someodd people onto public transportation that operates on a timer and engineer cities to have a maximum capacity (which will inevitably be overcapacity as more people than they expected arrive to exist there) and their carefully conceived brave new world where they've used shitty math to shortchange people comes back to bite everybody.
Need housing? They deign to stick you into a locker sized Chinese style apartment and think, great, I've created livable housing for millions of people in the same space as used to house hundreds! Yay me!
Need food? Oh, simple; they'll just feed you food that's as simple as possible and emphasize vegetables because they're non-controversial and don't require as complicated a growing cycle or as messy as what happens when their needs aren't met and there's cruelty or unsanitary conditions to worry about. No one goes to court advocating on behalf of pumpkins. So, "wouldn't it just be easier if you were vegetarian or vegan? Your needs would be so much easier to mee! C:"
That sort of person believes if you just "make personal choices" to be as low maintenance and nonmobile and rock eating as possible, the little electrical power generated for transportation and heating and keeping the lights on should be enough to design a whole society around NOW! Don't you want that!? Me neither.
This is why we didn't switch to 100% renewables. The technology and science just does not exist, yet. Yes if we have absurd amounts of (currently toxic, currently difficult to develop and acquire components for solar cells) solar power, we're going to use it, but outside of using giant flywheels or liquid salt heat batteries to power things when the sun isn't shining, we just do not have base load coverage for the needs of society without shortchanging and radically redefining society and how it functions.
The way they would propose society to function is very centralized, top down and authoritarian. That does not meet our needs for personal liberty. But they don't care about that.
And this is important, because the science and technology ARE creeping up to the minimum by which we'll be able to generate enough mega or giga amps required for every individual person. We finally will have the battery capacity to actually store and DO something with all that renewable and nuclear fission derived power!
THAT is the secret sauce, people under 25. THAT is the beauty of this era! It isn't that humanity is "finally sloughing off the yoke of the aristocrats." It's that the actual science and technology is close to fruition where it isn't a violation of physics and entropy to actually have nigh infinite, free electrical power, without either polluting the atmosphere with particulates until it's unbreathable mess, polluting the land and sea until everything dies in the eco-system, or trying to live "within the means" of what renewables can do and rationing our power consumption to one hour a day.
Just having the ability to switch out a fuel powered jet engine with a rechargable solid state battery for turbofan jet engined flight, just having electrically driven boats, we save so much pollution and inefficient energy consumption from even happening. I can't emphasize enough just how big a game changer sufficiently powerful and capacitied batteries are and how essential they are to address power needs.
They change EVERYTHING. They make it possible so residential solar and wind can charge up a house battery, making it possible to function with emergency energy during hard times. They make it possible to outperform internal combustion engines by just simply not consuming enormous amounts of power while idling in traffic. They make transporting power easy peasy, rather than using large pipes or driving it on trains or truck convoys to deliver it.
You kind of came in at the last second of the game and you're probably horrified at the prospects of the world just plain collapsing from climate change and pollution. The Greta Thunbergs of the world didn't help, and then the reactionary Andrew Tates performing by arguing with them really didn't help.
Alternatives to plastic that either are biodegradable or actually recyclable have been developing since the 90s. Plasma wands for particulate free garbage incineration have been available for some time, dealing with our toxic materials can't go in incinerator problems. Heavy metals and carcinogen pollutant areas can be cleaned via use of specific kinds of grubs and earthworms, which rend the materials inert. Biodegradable biomass can be handled before it becomes methane, or the methane captured and put to use.
The biggest alarmists promising unless we "radically do something NOW" are often the kinds of people that believe if you'd just surrender personal autonomy, personal liberty, personal mobility, expectations of actually having a home of your own to live in, then they could have their Brave New World they want. They hate nuclear power because, "it's not radically upsetting to the status quo enough."
It's important to realize solutions are either there, or have been worked on since decades before you were born and either are already being employed, are in the process of getting employed, or are almost ready for the system to capitalize on and solve big problems. And the people screaming about how "no one is doing anything/ they're doing nothing because of greed/ short sighted selfishness" have a very particular bridge to sell you.
